Good evening ladies-

Jane- Thank you. I feel like I am doing well, and feel better too. I didn't eat as much fruit today, but I bought cantaloupe for tomorrow. I also got some more veggies. Today was really pretty easy. I re-discovered oatmeal and used your hint of a large salad when we have pizza. I have felt satisfied all day and even did WATP. I have been looking at recipes and will try some once I get to the grocery.

Sassy- I am sorry your back is so bad. I have had that trouble myself and know it is no fun. I agree with Jane about the person you trusted with your weight. Maybe she will explain herself if you give her the chance. We are here when your "soapbox" calls.

Cristina- I hope Jason is okay and nothing serious is going on. Pop in and clue us in. Hope you are doing okay yourself. We miss you when you don't stop by.

Michelle- Oh, I hope they get the surgery re-scheduled quickly. That is hard on everyone...the waiting. Plus your DH missing work. Not a good thing.

Marti- Jhanai has a crush? I remember going through that with my 2 girls. When they were both teens the phone rang off the hook. Now my DGD's seem to have a new boyfriend every time I talk to them. Of course, I think that is a good thing until they are old enough to get serious. My son had one gf all through high school and the first year of college. I felt like he missed out on the dating scene, especially since they didn't end up together after all. Oh, I would never want to go back to that age..would you?

I had a real good day here food and exercise wise. I am feeling pretty perky! It is becoming more natural for me to eat as I should. Yay!
I went to Mom's this afternoon and took her to the bank. Stopped at wally world for my peach tea. I went to the new house and saw that the hardwood floors were in and man, do I love them. They are Canadian maple and go from light to dark maple. Very nice!
Tomorrow is probably grocery day..unless something else comes up.

Jane--Oh goodness....tic tac up the nose! If it was minty, that must have burned! Poor thing. When Jhanai was 2 she was playing on the ground and being so quiet. Finally I decided that she was just too quiet. She was rubbing her nose. She had stuck toilet paper up her nostril. So I layed her down and was talking to her softly while I got this tissue out......she had stuck 4 squares of toilet paper up ONE nostril!! Can you believe it? About gave me a heart attack! Kids!

Sue--I'm with you...I would never go back to that age either! Too emotional! Right now Jhanai and her "boyfriends" just hang out. No kisses (thank goodness) no holding hands, nothing. Just a title of boyfriend /girlfriend. :) I'll have panic attacks once she gets older and starts the kissing.

Well I'm having a late dinner. Chicken and some salad. Been eating really good and I'm proud of myself. Just wish I could see a difference in the old body! MUST WORKOUT MORE!:D

My vacation was awesome. We rented that spot for the whole Month of July in 2007 and I got it approved by my boss this morning to take next July off (with pay) WHOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel much better. I went to bed early yesterday and got some sleep so I feel much much better. Amazing what a good nights or in my case good days sleep does, eh? lol. ;)

I am not letting this one little "thing" get me down. Like you all said she may have just had lots going on and all. I will give her the benefit of the doubt until its proven otherwise. But I have learned something. When sharing something that personal, maybe it is wise to make sure it is the correct time to talk about it.

I am WIDE awake and I should be in dream land, but I don't want to take more PM's. (took a dose of those yesterday to sleep). Oh well.......I'll sleep whenever I get there................lol. I know I have to work tonight but as long as I get a few hours of sleep I should be okay. I've done it before........That is why they have coffee, right? lmaoooooo. :rofl:

I just don't feel like sleeping right now. Ever feel like that? I've been shopping (online) just window (internet) shopping. lol. We are getting a new bed next week (Halluah!) and we are planning on getting new sheets, new curtains (currently just have a blanket on the window) lol and maybe even a new dresser? I figure yes we live in an apt, but why shouldn't it be decorated nicely? So I think maybe we will start one room at a time. First our bedroom, then maybe the bathroom...........etc.

Okay this is going to sound weird, but you gals ever "feel" like your not alone? Don't go calling the loonie bin but I swear I "feel" like someone is here with me. It feels like someone has their hands on my shoulders. I'm serious. Weird I know........

Robin--Welcome back! And what a fabulous vacation set for next year!! Do you have photos to share? I wish I had enought time saved up to take a month vacation...but then again, I probably wouldn't want to go back to work afterwards!:D Glad you're back! :hug:

Sassy--I don't think it sounds weird at all, I feel "not" alone lots of times. I always say it's my "guardian angel" :) Well I sure hope that you get some sleep before going to work. I remember working the late shift and being the same way. I'd be on the computer until 7:00 in the morning because I couldn't sleep.....and I got home from work around 3:00.

SASSY...sorry to hear about the friend. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt first. Surely there is something that kept her from getting back to you, and if not then it is her loss of a friend. :hug: Hope you got some sleep and how fun...a new bedroom. I love decorating! And yes, I've had feelings where I felt like I wasn't alone...get creeped out sometimes by them.

JANE...glad to know that Gina's dad is cancer free and well. Hope little Mackenzie is fine also. That must have been scary for her, poor thing. Well, hopefully sometime soon you will get to buy a pretty dress for Terry and Gina's wedding.

SUE...you'll have to share pictures of the floors...they sound really pretty. You are doing great with your eating and exercise...keep up the good work! I too bought some cantaloupes yesterday...had to cut into one immediately and was a little disappointed that it didn't taste as good as I was anticpating.

MARTI...young love always makes me think of that song by The Osmonds or Donnie Osmond, can't remember now if it was him or the whole group...Puppy Love, cute song. Can't believe how big and grown up Jhanai is getting. Yeah, that poor guy...Josh took pictures of his head so he could show me, he didn't mind (the guy) and just looking at the scar and thinking major surgery, you would think they would keep you in the hospital longer than a day or two. Guess that's the Army for ya.

MICHELLE...sorry they cancelled your mom's surgery. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for all of you. :hug: I don't know why Susan isn't coming back. I too emailed her and have yet to hear from her. I'm very sad about her leaving though. But too, know how busy she is with the girls and work.

Okay, about Jason...apparently it was just a stomach virus. Everything seemed fine with him so...the doc told him if he couldn't keep anything down he was supposed to go back today and he would hook him up to an i.v. but...he took the medicine he gave him, drank some sprite, ate some crackers and pudding and today he is better. He looked really bad yesterday when he came home so I am glad he decided to go to the doc. Heard from Josh yesterday in an e-mail. He said " HOLY COW! it's HOT here! And, there's so much sand...you'd think we were in the desert." He's silly...anyway...he also said he thinks he is going to die from heat exhaustion before he even gets to Iraq, lol. I think it was 122 there yesterday. Poor guys...I feel for them. Having to carry around all that equipment and wear all those clothes in those temps. Anyway, he's fine also just thought I would share that part of his e-mail.

Went to It Figures and got in my walk also. I was feeling a little crappy and almost didn't go. I swear everytime I don't want to go and force myself to "Just DO It" I feel so much better afterward, not just physically, but mentally too. Anyway, that's about all I have for now.

Sue - we have cantaloupe and watermelons all over the country roads out here, where they fall out of the wagons. This is the melon farmers busy season, and they're everywhere! I wish I had a hardwood floor in my living room instead of this light carpet! We've lived here not quiet 4 months, and I'd like to have a dollar for every spot I've treated. :dizzy: With a dog (was 2 dogs ) 3 grown kids, 5 grandkids, and a messy DH, I don't stand a chance!

Marti - kids, lol! All 3 of my kids swallowed money when they were small. Of all things! Like we had a lot to spare, lol.

Robin - welcome back!! YW for the card. :hug: I'm so glad you had a good time, and wow! you've got next year to look forward to already. How cool!

Sassy - after my dad passed away, I felt his presence often. It made me feel a little creepy, but mostly good. Does that make sense? Oh, I love to decorate! You'l have to tell us your color schemes, ok?

Cristina - well, hopefully, when they DO get married, I'll at least be in a smaller size again, lol. So glad Jason is ok. And thanks for sharing the email clip from Josh. I can't imagine being in that kind of heat. :yikes: Especially with all the stuff they have to carry.

Well, I went to Evansville by myself today. I was looking for some better twin-sized sheets, and found some there. The best we have around here in twin size is 250 thread count. Also bought a Splenda dessert recipe cookbook. And a pale mauve shirt for fall. What color pants should I wear that with? I know pink and brown is hot, still, but I was thinking gray or black.

The melon was every bit as good as I had hoped. Yummy. I had a slow day here, which equals having a hard time with food. I did just okay, not super, but still better than usual. At least I got in a 2 mile walk tonight. It was so humid, but I made it.

Jane- I love the way the hardwood looks, now if it is just easy to care for. The master is going to have light carpet as is bedroom #2. Mom picked out a gray tone which is really pretty. All the carpet is berber, which I have had here and love.

Robin- Glad you had fun and have next year to plan for. Welcome back, you were missed.

Cristina- Thank goodness Jason didn't have anything serious. Hope he is 100% now. Sorry your melon wasn't as good as mine. :) Hey, keep up the good work. I need to double my walking but my walking buddy has a bad knee and can only do so much and I hate to walk alone. I still haven't gotten the bicycle fixed and want to do that.

Christi I wanted you to know that I know what your a feeling. Always think positive. My son was in Iraq came back to the states and then to Afganistan. He's now in Germany. E-mail him alot. They have that now and he will love it.

I am glad my night is over with. Hub and I both did not get to sleep until 11 a.m.! We just could not sleep for some reason! But we managed to stay awake all night at work! lol.

I don't plan on staying up very late today.

Don't feel my "Guardian Angel" around me yet. lol. It felt almost like someone was giving me a massage if that makes sense. I figured it was my step-dad, I always feel him around me.

Anyways, hopefully later on today before work we will go and pick our new sheets. We found a really good deal on 650 thread count sheets @ Linens N Things for only $49.99! :D We are also going to get a new comforter and a new curtain since right now we are using a blanket over the window. :p

I also would like to get a new dresser. Nothing fancy, infact I think I want to keep our "theme" to our bedroom very simple. I also need a new nightstand, the one I have is from when I was still a teenager! lol. Think its time for a new one? lol.

I think we want to do wine red color, like a dark burgendy or something, but we will see. ;)

For the bathroom I would like maybe a dark green? It is all white in there so a nice dark color I think would look nice. I also love those chrome old style accessories they have at Wally World.

For my kitchen, my "theme" is Strawberries, which anything with strawberries, at least around here, is almost impossible to find. We have found a few strawberry things here or there, but not many. So I want to do Red and Green in there.......But alas, we don't have much of a kitchen. lol. But I'll see what I can do! :)

For our living room, we want to do a Southwest Theme. We already have Wolf Accessories because my husband loves wolves.

As for my husband's office, that is totally up to him. I don't care what he does with it as long as he gets all of the boxes out of there! (we are going to get a storage unit to store them in)

Basically we are just trying to make our apt. "nice" without going overboard. Just a few accessories and organization can make a big difference as we have already seen in our bedroom just by rearranging a bit!

Well I have rambled on long enough I think.
