Thanks!

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! I think I will fit right in here!

Maybe I should tell you all a little about myself quickly here before I head to bed, up later then I planned tonight. Like I said before I am 38 yrs old married almost 20 years and we have a 19 year old son who just graduated high school this year. We live a small town near Bloomsburg, PA not much happens here on a normal basis. I was just recently promoted to Traffic Manager where I work which I was tickled to death as was the majority of the dept.

I have been battling losing this weight now for I want to say 3 years. I know I can do it I just have to buckle down and DO IT!!!! No more screwing around and failing at this I have to prove myself to basically myself!

Tomorrow morning is WI and am hoping for a loss but I didn't to good over the weekend not bad but not good at all.

I am all up for the challenge sounds like fun!

Ok need to head to bed but thanks again for the big warm welcome girls!!!!

GM everyone! I hope you all had a happy Monday!!

Michelle, you will definitely fit in here. We're a fun group. Repetiton will make exercise more habitual for you. Getting started is the hard part, but you can do it. ;) I'm like you. I finally decided it was time to just buckle down and do it. This thread has made it a lot easier for me to keep my resolve. I've slipped up here and there, but I know I can just get right back on the wagon.

AquaChick - I hope everything went ok at the dr's.

Elycia - I hope you're feeling better today. Take it easy if you need to.

Danielle - How'd you sleep.

Melissa
- Did you have fun last night? I hope so!

Butterfly
- How is it working out with the pictures.

Hello ladies! :coffee2:

Good to see some of you are losing more weight!!!! AWESOME JOB!!!!! :carrot:

Sorry it took so long to come back. I had a ton of tests run on me yesterday and was gone all day. I feel a little like a lab rat.

Well, there are no blood clots, and that is great! My heart did show its funny beats on the echocardiogram, but they said it is more annoying than anything, but it is not life threatening. Either it isn't done healing or the procedure did not close off electrical impulse 100%. My blood pressure is borderline to high. :( Dam. I have a feeling I will be seeing those blood pressure meds again in my near future.

So basically, I am not in a serious situation, except for the blood pressure- and that might be the culprit for a lot of the malaise and blah. I am wearing a heart monitor and they will review it.

Thanks for thinking about me ladies. :)

Good Morning Fellow Winning Losers!!!

Much, Much Better today. 2000% better!!! Ugh! I just felt like falling out yesterday. I'm going to let you guys know this right now. It never fails, EVERYTIME, I get restarted on a better eating plan, I get a awful headache and flu-like symptoms. I don't know what is up with that, but that is how it is for me. No matter how I try to do it. I think I stress over it too much and there I go. I started yesterday with the best of intentions to eat a little healthier, not too much but better. I guess my body wasn't fooled because it made me pay for it dearly.

Anyways, like I said, today is a new day and a new resolve. As you guys will learn, my strategy towards weight loss will constantly change. I may have a plan in mind and change mid-stream. Basically, I decided to start on the Transfirmer rotation. I am still going to do Leslie Sansone, but not everyday. I am going to intermingle it with my Transfirmer rotation. We will see how it works. I may change my mind through the month, but hey, it's a start in the right direction.

Danielle, I am so excited for your sister. That has to be such a great surprise. Congratulations on becoming an aunt again and on your 1 lb loss!! Yayyyyy! :)

Michelle, I am glad that you joined us and you are right, you will fit right in. I am sure that you see that this thread moves very quickly. Sometimes, it is hard to keep up with it, but just post when you can and don't worry about it. We certainly understand a busy schedule.

Anna, just wanted to say hey! I don't think I saw you yesterday. Getting back to the grind of work. I know it has probably been a rough week considering that you had a vacation. I went on a cruise in 97 and had a wonderful time. It was around a holiday, I think Thanksgiving, so I think I was off work for like 11 days straight. I think I went through a depression when I came back!!! It was so hard, I just wanted to go back on my cruise and the islands. Well, hope to hear from you today.

I am finally on target and determined to get this weight off. You know you really do have to wrap your mind around losing and set your resolve. I really believe that I am at that point. So, I am aiming for about 2 lbs per week. I will be updating my ticker probably every Wednesday, though probably not tomorrow. I think I am going to make every Wednesday my weigh in day.

Melissa, Butterfly, Aqua, Amanda, Laramie, Mia, Kenya, Stacy  I hope you guys are having a great day and staying on target. I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Well, I better get going. The girls are taking their morning nap and since I didn't get to the kitchen yesterday, I better take advantage of this time.

Ciao!

Elycia

Hi u2girl!

I think those symptoms happen to a lot of people when they change their diet. It's like your body is throwing a tantrum, lol.... not pleasant though.

I understand about having to change you strategy every now and then. If it keeps you focused on losing the weight then it is probably the better thing to do instead of burning yourself out on one plan that you may begin to resent after a while. *AH-HEM* liquid diet *cough* ;)

Amany 08-15-2006 10:51 AM

Morning Aqua. I'm so glad you're ok. I'm sure you feel a lot better knowing that you're not in danger. I'm definitely glad for you!

Elycia, I love the new pic you have of the girls. They're so cute! Those flu-like symptoms you were having could be sugar withdrawal. You're low-carbing, right? I know that a lot of people experience that for the first 3 - 7 days of low carb plans. With the first phase of South Beach also. Even if you haven't been using table sugar or drinking full calorie soft drinks, sugar is in a lot of stuff. When you cut those things out, you go through the withdrawal. It will pass.

I hope everyone is doing well today. I'm freezing! It's not that warm outside yet the AC is still on full blast at work. It will remain this way until October. Meanwhile I will have to keep a sweeter and a small blanket here to cover my legs. In August!!!

AquaChick 08-15-2006 11:37 AM

Thanks Amany! :) lol, it's like that here too! If you turn the AC off you waste power trying to kick it on later in the day. Plus if you turn it off then you swelter later... ah, gotta love the end of summer air conditioner situation....

Hun.e.B 08-15-2006 11:56 AM

Good Tuesday morning lovelies!!! I've gone back the past few days that I've been MIA to try to catch up with everyone, and I just have to say, you ladies are so incredible!! I'm so lucky to be a part of this group!

Laramie...sorry I'm so late in saying this but I'm sorry the date turned out the way it did. I look at it this way, he just wasnt the one. Would you really wanna be with someone who couldnt even be honest to you about things? You are better off, although I'm sure it may not feel that way. Relationships are funny that way, when you are ready its going to be there for you. And you are working so hard and doing so well at getting yourself healthy, mentally and physically. I'm so very proud of you for not cutting for almost 2 months now. Stay strong girl! Mister right is out there and when you finally find him he's going to treat you like the queen you are!

Amanda....WOOOHOOO 2lbs gone!! Way to go lady!! Keep up the good work!! I'm freezing right there with you!! Got myself all wrapped up in a big blanket right now! Its even worse when I'm drinking my water too! LOL! who says its summer?!

Butterfly...I'll post up how I posted my pic in a little bit, I gotta walk back thru it to remember LOL! We'll get it figured out!

Danielle....OMG, I'm so excited for you!!...well not you your sister! LOL!! How exciting! And isnt that just how it goes, just when you give up the ghost on having your own you get pregnant! I'm so happy for your whole family! Way to go on that loss lady!! Remember slow and steady and we are getting there!!! And you thought you were doing so bad!

Elycia...I'm so sorry that that yesterday was such a yucky day but so happy that you are feeling better today! I think what you go through after starting a new plan is withdrawl! Classic withdrawl symptoms if you ask me. Usually it'll last a few days and if you can just get through it you'll be that much better off. Stress plays a big role too, just try to wrap your head around the fact that this isnt a race! You can relax and enjoy your journey to a fit healthy body!

Michelle...I love your attitude girl!! You are going to be a succes I just know it!! let us know how that WI went!!

Aqua....good to hear that things arent more serious. You seem to be feeling better lately is that the case? I sure hope so! Hows WW research going?

Anna...where did you go?!

Okay, so the verdict after my not so good eating weekend and my falling off the water challenge was a 1 lb loss!! Yay! I'll take it, just think what I could do if I got really serious about this! My plan today is to get that walk in this evening and water water water! today is day 1 of the water challenge for me..7 to go! And 6 out of 7 days of exercise will net me that lithium scale!! Now if we can just come up with a food challenge so I can earn myself a digital food scale, I'll be in business! LOL!

Have a wonderful day today ladies!!

Hello ladies.

Aqua, so glad to hear that you are doing better! Very good to hear!

You are too funny. :D

You guys must be right. It does feel like some type of withdrawal. Wow, my usual diet must really be crappy! :) But you'd think that since I don't want to go through that, I would keep my eating in check! But nooooooo! I decide to start and stop and go through the misery. Oy Vey! One day I will learn.

Well guys, so far the day is going G-R-E-A-T!!!! I have been eating according to my plan and I just got my workout in. Everything is going swell. Feel like doing the carrot dance.

:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Okay, I got that out of my system. :)

Thanx for the encouragment Melissa and Amanda, thanx for the compliment on the girls. :) Oh yeah, congrats on the weight loss Amanda!!! Great job!

I better be going now. See you guys later!

Oh yeah, I wanted to post real quick. A really neat resource to keep you on track is Fitday.com. It is just awesome. When I lost weight in the past, I logged everything I put in my mouth and I tell ya, the weight was just coming off like crazy. I am doing that again now and I really think I am going to see excellent results if I stick to it. It just makes sure that you know everything that you are eating and alot of information that I read says that is an important part of losing weight. So, I just wanted to share that. Now, I really have to go.

Hun.e.B- It comes and goes, but I keep pushing. I think I feel like blah more when my blood pressure spikes.
We all fall off the wagon at some point or another. As long as we catch it, and jump back in before it goes all the way down the hill,it's all good. :D

u2girl- congrats on the good day!

flawlesscube- Hi sweetie!!!

Hun.e.B 08-15-2006 05:04 PM

Way to go Elycia!!! keep up the good work, sounds to me like you are just soaring today!! Yay!!! I use fitday off and on myself. In the beginning I find it so time consuming but as the years go buy I have customized so many foods its alot easier. And I find I stick to calories so much better when I use it daily too!

Anna....I'm so happy to see you pop in and give the update...smaller shoes! LOL! Hey as long as everything keeps shrinking no matter what it is thats a sign to celebrate!! Keep up the good work!

Aqua...as long as we never give up we'll always win!!

I took my girls out to lunch today, I had a chicken burrito, I'm sure way more calories than I ought to have had. But I did have 3 glasses of icewater with it!! Still gotta get my walk in, the smoke is terrible today so really bad air quality, but I will do it! Even if its just a short one!

Have a great afternoon everyone!

Danielle - How could I forget to congratulate you on your niece?! I'm so happy for your sister. I can't believe I didn't mention it before. What a blessing!

I made an investment in myself today. I'm now able to get into my 18w pants. They fit really tight though. Wearable, but uncomfortable. So, I figure I'll be able to get them on comfortably around the first week of September.
I went shopping on my lunch hour today and bought four pairs of pants. They were all drastically marked down and the total came to $20.18. Guess what size they were?! They were 18 reg and 16w!! I'm determined to be in them by the first week of October. Just in time for fall.
When I got home I unpacked all my 18 regs and 16w pants and hung em up! I'm wearin' those bad boys in 2 months! :cb:
