  • GOOD MORNING LADIES!!!!!!

Gee, another week almost over. Time is just going waaaaaaaaay too fast!

Wendy, Sounds like you are frazzled and I can't blame ya. You have a lot going on. My thoughts and prayers are with your dad and mom. Oh boy, family can be such pains.....men, especially. Sometimes I wonder where they keep their heads! Opps, that could be taken another way, but don't! The trailor thing will work out. Stop and take some nice deep breaths.

Susie, I have some clothes that I've had for years and it is amazing the memories they can bring back. When I get this weight back off, they are heading out the door!

Sherri, hope your feeling better. It's been years since I've had one and I'll never forget that I didn't dare go far from the bathroom. The teacher at school is being great about having dd doing a 'job'. DD has a very creative para that works with her and they are going to make pinecone ornaments and decorations to sell at school. Whatever money is made will pay for the supplies. DD will make color and design choices by smiling at what she wants. The vocational rehab person did an intake interview with her 9 months ago and said he would do testing, but he has never called back....or returned calls. I'm going to hold him accountable and I got phone numbers at the conference that should light a fire under him. In regards to the college credits, each class has so many 'credit hours' assigned based on difficulty and time involved. After dropping one of her 3 hr Psych classes, what she has left is another Psych - 3 hrs, Statistics - 4 hrs and Spanish - 5 hrs. That puts her at 12 credits which is the minimum for full time status. They suggest that students plan on studying 2 hrs for every one that is taken, so she should be studying 24hrs a week. So that at 36hrs total is just about a full time job. She went to a community college for her associate in Science degree and thought it would be as easy at a University. HA! What an awakening she's having. She also feels like she's living in a zoo. She has been visited by raccoons and a black bear on the front porch where the garbage can is, seen a fox and deer in the yard, has a squirrel stalking her when she comes and goes and now a mouse in the house!!! There has never been mice in her grandma's house, so I'm not sure what she is doing! The only animals she hasn't had personal experiences with yet are skunks [our dog did tho!] and a mountain lion.......and I hope never for that one. They have been sighted in the area occasionally only because they go where the deer go. We're going to go down in a couple of weeks.

I gained 1/2# Wed, and I'm surprised it wasn't more. The foods served at the conference were very high carb, few vegies and little meat. Of course during breaks, cookies were served. You all know, those nice, big, soft cookies ladened with choc chips, caramel, and nuts!!!!! I will have a loss next week.

Must run. "HELLO" to everyone else I didn't personally address. May we all have a great day!!!!

  • Good morning Ladies,
I'm happy to report a 1 lb LOSS at last nights TOPS meeting. I had set my goal for 2 lbs, but I'm happy with the 1 lb. My goal for next week is to weigh less than I do this week.

Summer: It's really hard to not gain when a person has been in a position where they don't have control over what is being served to them. So, I'd say you did very well, in spite of the gain. I once thought I would have a big loss after I went to a conference. I ate in moderation and picked the best choices I could. I even used the hotel workout room, but I still gained. The leader of my group at that time told me it could have to do with the way the food is prepared and this little item that they use on things called "grill prep"..I guess it's loaded with fats and oil. That's why they food is so good and tastes different when we go out to eat. That grill prep adds calories and fat that we aren't aware of.

Time for me to get to work ladies. I'm planning on stoping back in after lunch today.
  • Summer,

Hey lady sounds like you are feeling better inside. That is good. Yes you will have a loss this week I know it. Yes light a fire under that guy he needs it from the sounds of it. So DD is finding out what it is to live on her own.LOL I am sure it is different for her and quiet compared to home. It does sound like a zoo.

    Christian,

I hope you are feeling better. Get some rest and some chicken soup. I hear that works although I don't like it.LOL How is the house coming are you done with it. The rooms sound great with what you did to them I can't wait to see them and I will. How is the eating going I know you were getting back on track. I like that ruler on your post it is cool. Where did you ever find that. I see the website but how did you find it? Take care and hope you feel better.

    Wendy,

How are you doing today? How is your parents doing? Have you talked to your brother yet? Brothers can be a pain I know I have one.LOL

    Susie,

I congratulate you on getting rid of the clothes. You say that you felt like you left a piece of yourself behind. Well if you think of it this way then you can say that you left the past behind not you. You are your spirit not your weight. You will be the real you when you get to your goal and you are happy on the inside and the out. Think about that. Just think the people at the consignment shop don't know you and they don't even look at the size then just think of the money.LOL Great job. It was a huge step. I know I will do that when the time comes to. I am one that hangs on to clothes as well. I am decluttering my life and that means getting rid of what I don't use.

I did clean in my bedroom this morning. Cleaned off the nightstand dusted it and dusted and cleaned off my dresser. The dresser was the mission for yesterday. So now I am on track. I didn't get to workout today I will go after work. I have to get it in. I have been dragging all week with sinuses making me sooooo tired and the bladder infection. I just want to sleep. But I can't. The 2 boys were up at 4am this morning. Don't know why so it was a very early morning for me earlier then normal. Can't wait to take a nap this weekend.

    Have a great day.

    Sherri
  • Wendy,
How is your dad doing today? That is sooo horrible to here. I will keep him in my prayers! On Brandon, have you tried the clasp pants? That is what Hunter wears with the magnet belt.... I didn't ask, does he wear uniforms?

    Susie,
Congrats on getting rid of the clothes. I just did the same thing! Congrats on the loss! Slow and surely wins the race!

    Christie,
How are you feeling? I just had that cold.... Sorry I gave it to you

    Sherri,
Sorry to hear about the bladder infection! Did they give you an antibiotic? Make sure you eat some yogurt so you don't get a yeast infection also!

    Summer,
I know you will have a great loss this week! You can do it lady!

    Eleni,
    You are in my prayers!

    Wanda,
