 Hi Susan ~~ Well I think your the BEST and most WONDERFUL mom there is!!! You are always trying to make things better for your daughters, and you just keep firghting for them. I really admire you for that! I feel so bad for you for what happened today, and I can only imagine how stressed and down you are.:( You're lucky you still have sweet Gaby to keep you sane and have someone to spend quality time with. I haven't been coming here much anymore, because I didn't really feel wanted, but then I read you were asking where I was, so I wanted to check in with you. I hope you can still get some peace and enjoy your weekend. My husband and I went over to Beaverton today, and I was thinking of you. Have a good evening and try to relax and have some Susan time!

Mom2Gaby 05-13-2006 09:12 PM

...argh. You will make me cry Michelle!! I am sorry if you didn't feel wanted.......wait I need kleenex.....:( that is horrible, I am sorry. Of course you are wanted and I wondered and missed you yesterday!! It was nice to see you post today and be so sweet.
I don't feel like a good mother at all. I feel so bad. The store kept saying "she will be cited" blah - blah. I thought "ok, can deal with that"....but when the police finally showed up and read them their rights, questioned them and said "you are going to be arrested and we will release you into your parents custody"....I could have puked......having him say thay made me so sick. I just want her to learn from this and ........ugh , mind!!! lol Can't they just do as I say??
No more wire hangers!!! Wasn't Joan Crawford a wonderful mother??
Sorry - getting sidetracked........

Anyway, she is grounded to her bedroom with books ad her journal. That is all she is doing for awhile.
Gaby is so sweet. She was crying over her pet rat George dying. George was old , it was time. Gaby bawled though. We said a prayer and she tossed a rose on his grave. She cried "I love George"....so sad.....lol

ugh........have I cracked??? I think I have.:dizzy:

I am sitting here waiting for Rach to call from rehab...lol......a kid crying over a rat and the other with a juvie record.....cool.....:D

You are wanted Michelle!!!!   :dizzy::D

Michelle 05-13-2006 09:27 PM

Thank you Susan ~~ You have such a GREAT sense of humor! I probably would have trashed everything me now, just kidding! Sometimes I can let things go out the other ear, but other times I will just scream! What did Rebecca have to say when you got her home about this whole ordeal, and about her grounding? You already have one child to deal with her problems and trying to get on rack, doesn't your other daughter understand or even care what you're going through?:?: Thank you for your kind comments; I guess I've just been really down lately and taking EVERYTHING the wrong ways! I hope the rest of your day does go better!

chickiemama67 05-13-2006 11:46 PM

Happy Mother's Day Y'all

Wow Susan, you have quite the drama going on.......you should write a book. I respect you for letting the police do what they need to do. So many times kids do things wrong and their parents get in the way of what needs to be done. Hopefully she will learn a lesson from this. I haven't quite caught up on everything going on with you but I can tell you are a strong woman and a great Mom. Sometimes I think we point the blame on ourselves for how are kids are acting. But then I think to myself, you can not control another person actions. No matter how hard we try they are there own person and have to make their own decisions, whether they are good or bad ones. I saw a t-shirt one time that said, "You Have to Be Young and Stupid, To Be Old and Wise. Not sure if you have heard that one, but it is so true!!!
To everyone else, I hope you're having a good weekend. I had to work open to close yesterday, and worked day shift today, so I haven't had the chance to post and figure out who everyone is yet, but it is just nice to know that somebody is listening. So we have weigh in on Monday........I better not eat the chocolate cake I made for my Mom for Mother's Day then....rofl!! :dizzy:
Ok, it's late and I'm getting loopy. Good Night

Dahlia 05-14-2006 08:38 AM

Good morning ladies,:coffee:

First of all Happy Mother's Day to everyone. :balloons:

Susan, you are a terrific mom. It is not your fault what the kids are doing. Everyone is born their own person. Your girls are just not using their heads right now. They are not thinking about their actions in regards to others. I am not excusing them, they are wrong but they are also very young and inexperienced. But I have to admit by the time they get any older, they will certainly have had experiences..:dizzy: We can only do so much with them.. the rest is up to them how they use it. Good luck with both girls.:goodluck: Hang in there and stay strong. You will all get thru this.. it is just another chapter in the life of Susan..

Michelle, :sorry: sorry you don't feel wanted. It has to be because you are feeling depressed.. because you are very much wanted around here. I know how you feel, I had the same feelings earlier on at the other place. But these ladies made me feel a part of the group. I hope you will feel that way too.:grouphug:

Where is Jules, Christina, Deb, Shawana, Laura, Katy and anybody else these days. Chickimama, I am having a senior moment this morning, what is your given name?

It is raining yet again:rain: . Saw the weather map on tv this moring. The whole midwest is rain rain rain.. but Minnesota is drying out, so we have hope. I wouldn't mind the rain but it's so darn cold too. When it's so cold and damp at work I don't feel like drinking water. But I can see the difference on the scale. It is not being nice again today. Also I had a kaiser roll last night with my stew. I was so hungry.. I guess I was right I just can't eat bread.

Susan.. you mix your tuna with cottage cheese.. *eeewwww*. I like them both but not mixed together.. I just eat the tuna like it is or those flavored ones..isn't it funny how people eat so differently?

Well, will check in this evening to see what everyone did for Mothers Day. DH is taking me to supper. I have to be good and eat healthy. He left for his mom's already, but the dummy bought this beautiful card for her, but he left it home... men are so forgetful.

Ok. going to go eat now. My 30 min wait after taking my actonel is over. I am starving. I already rode my 5 miles today.:ebike: Not going to church this morning. I get to depressed going by myself all the time. Especially today I don't want to see all the families there. So I'll stay home and keep warm, dry and relax a bit before I go into work at 11:30.

Have a good one .:cheer:

Ginny:carrot:

chickiemama67 05-14-2006 11:01 AM

good morning

Good morning everybody as I'm sipping on my protein shake, vanilla with banana and orange juice.....yummy.
Dahlia, my given name is Shawna, thanks for asking....I didnt go to church this morning either.....:( I'm starting to get a daggum cold I think and didnt wake up until 9:45 ............my Mom and Sister are coming over at 1 for lunch, We're having grilled chicken breast, corn on the cob and salad. have any of you tried the fleischmans olive oil, no trans fats butter? it is really good!! I don't eat alot of butter or margarine anyway, but you just have to have butter on a dinner roll or corn on the cob so I thought I would give it a try. I need to go get my work out in this morning before they get here. I have to go in to my store tonight at 5, they are cleaning our floors, who knows how long thats going to take.....:chin: so I will be taking my lap top with me to entertain myself :dancer: hopefully I will be home in time to watch Grey's Anatomy, I am so addicted to that show, I have the shows song as my ring tone on my cell phone and a picture of McDreamy, (Patrick Dempsey) on my screen saver on my phone.:dizzy:, and my desktop on my lap top is the whole cast.......:D. What a goof ball I am!!! I've even got my husband watching it ....:p Well, off to the gym I go, leg work out and cardio:woops:
Be back later,
Shawna

Michelle 05-14-2006 11:39 AM

Ginny ~~ Thank you for your kind and caring words. You are probably so right that I was feeling very down with the rut I've been in for awhile. I am feeling much better now and it feels good again.:carrot: Today I'm cooking the Mother's Day dinner, and my grandma is visiting here from Iowa, so she will be coming over, along with my mom, oldest daughter and her husband. I'm baking a ham, scalloped potatoes and the makings. I hope you have a very wonderful Mother's Day!

Shawna ~~ Glad you're enjoying your protein shake, and got to sleep in this morning. We all need that and mine was yesterday; couldn't wake up for anything, just jept dozing off all day long.:?: I use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray on everything. Even my DH, who is addicted to butter on EVERYTHING, tried it and has been using it a lot.:D

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and I'll check back later on...:grouphug:

chickiemama67 05-14-2006 01:18 PM

Hey Michelle,
I was born in Ft. Madison Iowa, where is your grandma from? I just got home from working out, and my Mom and Sister are here. My sister made a picture cd for my Mom for Mother's day of pictures from when we were young. OMG! OK, I need to jump in the shower real quick......and visit with my Mommy.
Hugs,
Shawna

Michelle 05-14-2006 01:40 PM

Shawna ~~ I was born in Anamosa, Iowa and almost all of my family still live there. I was just back there last summer for a 6 week visit. I have family in: Anamosa, Viola, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Manchester, Greene and Elkader. I think that's all of them, but my grandma lives in Greene. Have a fun day with your mom!

Michelle 05-14-2006 03:55 PM

Michelle- Love the Minnie Mouse avater!!! So cute.
Ginny- The tuna and cottage cheese are on the same plate. I don't really mix it - plus the beets and salsa!!! lol.....yummy!!!
Shawna - hey!!!! your grilled chicken sounds so good!!
Hope you all had a good Mothers Day :)
Hi to Jules, Cristi ,Deb,Katy and Laura!!! Come on Kathy - would love for you to join us too!!

I did the 7-11 diet today. Stress?? who knows but I had a slurpee and 1/4 lb hot dog. Just upset all day.
Saw Rachel and she seemed happy. - while everyone else is struggles...lol

I need to go get nylons and get ready for work tomorrow. Weigh in day in the morning!!!! yay.....

Michelle 05-14-2006 08:48 PM

I was wondering if any of you have subscribed to the ad free subscription here on this site? I signed up yesterday for a one week trial for $1, and I really do love it! Once you have signed on, there are NO advertisements anywhere, and the screen is so much larger from left to right. I'm thinking of subscribing again when the week runs out.:dizzy:

luckycharm 05-14-2006 10:07 PM

Hi everyone

Hope everyone had a wonderful day today. I love it when the kids are little and they make you a present, and then they are just so darn excited to give it to you.

Susan I am so glad that Rachel is happy today, so that you don't have to deal with 2 unhappy girls today. I am hoping also that Rachel is learning some stuff while she is there, and this is the start of her happy trend.
Ok hot dog and slurpee?? Guess what you are going to have to have for breakfast with me.... Good old fashioned Oatmeal. Then put a splash of honey, a dash of cinnamon and cut up a banana, a little milk. Then yes, you see how long I have been thinking of you, I still can still eat mine with a fork. Yes everyone our dear Susan got me hooked on Oatmeal for breakfast.

Michelle, I haven't signed up for any add blockers or anything. But all of these ads on the side of my screen will not be here if I do? How did your mothers day dinner go? How many kids do you have? I was thinking it was 2 daughters?

Shawna how did your visit go with your family? Hope all was good.

Ginny way to go on the 5 mile bike ride. Hope you get some bright sunshiny warm weather tomorrow.

Cristi I hope that you and DH had a nice day together today. Then I hope that you got to relax a little today also. It was probably a busy weekend for you.

Sorry if I forgot anyone, I didn't mean to.

Had an interesting visit from my neighbor last night. About 10:30 just as I was getting ready to go pick up DS from work, my neighbor that I had only met once before knocked on our door, and told me that Lily my dog was over at her house and had chased her cat up a tree. I looked at her with what must have been a really stupid look on my face and said ???Lily???? I don't have a dog named Lily. She said yes you do you know your dog LILY. I said really I don't have a dog named Lily.. Then I said do you mean the stray black and white dog that my DD brought home that doesn't have a name? She said yes Lily. I went over to her house (A few miles down the road) and picked up Lily. (Now if only I could figure out who named the dog.)

Chat with you all later.
Kathy

Dahlia 05-14-2006 10:27 PM

Good evening all,

Michelle, I love the Minnie Mouse avatar too.Glad you are feeling better and hope you enjoyed with time with your grandma. I also got a real laugh from one of your post. You said I use I can't believe it's not butter spray on everything. Even my dh..... I didn't pause at the period.. cracked me up..

Susan, ok I see now. I thought you mixed your tuna with the cottage cheese..:stir: I like all those things too. I also like to alternate slices of cukes and tomatoes.. Isn't that the way it is.. when 1 person is happy or in a good mood:D , the other one isnt'.:stress:

Shawna, so you are chickimama ...ok glad to know that... you can call me Ginny. What kind of store do you have? Do you own it or just work there?

Michelle, I don't know what you are talking about, an ad free screen...where did you find this?

Well, today was busy but not as busy as yesterday. The rain actually stopped for a short spell and the sun tried real hard to come out:sunny: . I do believe it is warming up a little. Getting foggy out, good sign. DH took me to a road side restaurant. Really good food. They have the best pate' and cheese spread there. It comes with the dinners. I had a pork chop. Only ate half of it, will have the rest tomorrow. I have decided I am going to weigh myself only 3 days a week instead of everyday. Take some of the stress off. I have to remind myself this is a new way of eating and living.. it's not a race and I have no real deadline... my goal is a healthier me, the weight loss is really second in importance. It will come with the right food choices and exercise.

Well, I had a good Mother's day, hope you all did too. I heard from all my boys and even my goddaughter. Well, one of them. Every one who came in today enjoyed the cookies:cookie: :cookie: :cookie: I put out, and everyone was wishing everyone a happy md and it was all very cheery.

I am off to bed now. I am tired. It's been a long but good day. Check in tomorrow, good night to all.:tired:

Ginny:carrot: :grouphug:

Dahlia 05-14-2006 10:32 PM

Kathy, we were posting at the same time.. I love oatmeal. I eat mine thick too.. love it.. don't even put milk on it.. just a little splenda unless it's the instant kind, then just as.. love the kind with strawberries, or peaches in it. I eat the lower sugar kind. That is funny about the dog. Are you going to keep the name Lily?

Off again.
Ginny

chickiemama67 05-14-2006 10:41 PM

good evening

Ginny, I am a manager of a shoe store called Rack Room Shoes.
Lucky, the visit with my mom and sister was good....of course had to get the guilt trip for not going to visit my mom enough.
What time are we suppose to weigh in???? I am working in the morning but plan on going to work out early.....somebody let me know please.

Good night,
Shawna

Michelle 05-14-2006 10:56 PM

Kathy ~~ LOVE your picture...very cute! I have eaten oatmeal every day for breakfast now for over a year, just plain with skim milk and I love it! My cholesterol even lowered from 239 down to 214. I'm hoping it lowers more as I lose more weight.:dizzy:

Ginny & Kathy ~~ The add free subscription option is like the second item from the bottom on the left where you can edit options, sig, profile, etc. If you click on it, it gives you 3 different options to pick from. I chose the bottom one for a 1 week trial for $1 to my credit card. When you sign back in, there is not one single add anywhere on your screen. It's so much quieter and the screen is so large from the left to the right. The adds will be there when you first bring up the 3FC site, but once you sign in, none at all, it's really great!

Michelle 05-14-2006 10:58 PM

Ginny ~~ Oh yah, you thought I even use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray on my DH LOL!!! I read it over and I did have a laugh too.:p

chickiemama67 05-14-2006 11:00 PM

question

what is dh????

Michelle 05-14-2006 11:02 PM

Shawna ~~ You just weigh in any time you want and then just come here tomorrow and post it. I think I was first last week, but I'm always on here in the mornings. There is no set time. I weighed in and changed my weight on Friday, so I won't be weighing again tomorrow, but I will again next Monday. I think I gained some weight back today from eating out for chinese food and also getting a snack tonight...great! I'm starting back on track tomorrow morning so I hope to have a new lower weight to report next Monday. Glad you had a nice day with your mom. Have a good evening.

Michelle 05-14-2006 11:03 PM

Shawna ~~ I posted at the same time as you. DH is dear husband or darn husband.

chickiemama67 05-14-2006 11:05 PM

awwww

i figured it was husband something but couldnt figure out the d part ...thanks
ok grey's anatomy is over and i gotta get in the shower....night yall

Michelle 05-14-2006 11:18 PM

Night Shawna...talk with ya tomorrow:hug:

Dahlia 05-15-2006 08:06 AM

Good morning ladies,:coffee:

Michelle, I don't have any ads on my screen anyway. There is one small strip at the very top, but once I start to scroll down all I have is the forum. It fills my screen. And I don't pay anything.

After eating out last night I was going to wait to get on the scale thinking I didn't want to see what it said. But my curiosity got the better of me so I stepped on it this morning.. no change.. so that was great...I am holding. So I just continue on my way.:D

Susan, do you eat the same lunch every single day. You need some variety girl. Switch off occasionally so you don't get burned out on one thing. How are the girls doing? What does Rebecca say about her little escapade. Does she have remorse for her actions?

Michelle, 21 pounds gone already..:bravo: :cp: :cp: good going. How long have you been doing this? I'm down 13 but got a lot more to go. I have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this, and not get to upset if I yoyo a pound or two sometimes. I want to be down for my ds's wedding in Aug. but my main goal is to be healthier and feel better.

We are not getting many posts on here. Where is everyone?:listen: :mag: Have they desserted us for the other threads? People we need posts to read. Come on, lay on some written verbage here.:drill:

Ok, well guess I'll go do some household chores till it's time to go to work. I am working the center myself today. It finally stopped raining. The sun is out and it promises to be a nice day. Hope the plants dry up some today. They have been so wet the last couple days we had to separate as much as we could yesteray to give them some air. Glad when they are all gone to a new home. Then I can concentrate on the wedding, and meeting my newest grandson..:bb: . can you imagine he is almost 6 wks old and I haven't even held him yet... they live to far away..

ok. well have a good day all, check back in tonight.:cheer:

Ginny:carrot:

Dahlia 05-15-2006 08:13 AM

I deleted my attempt for a miles tracker..since I asked for a moderators help over a week ago and have had no response.. guess I'll just dump it.

ok, going now, have a good one.

Ginny.

jules1216 05-15-2006 08:20 AM

Good Morning--sorry I was MIA over the weekend--I just was not feeling well. Very headachey--on the verge of a migrane but never got one. I gotta get started on my work, but wanted to stop in really quick and say "Hi!!" I haven't weighed yet this morning--but I haven't weighed yet today--but I did get measured at the gym and I have lost an inch on all three measurements (Chest-waist-hips)
I will be back to after my Slim-N-Tone workout and before the Grey's Anatomy finale starts (Shawna--can you believe what Izzy did!! and Burke!!!oh my!!)

The Fenix 05-15-2006 08:45 AM

The ball is rolling

Hi everyone!!! I missed you all and I hope you all had a great Mother's Day and weekend. I am feeling great today... I have a loss to report!:carrot:
Last Monday 5/8 239lbs (was a 3lbs gain from the week b4 :( )
Today 5/15 232 lbs :dust:
WOO HOO!!! I DID IT!! :cb: It was a lot of hard work and Tons of hours spent at the gym but I did it and I hope my loss continues!!:strong: :woops:
Have a great day ladies, I'll try to check back with you all later today.
Deb :goodluck:

jules1216 05-15-2006 09:19 AM

Real quick----lost my two stress pounds so I am back at a big fat "0" loss!! :(

RosieKate 05-15-2006 10:50 AM

Sorry - busy weekend, but I'm back now and hanging my head in shame....up to 185 :( I was really kicking myself last night, but I got a good workout in this morning and I am just going to focus on taking this one day at a time. I think I'll get a mini-goal tracker up and running sometime today. Clearly having to change my exercise threw me off. I've had some minor stress and I hate it when I respond to emotionally stressful events but throwing my healthy habits out the window. I get real mad at myself for that.... why do I do it...I'm only hurting myself when I do that.

We had some excitement on Saturday - a swarm of honeybees chose our yard for their new home. There were thousands swarming our backyard for about a half hour. Then the queen apparently found a spot she liked in our privet hedge and within the hour they all clumped around her and began to make a hive. It was a trip. We found a bee keeper who came out and removed the bees. He had on the suit and everything. He just kept scooping them into his little bee box. Once the queen was in there, he put the lid on and told us he would be back that night to pick it up. that would give the rest of the bees time to find their new home. Sure enough, the next morning, they were all gone.

Jules wtg on losing the stress pound...hopefully I will be following you excellent example next week. Grey's had me buzzing way past my bedtime last night. Wanted to slap Denny upside the head... But I still got up at 5 to hit the gym.. Now what to do about the finale tonight.....I've got a 6am yoga class tomorrow - ugh

Michelle - what can I say:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: today is a three carrot day for you! Keep up the great work! I'm too cheap to pay for the ad-free..but it sounds like a good deal. My IE had a pretty good pop-up blocker that gets rid of most of them . I always get the same two everytime I log on, once I close them that's all I have to deal with.

Shawna - DH ....d---head - use your imagination, lol! Somedays he's a dear husband, some days the other one

Ginny - I started drooling when you described your pate and cheese spread -ugh that sounded so good. Sorry the miles tracker thingy didn't work. Maybe you could post your weekly mile total on weigh-in Monday? just a thought. I may try the map idea I mentioned earlier. I've been ordered by the chiro to stick to biking and swimming, so I rode 10 miles on the recumbent bike this morning. If I do that 3-4 times a week, maybe I'll make it to your house sometime in the next decade.

Susan- I see your slurpee and hot dog and raise you pizza and beer :dizzy: I love Mother's day. This was my family's idea of fixing dinner for Mom - I didn't complain....

Kathy - great to see you here - Lily's a sweet name for a dog...it will be interesting to find out how she got the name.

Michelle 05-15-2006 12:50 PM

Ginny ~~ I now have ads when I first come to this site, but once I sign on, nothing anymore. When I don't have ad free on my account, I also have a strip across the top and down the right side, and sometimes one comes across the middle of the screen.:dizzy: I first started trying to lose weight back in September 2004, and at this time last year, I had lost 40 pounds. Now I have gained most of it back, and now I'm up 4 pounds today from all of the eating out for the past three days! I'm starting back on track today and tracking every single thing I eat and drink.

Deb ~~ Great job on the weight loss!:cp: :bravo:  You're doing so good staying on track and the exercise is paying off!

Katy ~~ The one ad that constantly comes up that I hate the most is the toe fungus...GROSS!:barf:

Well like I said, I put 4 pounds on since Friday, and I'm back on track. This weight is coming off once and for all!

jules1216 05-15-2006 01:05 PM

Katy--i wanted to crack Denny & Izzy's heads together--then I hoped George would be the voice of reason--I love Addison and hope Derrick comes home to an empty camper and Meredith doesn't take him back (but you know she eventually will) --Burke can't die!! With President Bush's speech preempting the two hour season finale--who know when I will get myself to bed tonight?? Good for you getting up and going to class!!

Deb--WTG on the weightloss!!!

Ginny-Hope you have lots of sunshine today!! You have probably told us--but when is the wedding?

Michelle ma belle--I hate the toe fungus ad too!!! We will both do better next weigh in!!

Cristina & Susan--Where are you!!!

Susan--I almost got a pina colada slurpee!!!! You need to have Rach & Beck watch Desparate Housewives and tell them you will soon be checking in with Bree if they don't give you a break!!

Michelle 05-15-2006 01:16 PM

Jules ~~ Thank you for your kind encouragement! Before I would have beat myself up over this weight gain, but I refuse to get back down in that funk again that I had been in. I just know that I probably have quite a bit of sodium retention right now, since we went out for chinese food yesterday, but it was SO good!

jules1216 05-15-2006 01:41 PM

Michelle--I love the new avatar!!! I am thinking I need to watch my salt intake too....I agree on the chinese food and the hidden salt.

FrouFrou 05-15-2006 01:52 PM

Hi ladies!

Busy morning...and I have to leave again but I will be back to catch up with all the reading and do individuals when I get back.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! And WI is good too!

Unfortunately my WI I am up a pound. Which I knew would happen especially with a visit from TOM and the out of control eating over the weekend! I guess I didn't do so bad since it is a pound, definitely could have been worse. But this week I plan to work harder. Doing GREAT with the water, vitamins and exercise. Walked 3 miles Fri, Sat, & Sun. Taking my free day today because yesterday was hard on me and my feet are hurting still as is my lower back. So tomorrow, It Figures and mowing the back yard!

Anyway, I'll be back in an hour or so to catch up.

RosieKate 05-15-2006 02:15 PM

Oh crud ....I mixed up names...my earlier three carrot comment was for Deb and her weight loss.

So, I realize it may have come across weird to you , Michelle. I'm sorry - I just goofed. I am glad you are back on track - as you read in my post, I also have been gaining so I can relate. You are doing a great job as well and this is just a temporary blip. I just need to tell myself that, too --- and believe it!

RosieKate 05-15-2006 02:16 PM

Hi Cristina - I'll bbl to chat

have to pick up at the preschool!

Mom2Gaby 05-15-2006 02:17 PM

Consider it a late Mother Day present Shawna:D lol ,,,,,,,yikes, I hope I don't get in trouble I stole em from somewhere else.......need I wonder where my daughter gets her thinking from?? lol
