Hi Stacy! It's great to see you today and that you are doing so well. I wouldn't worry at all about what you think is weight creeping up...Caroline is right, you're using those muscles now so of course your body is wondering what the heck is going on. :lol: Once it figures out that you're not gonna starve it, the weight will start dropping again. Also, make sure you are getting enough calories in so you've got enough to burn all day!! You're doing a great job so far so don't give up! :hug:

So nice to see everyones post for the day. Ugh! It's been a long day. I've been working really hard to get this house cleaned. We just have so much stuff and it always looks clutter. I threw out alot of stuff today and will be throwing out more tomorrow. Mia, I will be sure to post that site and any others that I find that help with WW recipes. That first site does have a section where it lists recipes and some are low point. Anna, 4:00 a.m.? That is some of my best sleep. :) I hope you were able to get some sleep a little later on. I have not read the Curves book, but I hear that it is a good read. I also heard the the Curves program is a good one. After I get finished reading the 2 books I am reading now, I will see if my library carries that one. Caroline, thanx for the congrats! That August points challenge, I have looked at a few times. It sounds like a neat challenge. Only thing is I couldn't find out what is the reward if you get the highest points at the end of the month? Or is there a reward? Danielle, thanx for asking and I DID get my workout in today. Yay! I did the Leslie walk again. I will not workout tomorrow. She says that Sundays should be like a sacred day that we kind of pamper ourselves. I wanted to tell you that you helped me to exercise today. Since I wasn't officially starting until Monday, I was thinking about not even bothering today, but I logged in and saw that you had asked about my exercising and so I went ahead and did. Thanx Danielle! I need all of the activity that I can get. :) So glad to hear that your new next door neighbors are better. Hi Melissa :wave: Glad that you decided to join us and I look forward to getting to know you and about your goals. Welcome! Stacy, so glad to see ya. I tell ya, the weight loss thing can be confusing, so don't feel bad. Are you lifting weights? Your body is probably adjusting. What typically happens with me when my weight does funky things it is dealing with a set point and then my weight will drop. You are definitely doing the right thing by adding exercise, so keep at it, don't give up and you will be amazed. You will look in the mirror one day and be like "where did i go?" It's really amazing what exercise does to your body. I will try to get more pics of the girls. Thanx for the compliment. Phew! Morning Ladies, wow I had a problem trying to log on today. Awake again at about 4am, hoping to go back to sleep, hmmm, My SO is trying to tell me to relax on vacation but there is so much to do and since he hasn't really seen me in the winter yet I guess it will be fine, I tend to turn into a hermit when it gets cold and enjoy the scenery of the winter in the woods ect.
Elycia The book is good now if I would stop faling asleep into it I would get more out of it, osmosis is just not working :) Aqua haven't seen you in awhile or I am blind just to let you know we are having the start of some beautiful sounds of rolling thunder. Caroline I loved reading your blogs in my breaks yesterday. You have some great ideas and oh loved the part about cleavge too funny. Thank you for allowing us to read it. Stacy thank foryour comments, I completed my parents basement a couple of years ago although i really don't do plumbing or electrical i have learned to do everything else. I look forward to hearing your progress when you start :) Well I had a very cleansingexperience here yesterday, started to finally clean out my closet of useless clothes and came up with a full bag for rags for the garage and about 5-6 bags i will either donate or throw depending on the shape of them, so now in the middle of the newly finished rtoom is a pile of clothes, and the rest of the house is a disaster aw well it all gets done in time, do i get to count laying floor for exercise? heehee. Hello Anna- Thanks you so much for the kind words! Also the only thing different about phase two in the South Beach diet is that you get to add more what once was restricted food back into your eating plan. I don't know why but this just wasn't going to work for me. I tried it but I seemed to always go back to the phase one eating plan which was just too restrictive for me. However I think it is a great plan but SOuth Beach just wasn't for me.

Good to know Rkrs and thanks for sharing that. I am going to try the curves plan, I like the phase one part, looks simple enough as soon as i figure out what to substitute for the dairy other than lactose free milk. So what are you doing up so early? Hope you have a great day.

Anna- I can't help it I am up at 4 am like clockwork! I usually wake up between 3:30 and 4:00 but I make myself at least stay in the bed untill 4:00. Then I generally have the house to myself until abut 5:30 or six when my Dh and kids wake up. we are a very morining family:) I really like the curves plan. I have read about it and I wanted to join the club but the hours that they are open wouldn't work with my schedule.

Congrats for making it to the 200's, RK! Great accomplishment. You are doing so great, I don't want to get discouraged by the 17 lb thing. Just keep focused and you will do just great! Your husband and family must be really proud of you and I hope that you are extremely proud of yourself.
Anna, so glad that you decided on a plan that works for you and finding alternatives. Please keep us posted on how things are going with the eating and how you are feeling. I hear you ther about the hours, I generaly work graveyard shift and those hours just don't work at all though i joined anouther gym in town and they are open 530 am to midnite, now that i love and i have my own key to get in so on the weekends early i may be the only one there. can I ask what Rkrs stands for?

Good morning...er, afternoon, all! I'm a late starter, myself, but I swear I haven't been asleep all morning! I should have been working on that paper I still haven't started, but alas. I am seriously low on energy today because my TOM decided to surprise me a week early. Which at least explains why my body insists on holding onto water weight, so yay for that. I weighed myself anyway this morning and I'm back down that 6 ounces I gained, so maybe after TOM is over I'll have lost a little more. That would be a lovely surprise : )
Kenya, congratulations on the 200s! That is awesome. You've come such a long way already and it is truly an inspiration to the rest of us. The success stories of the people on this forum really do keep me going on the hard days, so I appreciate you sharing your progress with us. Elycia, I don't think there is a prize for the August points challenge. I think it's just supposed to be motivational, which works for me because I do well with public accountability (hence the blog, and thanks, Anna! Glad you enjoyed). It doesn't seem like there are a lot of people participating, but it's summer. That's a busy time for many people. Well, I should get around to that paper now. Or put it off a little longer and go swim some laps, if I can work up the energy. Mostly I'd like to crawl back into bed with a large bar of chocolate and watch movies. But I won't. Good thing I don't have any chocolate in the house : ) |

Anna....I hope your heel is feeling a little better today! You are right its vacation and you should spend the rest of it relaxing! It'll be over much too soon! There is always something to clean in the house isnt there? Seems like we can never keep up, although the laying on the floor isnt exercise all that hard work you are doing does! Not sure how anyone functions at 4am though! LOL! Danielle....Thank you again for yesterday! You'll never know how much you mean to me! Caroline....Its a very ambitious person who takes on summer semesters! I've not been that person thus far in my college carreer. How's the paper going today? Since I do take the summers off they get to be too long and I think I'm ready to go back again. How do you like taking the online classes? Do you find that you stay on top of things? I've wondered if I'd end up blowing it off for later if I went that route with a couple of my classes. The great place about where we live in montana is that our winters are very mild. We really dont get much snow (I wish we'd get more) but we have the BEAUTIFUL country too! I read your journal too...you are an amazing writer! With your major are you planning on publishing? Stacy....have you been taking your measurements along with using the scale to check weight loss? When you start a workout regimine you start to build muscle which is more dense than fat, plus you wont lose weight and inches at the same time. So if things arent going your way on the scale, chances are your measuring tape will show the losses. Dont get discouraged yet...sounds to me like you are doing GREAT!!! Congrats on some amazing losses!!! I hope your little one is feeling better today. Elycia...now that you've got your house under better control do you want to come do mine too? LOL! I'm with you on the clutter I just cant seem to keep up with it! Kenya....WOOOHOOO!!! What an amazing accomplishment!! I'm very happy for you, congrats on a GREAT loss!!! Keep up all that hard work, onederland is right around the corner!! Way to go!! Whew...I hope that was everyone! Today is my last "free" day so to speak. Tomorrow will be my official weigh in. I giggled on the laying on the floor part though, i meant laying the floor as in replacing it :) I just tore out the carpeting and layed tile these last 2 days. My heel is much better at least it doesn't scream when i walk on it aymore, oops that could be the pain pill i took also aw well, heading out now so i should go dry my hair, going to the fair whoohoo, cotton candy anyone, just kidding Anna |

It's nice to see some girls checking in this morning. Of course I'm late late late again! So sorry about that girls, I was awakened by the neighbors again this morning. I was the only one too, so not sure if that's good or bad? :lol: Using that balcony again at 3am! For some reason they just have to talk at the top of their lungs out there. And if they aren't, well it certainly sounds like it from down here! :mad: People coming and going at 4am and the dogs barking for 10 min. I was shocked that no one else woke up, but alas, just lil' ole me...now I'm tired. Grumpy. Achy. Sleepy.
