Wednesday

Hello everyone,

Finally able to take some time and post. Since it is so late in the day there might end up being 2 threads for today. LOL!

SRD was wonderful. The theme was 'Teddy Bears on Parade'. There were so many teddy bears that were gathered and given away as prizes. Last I heard there were about 600 of them. One of the workshops was on dressing and using colors to our advantage in clothing. Informational, but I wish the speakers would print up handouts so members would have something to refer to. Another was on chair exercises and how the intensity could vary depending on the individuals needs. The graduation class was very small - only 7 - but the KOPS circle of lights is always nice. Our King and Queen are a nice looking couple and will be heading to Seattle next month for IRD.

I think the numbers were down at SRD this year since we are hosting IRD next year in Colorado Springs and people are trying to save up money. That is a very BEAUTIFUL city. I can't wait for that one!!

I am doing OK. I know I will still be over goal tonight...but the main thing is that I stay in lee-way! Hope the scale will be kind to me. I was not able to go last week and won't next week since I am going away for a couple of weeks Fri. Can't wait to do some fun things. Everything for the past 2 months has been work.

It sounds like some of us out in cyber-land are doing great and others never give up on ourselves. I have to give everyone so much credit for hanging in on this board and supporting each other in whatever way they can. A 'little hello' and report is important to keeping us all going on our way to healthier bodies, even if it is only once a month or so. Life is busy at times and we all know that!! LOLOLOL

Everyone is wished my best and you all are in my thoughts. Keep up all the great work and I will check back in when I return in a couple of weeks.

TOPS HUGS,
Summer

Trying one more

This one is of our new King and Queen and runners up... Their stories and testimonials renewed my hope that if you want something bad enough it Will happen.... I got alot of inspiration from everyone there...I cant wait to graduate next year.... I am more determined than ever to be in the circle of lights with all those wonderful people:D

I know if they did it we all can... it may not be easy but the rewards are so gonna be worth the sacrifices we have to make!!!

Hello everyone!

Christie-loved the pictures! Our SRD was this past weekend, but I did not go. There were 4 members from our chapter that did though. They had a wonderful time and from what I understand the KOPS circle of light is beautiful! The SRD was in Niagara Falls. One chapter in my area had 31 members attend! I would love to go to one, but my children are 4, 6, and 8, and that makes getting away very difficult. If I ever make KOPS status I would find a way to be there for sure. I have at least 50 more pounds to go, and that is with a very very generous goal slip from my doctor!

My TOPS meeting was yesterday and I lost 4.25 pounds. I was really busy with my garage sale all week, with getting ready and all, I knew I would have a loss. I had a gain of the same thing about 3 or so weeks ago so I was glad it decided to leave me again. The bad thing is I went to a picnic yesterday and a volunteer appreciation dinner at the elementary school tonight, so I hope I didn't undo my big loss. I just have to be very careful the rest of the week.

Have a good day

Laurie
