Unhappy Why...need to vent!

Ok so another week had passed by and still I am really letting things slip away. Yes last week I did weigh in with a 2.5lb loss which totally shocked me being I had not worked out at all. However this last week i ate like crap the entire week and did not exercise once and I weighed in tonight with a .5 gain.
I said that I was going to get back to the gym last week and well with starting my new job I was totally exhausted each night and never went to the gym once. There is absolutely no way that I can get up any earlier and go before work - I would be a wreck since I am not a morning person as is.
Im thinking that I am going to have to start taking my workout clothes with me to work and then just take the bus straight to the gym after work so Im not tempted to just stay home.
I really really really wanna lose this weight. I am going home in December and it will be the first time I will have seen a lot of my relatives since I moved in November. I really wanna look good when I go home and see them again.
I also thought that I had been doing somewhat good having lost some weight however now that I have begun wedding dress shopping (we are now planning for July 1, 2006 for the big traditional wedding we never had) I feel that any success I have had is not enough - it's soo depressing going dress shopping and not being able to find many dresses in your size to try on. I want to look soo good for our wedding - I really dont like how I looked at our first wedding (bulging everywhere) and am desperate to look beautiful for this one.
My best friend of 14yrs. was here a couple weeks ago and it was kinda depressing that she did not even notice that I had lost 20lbs since the last time that I had seen her. Makes me definately think that the people who have said they could see a change must just be saying it to make me feel good.
I have got to...have got to...have got to get back to the gym and also start cooking meals for supper. I have to do it and not just say it....I am going to start going to the gym again tomorrow after work.
I just don't understand how I could want something sooooooooo darn bad but let myself become soooo unmotivated to get what I want.
Sorry this is soo long...I just had to get it off my chest.

Kari- I know how you feel ...I have done the same thing......set a goal and then not meaning too...I self sabatoge I think all of us can relate The good news is that your gain was a very small one and that you can do really well this week and all the next- Yesterday is gone.....Today is fresh with no mistakes in it Go from here, wipe yourself off and GO YOU WILL MEET YOUR GOAL....YOU ARE WORTH IT so dont let anything stop you......put a picture of the dress you WANT to be wearing on your fridge and every time you are tempted to use food and dull your sences...look at that dress You can do this, and we are all here to help cheer you on

I am one to talk.....I sabatoged my goal this week too, so every word I said to you hit me square in the jaw and I am back on the right track with you

I don't think that, because your friend didn't notice 20 lbs, it's not noticeable to others. Don't let that get you down - some people just don't notice that stuff, while others will notice the most minute detail. I know personally I don't notice weight loss until it's well beyond 20 pounds.
