I'm back for a few minutes...

Marti -I'd love to see photos of Jhanai when you get them. I always loved shopping for party/formal dresses with my girls. Ironically, the best so far was Mary's wedding dress. Very emotional!

Julie - yep, we're a chatty bunch! I'm so glad you're feeling better about Christmas this year.

Sue - yes, you may come live with me, lol. But I warn you, there will be snow involved whereas in Vegas, you'll have none. tee hee

Cristi - aww, you're such a sweetie to do all that for the troops, and especially the ones in the hospital. I think it would be hard to find a card just right for them. I send cards to a young man in prison, and it's hard to find the right kind for him, too.

Sassy - glad your back is a little better. Woo hoo for the gc to the steakhouse. I feel the same way you do about the comments Oprah made about heavy guys on that show. It was uncalled for, and yes, sometimes I do think she's forgotten how big she used to be. Btw, you're being too hard on yourself, Sassy. You are not a failure! You're a hard worker, and a good person, and if your house isn't exactly perfect, so what? If you want to feel less overwhelmed, make a list of what you want done, then cross off all the things that don't really matter. Take a deep breath and remind yourself what all you HAVE accomplished, ok?

I'll be in Evansville with Mary tomorrow while she sees the specialist. My stomach hurts at what news she may get from him.

Anyway, take care, and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow night or Thursday.

Evening ladies... I went for a walk in that cold weather today. Everything was warm on me except my face. Brrrr. Only did half of my usual, but at least I did that. Baby went with me on the first lap and then she came in and slept like a log. Funny dog!

Did nothing else productive today. Well, cooked and cleaned up the kitchen, but that is a daily routine, right? I had to call and change addresses on lots of mailings, mags and such. Quite a hassle really, but has to be done.

Jane- Lots of good vibes sent your way for Mary tomorrow. I also hope the lawyer visit wasn't too hard for her to get through. Hmmm, if I can either have snickerdoodles and snow or no snickerdoodles I am afraid I will have to suffer with none. I DO NOT like snow. So you can give your spare room to someone who won't whine about that darn white stuff. haha

Sassy- I also thought Oprah went a tad too far. At first the remark the Dr. made was funny..even though I had heard it on the commercial and from Jane. But Oprah just kept going. Wow! what a nice gift card. Now that was worth doing the survey! Glad your back is some better...now my Mom's back is out and I am taking her to the Dr. in the morning. She can hardly get up.

Cristina-
I am making that bark, so will let you know how it goes. It sounds good and I know my "grands" would like it. They showed putting a few pieces in a candy baggy and tying with a ribbon. Real cute. The sun was out here and after I tried to walk..got 1/2 in, DH said it was 22 degrees.

Jules- Good for you getting the tree and feeling better about the holidays. I am afraid I have been a "bah humbugger" for a few years now.

Happy hump day tomorrow gals...I shall be running Mom around to the Dr. and to take Baby in for a haircut. If there is time we will get our hair done too. (not at the same place) LOL.

Hi Ladies...Today my baby turned 18 so we all went with her and she got her first tattoo, and then we went out for dinner at Red Robin. On Thursday, I have an appointment with the doctor that did my hysterectomy last year. Starting at the beginning of this year, I would have pain every now and then where my right ovary is, the only thing she left in. This summer it has gotten very painful a few times, but has gone away until yesterday. I was in so much pain yesterday that a couple of times I even doubled over and just moaned. She has also ordered an ultra sound, and I'm dreading that for sure! I've been putting this off, because if I have to have my other ovary removed, I will then have to be on hormone pills, and that's something that I don't want. We shall see what shows up on the test and what she has to say, but I'm a little nervous about it. I have really put this off for awhile now, but my daughter got very upset with me yesterday, because she said what if I might have ovary cancer, or something else, and she started crying, so I immediately got on the phone for an appointment.

Wink Awwwww feeling much better!

Hi Ladies, me again.

I feel much better, thanks for all the kind comments.

I attempted to start the cookies but got too frustrated and had to stop. Hub came in and made me laugh and feel better. I also took a nice hot shower too and that helped a bunch. I did get the kitchen all cleaned up though! Well except for the floor, but why clean it when I'm going to be baking? lol.

So I think this is going to be my strategy: Do 1 thing at a time and not try to do it all at once! lol. I think us women try to do it all at one time and we expect WAY too much of ourselves! I mean it is always good to aim high, but when you aim WAY too high, then its time to take a step back and take a deep breath, as Jane said.

So if I don't get it all accomplished, then so what? R the "dirty house" police going to come and take me away? Hmmmmm......maybe that would be nice! lmaooooooo. J/K!

I also thought about the exercise thing. Why do I have to exercise like "the rest of the world"? As long as I'm moving its better than doing nothing, right? So I figure for now I could do some exercises sitting down, just until my back feels better and do some stretches to maybe help my back.

Anyways I'm not giving up, not without a good fight at least. As that one country song says, "You can keep good WOman down!" lol.

So thanks ladies, you all are WONDERFUL!

Yes I do think Oprah went WAY too far with the comments, the comment Dr. Oz said was cute and funny, but Oprah went WAY overboard. She needs to remember that she at one time was a "BIG GIRL" too and to not be so disrepectful of others who are still struggling.

When I lost some weight in HS and I felt really good about myself, I still had friends who were heavier than me and I never once made any rude comments to them! I know how that feels so why would I say it to someone else? I think this world concentrates WAY too much on "looks" and the outside of people and forgets about the "inside".

Okay stepping off my

Sue -- I hope your mom's back feels better, I certainly can sympathize!

Michelle -- Glad you had a good time with your daughter and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that all goes well with your ovary! Your daughter is right though, it should be checked out, just to be safe and I'm very glad your getting it checked out. We are all here for you!!!

Okay everybody, I hope you enjoy your Wednesday today. One more night off and then its back to the "ole grind" for me......But at least only 4 days and then we're off at least an entire week, if not possibly more! (haven't heard yet about the 16th & 17th)

Have a Great Day!
