Thursday
Just a quick hello as I have to hit the pool. My daughter sent me the following info and I do not know if it is true but it sounds like a good safety idea. I hope it is ok to post it here. I am doing it as I figure it does no harm and could help.I do not always have a purse with me but cell usually is.
Subject: ICE...In Case of Emergency Paramedics will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that person's identity. You can make their job much easier with a simple idea that they are trying to get everyone to adopt: ICE. ICE stands for In Case of Emergency. If you add an entry in the contacts list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and phone no. of the person that the emergency services should call on your behalf, you can save them a lot of time and have your loved ones contacted quickly. It only takes a few moments of your time to do. Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately. ICE your cell phone NOW! |
Eleni!
Thanks so much for posting that! I have never heard of it but now I am forwarding it to everyone on my list! :) |
I sent the following to most of you recently and wanted you to know that a friend contacted the 911 supervisor for Pinellas County Florida. It is true for Pinellas county Florida. Which means it probably is legit many other places also. I have plenty of room on my cell so I saw no harm in doing it so I did. But wanted you to know it is true here anyway It should be easy to check out in your state
