Good Afternoon, Flowers! It has been a gloomy day in my corner of the world. It is a "warm" 60 degrees so I am not about to complain. We had heat at school this morning! :yikes: We all had windows open and about roasted until they turned the boilers off. It is feast or famine with the old relic. There was a big fight in the restricted ed. lab this morning. One HUGE kid kept bugging another smaller kid and finally jumped out of his chair, knocking over the table, and had the other kid in a head lock. The supervisor was still shaking at lunch -- after she called for help she tried to pull the big kid off. Thankfully the asst. principal came running to help. There are assault charges as well as a 3 day out of school suspension. I have the big kid in a study hall and he can't keep his mouth shut for 30 seconds and he drives me nuts. I wish there was someone bigger than he is to clean his clock and whip him into shape! I have card club tonight so need to decide what I am wearing to school tomorrow before I leave; have one load of laundry left to do and will get that going. Supper is in the oven . . . lasagna from "Mrs. Stouffer!"

"Gma" -- :lol3: Yep, we spent some time together last night . . . Bob fell asleep on the couch and I played solitaire on the computer. He farmed all afternoon and into the evening so he was tired. He loves to do it but gets so out of shape between the planting and harvesting. He says everything aches! I'm so glad you are having such a nice visit with your son and dil AND that yesterday went well with everyone together. It sounds like the game is a hoot!

Hope you all have a nice evening and a terrific Tuesday tomorrow.

Good morning ladies! Just a short post this morning to check in. The kids are leaving to go home this morning. It has been such a nice visit, but it will be nice to have the peace and quiet back too.

We went out to the movies yesterday afternoon to see "The Departed" and though the ending was crappy, the movie was really pretty good. We then went out for BBQ AGAIN to someplace different and I didn't like it at all. It was some hole in the wall Jay had heard of and we were willing to try. I had the BBQ spaghetti and it was soggy, greasy and nasty. I left most of my dinner, ate the vinegar cole slaw and the texas toast. Even the cheese and sausage plate, which is usually pretty nice in most places was nasty. They has skinny strips of FRIED BOLOGNA and it was deep fried to black chunks. ICK!

Jean: Have you guys gotten any snow so far this year? Jay said they had about an inch when they left town. Hey, I like just having Jack in the room, I don't care what he is doing at least I am not alone. When all this is over and Jack goes back to work, I am going to be all alone again and though it is ok, I do like it when Jack is in the same room as I am even if we are doing different things. I am anxious for him to get back to work though as he is so very bored.

I guess we solved the swelling issue and it WAS the niacin. He has been drinking water like mad and all the swelling seems to have gone down from everywhere, so that is good. They will just have to put him on another medication for his cholesterol if they want him on two. I don't want to go through this again!

Well, gals, hope you all have a great day. I am going to do some morning chores, strip the guest bedroom bed and get those sheets started before the kids get up and I fix them breakfast before they go.

Wow, Mrs. Stouffer gets around - we had her lasagna last night as well. Jean, I think teachers should be getting combat pay and sabbaticals. I don't know how anyone can want to go into the profession anymore with the stuff that is going on in the schools. We have a lot of private schools in our area for this very reason. Parents want discipline and the kids to learn.

Faye, I'm glad you found what was bothering Jack. Poor man has been through a lot lately.

Taking Stan to have the last of his staples and stitches removed today. Wouldn't you know its supposed to rain hard all day. Just what I need juggling a wheelchair in and out of the car and him.

Faye, www.bellsouth.com works but the .net one is down - probably server problems. Anything I can do to help?

Have a good day, ladies!
