Super-charged Saturday
Good morning,
Where is everyone? I wanted to report that I did pretty good at the Olive Garden last night. My husband and I split the pumpkin cheese cake. I will admit that I was very full when I left and I know that I ate a little to much, because it was somewhat uncomfortable to breathe for about a 1/2 hour later. I came home and wrote in my journal about how that made me feel physically and what it did to my emotions about staying on track. I feel ok with what I had, but I should have only had 1 breadstick, instead of two and I finished my entree and I could have taken about a 1/4 of it home instead. It's ok...it's was a learning lesson. Have grocery shopping on the list today as well as getting my photo taken. I also have laundry. I better get cracking. Susie |
Susie ;)
Have a great shopping day! Oh and I ate way to much yesterday myself...BUT today is a new day and a new chance to make the right decisions  |
My Friday wasn't too bad. Restaurant food is so much richer than the stuff I make at home. Hopefully my new department won't eat out/cater in as often. I start on Monday! :o
My son and I saw The Wedding Crashers last night. I didn't think I'd like it, but I laughed out loud throughout most of the movie ... and I needed that. In fact, we both needed it. Both of us have been through quite a bit of "heavy stuff" lately, and laughter is such a wonderful therapy. I also love-love-love Owen Wilson. Not in a "hottie" way, but I just think he plays the smarmy guy so well. I also realized how deliciously tall Vince Vaughn is ... I like tall men (I'm 5'10½"). The movie had a few slightly uncomfortable breast-baring incidents, and some adult situations, but I expressed my discomfort later and we talked about it. He and I are pretty open about sexuality; my thoughts are if he can talk about it with me, then at least I know he can be comfortable talking about it with a potential partner. This weekend, we're focusing on getting DS ready to start back at his new/old school and getting me ready to start my new job. This means cleaning the house (it got kinda messy when we were driving all the time over the past few weeks), getting him some school supplies, and me making sure I have enough clean clothes to start the new job. We also have to grocery shop for the week, and I haven't a clue what is on the menu for today. I will update later! Have a great weekend ... |
