I peeked in and saw Susan's post and had to reply!
I then decided to go ahead and post this morning on the same post since no one has been in since yesterdy afternoon. I hope everyone is doing well. I am a little concerned about our cat. Night before last he started doing these sneeze like things just out of the blue. I am wondering if he got stung or something. Jean, do you know what could possibly be worng when cats sneeze, more than occasionally? Susan: Yorktown medical examiner: "As you can see, this 50+ year old woman has multiple burn marks on her bum. She was found sitting upright on an electronic toilet and we think she may have flushed causing a short circuit. Sad case really as she had so much {{{GOING}}} for her....." :lol3:  Sorry, just had to do that! You would be mighty trustworthy sending me a dollar  ! Believe me, I would lose it in about 2 seconds on a slot machine. Say a little prayer for Jack. The cardiologists office called again today and said it was imperative he keep his appt tomorrow as his stress test has some "issues" and the doctor wants to speak to him face to face. I now have a rock in the pit of my stomach until we see Dr Anderson tomorrow. I need to run! Faye |
Faye: So sorry to hear the news about Jack. Hope is something that can be handled with medicine. We will keep him in our prayers.
Susan: Oh, my electronic toilet seats...I have enough problems setting my digital clocks, how could I ever handle those. :) We just got our new registration but no new plates so it was send in the money and get the new sticker. Whew! Jean: Your frustration with the school is understandable. If you only have to survive this year to make it to retirement then it could be done. Difficult but doable. Hope you can hold out. Retirement is great but every bit of extra money helps. Good luck. We had a family party on Sunday and it was hectic but fun. Had all but the Raleigh contingent here....7 gks and 5 adults and us. It was raining hard early in the AM but by the time everyone got here it had stopped so that after we ate the boys were able to go out to the driveway and play football catch. Little Stephanie, 6, was in high gear and didn't stop giggling and laughing all day. Her brother, Ryan, 9,...he's the one who played Santa last Christmas...was in rare form as well. He started out, as he was looking at my computer and a screen saver of the Vatican came up, by saying "Oh, that's that place in Rome". I never knew he ever knew where that was. Later, as he was eating his ice cream cone, he held it in front of his mouth and said, "I would like to thank the Academy". Where he comes up with this stuff I will never know. But, the topper was just as they were getting into the car out front. He was in the front passenger seat and I leaned in the window and was saying 'what would you like to be when you grow up...a scientist, a mathamatition?' He didn't know what he wanted to be but his father who was in the driver's seat piped up and said 'Ryan, you want to be just like me don't you, debonair, and handsome?' Ryan looked at him and said "Does that mean I will have to grow hair on my privates?" Well, I just fell over laughing and I think his mother wanted to crawl under the seat. He is too funny and you never know what he is thinking. Every one had a great time and it took me quite a while to wipe the laughing tears from my eyes after they left. |
Jack went for his yearly cardiologist appt today. His nurse called yesterday and said they found an "abnormality" on his stress test from last week and to be sure and not
miss his appt today. The doctor says Jack may have what is called restinosis, which is a renarrowing of the artery where his current stent is. Dr Anderson AND the Nurse practicioner both said that his catherization and tests were totally clear in July when he had the chest pains and went to the hospital and this situation more than likely has occurred since then. The doctor said it is actually rare for this to happen in this way. The decision was made this morning for Jack to go to the hospital a week from today and is having another catherization, but they will be inserting an ultrasound device down into the artery to find any blockage that has not shown up otherwise. He said if blockage is found and they can do it, they will go ahead and put another stent in, if it is something more serious that would require surgery, then he will stop, remove the catheter and discuss with us what he feels needs to be done. We decided to do it next Thursday so if Jack has to stay overnight or in the hospital, he would have the holiday weekend to recover. Dr Anderson won't be there on next Friday so he suggested next Thursday instead. That's about all I can tell you right now. He has to be at the hospital at 6 AM and the procedure is scheduled for 8:30. Faye |
Faye, so sorry to hear of Jack's problems...and having to wait a week to get the test done. I hope it turns out to be nothing or something they can fix with a new stent. Stan has 5 stent's in his left leg. Do you have to carry the card around with the stent bar codes?
I'll be awol until Monday - get Stan's OP surgery over with tomorrow. I have to have him there at 7:15 and the procedure will be at 9:30. |
