It sure makes us feel better when we get our hair done doesn't it? I need the top of mine cut it is too long. Did you get time to relax yesterday? Sounds like you had another busy day planned?

Glad you enjoyed the KOPS meeting? You are doing great and keeping your journal sure does help. Keep up the great work.

Jen,

Congrats on your loss on friday. Keep it up you are doing great.

As for me I am teaming up with Wendy to keep me motivated and on track. I think I am just thinking about the big picture and wanting to get there like NOW that I am not staying on track because it seems to hard to do. So I have taken a step back and have decided to start living in the moment and start enjoying what I am doing at that moment no matter what it is. Then all I have to worry about is writing down what I eat and making sure I don't go over my points. This way I am not thinking about it all the time and I can actually start enjoying life again. I know my scale is up and I will probably have a gain this week. But I am going to be accountable to wendy for what I eat and we are going to be checking in with each other daily to keep us going. We have to do this for US and I know we have what it takes to get there.
I get my car starter put in today that I got from my ex-boss for christmas. So I will be at my parents house this morning visiting with them while waiting for my car to be done. Not much else happening here. I have to go get my shower and get ready for the day.

Talk to you all later. Remember we have to live in the moment. We have to remember each day is a present and we have to live in the present. The past is gone and the future isn't here. We make our future by what we do in the present. That is a hard one for me but it is my goal of the day. Have a great day all.

I think it's terrific that you are going to "live in the moment". I sometimes get crazy with thinking about all I have to do. But I've found that when I think, ok..everything in it's own place and in it's own time, I can get it all done. That's living in the moment yes?

I'm also glad you found someone to be accountable to I think it can be a huge tool in keeping us on track. Keep hanging in there Sherri...a slip up isn't a reason to give up...keep going!

It's funny that you should mention doing that, because I have a "diet buddy" in Michigan and she asked me last night if for the next two weeks we could talk to each other for about 10 min each day and be accountable to each other. I said sure. We have it set up that I will call her at 10:00 pm (free minutes and long distance on my cell phone--aren't I cleaver? lol) and there is a list of questions that I want her to ask me to see how I'm doing and she has a list. I tell you,just knowing today that I was going to have to answer those questions, made me think twice about somethings. Like the doughnuts that were brought in the office this morning.

I'll let you all know how it goes and what the results of that are each week.

Also tonight my workout partner and I are adding 15 min to the cardio we do. We thought it was time to pump it up a little.

How's everyone else doing?

Don't forget the Valentine challenge! I'm not sure I"m going to make that goal excatly, but you know what...I'm still better off for trying it, because I'll be down instead of up because I focused on getting somewhere.
