Sunday
good morning
Nita- It was on a 100 mg floppy disk. It doesn't go to the recycle bin. Sorry your husband is having a hard time. I know how he feels as I had a triple by-pass almost 7 years ago. I thought they were nuts when they not only wanted me to sit up but sit in a chair by bed. I was told that sometime younger people have a harder time than older 70+ people. I know I could barely get around and the older people were whizzing by me when I did my mandatory walk of hallways. At least if he is still in intensive care they are watching him closely and he will get better care in there. I know it has to be hard on you. It is almost as hard on spouse as there isn't much you can do but be there. But that means a lot. Many days I did not want to talk to anyone but It meant alot to just have my hubby there. When I slept he took naps in chair. Just remember to take care of yourself. Hope everyone is having a good weekend |
Eleni,
Sorry for the mix up, but it wasn't my husband that had a triple by pass. It was my best friends husband. He is about 77 and they think that he had a small stroke from the surgery. As I posted the other day that I missed our open house because my friend wanted me to be with her while he had the surgery, I commented that he was still in intensive care 8 days after the surgery. My husband has cancer of the lymph gland and is undergoing chemo therapy which is what keeps me stressed out a lot. He has been having a lot of side effects. And I am concerned about my friends. But, I'm beginning to want to diet again and plan to be OP by tomorrow. Have a SUPER Sunday, everyone. Nita |
Eleni,
How are you doing on plan today? Any plans for the superbowl tonight? Are you going to watch it? Nita, With all the sickness you have all around you no wonder you are stressed worrying about everyone. That is usually what happens though. We are so busy worrying and taking care of others that we forget about ourselves. That is great that you are starting to take care of you. You deserve that. I am sure you will do great getting back on plan tomorrow. Good luck with that and let us know how the day goes for you. I tried the buckwheat pancake mix this morning. My husband made them for me. They are GROSS ladies. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I gave them to the dog and dumped the rest of the mix. I even put the SF syrup on them. But the taste of the pancakes was so gross. SO I had an egg, with 2 pc of canadian bacon and toast on wheat bread. So I am doing great on plan and the scale is coming down everyday so that is a good thing. But I still can't count on the scales you know. I am going to have just my popcorn for my snack tonight while watching the game. We don't watch football but we like to watch the superbowl. Still don't know both teams that are playing. I do know that one of the teams is the Rams.LOL Tells you how much sports we watch here in this house. Everyone going to a superbowl party tonight beware and remember to eat sensible. You have a goal to reach. Sherri |
Just checking in!!
Hi Everybody
Just wanted to say Hi. Hope everyone is having a good day. Just finished lunch. Had fish, butter beans and salad. Son wasn't to happy with lunch. Called my Mom to see what she was having. Wants to go there. Sherri The other team in the super bowl is the New England Patriots. I don't know much about football either. Usually dont watch it. Wont be able to watch the game. Dont get the channel. I like to watch NASCAR. Sounds as if everyone has been making good choices this week. Wont the weight recorders be suprised when everyone has a loss. So lets keep the forks down and the sweat a comin. HAHA!! I have another really dumb question. What does OP mean. I dont know to much about this computer language. Sometimes I have to read the message a couple of times to get the idea what everyone is talking about. SORRY!! Well better get off here. Need to do the dishes. YIPPEEE!! Hope everyone has a good day. A TOPS PAL |
Hey CoCo, love the forks down and sweat comin'!

Need Advice!!
Hi Girls
Sorry to post again. But I am having a little problem. And this may be hard to explain. But here goes. For the last 2 days I just feel like I want something to eat but don't know what. Like right now. Thats another reason why I am on here. Hasn't been that long ago that we ate. And I fill full. But yet there is something that I want. Like there is just a little empty space. Hubby is having the same filling. Like last night. I fixed hot cocoa. That helped some. But I am trying not to eat anything after 6:00. I did accomplish that for the last 2 weeks now. If I feel hungry been having the hot cocoa or tea. But yet that just doesn't quite get it. Been also trying to keep my hands busy. Been cross stitching. Do the stamped. Got a couple of people I am making them something. But yet it is there nagging at me. Go into the kitchen and get something to eat. I have blown it today with the salt though. I have been picking on pickled califlower. Thinking that would help. I have also used raddishes. But it hasn't really. So if anyone has any ideas. Please let me know. I was wondering if I am going through withdrawal from not eating as much sugar. Maybe I need a sugar fix:lol: Again sorry to post again. But I really do need some advice on this. Thanks A TOPS PAL |
Coco
try some grapes or apple slices, it helps me alot, cause my body craves the sugar too... or some triscuits with salsa works too.
Hope this helps :D Nita- Know I am praying for you girl, and I agree with Sherri, taking care of you will be a good thing ;) Eleni- sorry about your cd getting erased, I know how rough that can be myself as my 2 girls have done it for me before:p Sherri- GREAT JOB BEING OP ( ON PLAN) yesterday!!!!!! CC- you go on that exercise girl!!!! Summer- Loving that attitude girlfriend!!! Well guys I am out of her to post my menus and maybe some SB recipes...... Hope you all had a great weekend!!! |
Thanks!!
Hi Christian
Thanks for the reply. Will give the apples and grapes a try. Need to go to the store and get some first. Also may try the triscuts. Do you use the low sodium ones? For the salsa any certain kind? Or do I just need to make sure it has less than 3 grams sugar per serving? Thanks A TOPS PAL |
Coco
yeah low sodium are great and I dont think salsa has added sugars, but do check the back and be sure, I use taco bells brand it has no added sugars, the sugar it refers to on the back comes naturally from the tomatos, and that kind is fine :D
