Hi All
Summer, I think you are right about all the stress eating. I read an article on dietwatch that tied stress eating to the tragedy of Sept 11. They gave a list of 20 things to do when you wanted to eat. If you wish to have food they said that you can have it, but only after doing 3 things on the list. The list consisted of things like trying on old clothes-- those too small as well as too large, gardening, exercising, household chores, mowing the lawn, reading a book, soaking in a hot bath. I figured that by the time I did three of those things, it would be dinner time anyway. I, too, have been having trouble sleeping. Sometimes I go to bed at midnight and wake up at 4:30 am and just can't go back to sleep.I believe that is why I'm always tired. I was having this problem before Sept. 11, so it isn't tied to that. I think I'll try some Tynol PM. A friend said that helps her. Sherri... You are doing great. The dietician had some good advice about getting your 5 fruits and vegetables daily. Most veggies are free and we can fill up on them. I stayed on my plan again yesterday, except I didn't get my exercise. According to my scale, I have lost a pound of the vacation gain. Still have 14 to go before Christmas. Will work on it again today. To everyone else....Hello and hope you are doing great today. Nita |
Nita Just wanted to tell you I use tylonol PM and it does help. Sometimes it leaves me a little groggy and sometimes not.. But it beats no sleep. It affects people differently. It certainly shouldn't hurt to try it. I do not use it every night.
I find it interesting that once again many of us have things in common. Not sleeping well seems to affect several of us. |
