I exercised for 70 minutes tonight. All sweaty and eating and apple and talking to you guys. :) Just read a posting about ordering pizza and now I'm thinking PIZZA :dizzy: I'll keep eating the apple. I did choke down two glasses of water tonight. You guys motivated me to do healthy things I haven't done in a long time.
Loveandlaugh - A date? I can't remember the last time my husband and I went out. Have an awesome time and let us know which movie.:) Nikaia - I hate 1200 calories too. Eat a lot of pre-packaged meals like lean cuisine, 100cal pack snacks, etc. Otherwise I overeat. |

Frustrating evening at work as usual its nice to unwind with you guys!
High stress J-O-B to say the least... cancer unit at a hospital.:( Even when I work 3-11 you'd think I could exercise during the day but its like I'm on melt down mode or something preparing myself for the next shift. I have to force myself to do the least things like get groceries, house work, anything out of the ordinary such as exercise. Seldom have a decent shift. Right now I am on an 8 day stretch of 7-3 and 3-11's. Oh well so I look forward to "talking" to you guys... So I managed to stay with in my calories today. I hope to be 150 by Feb for our anniversary vacation...Enough about me... Mariniform-family issues can be tough especially with your parents. But I do give you credit, WOW 4.5 mph for 3 ml. I can only do 3.5 mph on a good day thats great! I am excited about the Secret Santa thing though cant wait to see who I am matched up with. Ann-1200 calories doest hardly seem enough, are you losing or maintaining on that? stopeating- Wow that 70 min of excersize is great! hope you didnt succumb to the pizza and ruin it...maybe keep some low cal pizza on hand for those moments:^: ennay - congrats on a great day of staying with in your limits. I am sure that once you start running around with the terrible 2's you will definitely get back to where you want to be....:carrot: My grandaughters terrible 2's actually started when shee was 10 months she is now 16months and still going strong. I need to get these awful things out of my room...they're sitting on my bed right now since I had breakfast up here while working on homework. Gods, I indulge in such bad habits! Well, but I've choked down a glass of water just now, so I'm going to call it a night - and a not very on-plan day - and just go to bed. Sunrise is new. I'll try again then.

i have to read back through the posts you guys have been busy yesterday. yesterday wasnt so great could have been better im kind of irritated because i cannot seem to fit exercise in i wake up at 6am for work and i never have enough time and i get off between 6-8pm do anyone have any suggestions i know working out is one of my major problems i feel so much better when i do. Well getting ready for work you guys are doing great

I was AWFUL yesterday!! I had an early breakfast and then didnt get lunch till almost 1, by the time that rolled around I was so hungry I just couldnt stop eating, and it carried on through the rest of the day. NOT GOOD!! See how important that planning is! I've got to remember a snack between classes on those long days. I think thats my new mantra....failing to plan is planning to fail. Sorry I've been so neglectful and not doing personals the past few days. I promise I'm gonna catch up with everyone just as soon as time allows. gonna be a busy few days for me with classes...I've got 2 exams on friday and a big paper due on Monday. then next week starts our elf shelf store at my daughters school, PTA runs it so you know what that means. That is fine. haha I know the feeling. Okay so I will come back and do personals in a few minutes but this is what is up with me. I was feeling a bit soory for myself going to the dentist yesterday so I decided to make it my out to eat day! :lol:dh ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and fries and i am proud that I only picked like 3 off his plate! I ordered the carne asada soft taco plate with rice and beans. It also gives like half an avocado! and a big old glob of sour cream! I know avocado is healthy for ya but you still need to be careful. So I gave half the avocado to dh for his burger and put one sliver on one taco, then 3 on the other. The beans did have cheese and a few chips on it but I enjoyed it. The rice was normal rest. fare, not too bad. I stuck a tiny bit of sour cream on both tacos and then took the rest of the big glob and stuck it on a napkin and squeezed it! I know. GRoss!! But it worked. I did NOT go after it! hahaha I wound up eating the taco that had one sliver of avocado and a tiny bit of sour cream on it. (I think it was like a tea spoon but put a tbs of light sourcream into fit day to balance it out cause the regular sourcream only had cals for 1 cup!) I was full after all that. Since my will power was strong, I decided to give the taco to one of the kids when I got home! And I actually did! I am so proud of myself! Well I also had: 1 apple 1 orange 32 oz of coffee with 5 tbs creamer 1 serving of cashews 1 huge bagel with 1 tbs cream cheese 2 servings of ramen noodles = 2200 Everything was going fine and I actually got in a ton of walking! 2 hours and 10 minutes! But then I had to go to the dentist! Aarrgghhhh!!! 5 drills and fills! 1 crown that needed to be put on. And 4 extractions!!! No I have never done drugs, yes I do brush my teeth! The problem was I had not visited a dentist since I was a child. My mom had so much trouble with her teeth when i was growing up that I was actually scared to go and when I was a teenager and my bestfriend told me that a root canal was WORSE than giving birth, I tried to swear off dentist forever! I remember when i first started having trouble too. :( It was a few years ago and I was pg and I could not take any cold medicine. :( SO I wound up having a ton of cough drops! I would even take them when I went to sleep! :( BAD THING TO DO!!! That stuff is worse than candy! Anyhow I started having some trouble and should of gone to the dentist immediately but I didn't. :( So it has all caught up to me now these past few months. :( Since I have been getting healthy I have really kicked my butt about it and told myself I HAVE to do this! So I have been dragging it out a bit but I am doing it. :) Anyhow the medicine kept wearing off! they did it like 3 times! But I think it was probably just too long frm start to finish. :( I got there at 4:53 and I think they called me in at 5:15 or so and we didn't leave til 5 til 8!!!!! They got the drills and fills done and the crown done and the deep cleaning and the polishing and the extractions were the last. At least the ones that need to come out are all in the back so no one can see them! I am going to have to get a replacement or something next year. Anyhow. I could feel them yanking them out! It was terrible! I started screaming! He doped it up more, but I could STILL feel it! They got two out and one of those damn things broke off! So they had to go in and cut! It was terrible. I even started crying and telling them to leave me alone! I felt like such a big baby! Thank God Joey was there for the end with the extractions. They still had 2 more to do! so as much as I wanted to get it over with I knew I couldn't. I was very close to throwing up and had already started having a panic attack. Joe just wanted to get me out of there! :( I thought about it and decided that if we come back that is all they have to do so they will be able to do it soon after they num me for the first time so that should make a big difference! So they wanted to schedule me for next week. **** no! Joey told them a few weeks! Then they mentioned December 19! That is my birthday! NO! Anyhow we decided on the 26th. Yeah I know, day after x~mas. *sigh* So I was not in the best of moods when I came home last nite. :( I was still full from earlier but wanted some comfort food, something warm like soup and all we had was one packet of ramen left! I haven't had that in ages. I figured, sure, why not. Did you know that just one packet has 380 calories in it?!? Oh my gosh! Yes it does! Good lord! So that is how I wound up at 2200. I am not sorry. I needed it. I am hoping to have a great day today! I am going to have to get creative as I am trying to be careful with my mouth etc. On one hand I was thinking of quitting the bagels cold turkey today since we are all out of cream cheese and saving them in the freezer for a "rainy day". But they are very soft and warm and I could put peanut butter on them! :D I was also thinking of making blueberry muffins! mmmmm.....I don't know. We'll see what happens. I will try to see what i can add and still keep it under 1700 cals and not too bad on the fat grams. No cashews for me today. :( No meat either. Which is fine. Burritos sound good but no tortillas. Maybe I should get some! I checked the scale and it is still 213.5. That is good But I want to start losing again! I know what I need to do but with my dentist apt and all I just want to baby myself! :( |
Surprisingly enough after yesterdays free for all with the food I was down .4 on the scale today...go figure!!
Jasmine...dentist...blech! thats my one true fear in life, my childhood dentist scared me and I havent been to a dentist in years! I waited so long to go have my wisdom teeth pulled that I literally HAD to do it or I couldnt open my mouth...and that was a traumatic experience too! Oye!! I hope today is better for you! Oh I also wanted to ask everyone a question? This group is getting big and that is great! :carrot: I was thinking about what if every sunday we start a new thread for that week so that new people don't get intimidated by some huge thread?
I was also thinking what if we make a thread JUST for bios? That way when new people join it won't get lost in the other threads. How does that sound? :D |

Yesterday was great day eating and exercise wise. First one in the past 7 days. Hopefully this will get me back on track. Today will be another challenge, but I am determined to win. So I made a log of all the exercise I am going to be doing until December 31 and hung it up on my bathroom mirror. When I accomplish it I put a small smiley face sticker beside it. I know it may sound silly, but I think this will keep me motivated through the holidays. DH looked at it and said good idea. I think he wants one...hahaha. Jasmine: That is alot of walking...way to go! How far do you usually walk during that time period, or at what pace do you walk? A weekly thread sounds good. Hun.e.B: I love your mantra! I have to plan to or it is just downhill for me, it's like I eat because I don't know what to eat if that makes sense and then I just eat everything in site miafluker: What about your lunch break? Sometimes I meet up with a friend and we walk and then walk the stairwell in our building up 12 flights of stairs. I know this might sound outrageous, but why not get up at 5am and do a workout.
