MORNING LADIES!!!! Hope the sun is out in your part of the country. Must say that I am happy to see that other people have gotten some of this white stuff. It will be around here until May!!!
Sherri, THANK YOU for making me grab onto those horns. I am one that really needs that scale to make me stay alert to what I am doing. I have not been on since last Wed and I had a HORRIBLE awakening last eve. It looks like I have had a BIG gain. :cry: I am VERY upset at myself and the stupidity. I KNOW better than to ignore the scale. I'll post what the results are on the Dec weigh in thread after my meeting tonight. All of us really do need to stay alert about what we put in our mouths this month. It is going to be a challange and I have decided that I just need to say 'NO!' and not even taste, thinking that I can stop.............because I don't! How does everyone else do???? Are you able to 'portion control' when it comes to the yummy stuff??? Have a wonderful day everyone. Don't forget how good water is for our bodies. Helps fill us up and lubricate our joints!!......Not to mention that it makes our skin look nicer, especially for those of us that live in dry climates. Oh, oh, oh......I forgot to say last week before I left town that I am SO THANKFUL FOR ALL YOU WONDERFUL WOMEN on this board. Summer-sorry to hear about your possible gain. I feel the same way you do about the scale. I try not to let it control me as bad as it did, there are other ways to measure your success. Exercising daily, keeping a food chart, (one of the hardest things for me to do, but it does keep me in check), making small goals and achieving them, working on your inner being, (many shows on tv are showing the positive results that doing this can have on weight loss, and the maintance of weight loss), taking your measurements, these are a few ways to measure success. there are many more. But I know how you feel. You can get this weight off a little bit at a time.
Sherri- you are doing awsome. It's gotta feel good to get back on track. me-well i made the 50# off on MOnday night, and last night I just wanted to eat. Just before you know what. I hate that too. I caught myself before too late. I was able to exercise this morning, and last night at curves. Haven't been there since last monday, because of the holiday. Or pipes froze yesterday morning, so we had to work on thawing the pipes last night. No big deal really. Man I would love this cold weather even more if I didn't have to get out in it. Only a couple of more weeks, and I have 2 weeks off. It's going to be really hard making it to curves those 2 weeks. Probably do a lot at home. I'm trying to come up with a new list to help me get organized, based on time and priority. It's a little bit different, but it's what i've been wanting to do all along. Oops, I gotta go, i've got to make my bed before I leave this morning. Almost forgot Sherri. Tops hugs, and prayers me. |

I am with you the scale still plays a role in my life but It isn't the main focus like it was. I did get on again today and it was down yet another lb to 182. So far that is the lowest it has been in a year. So I am very happy and know that I have been very successful in my life in all parts not just the weight. As for me I have to stay away from the goodies as well as you do. I can't control myself. Well I shouldn't say that. We can all control ourselves if we really want to. But the point is we don't. That is why it is easier for me to just say no then to get a taste and go out of control. That way I know I stay on plan. I know you can do this. Like wendy said there are a lot more ways to prove our accomplishments other then the scale. You just have to say no more to the goodies and start eating the right stuff. Get filled up on healthy foods instead of going to the Garage.LOL You can do this and I am behind you 100% girl. You are stronger then he is. Go girl Go. Yesterday went well with the babysitting. I only have him for 2 hours today so I won't have to take him to school with me today. Megan and him got along great he is very quiet but doesn't like to pick up his toys.LOL I won that battle. He will learn. I got a call yesterday from the girl that had called the other day. I guess I am going to start watching her 2 kids next week. She is supposed to call me back with the schedule. She has a 2 1/2 yr old boy and a 15 mo. little girl. I will have them only 2 days a week but it will be from 6:30am - 7:30pm. I would rather have the full time all week I would make more money but some is better then none at all. Tonight is my company christmas party at a bowling alley. He wanted to do something fun and not one of us can bowl so it should be fun. I am going by myself. My mom is going to watch megan for me and I will ride up with my dad. He bowls on a league up there and has to be there for the same amount of time that I will be there. So it works out well for me. I will have company up and back. Well I have to get going and get some work done before I take megan to school today. Have a great day everyone. Make good choices. When we focus on us and not the weight and food you automatically make healthy choices and you are not hungry. So change your focus of thinking. Get the mind set and you will be fine. Sherri :wave: |
SOOOO EMBARRASSED
Good Evening Ladies
Hope everyone is doing ok. Is cold here. Was in the single digits this morn. Suppose to get a inch or two of snow tonight. What little we did have is gone. Well went to weigh in last night.Was not a pretty sight. I gained 6 1/2 lbs. Yes that is right gained 6 1/2 lbs. I dont have anyone to blame but myself. I put the food in my mouth. I just wish that someone else hadnt furnished it. Oh well. Maybe I can get some of it off by next week. I hope. But Fri night we are decorating at church and afterwards we are eating. And then on Sat we are going shopping for the family the ladies group adopted. And after we shop we are going out to eat and have our gift exchange. I do know that I wont get the buffet. I will just order a meal. That will help there. Hope everyone has good weigh ins this week. Am thinking of everyone. Take care and try and stay warm. A TOPS PAL |
