Tuesday - April 2
Good Morning Ladies,
If I don't post now, I'll never get a chance later in the day. Luckily the girls are doing OK for the past few days, but other things have fallen apart and the phone has not stopped ringing. Good thing everything doesn't happen at the same time. Wendy, I'm glad you had your candy and it is over with. I know resisting it is 'easier said than done' when it is calling your name. Keep gazelling and you'll work it off OK. Coco, good attitude with 'not giving up'. Keep walking. It is proven that it is one of the best all around exercises that people can do. I love walking....wish I could do it everyday! Maryann, keep up the journaling, you know it helps. Glad you had a nice installation. Did you survive those two 9 yr olds???!!! Eleni, YEAH, I am so PROUD of you for not having any candy. I know how hard that is for you.....and me. I hope you get that loss Thursday. Again, you go girl!!!! [now, if only your sis could be as good!] Penny, Thanks for inquiring about me. This sure is a great board....I just wish there were more hours in the day. Sounds like you are doing well...keep up the enthusiasm!!! Sherri, I am so PROUD of you for sticking with your plan and finding something that jump started you again. All those raw veggies are full of bulk so that helps with the full feeling. I need to do that!!! We have such 'crummy' looking fresh veggies.....and only 1 grocery store. Sounds like you will have that loss. Keep up that wonderful determination!!! Me, oh me!!!! The scale has not budged downward at all and I am afraid it might be up a little. Seems like the weight is now 'stuck on'. I did not buy any 'easter' candy...so not a problem there, but there has been other things.....and I am NOT proud of it. If I have a turtle, I should be happy. On the positive side, I walked 7.25 miles in 2 days!!!! Friday, I did 3 miles by myself in an hour. It was soooooo beautiful!!! Saturday I went with a fellow TOPS member and did 4.25 mi. Unfortunately, I must have had too thick of socks on and too much pressure was on the inside balls of my feet and got a blister between 2 toes! OUCH!!! Had DH get the ice pack out of the freezer and really cooled the feet down. The weather was again so beautiful Sunday, but I was afraid to go out. Hated to cancel....but didn't want to start hurting too far from home. HOWEVER, I did do Richard that day and it really felt good. Yesterday, no activity......other than moving my mouth at the phone piece. Now, if only I could control the types of food going in.....along with portion sizes. Oh, the water is going better though. To everyone else not personally addressed, you know I'm thinkin' of ya!!!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!! The Pom-Pom's are out and a'shakin!!!! LET'S GO GIRLS!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!! Good Morning everyone,
I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so here I am at the computer. I haven't been feeling too good lately. My lower back and hips have been aching so bad. The Dr. gave me some meds for it, but it doesn't seem to be helping. She took some x-rays and a bone density test and hopefully she'll know for sure what the problem is when I go back. Eleni, congratulations on not eating the candy for easter. It'll be worth the sacrifice when you weigh in Thursday. I didn't eat any candy either, but I didn't even have any in the house, so I wasn't tempted. Coco, I knew that people gained a little when they first started exercising, (muscle weighs more than fat) but I didn't realize that it was as much as Dr. Greene reported. I've walked for years, so I think that the benefits are more important than a small gain. And I think that it will help you lose weight after the initial gain. So keep up the walking, its also good for your heart. I walk 2 miles a day, 5 times a week. Mary Ann,, Congratulations on the good loss that you had at weigh in. Just think, more than 4 lbs. gone forever! I didn't know what a gazelle was either, I don't even know who Tony Little is. But I saw a picture of one in the paper Sunday and it looks like you get the benefits of walking and working out your arms. Summer, Good job on the exercise. Summer hang in there . Things will get better.
Nita I also have a problem with my lower back and hips hurting at night and waking up. But. I have a pillow wedge that I keep next to bed. As soon as I turn over on side (which is hard to do with the pain)and put pillow between knees the pain goes away. It is usually almost instant relief. Your pain may be all the time but it won't hurt to try some night. Hope you feel better i go see doc today to see if the tyroid medicine is working. Oops gotta go. Time to leave for work. Sounds as if we are all doing great, with a couple of speed bumps in the road, but nothing we can't get over.
Sherri-I am so proud of you. You are doing great. Keep it up girl, and you will make kops. Eleni-way to goal girl, staying away from that candy, and getting back on track. You can make it too. Nita-Hope everything works out for you and the hips. I know how you feel. Summer- all that walking will pay off and you will have a lost. Mary ann-Eleni was right. It's the thing you see on tv. Go under tony little, or gazelle and you can see what it looks like. low impact. I'm starting to enjoy it. Summer you can get through this. I know how you feel. It seems lately that the scale doesn't want to budge. Making some changes and writting them down. gotta go be back later. I'm back. Ok, glad everyone seems to be doing pretty good. I exercised this morning, and not doing to bad on the food. But could be doing a little better. Sherri the thing I wanted to change is that I'm not eating proteins at breakfast, or rather not enough. but I will get this down. I only lost 1/4 of a pound. I know a loss is better than a gain. However, I've been trying to figure out why the scale isn't going down. Just started back exercise regularly since I sold the treadmill, and 2 not eating enough protein So hopefully next week will be better. I also am noticing, I eating to many low fat chips, baked french fries too. So just a few minor adjustments I'll talk to all you ladies later hang on we can make this I know we can. Positive attitudes. |

Good Morning Ladies
Just checking in. You ladies are such an inspiration too me. I am so glad that I got on this board. I weigh in tonight. And I know that I wont have a loss. But I do know that I have followed program pretty well and have been excerising. We walked a total of 12 miles last week. Yesterday we walked 2 miles. That is my goal this week. To walk 2 miles everyday. Another goal is to make sure that I write down everything and keep track of my points. I am going to do this. I may not make it to KOPS this year. But I am going to do my best to get there soon. And with the help of you ladies I know that I can. I got a book yesterday at the Dollar store. It is by a lady that has been on Rosie O'Donnells show. She was with the Chub Club. Her name is Judy Molnar. Said it took 2 1/2 years. But she lost 130 lbs and 12 clothing sizes. I just started it. But I think it is going to be a interesting book. She has journal entries. And also some success stories. The name of the book is. You Don't Have to Be Thin to Win. It talks of her struggles and some sound like me. Cant wait to read more. But thought you ladies may want check out the book. I know it helps me to read success stories. I think they kinda motivate me. Well I better let you ladies go. I will check in later. The book sounds great. I am so glad that you are doing great. Just remember what you told me last week. You know you stayed on plan and you should be proud of that. The exercise you are doing is great. Keep up the great work. All that walking will bring your measurments down. Have you taken them yet? You should that way you can see progress even if the scale stays stuck. It will really motivate you to keep going. I am so glad you haven't given up. You will be fine tonight. Sometimes when you think you have gained you really lose. So hang in there and keep journaling your food and points. Wendy, What are you changing girl? Your plan was working great you were losing. Is it possible you have to just cut your serving sizes. Get back in the frame of mind and the rest will work itself out for you. I know you can do this. We are in this together. Go for the gold girl. How are your hands doing? And brandon? Keep the motion going on your gazelle and you will prevail. You are doing great. Eleni, I have to sleep with a body pillow between my legs also and it does help. I have hip problems also. They keep coming out of joint. It is really painful. Especially when I exercise because all the exercise I do is concentrated on the hip area. You keep up your walking and eating plan and you will have a loss this week. Are you still walking on the beach? Nita, I hope they find out soon what is wrong with you. I know the pain you are talking about and I just have to live with mine or stay in therapy the rest of my life and I can't afford it. I am hoping that once I lose weight my hips won't go out so often. We will see. You hang in there and do what you can. Stick with your eating plan and you will still lose weight even though you are not exercising. Mary Ann, Congratulations on your loss girl. 4 lbs that is awesome. Keep going and you will be heading to goal in no time. You are doing great. Keep up the great work. Whatever you are doing it is working. You are counting points right? What is your pt range for the day? Mine is 22-29 on the 123 plan. Summer, You are doing great as well. They say when you are getting back on track that you have to take it one step at a time. You have got the exercise down pat now. Now it is time to fit in the rest of it. All that exercise will pay off. That is a lot of walking girl. You are doing great. Did you have a nice easter? Keep moving forward and never give up and you will be fine. The weight is not there forever like you said. You will get it off. Like you said I am raising my water cup to you clink clink. Toast to you. Drink your water and that will help. As for me, I am still on plan. I don't mind this way of eating at all. I am truly not hungry. It is really working. The scale was the same this morning but it has to stay the same sometime I guess. It can't drop everyday. I really think that all those fresh veggies are doing the trick. I exercise for 30 min yesterday I will do it again here in a min.. Have a great day on plan everyone. Easter is over the lord has risen and now it is a new beginning for us all. Hi Ladies! I am off to the grocery store, and It looks like I am the only sleepy head to get out of the bed late.......lol But I will post when I get back. My scale is down a .50 pound from weigh in day yesterday so I am hoping to have a very productive losing week......lol And I wish everyone the BEST. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!! Penny :) :) Be Back Later

Just got back from doctor. The thyroid is greatly improved but she thinks it is still too high so she is increasing medicine some. She was pleased that I was 10# less than when she last saw me.
Only got my walk done today. maybe later after supper settles I will do something. Have been busy trying to organize the stuff that was passed on to me from leader. What a job. But have a good dent in it. Well need to go. Hope everyone had a good day. Remember--Tomorrow is a new day and if you did not do good today you can start over in the morning |
Hi Everyone! I hope you are all doing great today! I started a new plan today. The plan that Sherri is on so I hope it starts paying off. It is the best overall healthy lifestyle for me. Hey there,
Well I didn't do good today. I ate more carbs then I should have but I ate very few protein. So we will see what happens tomorrow on the scale. I will do very well tomorrow. I got caught off gaurd tonight. My parents invited us for dinner and she was having spaghetti. With white pasta. That is a no no anyway. I had 2 cups of that with the sauce but I made sure to have my large salad with that. But I am not upset by this. I know I have done great all week and I will get back on track tomorrow and get back to my peaches for lunch again. Tomorrow is gymnastics day but we will be coming home to eat lunch and not going out. We have not gone out for lunch now in 3 weeks. So that is a good thing. Hey I just read somewhere tonight that if you correct your posture you will look thinner and feel better about yourself. They say when you are so used to slumping it hurts to sit or stand the right way. They are right. It does hurt to sit up straight. So I know I have to really try to correct this. They say it hurts because your muscles are weak from allowing yourself to slump. So I have to get my muscles built back up again. I hope everyone is having a great night. Hey CC, How did your success speach go? I haven't heard. Also how are you doing? You have been MIA here this week and last. Is everything still going good for you? Are you still losing every week?
