Penny is doing good.I talked to her last night and she has lights which is a great blessing. The crews from NC could not go into New Orleans so they started repairing other towns first. She sounds good and the damage to her home is not severe. Her husband should be able to do repairs himself when he can.He is busy working which is also good as some people no longer have jobs.
It was good to talk to her and as I said she sounded pretty good. It has been and still is a bad expereince but it is getting better
Hi Ladies!
I can't believe the incredible support you get from friends many of miles away. You are all so special to me and a big part of my life. I am very touched by all the love and support you have gave to me and many others in the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.
We, at our house, are back up and running as far as power, water and such but things will not be the same for a long time. There are house just blocks down from here who are out of power still so we are blessed to be back with lights so soon. The schools here are being used as shelters, utilitity worker campouts, food is being passed out there and so forth. So the children will be out until at least October they say.
But for the most part little by little things are going back to some sort of normalicy. They still have many people surrounding us that still need help so we are doing as much as we can.
Thank you and God Bless you all for your support!
Penny
