Default Hi guys!

Hi guys,
Just thought I would post before I go off to bed.

Went to my WW meeting today and stayed the same for the 2nd week in a row. What is up with that? Well I guess that 5 1/2 lbs I lost 2 weeks ago makes up for it, but still. I was doing good this week I thought. Oh well, I would say next week, but we are going to Michigan tomorrow for 5 days for Ken's car show and it will be either saying in hotels or with our families and you know what that mean? Yes I mean eating out or bar b ques or who knows what else. But I will try to be good and make good choices as best I can. That is about all I can do.

Kim-So sorry about what has been happening in your life. I know you had told me when you came to see me that you know this has to be and would be for the best, but he has been a part of your life for so long that I would think it would bother you to know this will be the end of your marriage. But it is nice that your Mom is therre I would think. Also so sorry about what happened at work, it would be hard to do anything with your foot like it is. Don't worry things have to get better I would think. Just remember to take things one day at a time. Come on back and post when you feel blue, we are here for you always. Here you go a hug for you to make you feel better!

CJ-Hey you, glad you posted, miss you and glad we got to talk the other day. I know we were playing phone tag, but at least we got to talk to each other at long last. Glad you are doing good and you sound great too and your trip to Florida sounds great from what you said. I have to go over and start my exercise forum when I am done with this. THAN it is off to beddy bye for me. We will leave when we get up tomorrow and I don't want to be up much longer. I am getting soooooooo tired. So come on and see what CJ started and me too, join us.

Hey everyone, come on and join in the fun and post with us. everyone! See you when I get back, which will be after this coming Monday sometime.

Love you guys, Sassy Sharon

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Works going a little better this week. Getting used to being on my feel all day again. Fortunatly, it's not been that hot here, and it hasn't been miserable heat wise at work. But, I have a feeling that is going to change soon.

The good news is I am back in the clothes I was in when I hurt my foot. That is a size 22. Got up to a 24 for a couple weeks. Not much, but at least I have more than one pair of jeans to wear. And might even be able to get into some shorts. I didn't want to go out and buy new clothes if, after going back to work and giving the medicine time to get out of my system, I was going back to what I was. I will save that money for when I get back into 18's. Hopefully, one of these days....

Well, that is all for now. I will try and post again in a couple days.

Have a good week.

Kim

Hi all .. just a quickie here ... we are in the process of putting in ceramic tile in our front room (ripping out the carpet) so everything is a mess right now. Hope everyone is doing great. Got to tell you this tho before I go. We went to the Casino the other day (Sunday) and I won 2 Royal Flush jackpots on the poker video machines! One was for $1,000 and the other was for $2,000!!! Not bad eh???

I weighed in today - was the same! That is good, but I want it to go down! I'll try harder this week!

I gotta go .. sorry. I will be back later tho.

Love, CJ

Sorry been MIA, summer is a bit of a madhouse with 3 kids home and they are bored all the time.

Happy belated Birthday Sharon!!!

Congrats on the poker winnings CJ!! I've never gambled before but it sounds like fun!!

Congrats on getting back into your pants KimV, now thats a good feeling!! I finally am comfortable in a 14...............its been atleast 8 years for me, next step size 7, that would be 10 years ago, LOL

Time to run again, the kids are up and demanding my attention. I think when they hit me in the head with the cereal box repeatedly, that must mean something, LOL

Hi all,
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. I had a pretty good one, went with the 2 kids, daughter, Kelly and Son, Dan, that still live in Indiana to an Italian restaurant, I only ate half my food though, got Spinach Tortellini with cheese. It was great. The funny thing we didn't get a cake and a really large party at the next table was celebrating some guys birthday. I saw they were taking pictures of the whole gang and offered to take one of them all, so everyone could be together. I told them it was my birthday too and said Happy Birthday to the guy. Right before we left they called me over and said I had to take some of their cake home, I thought they just were going to give me once piece. But they insisted I take half the cake home, it was a nice layer one from a local bakery. So that was nice, we all got to have cake when we went back to Kelly's. Funny eh? I get cake on my birthday from another persons birthday party. HA HA HA

I am trying to do good so far, after 2 weeks of staying the same, after that big 5 1/2 lb loss I had a few weeks ago, I finally had a loss, even if it was only 3/4 of a pound, I will take that. I am trying and writing everything down faithfully and trying to drink the water and exercise daily too. How is everyone else doing? I sure hope great!

CJ-Wow that ceramic tile in the front room sounds great to me. Hooray for you with all your big winnings at the casino. That is so wonderful, I know you will put it to good use, or you can always put it in your casino jar too. LOL

Tami-Oh yes, summertime with the kids, I remember it well. I also had the fun filled summers with 4 kids too. It will go by fast and before you know it they will be going back to school and you won't know what to do with yourself. But I am sure you will think of something. LOL Glad you posted, I love when you do and look forward to reading your posts too.

Kim-I am glad your foot is a bit better and not bothering you so much and you were able to go back to work now. That is also great that you are back down a size and can wear all your clothes again. I am with your, save your money for when you go get down to your size 18's, and notice I say WHEN, so maybe you an get the stretchy type shorts so you can use them when you are down even more. Sounds like a plan to me. How is Hannah doing? I miss that little cutie and you too. We will have to make plans again sometime this summer to meet at Circle Center in Indy.

Well, better get off here and get to bed. Hope everyone is healthy, happy and wise. Have a wonderful weekend all.

Love you, Sassy Sharon

Sharon- Sounds like you had a great birthday! Fortunately mine is still months off in the future, LOL Don't really need anymore of them. I've decided to set my weight goal of 150 pounds for November 2nd. Thats my 42 birthday and I haven't seen that weight in almost 10 years now.....funny thing is I always thought that was fat!! Amazing what time does for us.

Had a really good morning yesterday, my scale said 176!!!! That was 4 pounds since I last bothered to look at it. I always feel better when I have a loss! Heres to many more.

Tomorrow my husband finally goes back to work. He's been on vacation (again) for 2 weeks. I love the man to death but gosh do I enjoy my days when I'm not picking up after him too.

Well gotta run...................have a great Sunday all!

Hey Tammi,
Actually I don't like birthdays much anymore and want them to STOP-the only good thing is you get to be with your family or at least hear from them if they live far away.

Way to go on your 4 lb loss since you last looked at the scale. You are doing fantastic. Your weight goal sounds like a plan, just take small steps at a time, that's what I am trying to do. I would like to eventually be 155 down the road, but right now I am at 183, and that is another 28 lbs added on to the 43 already lost, so I guess I am trying to take it as it comes. Right now I am looking at getting in the next diget, which would be the 170's, which would make my loss over 45 lbs, that would be nice. But it looks like we have around the same weight to lose, give or take a pound, actually you have 2 lbs less than me to lose. WE CAN DO THIS, SLOWLY, BUT SURELY!!

Well better run, want to get to Curves in a few and work out!

Take care and hope to hear from everyone soon. WE ARE SO LONELY AROUND HERE WITHOUT YOU!!!

Sassy, Sharon

LOL, yes please stop with the birthdays!!!! Don't want em, don't need em!

Ah, the joys of motherhood. Its been like **** here the last few days. A week ago, the mother of my 13 year olds best friend informed me that her daughter had lice.....well she said "nits". Of course I didn't get it at first. Its been many years since I've faced those buggers with my oldest daughter who was then in the first grade. So my husband and I thoroughly checked her hair (our 13 year old) for lice and nits and we didn't find anything. We thought we were in the clear.........................that didn't happen. Last night I decided to check her again before going over to the friends house and her hair was just covered in tiny nits. We did the nasty over the counter cream stuff and pulled out both bugs and nits for 3 hours last night. Then we washed everything we could and checked our little ones also (and washed them too). My daughter has really long thick hair. This morning was spent combing out more nits, they are so tiny its hard to see. Tonite I am having her put vinegar on her hair for an hour or so and then some conditioner and we are going another round with a metal comb. Hopefully this will finally get them all out. Did I mention I hate bugs???

On the bright side, I've been way to disgusted to eat much!!

I'll write more in a day or so when the bug storm ends.......yuck!

Default Oh Tami, I can relate!

Yep been there done that. I remember when we lived in Michigan and all 4 of my kids got them. The girls were in school, but the boys were still in diapers. I felt so darn bad, like crying bad. I knew I wasn't a filthy person, but they still got them anyways and passed them right down the line. I guess those little buggers just can jump from one head to another if the kids get around each other. It was so much work, but had to be done, I think I even treated my hair, just in case. But thank goodness it is the summer cause I think they send one of my daughters home, the nurse that is. I am so glad that is all behind me, but I still have not so nice memories of all the work it took, to get rid of them. So don't worry, one day you will be like me and it will be just a distant memory. It happens and it is not fun. Let us know how things fare for you, and I hope the little buggers go away soon.

Hi everyone,

It's been a busy week or so here. And HOT!!! Did I mention it was hot? Plus it's a good 15 or 20 degrees warmer at work than it is outside. Makes for lovely days at work. Should just save the water I use in the shower and bring a bar of soap to work. lol. Anyway, the benefit to the heat is I drink water. When I get extremly hot and thirsty, ice cold water is the only thing that sounds good. And of course, I don't like to eat much, and don't have much of an appitite. All works out in the long run I guess.

I had an appt. with the podiatrist today for my foot. It's bothering me again since going back to work. Not as bad as before, but it hurts by the end of the day. Anyway, did w-rays and unltrasound, and he explained why it hurts, and then he said "I'm going to put some medicine in your foot that will make it better." I said "in? as in needle?" and he said yes. Let me tell you I freaked. I was soooo close to tears, and felt so panicky. I used to have a very bad phobia of needles, but over the years with blood tests, allergy shots, IVs, etc, thought I was over it. I guess not!! I was so embarrassed after all that. But the good news is-no needle (yet). The medication would greatly improve the time frame on healing the problem, but I can't handle it right now. I go back in two weeks for a follow up of the medication (pill form ) he wants me to take, so maybe I can psych myself up and get the shot.

Today, at the doctors office was the first time I really missed my husband. I didn't realize how much I relied on him for support like that. Well, I will have to get a friend to go with me, or learn to handle it myself (definatly can't take Mom as she is worse than I was today). It would have to be better than this pain. At least that is what I'm going to keep telling myself..... I'm such a baby, it's embarrassing. I acted like I was 6 instead of 36. The only worse fear I have is of spiders. Maybe if the doctor shows me a spider, I can panic from that, and he can shoot me with the needle and I won't realize it. Think it will work??

Sharon-Happy belated birthday. I wanted so much to send you a card, e-card, or something that day, but it got way to hectic.

Tammi- Lice isn't fun, and I don't envy you! So far, my daughter hasn't come home with that yet, but the day is coming. My brother and I got it, and scabies too, when we were in elementary school. Some boy in his class had both, and the parents never treated it the way it was supposed to be treated, so it (the lice part) turned into a year long struggle to keep them gone. That was back when all the stuff was prescription only. Oh so much fun! We were so miserable, and that stuff stunk! I can sympathy with your daughter, as my hair was very long and thick then. Good luck with it!

CJ-Good luck w/the tile. Haven't tried anything like that yet. Think I will stick w/my carpet as I'm a chicken to do something like that. Bet it's looking good! Have Fun!! lol

Gonna go and get some sleep. Another long, hot day ahead of me tomorrow.

So far a better day! The little nitty things appear to be gone, I'll keep checking her and re apply the stinky stuff in 7 days or so to be sure.

KimV- I hope your foot gets to feeling better. I understand the fear of needles. I do well with doctors but don't send me to the dentist, I freak out big time there. As for hot weather, I hate it!! We have been running two air conditioners full time for days on end now. I can't wait for fall.................well I like fall because school starts (ok, so it starts in mid summer now, LOL, August 16th) and its the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. I love Christmas!! I need to lose atleast another 30 pounds before I begin with the baking.

Sharon- LOL, memories! On one hand I can't wait for all this to be a memory but then on the other hand................I'll just be alot older, LOL

My 23 year old daughter (well almost next month) thinks she has found a house she and her fiance want to buy. Its a cute little house, bigger than ours (we aren't into fancy digs and cars here) but its on the south side of Fort Wayne near the airport and I'm not too keen on that. We live northeast and I guess I was hoping she would move a bit closer to us. Selfish me, I'll just have to get over it one day. I hope she gets the house as I have lots of decorating ideas..........bet she can't wait, eh. I think I watch way too much HGTV and TLC.

Well gotta go, I'm in the middle to highlighting my little bug headed teenagers hair right now. She wants to be blonder like her mother..........LOL, and my hair is natually blonde. NOT!! Have a great day and see ya all later

Oops forgot to add. I bought a little MP3 player online today. Its a cute little pink Mobiblu cube. I haven't decided when to tell my husband......he said I could use his iPod when he is home, but I might want to walk when my son goes to Kindergarden and he will be at work. Oh well, if he's gonna yell, he's gonna yell and there is just nothing I can do about it but shut my ears tightly and it will soon pass, LOL

It's been a while. I know. I was too busy feeling sorry for myself and gaining weight. But I'm back. I can do this. I know I can but sometimes it just seems impossible.

Hi everyone .. sorry I haven't been around much but I'm here now. I've been sorta in a funk this last week .. I've really been a grouch - hard to live with - poor hubby! I don't really know exactly why ... lots of little things I guess - nothing big. Anyway, I'm working myself out of this nasty funk - slowly but surely!

Nothing great to report diet wise .. I have been staying about the same - time to get really strick now - pull in the reins and get SERIOUS!! I've just been maintaining but I NOW WANT TO LOSE!

Sharon:
You are doing great on your program! Keep up the good work ... Sounds like you have a lot of fun on your birthday ... too funny about the cake.

Tami:
4 lbs! WOW ... you go girl! Good job! I better get going - you guys are gonna pass me by! So sorry to hear about your lice problem tho! Like Sharon - been there, done that! NOT FUN!!! I feel for you. Hope things are back to normal now.

Kim:
I sure hope your foot is feeling better ... then you won't need the nasty shots right? Sorry about the heat, but glad to hear you drinking lots of water! It's good for you!

Well, we are going downstate tomorrow - one more grad party to attend. Not looking forward to the drive down tho .. we are going to stay overnite at Frankenmuth instead of driving back up here in one day ... we'll come back Sunday. That's 4 hours down and 4 hours back in one days time! We got our tile floor all done and new area carpets down - looks marvelous!

Well ... I don't think I will be taking my laptop with me so won't be back on until late Sunday nite or Monday so have a great weekend everyone!

Later...
Love, CJ

Don't worry about going off your diet - just as long as you pick yourself up and keep on trying! We have to keep trying and one of these times we'll do it! I have to get more serious and try harder also - WE CAN DO THIS!!!!! Glad to see you back and don't stay away so long next time!

SLYVIA AND SHERRY:
WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU TWO ANYWAY! WE MISS YOU!!! YES, I'M YELLING - HOPE YOU HEAR ME AND GET IN HERE - BOTH OF YOU!

Have a great weekend ...
