Good morning all.
Susie, if I might ask, what is IC? I think it's good that you went to weigh in. That is the most difficult time to go. Sheri-Yeah, I noticed right away with Garret and the formula. He isn't spitting it up. Still has some gas, but way better to handle than before. I do use the gas drops. The boys are watching cartoons together this morning while I get this in. Me-not much going on. Brandon and I got our hair cut last night. Hubby mowed lawn, and we ate dinner at 9:30. Went to bed at 10 up at 2, ect, ect. Paradise is calling us today. Should be some fun. Still haven't bitten my nails since I had Garret. Although the cuticles are looking rough. Will get there. Got Brandon's school clothes yesterday. What a job. Brandon has short legs, and long torso. He has a little tummy, but not bad. Talk about having problems finding clothes. I was always fat growing up, so I had that problem. Hubby was more solid, and had the same problem that we are having with Brandon. 7x, too small, 8 reg to tight, 8 reg loose fit works, or 8 with elastic. 8 husky forget it. I actually tried on a pair of boys husky, and they almost fit, couldn't get them snapped, but got them over my butt. If i ever or should i say, when i get to my weight, and get rid of the tummy, Kids clothes are a lot cheaper. Well gotta go, stuff is calling me. later. have a great weekend. |
Good morning ShortStack: It's great to hear that the formula is helping Garrett.
I wish I could have nice looking nails. I'm always cleaning and scrubbing something (believe it or not, doing house work relaxes me!--I think it's because I can't stand to have things messy, sort of unbalances me), so my nails are short. I try to keep clear polish on them..that's about the extent of it. I think it's hard to find clothes to fit little kids. Their bodies are so different and changing all the time, and everthing fits differently, so they must try everthing on..and kids usually don't want to do that! You asked what IC is. The full name of the disease is Interstitial Cystitis and it is: Interstitial Cystitis is a bladder and pelvic pain disorder affecting millions men, women and children throughout the world. With symptoms of frequency, urgency. and/or pain, diagnosis can be elusive. Patients are often misdiagnosed with UTI. The gag layer in the bladder has thinned for some reason, and there is pinpoint bleeding on the bladder wall, that can only be seen with a Cysto/Hydro test. It's not a fun disease at all! It showed up for me after my hysterectomey last year. I'm slowly getting better with a combination of medicines and diet. There is no cure at this time for the disease. But there is a drug called Elmiron that works for some people; it helps to rebuild the lining of the bladder. The Elmiron seems to be working for me. Plus I take Ditropan XL to help with the frequency and Elavil to help with some of the pain issues. I also can't have anything citrus or acidy, so eating is not always easy. The good things is, that I have lost weight because I can't have things like soda, chocolate, etc. If you want to read more about it you can do so by going to www.ic-network.com When I first found out I had this disease, I was angry and depressed and then I realized that while I had cause to feel that way, it wasn't going to get me anywhere, so I might as well figure out how to live with it. Some days are hard, but I'm thankful that they are becoming fewer and further between. Now, as for what's currently going on with me; well I was up a little on the scales last night. I have a 2.75 gain. I wasn't surprised because I hadn't worked out (due to the sinus infection) and when I don't exercise, I gain. I plan on turning things around this week. Susie |
