  • Hey girls. Hoping you found your way here. To keep things from getting out of hand and LONG....maybe we could do a new thread each month. I used May for this one since there is only a couple days left in APril.

    Just have to tell you that Kayla had a wardrobe malfunction (in Janet Jackson fashion) and her clasp around her neck came undone and she ended up flashing the audience...OOps

    Back to the homework grind. Check back in a while

    I'm Vanessa, 26 and a mom to two little boys; Kai is 2.5 years old and Kael is 1 on the 4th! yay! I have about 40-50 pounds to loose, and really am hoping to find a good group to be comfortable and share with.
  • Vanessa, You sure can join us! We'd love to have you. I'm Chris, mom of 3 daughters..Tiana, 12, Kayla, 6, and Nicole 3. I'm an almost full-time mom and am a full-time student and work 2 days a week for my dad.

    Sure would love to hear more from you. What you're weight loss goals are, how much you've lost, what you're doing for exercise, eating plan...etc. What you like to do in your spare time. YOu know...I'm just a nosy little woman!

    Gotta get my butt to bed. Work tomorrow and then I get to come home and work on my homework alot more. 3 more final tests to take and 1 database to do and 1 finals project to finish...all before thursday. I"M SO DEAD!

    Sorry i havent been around much lately ... been so busy with getting this house in order and trying to work and all the fun stuff ....I have been doing really good with my exercise... the eating I am so-so at the moment but working on it daily... yesterday... i cleaned the yard.... painted a a large room in the house and rearranged my son's room... so I think i got my exercise in that way... today i will actually do my walking away the pounds video.... well need to go... its work work work time... i will try to check in later.. have a wonderful day... keep busy... keep moving .... and drink your water....

  • Good morning ladies! This weeken was kind of a bust. It rained nonstop all weekend. DH's game was even cancelled! oh well, it will all work out, and they will make up the game in a couple of weeks.

    I am so tired of being on this plateu (SP?) I have been bouncing around the same four or five pounds for three months!!! I have increased the cardio, but still maintain the weights. THe only other thing I can chang is to stave myself, and I WILL not do that. Just hoping that one of these days it will all fall into place. Have to get DS on the bus...Later chicas!

    Nice to see some posts from all of you. I haven't been very good about posting either. I've been buried in homework. TOo much homework.

    Anyhow, I have 2 more tests to take and my database to finish up and that is it. I have to try to get into my academic advisor so I can get signed up for my classes. I have until Thurs. I can't get a hold of mine at all, but I might give another one a call because I think I am going to switch over to a BS degree instead of an AAS.

    Gonna get my buns to bed...and rest my fingers for my busy day of typing tomorrow.

    Well I have one more final to take tonight and then I'm done til September. WOO HOO! You'll be seeing lots more of me then.

    I got 25 min of elliptical and 45 min on the treadmill today. We're going to workout longer so we can get the fat burn. God knows, I really need it.

    Well gonna go and get ready to go visit my mom-in-law and then come home to take my test.

  • Chris I am still here, but We have been very busy. I did 10 min on the treadmill nad 20 mins on the bike and 40mins with weights. I am hoping to increase the cardio soon. Good luck on your final final.
  • I'm done...I'm done...I'm done...!!!!

    Hi all. So how are we doing ladies..(Carly, Ellen, Jen, Mary, Chrissy, Vanessa, etc). I'm doing okay. Finally got in the gym this week. My doctor put me on a liquid protein fast for a couple of weeks. I get protein shakes for breakfast, snack, lunch...protein bar for my afternoon snack, and a regular dinner. My weight loss has been stuck since September. I'm not fond of the idea of a fast, but right now I'm desperate enough to try anything. Yesterday was my first day and it didn't go too bad. Day 2...always harder than day one. We'll see how I do. I can't check my weight anymore, my scale broke... My stereo (the cd part) busted in my truck. I seem to have that magical touch lately. As long as nothing catches on fire, I guess I'm okay.

    Gotta go. Nicole is throwing a major tantrum and I have to take Tiana to the eye doctor and then I have an appt with my academic advisor. Check back later.

  • Relax...I'll try. We have to prep the house to paint it next weekend. Life is just one continuing whirlwind around here. I went to church with my mom and sisters tonight for LADIES NIGHT. They do it for the women of the church every May. It is such a blast. Of course this year, I didn't win a darn thing. It is such a riot. Then we went out for coffee and came home. It's so fun to sit around and just be a non-mom for a while. Takes the stress and makes it disappear.

    I got enrolled today for 3 of my classes. I have to take an English and Math placement test for my other two. At the Technology campus...we didn't have to do that but for my bachelor's the math is a bit more advanced soooo...I've got 2 weeks to bone up on the algebra and stuff I learned almost 20 yrs ago. Man, I'm old...

    Gonna play a game of literati and get to bed.

  • Good morning ladies! Just a quick post to see how you are doing. I am recommitted and I am going to do this. I talked with the dr I work with and he is going to help me out. I have to start journaling my food intake again, and we switched some meds around. I am hoping that this helps, and that I don't have to keep fighting so hard. Have to run and get DS on the bus!!
  • I'm not sure what to do with my program. I feel utterly defeated. I've been doing this modified fast they what to try on me for a week or two and at the end of week one...no change! I lost 3 lbs but when I got on the scale, there is 2 lbs of it back. I don't know what to do anymore. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING is working. All I'm doing is wasting a bunch of money on a body that DOES NOT want to change. I'm exercising, eating better, staying within my calorie range and what to I have to show for it...NOTHING! Just an empty wallet.

    Gotta go...Coli is having a meltdown and I'm about to join her. I am so frustrated with her. I tell her to do something and she tells me no and fights me on everything. How do you disipline a kid who is that strong willed. My husband says to just stay with it and keep on her, but what I want to know is at What cost to me? My blood pressure just goes up, I get very angry, and I think my whole body and emotions are more intense then hers. I'm losing my sanity just to make her behave. OMG, is it worth it???? I'm just having a bad time I guess.
