Good Morning, Just a note to let you know I am still around. Not much going on my way. I have added a streching program to my exercising. I went on internet and found a bunch and make copies and now I do them every morning. Only takes about 10 minutes. Other than that nothing new. Hope everyone is doing ok. The scale is up and down all week so I will just have to wait til weigh in tomorrow. later:) :wave:

Morning Eleni-I have my 2nd weigh in tonight. I hope I lose something. My husband and I are going away this weekend (all expenses paid) and I hope I can be good at the restaurants...sigh. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

I told my hubby if he could lose 70 That i would by him a kyack(sP) for christmas. He said really. I'm copying some off to put around the house.
Brandon is doing well. Dad still in the hospital. trying to get stuff straighten out with him.
I hope all you ladies are doing well. hang in there we can do it.

Crazy4carbs, I hope you have a good time while away. Remember to plan what you will eat, as much as you can, and that will help. That all expense paid is sure a incentive to have the best...but remember, a good fish is better for you than a big steak. Where are you going? Let us know how you do. Remember, If you fail to plan you plan to fail. I used to tell my Sunday school teachers when I was a SS superintendent. I know, for me, with dieting, the days i plan my meals I do so much better, and can stay on plan, but the days I just go with the flow, the flow flows in too many calories. It is really hard to plan specifically when you are going away, but you can make general plans, try to stick to them, and if you DO blow it, remember, it is only one day, and this change in eating if for a lifetime, so start over the next day. You can do it!!! Good luck! And have fun!!:) Eleni, good morning. My scale is acting funny on me, too. Yesterday it was the lowest it has been in probably 20 years. then this morning, after a good day yesterday, it was up three pounds! Uuuuuuuggghhhhhhhh!!! Oh well, I know I ate well, so I will just keep on doing what I should be doing, and it will eventually go down. I went to water aerobics today. I try to go 3x a week now, but this week I didn't make it on Monday. So I am going to go Thursday. There is no class then, but the instructor said if I come at 8:30 i could use the pool for walking. 58.5 times across the pool in the shallow end (4') equals one mile. So i am going to go try that. Thanks for your note. I will write back soon.

Hi COCo, hope you are well this week.
My friend Kathy, who turned me on to this link, just emailed me yesterday and told me she has now lost 72 pounds! She joined TOPs last spring after visiting me and going to a TOPS meeting with me. She lives 8 hours away, so I hadn't seen her in a long time, but saw her in March, and she looks terrific! She is an inspiration to me. But it is this site, and all of you with your encouragement that has me finally really trying. Thanks.

Hi Ladies
I thought I better get on here before I ate everything in sight. I am not really hungry but just want to pick. I posted my menu on the menu thread. I was wondering. Has anyone ever did this. If they got the munchies have they got the lollipops out and used those as something to keep them from eating something else. I did that the other day. My son had a couple of Juicey Juice lollipops. And I ate one of them. It seemed to help. But I thought I might try and get some tootsie roll lollipops. That way they may not be as high calorie. Does anyone have any ideas on this.

Mouch Know what you mean about this site. It has been a lifesaver for me. I dont think I would be doing all that well if it wasnt for the ladies her. You are all teriffic. I know I use to just lurk. Boy am I glad that I took the plunge and started posting.

Shortstack. You will have to let us know how SRD was. I am sure you will have a good time. I would have liked to have went to ours. But didnt get to go. I am hoping to go next year. I have gotten to go one time. It was kinda fun. I liked the Baggy clothes parade and the Circle of light. How's Brandon feeling. I hope he is better. Hows the pup.

Crazy4carbs Like Mouch said Just plan some for you eating. I always try and for the salads, bake potatoe's not butter see if they have salsa, the grilled chicken or fish. You will do fine. That is great you got an all expense paid trip. I am sure you will have a good time. Good luck with weigh in.

Sherri How are you doin. We got a storm here last night. Some nasty lightning. Dont like that at all. Are you back on track. Sounds as if you are. I am doing so so today. Am trying really hard.

I did exercise this morn. Rode the exercise bike for 25 min. and 12seconds and went 7 miles. I will try and increase that some everyday. I have to build myself up again. I haven't really got to ride or walk for a couple of weeks. And I can tell a difference. I have been doing some floor exercises. Been doing them for 20 minutes a day. That way I can count that for my mile. Well I better get off here. You ladies are probably bored with all this. But I just needed to do something so I didn't eat. And this did help. Now I am going to go pick up my cross stitch. Let me know what you think about the lollipops. Thanks

I love that name. That should be my name I love them so much. That is great that you are bringing your own butter with you. All you can do is do your best and try to make good choices while you are away. I know how hard it is. I gained while I was away and I didn't want to do that. But hopefully I am going in the right direction now. We will see. I will have a gain this week for sure though. I hope you have a great time. All expenses paid is the best way to go girl. You go and enjoy every min. You can always start over again when you get back. I am sure you will. Have a great time and we are all dying to know where you are going to.

That is great that you are doing stretching. I was told that you can lose inches just stretching. I don't know if it is true or not but you will soon find out. Keep up the great work.

It was great talking to you last night. I am glad I surprised you. I didn't do good yesterday but I did walk twice 1 1/2 miles each time. So that was good. I hope things settle down with your dad. I will keep your family in my prayers.

That is great about your friend. It is like she lost almost a whole person. I wish I could get my act together long enough to do that. Someday hopefully. I am glad you joined us as well. That is great about the aqua aerobics. I took a class for that before a long time ago. I really liked it. How do you like it? Have fun walking the pool. Keep up the great work girl. You will be at goal someday to.

You are doing great. I never thought of the lollipop. All I can think of is that the sugar in them might make you hungry all over again. Usually sugar makes us hungry. But if it worked and especially if you have to have choc. the tootsie roll ones are a lot less calories I am sure then having the real choc. You are in the right direction. Congratulations on the exercise. How do you like the new bike. A lot better on the joints don't you think? Keep up the great work.

I didn't do good yesterday. I ended up gaining back the 3 lbs I lost since sunday it is so frustrating. But I have been exercising a lot. I guess I am just waiting for the weigh in tomorrow night so I can get it over with and start from there.
I did join Curves for Woman today. My friend wanted me to join with her. You get a 30 min workout. It was great. You are only on each station for 30 sec at a time. So you don't have time to get bored with what you are doing when you have to change again. It is very upbeat and you keep track of your heartrate. They want you to be in the 70% zone while working out. They set a goal for me for the first month. I am signed up for a year now. I am to lose a total of 14 inches overall in 4 weeks. They set small goals then I guess they do that each month. You have to be committed to at least 3 days a week. I am going to be doing that plus the walking here and the strength training. So I will be getting in a lot of exercise which is great for me. I hope I can lose some of this fat. They did a body fat test also. So I can watch the numbers come down hopefully.
