Ok ladies I know I have been very bad with posting just short quick notes and I am sorry, I have just been so busy. I am gonna try to get in a few personals but if I miss you please know it was not on purpose.
First I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. I made it through the birthday, weekend and yesterdays October Birthday Lunch with only a 3 pound gain and I think that is mostly water weight because my hands are very swollen. I am gonna really start chuggin the water and hopefully it will be gone in no time. Cheryl – I totally understand how those daughters can be pains in the rump, mine is 14 going on 24 and sometimes I just want to choke her but other times she is still my little girl. Tammy – I can’t believe how far you have come 122:carrot: pounds gone is so great. I see you walk at the football field sometimes, I do too. I really like walking there because they usually have the music really pumping over those loud speakers and it gets me to really going. Kreen – I would love to race to the 210’s but now I gotta get this water weight off. Oh well I am gonna try really hard, maybe I can make it by the end of the month. I am sure you can. Stacy – I agree that if I didn’t have dogs and kids my house would be clean but then I think about it and well I would probably have to get rid of the husband too, LOL. I also agree with you and the store, man it feels like I am there every other day. Shawn – Get your rear in gear girl, you have done way to good to quit now. We are here for you and you CAN DO THIS. Emily – you can handle the week, I know you can. Let yourself splurge a little but don’t go over board. You will be ok. Tina – YOU LOOK GREAT!!! I love both dresses but would pick the one with short sleeves if you have a jacket for it. It is so cute. One more thing – Congrats to all of you losers, weigh to go. Well gotta get busy. Check back later. Love Ya’ll. |
wow what a great thread, im new to 3fatchicks, but i was just having a rumagge and found this great thread, what a nice support system you got going on....Its inspiring to see so many people who have lost so much weight... i have a long road to go too....
althoguh my start has been strong i can imagine the next 9 weeks till christmas are gonna be hard to shift this weight.... hopefully to look half as amazing as you lot do in your pics :-) im sure ill see you about :-) |
Thanks for the kudos everyone! And glad everyone is doing well.
Tina I like dress number 2 a lot more. Does it have a jacket or something to keep her warm?and you look great! Congrats! 60 lbs really makes a huge difference doesn't it? I am almost there.... Robbin! It's on, let's race and get to 210s by next week. I know you can! I I am trying hard, spent 2h30 at the Gym today since i don't have to work all day. Was just gonna lounge around the house, so I thought I best invest that time, shedding some pounds. Freethetoys. Welcome and good luck with your goals! You can totally do this! Have a great day everyone! |
Sorry to be such a downer ladies, just don't know if I should keep posting here and drag people down. It's very dark and gloomy here today, and I just cannot get this lonely empty feeling out of me. There have been other deaths I have experienced, but this was so suddent with no warning, and there's nothing like a mother. I just feel so down and I told my husband that I don't want the days to end and I don't feel like getting up in the morning, just sad all the time.
TINA...My favorite dress is the 2nd one, and your DD is beautiful!;) TAMMY...You are a true inspiration, and you have lost so much weight in just one year! |
tues
Hello all, today is looking better than yesterday. I didnt get any exercise in yesterday, but i got to the gym today, so i am much happier. :lifter: I just feel good the days that i get to the gym. Feeling good about my food intake today as well. Yesterday was not bad, but i want to really keep it low for a few days to repair the weekend damage. Not really low, but just the low end of my limit, yesterday was the high end of my limit. Now if i could just get back to drinking lots of water. Do you all find it hard to drink water on cold days. When i am sitting here cold, i just dont want some cold water...so i think i will make some hot tea.
Freethetoys- Hello and welcome. Glad you are here, support is SO important, especially, like you mentioned, with SO many naughty holidays right around the corner. My first challenge will be next Tuesday, when i have 2 little trick or treaters coming home with lots of candy. Robbin- Good job on only being up 3 pounds on a birthday weekend. :cp: Cheryl- Good job on the 2 pounds. :cb: Sorry FD is sick. Hope she gets well soon. Tina- Looks like the birthday was a huge success. :woo: The dresses are adorable. I love the detail on the skirt part of the first one. But i think overall, a white sweater with pearl accents would be beautiful with the second one. She is such a lovely little girl. You look awesome too BTW. Jelynn-Sounds like a very challenging week to say the least. :dust: Shyla- Glad to hear from you. :coach: Lets go gal. ok, time to go to the post office and dry cleaners, fun fun. Hope you all are having a good day and making the most of working towards your goal. |
Happy Tuesday
Hey ladies, I'm feeling like I'm struggling to get back on track. I guess it's motivation. I totally let myself eat just what I felt like and getting out of that mindset again is tough! I have been doing good so far today, no endulgences at all...that's great seeing that I still have cake around! LOL! I did my water aerobics this morning first time since that whole lock down incident...and it felt so good to be back at it.
Seems everyone (online and offline) favors the dress with the black skirt. It doesn't come with a coaty but I'll have to look for one. My mom thinks she's seen one just recently. I love both dresses and the only hook up I was having was the short sleeves, but I guess that can be solved. Thanks for the compliments girls! Shyla, holy! Getting the motivation back is tough isn't it!? Birthdays are screwy! I guess we take one step, one day at a time bettering ourselves with every effort. Eventually we'll be in the game full force again. Tammy, congrats on the weight loss! You're such an inspiration. What do I have to complain about getting back in it when you've blown all of us outta the water proving there are NO excuses! Cheryl, LOL! I am so amused by teenagers these days. When it's cold they don't dress for it, when it's hot they're wearing those huge hoody pullovers!! What's up with them. Congrats on the loss! You'll be back at ticker and then some before you know it! Robbin, thanks for the compliment. You did so well during your birthday. Better than I did during Alyssa's!! You'll be back to ticker in no time! :welcome: freethetoys! You've hit the nail on the head. This is a wonderful supportive group here. We've all got long roads here, some of us have travelled a little further than the other but the walk is still the same. You can do this! Kreen, thanks for the compliment also. You have done amazing too! Michelle, it's nice to see you posting again. Especially through this difficult time. It'll be a way to express yourself without actually having to speak literally. I'm sorry to hear of your moms passing...just remember you have a support group here when you need it. Stacy, seems a few of us have a little damage patrol to do from this past weekend. I get so frustrated everytime I do that. I have a good week, get cocky and spend the better part of the next week trying to get back to ticker! Sheesh! Hang in there girl! Have a awesome day ladies! TTFN! ~Tina |
TINA...I had been doing so good with my eating and exercising every day before my mom's death last week, and now I just cannot get into doing anything! Some days I don't want to even get out of bed let alone trying to stay on plan. Life can throw some very hard situations our way at times. You're still doing really good with your weight loss and it shows in your recent posted picture! Thank you for your kind understanding words, because I would like to be able to come and post, even if I'm very down, but I don't want to offend others.
|
Michelle...We are here for you to lean on during this very hard time in your life, that's what friends are for. My mother is still here, but I had a very hard time when my grandmother passed, we were very close and I lived with her for awhile. Just try to take each day as it comes. If you feel up to it, go out with your daughters or your husband. It will get easier with time and I sure you have wonderful memories of your mother to help you get through this difficult time.
:welcome3:Freethetoys...Look forward to getting to know you. You have come to a great thread with lots of support and motivation. Ladies, I'm going to finish the personals tomorrow. I have to get up early with my hubby, but the good news is this is my last couple of days of having to do that, my hubby starts graveyard next week for 6 months. I hate not having him home at night, but it will to nice to have him home early enough to plow the yard if we have a lot of snow this winter so the school bus can get in.:D I have done really well on my eating today, but still haven't gotten my butt in gear to exercise. Plan on walking the mall tomorrow morning before my appointments.:carrot: Have some great news to share with you, I have a new grandson that was born at 3:05 this afternoon. His name is Payton and he weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and was 19 inch long. I can't wait for my son to send me a picture of him, I won't get to see him till May/June when I go back out to Oregon. Hope you all have a good evening and I'll chat with you tomorrow. Cheryl |
:welcome2: FREETHETOYS...This group of ladies are so nice and supportive!;)
CHERYL...Congrats on being a new grandma! That is so neat and I know you will be so happy when you can see him, and I really like his name. Thank you so much for your kind words. I also lost my grandpa in March, and this has just been a bad year for me. Both of my grandmas that live in Iowa are both having surgery next month, and I pray everything pulls through good. Whatever happened to Linda, Erin & Lois? I haven't seen any of them for awhile now. |
Hey ladies:wave: Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Have been really out of swing and not wanting to be involved in much of anything lately, but i am starting to come out of it and am really feeling the pressure for my goal of under 200 by my 40th birthday, which is just 9 weeks and 2 days away. Really, i just don't see it happening now. I am back up to 241 but refuse to move my ticker just yet. I had actually been higher than that but since i am on my way down i don't want to move the ticker. I am trying to resolve myself to the fact that anything less than the 296 i was last year is a huge improvement and not get caught in the trap of not meeting a goal meaning complete failure. ANYWAY!! Enough of that!
Michelle06, so sorry to hear about your mom!! I can only imagine how difficult this is! Sounded like she was finally on the upswing and then to lose her I'm sure has been devestating. I wish i had some wonderful words of wisdom to throw out there but all i can say is i will pray for you and your family and time does heal. Tina - Girl you better get in gear!! I came back partly to get inspiration from you constant motivation and dedication! Actually, i completely understand what you are going through. once you get a taste of the easy life again it is so hard to put in the hard work this takes! WE CAN DO THIS!!! :carrot:  I haven't read far enough back to see the dresses ya'll have been talking about but i am sure you are gorgeous as always! Cheryl - congrats on the grandson! how fabulous is that! Well to all the other regulars and the new names i scrolled by, howdy and welcome and i will try to get caught up and be around a little more often;) Hope everyone has a great day and don't let the battle get you down! Hey did anyone see Oprah yesterday? Was talking about people having gastric bypass dropping weight really fast and then ending up addicted to something else like alcohol or sex. Thought it was pretty interesting and wondered what others were thinking. |
Good morning ladies, once again I am running behind times. I had to stop at the store and pick up a birthday card for my receptionist so I am running late. I just wanted to pop in and say hi. The scales are almost back to ticker weight reading 222 this morning which is pretty good considering TOM showed up yesterday.
Well better get to work, check back later. |
ERIN...I'm so happy to see you back and on track again!;) I had been gone awhile too, but it's good to be back and yes, this group is very supportive! Thank you so much for your kind words.

Happy Wednesday
Afternoon girlies! I've decided that in order to feel back in the swing I must sit down and plan my menus. I've been flying by the seat of my pants for days now and it's just not feeling good. Something always wants to draw me to say, "I'll start Monday..." because it's already close to the end of the week and weekends are screwed anyways. Now I must decifer, is that really true or another excuse...how badly do I want this?!! Pretty dang bad, to be in one-derland would be amazing. I just feel like kicking myself because I let go REALLY bad and the scales are reflecting it and I'm feeling defeated by that. I know I get it back down if I only put the effort back in. Just gotta find my motivation down in my socks somewhere. LOL!
Michelle, it's totally understandable that you're finding it difficult to get your "umph" back just having lost your mom. We understand that, what you should be doing is praising yourself for still having the desire to work on yourself. It will come back, one step at a time, just remember not give up on your hearts desire to be healthier. Do it in loving memory of your mom, I'm sure she would want you to stop doing what you've been doing. Cheryl, congratulations on your new little grand-bundle! 9lbs. 6oz. wow! Was this a natural delivery or section. Kudos to mom if it were natural. If you get a picture soon, be sure to share with us too! :) ERIN!! It's good to see you back! Don't worry about goals you've made a long time ago. You're right to revel in the fact that you've lost a lot even though it isn't as much as you wanted. I'm flattered you've come back to feed off of me, but I may have to nibble off of you a bit!! LOL! The dresses are for my daugther, Christmas dresses and I can't decide which one. Robbin, great news to hear you're getting back to ticker. At least some of us are having success. Time to kick the rest of us back in the game! Have a great day! TTFN! ~Tina |
Hey ladies, hope you all are having a good day towards your goals. I am doing pretty well. Made it to the gym. I already have my food for the day, even dinner, in fit day. So if i can just stick to what i have written down, i will come in at what i think is a perfect number of calories for the day. :crossed: I am even drinking water today. The only thing i am questioning is that there was a sample from the smoothie bar at the gym and it was slushy...it was so tempting i took one. I assumed since it is a gym, it would be a healthy smoothie. I should have asked what the cals were but no one was really at the bar. I must say it was REALLY good too. I just dont know how many cals it had...it was only about 2 good sips, so surely i didnt do any real damage. I told my son, i NEVER take their samples, it would be just my luck that today, it was probably a smoothie called, "get back all those cals you just lost smoothie".
Robbin- That is REALLY good news about the ticker considering TOM. Elem- Hey good to see you again girl. That is great that you are getting back on track. :carrot: Sounds like a good Oprah yesterday. I think i have addictive personality. Luckily right now, my addiction is weight loss. But i hate having an addictive personality...i am ALWAYS addicted to something and it seems that when there is nothing to be addicted to...i always go back to my comforting addiction with food. Sometimes it can be positive, like now with my addiction being weight loss, but it is like i am just waiting for another addiction to come along and take its place. I would rather my weight loss just be part of my life, just one aspect of it...not an obsessed all or nothing thing. Cheryl- Congrats on the new baby. :congrat: How exciting. Tina- Dont you hate it when you can feel the loss of momentum and motivation slipping? It is so annoying that it has to come from within...there is nothing you can buy, no advice you can get...nothing to get it back other than pulling yourself up by the bootstrap to get back with the program. At least you are still here, you're still working out, still eating well...but i know what you mean, when it just feels like you are doing things right but your heart just isnt in it. Just know that usually if i stick to it, the desire and movitation comes back. Besides, what the alternative? Watching that scale inch back up? YUK. So just keep on keep'n on girl. :cheer2: Watch Biggest Loser tonight....that always seems to snap back any wavering motivation for me. If i see them do it...i get inspired to get those results for me. Oh, is it just my house that has fairies? I believe there are cabinet and light fairies that must be invisible and float around my house. Because i go through the house and close all the cabinets and turn out all the ligts of the rooms we arent in. Then i go do some chores or something, come back only to find cabinets and lights are back open and on...but yet, no one admits to it. So i guess it must be the cabinet and light fairies. We have "dirty bedroom fairies" as well...they come in and mess up my dear 7 year old daughter, Olivias, room because we all know SHE wouldnt make that big of a mess. :lol3: Ok, a pile of dirty clothes are waiting on me. |
Hi Ladies...Just a quick pop in tonight. I've got a couple people bittting at the bit for me to get off the computer so they can use the phone. Had my weigh-in today and I'm down another 1.2 lbs.:woohoo:. Be back to ticker weight in no time.:D
Erin...Welcome back!! So glad to hear from you and your were missed! Tina...It was a natural birth and she was in labor start to finish for 5 hours. I only wish I was so lucky.LOL Michele...I'm keeping you and your grandmothers in my prayers. Stacy...Always amazing how no one knows how the lights, cabinets being left open or the clothes just happen to end up on the floor. We pretty much don't have that problem anymore. They get charged .25 cents everytime we find their light on in their bedroom/bathroom or when they leave a room. If I find clothes on the floor be it clean or dirty, they loose them for one week. Not long ago, I got a weeks worth of clothes that the FD left on her floor instead of putting away. She only had two outfits to wear for the week. Since then, she puts away as she does her wash. Robbin...Congrats on being almost back to your ticker weight. I'm right behind you. Cheryl |
TINA...I haven't been logging any foods in either and just eating here and there. I also haven't been getting in hardly any water again so I've really got to get back into things again before I start gaining back my weight again. You're still an inspiration to me, and you have come so far!
CHERYL...CONGRATULATIONS on losing 1.2 pounds, gone forever! You're really doing a good job!!!:carrot: I think that's a good idea to charge 25 cents and also take up clothes. I really guess they start opening their eyes real soon. Thank you for your prayers for both of my grandmas. ROBBIN...You'll be back down to your ticker in no time!!!;) Today when my DD got out of school, we had to go down to the funeral home to pick up my mom's death certificate and the memorial folders. It was so hard to look at any of them, but the folders did turn out so nice. Then on the way home we stopped by the cemetery, but we didn't stay for long, because my DD was having a hard time and said that she just cannot really see my mom there yet, it just doesn't seem possible. We keep thinking she will call us soon. Thank you for letting me talk through my troubled times right now, because it really does help me out. |
Just wanted to tell you ladies that you have given me alot of inspiration!!
|
Hey Michelle:hug: You keep right on talking!
I only have a minute to check in, but I was down to my ticker weight this morning, so YAY! :carrot: Had a nice dinner out last night, but no damage done. I split an entree with my friend that was soooo awesome. A parmesan crusted beef tenderloin (with some kind of brandy cream sauce- but just a little), carrots, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Seriously amazing. Tomorrow night is our 10th anniversary-- not sure what we're eating yet, but I'm feeling pretty in control. Had a good run on the treadmill even though I ended up out until 1:30 am and was 3:00 before I fell asleep. I'm so ready to crash now. have a great night all! |
Morning glories!! Well did my 20 min on the elliptical this morning, gruding it the whole time. But i got 3.3 miles and burned 269 calories, not a bad start to the day! Scale was down to 240 today so only two more pounds to get back to ticker!
Robbin - sounds like you have had a pretty good drop in the time i was gone, i am sure you will be back on ticker in no time! Michelle - thanks for the welcome back! The grieving process is so difficult and so different for everyone. You and your family are still in my prayers! Tina - Let's just support each other right now and we can get through this!!! WE are ALL human and have our weaker times, gonna get a little religious here but.... there is only one person we need to depend totally on and the others around us are only to comfort and boost us up along the way. I agree the dress with the red top and the black skirt is my favorite, your daughter is so cute! Did you find a jacket yet? Hope your menu planning is going well and we will get back on course! Getnhealthy - thanks for the greeting too! I am with you on the revolving addicitons! It would be wonderful to figure out how to have weight loss be a consequence of routine normal living not an obsessive behavior! If you figure that out let me know! I doubt the smoothie sample could do that much damage! I think i have some of the fairies you were talking about too! Cheryl - thanks its good to know you were missed! CONGRATS on the loss! WHOO HOOO! Lookingfor hope16 - Howdy girlie! join in any time! You never know when you can be the one to offer the inspiration to someone else. This group is an awesome support! I am in alabama too, do you mind me asking where you are close to? Jelynn - that dinner sounds incredible!! I have been seeing a lot of parmasean crusted stuff lately, yummy! Congrats on the anniversary! WELL girlies, gotta run, work to get done, children to get up and another day ahead! Hope ya'll have a fantastic day and will check in later! |
Hey girlies just another quick drop in for me right now. I do not know what is up with me here lately I can't seem to get in gear and am always running late.
The scales are still at 222 but I am ok with that for right now considering TOM is here. But by weekend they had better be back to ticker. I am wanting to be in the 2teen's by next wednesday. Welcome back Erin and Michelle we have missed both of you. |
LOOKINGFORHOPE...Thank you for the compliment, and feel free to just jump in and start chatting with us! All of the ladies are so nice here.
JELYNN...Thank you for your kind words. It helps me to talk things out sometimes. Your meal sounds so good! Have fun tomorrow on your 10th anniversary! ERIN...Great job with getting back into exercise! I really need to start back again too. Only two more pounds to ticker is great! ROBBIN...Thanks so much for the welcome back! It feels really good to be back again, because the support and just talking with people really does help me out. I'm sure your weight will be down in the 2teens very soon! |
Hey ladies, just popping in before I have to drive my DD to school. So far I'm feeling really positive today. I'm going to go to my water aerobics class and give it all I got! I had a light bulb moment all of a sudden this morning. The longer I stay off track the longer it'll take to get some nice results on the scale. I can't keep watching it creep up. Good news, it was down 1/2lb. this morning and that was without exercise yesterday. I better scoot, be back for personals later!
|
The scale was soooo nice to me this morning! 215.8!! Might not stick around, but at least I know my body is trying, lol. Seriously, this is a number that I haven't seen for 5-6 years. So YAY!
|
Go Emily Go Emily, YAY for your scales today!!!!
Lookingforhope - This group is so full of inspiration and support, I am sure you will feel right at home here. |
Afternoon ladies! Well today is turning out to be pretty good, I mean compared to the past few days I'm a dang angel! LOL! I worked out hard during aerobics and kept all impulses at bay. Went to McDonalds as my weekly "mom" outting and had a chicken fajita and fruit n' yogurt parfait. The only thing I could go be better at right now is water intake. I forgot my bottle at home this morning, so I trying to catch up two fold.
Stacy, I'm sure that little sample isn't going to destroy your totals for the day. I wouldn't worry about it. It's funny how we watch things so closely that one insy weensy slip up and we think...ahhhHHHHh that's it, that's show up on the scale tomorrow. Great work keeping up the gym outings. Thanks for the pep, seems like you speaking right out of my head...LOL! Cheryl, congrats on the loss! You go girl! Mind if I ride your coat tails get a little of that glory road taste?! Wow, your daughter-in-law was so lucky. Five hours start to finish? Amazing! Michelle, logging food and making sure you get enough water is so important. As hard as it seems right now to keep up with that, it helps keep you motivated and stay on project a little more easier than second guessing yourself. I have to ask who the people in your signature picture? Lookingforhope, glad you found some inspiration in our little group. Why not pull up a chair, would love to get to know you better! Emily, wooo HOo! Ticker weight! Good for you! Keep it going girl! Your dinner sounds amazing, and Happy Anniversary by the way! Erin, good girl! Great going on that elliptical...you know something I think I'm going to go down on mine and watch Rachel Ray instead of sitting to watch it. Thanks for inspiring me! I totally agree with you by the way about putting our troubles in ONE set of hands. Robbin, I totally think your next weeks goal is totally obtainable. You've done so well that two pounds in a week is nothing! I laugh as I say that because we all know 2lbs. the other way is disasterous! LOL Well, I best be going. If I want to fit in some exercise and do a little ironing before going out to dinner then I better get my rear in gear! Hope you have or are having a great day! TTFN! ~Tina |
TINA...I know I need to get back to logging my food again and drinking more water, and I will, I promise! The picture in my signature is my younger DD, my mom, and my grandma (my mom's mom) who is 92 years old. You did so great today!!! :woohoo:
Today was another sad day, because one of our very close friends who has helped us out so many times, lost her husband to a long horrible battle with cancer. I took a memorial folder to the assisted living home that my mom lived at and it was very hard seeing the dining room table right there where she always sat, and whenever we stopped by to see her, she was always smiling and waving to us. Everywhere I go in our town, it reminds me of her, because since she couldn't walk very well anymore, her freedom was her electric scooter and she went all over town with it. |
Emily...A very happy Anniversary to you and your Hubby. Hope you have a wonderful night out. Your dinner you had with your friend sounds sooooo yummy!
Michelle...I have been very bad the last couple of weeks of not writting down what I eat and it makes a big difference. I've been pretty good the last couple of days, and the scales are moving down. Robbin...Good job on maintaining...sending the fairy fat mother your way. Erin...Great job getting your workout in. I totally believe in prayer and ask for help to stay strong and not be tempted. To think, and ask myself how bad do I want to be fit and healthy. It's a challenge for all of us. Tina...How was the workout with Rachel Ray? Nothing like burning calories while watching her cook. Had a really good day today and I made good food choices and wrote it down and got some exercise in as well. This morning I got two sides of binding sewed on the baby quilt. It kept my hands busy and my mouth closed for a couple hours. This weekend we hope to get some yard work done if the weather holds off. I wanted to get the yard mowed one last time, but our big mower has a cracked block, so that won't be happen. Always next spring.:D Cheryl |
CHERYL...Great job with staying on plan! You're doing so good and really starting to lose those pounds forever! Do you write everything you eat down in a notebook like Tina, and keep track of just calories and fat grams, or more? I know I need to get back on track too, just haven't decided if I want to write everything down or start a new account with Fitday.
|
Morning ladies!!! :D
Feeling pretty good so far today, scale was 238.8 this morning so i feel like i am really on the road again. Close enough to ticker weight that i don't plan on moving it, except hopefully down real soon! I have to go to my cardiologist today and i can't wait to see what i weigh there and what kind of loss and if she even notices!! SHe has a strange bedside manner, so ya never know how she'll react to things. Today is going to be real busy, doctor's appointment at 7:40, 5 patients then shopping for the halloween party at our church with another lady! Kids are going to grandma's so I may even sneek in a little alone time somewhere before i fall asleep tonight! Already got my exercise done so can be lazy tonight guilt free! Robbin - keep on plan and i know you will be 2teens in no time!!! And, flyby's are better than nothing! Michelle - Thanks for the support! Oh my heart continues to break for you! It will get easier and those memories will bring more comfort than pain as the time goes on. Emily - congrats!!! it feels so good to hit those numbers you haven't seen in years! Tina - so glad to see your pep and motivation coming back! So did you walk your way through Rachel Ray?? Cheryl - thanks for the encouragement! Faith can accomplish a lot of things when you let it! Have there been pictures of the baby quilt i missed? Weather has kept me out of flower beds that really need some attention. Seems like every time i get motivated to do it, it rains! Well girlies gotta run, hope ya'll have a fantastic day! Rainy day so should be interesting getting all this done! So glad to be back and feeling your support and encouragement! |
Good morning ladies, I am not running quite so late today so I can fit in a few personals. The scales are holding out at 222 and do not want to give in. I have been staying on plan and not had any cheating since Tuesday and have gotten in a couple of good work outs on the trampoline so maybe once TOM has left they will drop for me. This weekend is gonna be a very busy one, got a Halloween Party to take the little ones to tonight, have a family support raffle to work from 9-5 tomorrow along with our last football game of the season. Sunday I hope to get the painting in my bathroom finished but also need to go see my parents. I wish there were a few more hours in the day to get everything done.
Tina – did you get the ironing done? Seems like you do a lot of that. In my house if it has to be ironed it might wait forever before it gets done. Michelle – I wish there was something we could do to make things easier for you but I know that your heart has to mend in its own time. Just remember that you will never forget but it will get easier as time goes on. Cheryl – Don’t you hate it when the mower has something go wrong right before that last mowing. Ours did that last year and I had to live with tall grass all winter, it drove me crazy. Erin – I am so glad your scales are heading in the right direction. It makes it easier to get yourself back into the groove. I hear you with the being busy, but look on the bright side of that, with all of the running around you will be getting some extra exercise and not have so much time to think about eating. It always helps me. Well girls I had better get clocked into work. Check back later. |
Happy Friday
Good morning ladies! Well today is looking up. The scale budged another pound. Getting closer to ticker everday (so far). Yesterday hubby had someone cover for him at the restaurant so he could take us out for dinner because yesterday was Alyssa's real birthday. Well, instead of going to Earls like I had wanted (to try that yummy salad Emily had mentioned) he wanted to go to the Keg. I stayed away from the bread appetizer, the prime rib steaks, seafood (usually dipped in butter) and potatoes. Instead I had grilled teriyaki chicken with pineapple salsa and a roasted tomato. Although I did have a couple of bites of Alyssa free birthday dessert, the scales were still able to be nice.
Michelle, you can do this. You have the desire, you just need sort through your feelings of shock and mourning. Like Erin said, soon your memories will start to become more comforting than painful. Hang in there girl. And keep posting, it's amazing how much motivation you'll gain from this group! Cheryl, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'm burning calories and you're making them! LOL! Funny how the smallest little idea will motivate you to keep going! Just so you don't feel too bad about having long grass...I didn't get mine done either but it isn't so bad actually. I think it stopped growing not long after the last mow. Glad you had a good day yesterday! "Weigh" to go Erin! That oughta motivate you with getting back to ticker (close enough!). Wow, you sound so busy today. Keep up that running and burning. Glad you'll be getting some "you" time too. All mommies need a little of that! Thanks, I'm glad too that I'm starting to feel more motivated. Robbin, the ironing didn't get completely done so I have to finish that up today sometime. I hate it!! LOL! You're going to have another busy weekend I hear. Thank goodness the only Halloween party Alyssa has is the one from school. I'm making Monster Toes (cocktail weiners, one end wrapped with tortilla and the other end wedged out to fill up with ketchup to look like a toe nail) and Simple Pimples (cherry tomato, cored and filled with soft cream cheese). She's so excited. I better get going. I'm babysitting my neighbors daughter today. Get back on duty! Have a great day everyone! TTFN! ~Tina |
friday
Good morning ladies, wow, i have a lot of catching up to do. Had my weigh in this morning, down 2 pounds. :cb: So i am happy about that. Wasnt so sure it was going to happen this week, i only worked out 3 times this week and next week is looking even worse for working out. I have to have a couple of simple cysts removed from my shoulder and bicep area...bummer. That kills about 1/3 of my gym workout. I cant do ANY upper body or doc says i will bust a stitch. So i guess i will double up on legs and cardio...not looking forward to that. :woops:
Tina- Good job getting close to that ticker. I LOVE doing the elliptical to a 30 minute show. i am a rachel fan too. i love anything on food network....definately a foodie at heart. :chef: Robbin- I bet that scale will give you BIG results any day now. :crossed: Elem- Rainy day here too...very ugly out...lets make some hot tea. Cheryl- Looks like you are making nice steady progress. Jelynn- Good job on the 215.8...very cool. :cp: Well gotta make a quick run to the store in the rain...yuck. Hope we can all stay strong through the weekend. :dust: |
ERIN...Thank you for your kind words. I know there will be brighter days ahead, just takes time. This week will be hard, because tomorrow we have to go move everything out of my mom's room, and then Thursday is her memorial service and my 12 year old niece is getting up to sing one of the songs with the organist and vocalist. GREAT job with the scales moving in your direction!!!;)
ROBBIN...Thank you also for your kind words. The sunny days do help the mood so much more! I hope the scales cooperate with you when TOM is over with! You're also doing GREAT!!!;) TINA...I agree that I do get a lot of inspiration and motivation from this group! All of you are WONDERFUL!!!;) From seeing the new picture I posted in my signature of me at my heaviest, I can definitely see a difference in losing 30 pounds. My big chin is getting smaller. My DH and DD were amazed when I showed then and they said I have doon so good, so it really makes me want to keep going!;) STACY...GREAT job on losing 2 more pounds, GONE FOREVER!!!:congrat: :woohoo: |
Hey ladies just a quick stop for this Monday morning. I will be back later to do personals.
I did really well on eating and exercising for most of the weekend. Sunday morning the scales read 220 I was so excited. But then for lunch yesterday I was at my mom's and she had made BBQ so I ate too much and had some chips to go with it and today the scales read 222 again. DANG DANG DANG!!! I am gonna chug the water and get right back on track and hopefully they will drop back to 220 soon. Well better get to work. Have a nice day. |
Happy Monday chickies! We all must be a little preoccupied with Halloween. I have a little prep to do tonight, but not too much. Been a good girl this weekend. The scales is still coming down from the disastrous week I had before. But still a few pounds away. I did my grocery shopping this morning for all my planned meals this week. Feeling in control again!
Stacy, congrats on the two pounds! That's great news! Keep it going girl! You know cardio is an excellent workout, it'll keep you in shape. Just think of it of changing up your routine and keeping your body guessing while your shoulder heals, which by the way I hope is speedy! Michelle, wow what a difference! You should be so proud of yourself. You add your own special flavor to this mix. Don't forget that! I'm glad you feel motivated looking at that picture comparison, you should! It's an awesome accomplishment! Robbin, you know after one day of being back on track you're scales will be on track too! Wow! 220! I just know you'll be in the teens this week! You're rockin'! Have a great day girls! TTFN! ~Tina |
Monday
Hey ladies. Well i fell off the wagon yet again this past weekend. I get so tired of screwing up every dang weekend. This time what threw me off was my dh and kids roasting pumpkin seeds....can you say OIL AND SALT! Rediculous. Then the grand parents mailed candy to the kids 1000 grand bars and butterfingers...ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!? Well needless to say...i had some of both. I am trying to look at it like, i only ate 2 bites of butterfinger and 1/2 of the 1000 grand...which is know is terrible...BUT, normally i would have eaten at least one whole one of each. So at least that is a step...although it is definately not a step towards my goal either.
Today on the other hand has been great calorie wise. Didnt get a workout in...worked too late. But at least water and cals are in check today. Tomorrow is surgery day...just some cysts are being removed, twigh-light sedation...so i wont be going to the gym tomorrow either. But i will probably not eat a lot either. I really miss my gym workouts...it is amazing how much better my body feels when i am in the gym. Tina- Glad one of us had a good weekend. ;) Good for you for planning ahead with meals. That will make or break my week. I think that is a lot of what is wrong with my weekends. :chin: But you'll be back to ticker in no time with that mentality. Robbin- Mmmm bbq :hun: ...i wouldnt have turned it down either. Bbq is SO salty though, bet that scale will be back down by the middle of the week. Michelle- With the before and during photo you posted...it looks like great progress. Good for you. :cheer2: Looking good. Ok, time to get some laundry done. |
ROBBIN...Great job with staying on track! You'll be in the 220s in no time now!:cp: :trampo:
TINA...You're doing so good getting your groceries today and planning out all of your meals for the week. Do you get a lot of trick or treaters that come to your house? I remember growing up, we lived in a large residential neighborhood, and my parents would get 10 bags of candy, and sometimes my dad would have to run up and get more. I don't have any little ones anymore so it's not as fun now.:( STACY...Thank you for the nice compliment on my pictures. Seeing them together made me really see the difference. I always mess up on the weekends too, and salt is also my enemy!;) Well today was another hard day after trying to get over yesterday. I had to go get a copy made of my mom's death certificate, and then some reprints made of some pictures to send to family members. We are having such cold weather here, but beautiful sunshine during the day. This morning it was 34F and my DH said it's supposed to get down in the 20s tonight.:^: |
Well girlies gotta be a quickie this morning! Hope ya'll are doing well and things are moving your way. I am still having some issues to say the least, have gained 4.4 pounds since saturday morning when i hit a low of 237.6. SOOO now i am back up to 242. Yes there was some pigging out to account for it, but why should it take 8 days to get 4 pounds off and 3 to put it back on!!!!!!!! I do think some of it is water and lets suffice it to say feels like things are backing up a little. so maybe lots of water and getting back on plan will take care of things.
We are having warm spell (high of 75 today i think) so i may try to get outside with the kids some today and see if the fresh air will help my spirits!! Hate to be the downer but need to lean on ya'll a little today! Really do hope ya'll are doing well! Erin |
:haphal:...Sorry I have been MIA over the weekend, but we had the most beautiful weekend. Hardly any wind and in the mid 60's, so I was busy helping my Hubby work in the yard and get buildings closed up for winter. We still have some stuff to move out of the garage so we can get the car in, hope to do that today.
Robbin and Tina...It absolutely drives me NUTS having to look at tall grass, but with the big mower down, the riding lawnmower down, there isn't much I can do about it. Sure can't mow 7 acres with a push mower, and I wouldn't try it with the tall grass and weeds we have. I did mow around the buildings, but still need to mow in front of the barn. Michelle...I'm following the Core plan with Weight Watchers. I can eat lean meats, veggies, fruit, milk/yogurt, and grains. Any food that isn't a core food I count the points and deduct it from the 35 points I'm allowed for the week. So if I have 1/2 c egg beaters, veggie sausage patty, mushrooms, 1 cup milk, tangelo and 1 slice of whole wheat toast. Everything is core food, except the toast and that would count as 2 points. I watch my portions and judge form 0 to 5 how hungry I am. I also write down in my journal what I ate, how much water I drank, if I got my five servings or more of fruit/veggies and my 2 servings of milk/dairy. I also write down how long I exercised. Erin...75 degrees sounds wonderful.:D Mother nature decided to go out with a bang here. After having such a beautiful fall weekend, we dropped 45 degrees yesterday to 24 for our high, had wind gust up to 45 MPH and snowing hard. We got 1" and suppose to have more today. Looks like the kids that are going treat or treating will be in snowsuits.:badbat: :snow4: Erin, will post a picture of the baby quilt either tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for asking. Stacy...Don't you just hate it when the candy is calling your name? That little bit shouldn't hurt you. Just kick your rear in gear:kickbutt: and increase your workout and chug the water, you'll be back on track in no time. Well girls, I need to get busy and get my house cleaned, have a meeting with our Social worker this afternoon and my hubby and I need to finsh cleaning the garage so we can get the car in. I'm going to have to bundle up for that one, we are only going to be 32 today. BRrrrrrrrrrr!!! Cheryl |
:spid: Good morning ladies, how are the scales treating everyone? Not so good here, I am still at 222. What really gets me is that it doesn’t matter what time of day I weigh they still say 222.0 every time. I weighed before bed last night and they read 222 so of course I thought oh yeah in the morning they will be back to at least 221 but nope they weren’t they were right there at 222.0, now does that not make any sense? I have got to be retaining water for that to happen right?
Stacy – I completely understand your weekend problem, I have the same one. It wouldn’t be so bad if we spent all weekend at home where I make good choices but we are always so busy or going to someone’s house and that is where I screw up. Michelle – We aren’t quite as low temperature wise as you but it is cold here today, the temp this morning is 39 and isn’t supposed to get over 50 today the worst part is we are having so much wind it feels like the cold cuts right through you. It will be a cold night for trick-or-treating for us.:ghost: Erin- I am sure your scale problem is that stupid WWW that we all have problems with. Just keep yourself on track and you will be back to 237 in no tome at all. Cheryl – SNOW, YUCK! I am not ready for that yet. I don’t mind it around Christmas but in October that is just too early. Good luck on the garage cleaning. I have found a new substitute for regular bread. Have any of you heard of Lavash Bread? It is like a tortilla but has only 2 grams of fat and 6 carbs. It is very soft and pliable and makes the best wraps. The shape is different from tortillas too they are probably a 12”x12” square so very big and you can really pile on the fixings, I used deli Cajun Turkey, Kraft Light done Right 2 Cheese Ranch Dressing, Lettuce and Tomato and it was yummy. Well better get to work. Check back later. |
