family/cooking meals?

Hello ladies,
I was just curious as to how you all go about cooking meals at home. Do you make one meal and your entire family will eat healthy with you as well or do you make something seperate for yourself aside from what you cook for your family?
I am just trying to figure out how to do this...I am somewhat new to marriage and not used to cooking for the two of us. It really would not be soo bad however my husband is the pickiest eater ever and I have also noticed he tends to think he needs to eat a lot.
He pretty much doesn't like any vegetables...he always wants peas or corn and occassionally will eat carrots. However he never eats salads, mushrooms, onions, broccolli, cauliflower, zuchinni, green beans -- none of that stuff.
How do I go about trying to eat healthy?? I feel selfish saying this but I almost feel like telling him "if ya dont wanna eat what i make then make something yourself".
Anyone else been through this or have any advice??
thanks in advance
kari

Hi Kari,

What I do for me and hubby and three kids...

I make our main dish (our meat) healthy for everyone ....

Then let him eat the corn or peas as the side dish and make you a small salad for your side.

That way you are both eating the same meal but with different side items.

Hope you find something that works for you :)

GOOD LUCK :)

I cook the same meal for my hubby and children. I do use the FF cream soups, lite sour cream, or low fat alternative when ever possible. Some times I will make only enough baked potatoes for them, and I have their favorite salad dressing for them also.

Our hubbys seems to be the same LOL,
I too like Penny, cook the main meat dish and then make a salad or veggie for me and a potatoe and corn for him, we both like spagetti and chili and even ham and beans so it makes it a little easier.
