Hi Ladies
How is everyone doing. Just seems like I never can get back on here. I sure do miss you all. I think of you all the time.
Things are starting to calm down here now. Back in Jan hubby had a mini stroke. So had alot of Dr appts. Then he was in Physical Therapy. But he finished up PT Fri. So that will help with the running. And now maybe I can get on here some more.
So how has everyone been doing. I am going to have to go through and read the threads and hopefully get caught up on how everyone is doing. The weight loss here is so-so. Still trying to do the points. Have been losing and gaining the same 3 lbs forever. So hopefully some day I will lose those and not find them again.
Got a question for you ladies. It is about the gastric by-pass surgery. We have a lady in out TOPS group that had that done. And she has been winning everything. Now she says she cant have any royality title. And she is upset with that. But it seems to me in the TOPS mag there is all kinds of royality that has had the gastric by-pass. Does anyone know about this. She has lost 100 lbs in 6 months. I think that is too fast to lose. She was even losing her hair. So they have her on different kinds of vitamins now. But she is talking about quiting TOPs because she cant have royality. So if anyone has any comments let me know please.
Kinda cool and cloudy and a little drizzle here today. Was beautiful yesterday. We made Easter Eggs at church Friday night and Most of the day yesterday. So was pretty busy this weekend. Just trying to rest a little now.
Well I better get off here. Just wanted to check in. And let you ladies know that I havent forgotten you. Just be kinda tied up. Also been having computer problems. Hopefully someday soon I can get a new computer. That would be wonderful. Ok you ladies have a wonderful evening and take care.

But as far as quiting... it is ashame that she is only there for the material things and not at TOPS for her own weight loss efforts.

People who have had gastric by-pass are now in a new division, 9, and cannot be Royalty at any level. All you see in the Tops magazines are for the year before this new rule took place. Most people are happy about the rule because they felt they could not compete with those that had by-pass surgery.

Coco,As Nita said those that have had gastric by-pass can not be royalty.But they can be a KOP. We have had 2 people in our group.The first was our Queen and was even state division winner but that was before they changed the rules. Chapters should come up with alternate recognition for this people. When they were losing I gave seperate prizes for division they were in..So if they won we always had another winner that had not had surgury.That was only way I could come up with that would be fair to all.You can still award them incentives at a chapter level. They can compete against each other in the beginning when they are losing. Plus once they lose their weight and become a KOP they can win contests just like any KOP. And every chapter needs to have contest that will allow KOPS to win. Any contest that requires members to lose only requires a KOP to be in leeway.I am getting off subject.
TOPS tries to make rules that are in the best interest of them members. I am in favor of Division 9.

Sorry to hear that about your husband's stroke. Hopefully things are coming around for him and that your life is settling down.

I can see from the responses your question was answered. Hopefully this lady will stay in TOPS so that she can benefit ffrom learning to keep her weight off.

I completely understand your comment about losing and gaining the same 3 lbs over and over. I'm doing the same thing and frankly, I've had enough of it! But I'm the only one who can do something about them so if it's to be, it's up to me. I'm not giving up. I'm going to do it.

Hey girl it is great to hear from you. I am glad your husband is doing better. Now that you have been taking such great care of him it is now time to take care of YOU. You deserve it and we are here for you. Like we talked about before you have to start doing some things for you. I know it is hard but you have to girl. You are worth it and you will feel so much better to give to yourself as well as the others in your life. Hang in there. I think that is great that you haven't gained more then the 3 lbs with all that has been going on. Just think of today as a fresh new start for you and you can do this.

I hope the kids are feeling better soon. I was worried last night when my husband said his stomach was sick. I said oh no I hope we aren't going to get that stomach bug again like before. It is nasty and hits you quick. The money will be in the mail soon for you for the walk a thon. I raised $100.00 for you. I wanted to do more but I had more no's then yes's when I went door to door on saturday. But I figured it is more then you had before and no matter how much it all helps out. I hope you don't get sick girl. Open up those windows and spray lysol all over the house to try and kill those germs.

As for me I came to a conclusion yesterday and more today. I was looking for things in my life that aren't there and I was getting upset and down about it. I realized that I can't do that. I chose the path I am on and I am going to make the best of it. No I don't have everything that I want and I never will. But I do have it a lot better then a lot of others out there. I consider myself lucky with what I do have and thankful. I could be a lot worse. So I am off the poor me band wagon and I am heading in a new direction for this week. It is called make me happy with what I can and live for myself. My scale did go up this weekend because I ate too much on friday and saturday from being bummed out and setting my expectations too high. I am fine now. I did have a good weekend overall though.
Friday I took my daughter and her friend to a Luau dance while Jesse stayed with his Daddy. It was a lot of fun. We made big flowers out of tissue paper, leis, and they had face painting and tatoos and games. They also took a picture of the girls. They were wearing matching pink dresses and looked like twins. My friend bought them for christmas for the girls. They looked so cute. The pictures were free. I got one for me and one for my friend. Then they had the dance in the gym. There were a bunch of beach balls in there for them to play with and a DJ. They did the limbo, chicken dance and a hula hoop contest. I was glad I took them it was a fun night out for us.

Well nothing else going on here. The boys are taking their nap so it is quiet here. I think I will go exercise while they are sleeping. Me and megan went for a walk yesterday. It was cold but it felt great to get out.
