Chicky - Good luck on getting the job! Tomorrow is my actual weigh in day, but as of this morning I am down 1.4 lbs! I can't believe it is finally going down again. Hopefully it didn't just find another weight to sit at. |
Brandi-woohoo for you! hope those pounds stay off for your weigh in day.
I am surprisingly down to 228. It's only 1 pound but hey, I'll take anything I can get now. Especially since I haven't been working hard. I was just looking at what my goal is. Wow, I don't think I'll be hitting this one. LOL Here's to 18 pounds in 2 weeks!!!! |

Chicky- I hope you get the job that you want! *crosses fingers for ya* Brandi- YAY!! for the 1.4 lbs down!! Im sure the weight will start melting off now girl!! Rosario- I might have to re-adjust my goals. I was aiming for 2 lbs a week *wishful thinking* and im only averaging a lb when I do lose. Oh well! |

Rosario - After gaining, losing a pound is awesome. Well I hit 213.5 last week. But due to how much I lost last week I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't lose any more until the weekend before MD or a few days after. I hope I can because that weekend I'm suppose to see a friend I haven't seen since I was 250 and I want to make the loss as dramatic as possible. |

Is this an exclusive club or can I join the challenge for Memorial Day too? Would love to lose 10 lbs or at least try to! I started a new diet last week and am down 5 lbs!!! (I'm sure it's mostly water weight but who cares!!!) Good luck to you all!!! |
LOL! You are more than welcome to join! There's only two weeks left in this challenge though but Ro has a June 10th challenge going and I'm starting a June 18/19 challenge. You can join those too if you want. :)

Randee-I wanted to adjust my goal too but I can't keep doing that every challenge. I say we just leave our original goals and try our hardest. At least we can say that we tried!!!
Chicky-where did you want to be at when you see your friend? I think 37 pounds is a very dramatic weight loss. Shari-sometimes I do that too just to make sure that I am down (lately, that hasn't been the case) keep it up! Welcome Buffy!! There's only 2 weeks left but try to get the most out of them!! |

Hey everyone - I don't think I am going to make my goal (5.4 lbs in 2 weeks), but I am sure going to try to take a chunk out of it.
My goal for this week is to stay at the minimum of extra points. |

Rosario - I'm hoping for at least the single digits, i.e. 209. Really, I'd like to hit my mini goal, but two weeks isn't enough for that. Most people around me say that they notice a big difference, but this weekend I saw another friend I haven't seen since 250 and she said that she really didn't notice. But then again, she's a size 2, maybe big is just big to her. So I want to lose as much as I can so that the loss can't be doubted. |
Hey all! I weighed in and im down 1 lb FINALLY! I was about to cry if I didnt get out of 233! I thought I was going to stay there foreva!!!!!!

Well girls, I have some bad news. After my weight going down all week, it went back up and gained .2 of a lb today. So I'm at 177.4 lbs. I'm really depressed about this. I've been counting calories for 18 weeks now. 10 of those have been in a plateau. In those 10 weeks I have tried every piece of advice that I've read about. NOTHING has worked. I really am starting to think that I will never be thinner than this. Right now I have no will power to do anything and have been crying all morning.
To those who are losing no matter how much you are... concider yourself lucky. I wish I was losing. Sorry to bring anyone down. This wasn't my intention. Congrats to those that are losing. I wish everyone more luck than me. |

Don't give up! Plateau's are normal when you are dieting! Just continue what you are doing -- it'll come off! Do you keep a journal on your dieting? Maybe it's just something simple that is hindering those last stubborn lbs. You've lost a lot of weight so far and I look to you at what I would like to achieve! Just don't give up, don't feel down! I know it's really hard sometimes, I feel terrible on some days but try to thing of a good thought and get those blues off your mind. :hug: :hug: :hug: |
Brandi- I'm there with ya :hug: The scale isn't moving for me either...thankful for no gain either though. I think my problem is I've been sick so much going from eating nothing to normal calories. We can do this ...the scale will move :hug:

Hey ladies, I just got back from my WI....it wasn't pretty. Let me preface this by saying that I sprained my ankle and was out of commission as far as regular exercise for a week and a half. My eating was off too. Then yesterday my dad who's been ill had to be hospitalized so my head is not exactly in the game of strict portion control and points counting. So to make a long story short, I had a gain of 1.8 lbs, putting me at 188.8 today. :( I am disappointed at my progress or lack thereof, but with everything that's been happening in my life, I am pretty happy that it was ONLY 1.8 lbs, know what I mean? Anyway, I'm not out of the game yet. There's still 2 weeks left, right? :running:

Brandi, please don't get depressed. You've done so well! Aren't you losing in inches? That's something. I've heard of people have plateaus for months but they still lost inches. It'll be over soon. :hug: Noelle, considering all you're going through right now, gaining only 1.8 lbs is a GOOD thing! :) |
I'm happy to say I'm down 1.6 this week which puts me at 166.2...I haven't even exercised but one in almost 2 weeks...maybe my body needed the break...I don't think I'll make my goal either but I hope I come close anyway...

Shari - I actually gained inches this week. Normally I had been losing inches.
Anyway I had a good cry yesterday, emailed my nutritionist to see if maybe my eating is off, and had a good kick in the butt from hubby. I'm still waiting for my nutritionist to email me back. And I've decided to buy some workout tapes from Beachbody. They aren't cheap, but the progress pics on their member boards are pretty impressive. No one really puts up how much weight they lose, but the inches are incredible. I'm impressed enough to spend $60 on them. I'm not giving up. I just had a really really bad day yesterday. It's so very frustrating, but I can't go back to the way I used to be. That isn't an option. Thanks everyone for the support. It seems I've needed alot lately. I haven't been very good at giving support unfortunately and I appologize for that. Keep up the great work everyone! |

I actually bought those dvd workouts a few months ago. Is it the beach booty workout? I can't remember the exact name for some reason! BUT, they are great! I love fun workouts and this is definitely a good one to do at home. I haven't weighed myself for a few days -- I keep getting scared to go onto the scale and see what it says. I am feeling good though and have lots more energy. I'm going to weigh in on Friday and see what it says. I'd love to lose at least another 5 lbs but maybe I'm dreaming. I hope you all have a wonderful day! |
This Week Hasn't Been So Good, But Today Has Been Awesome So Far. I'm Going On A Trip In A Couple Of Weeks So I Want To Drop A Couple Of Pounds Before I Go. Ah, New Motivation. I Love It!!!!

Shari-I'm going June 2-4. Just for the weekend. And I'll be in LA. Have you been before? I love it and miss it there. But I'm so glad I get to go. My friend is having a grad party and I haven't seen my friends since Sept. I kind of wanted to be smaller by then but oh well. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Hey there! I did it! And a week early! So I upped my goal to 15 lbs.
Today is day 11 of the Atkins diet. I love the diet. I've worked out almost every day that I've been on the diet even if it was a 30 minute brisk walk. It could be technically my 18th day of the diet but I blew the first weekend so I had to restart. I have to say I'm feeling really great. I will be so excited if I reach the 15 lbs goal but am not going to be too upset if I don't. My birthday is in 2 weeks. Maybe I should reset my goal date to that. :D I hope you are all doing good -- I love being able to come here and share the good news with people that can actually relate! |

I'm not doing so hot. I've TOTALLY screwed up the past couple of days. I wouldn't be surprised if I gained come Monday. But the weird thing is, though I'm sure I've gained, my clothes are looser. My jeans are riding my *** now rather than my waist like originally. Maybe I'm losing inches? I don't take measurements so I don't know. I was hanging with some of my friends tonight and we went to Brookwood Mall. We went into the Hot Topic (a store that I LOVE but have never brought anything from) and all I could think about was that I didn't have any 'goal' clothes. You know, those clothes that tell you that you've reached your goal or made progress when you can fit them? So I grabbed two absolute kickass tank tops in size small along with some jewelry and put them on layaway. They will be my ultimate goal clothes. :) Hope everyone has a great weekend. |
211! Another pound and a half down. Yea! I'm right on track. One week left and only two more pounds to go.
Sorry to post yet again about my loss, but I'm really happy. Shari - losing inches is just as good as weight loss if not better. The clothing is a good idea. Everytime I get into a smaller size I buy something even smaller to work my way into and before I know it i'm wearing it. |

Well, can't believe it, but 210.5 this morning. Upping my calories is really working. :) And I went shopping for clothes for my new job, and right now the only stores I can go to for those (office clothes) are still the plus sized stores, but I was down to a 16 pant at Lane Bryant, and some of the 14/16 shirts (their smallest size) were too big! 5 Months ago I was a 24 pant and 22/24 shirt. Edit: Today I went to Macys Woman and fit into a 14w and then I went to the regular Macys and fit into a regular 16 pant! Not every 16 top, skirt, or pant fit though, most didn't, but I'm close. Sizes are so tricky, but I can't wait until I can shop in all the regular stores. |
Lorra and Donna ~ I don't think I'm gonna make my goal either. I actually think I've gained. But that's my bad.
