Red face Grumble, yawn, stretch.... G'morning (mumble)

Is it morning? I'm not sure. Hey girls. I'm ON my third double shift in three days and I'm likely going to be working a day shift on my DAY OFF, but they're not forcing me and the OT money will be great with me trying to buy a house soon. But I feel like I'm still asleep and dreaming. You know, how things feel slow and not real, that dream-like quality, like swimming in pudding? Well, at least my job isn't PHYSICALLY taxing. Thing is, it's put a kink in my exercise plan. I was doing pretty good too. Oh well, I'll just have to make it up somehow. I joined a thread with a point challenge going on and looks like I'm starting out in a hole. But slow and steady wins the race, eh?

Meowee: Thanks for creating a new thread/page for us.

Robsia: Great job on resisting those Cadbury eggs. Personally, I don't know that I could have resisted. I love those things and would choose them over a cupcake any old day. I stopped for coffee yesterday morning and grabbed a Cadbury egg and a Reese egg (both unfortunately on the counter shouting to me in Italian) but I put them back and was actually talking out loud to myself. The clerk probably thought I was nuts. It's rough this time of year. Those eggs are my FAVORITE. Oh and your pics? Well, FAB-YOU-LESS! And I guess now you're FLAB-YOU-LESS!

LadyLai: I'm glad the scale is moving for you girl. It's about time, with all that hard work. Weigh to go!

I'm sorry I only caught three of you, I know there's more to comment to and more missing (anyone ever find Paula?). Once these grueling doubles and an extra single are done, I hope things will return to life as normal (though there's not much normal in MY life).

Have a great Saturday and take care of yourselves. Java Turtle reporting for duty. Oh wait, I'm already here! Turtle hugs and peace to you all.

Oh Java . . . lack of sleep should somehow count as exercise . . . at least you'll be a rich and sleepy turtle.

Default Still awake

I'm clanking my shell along and I'm managing to stay awake. I'm nearing my water goal, close to my food plan (still have a meal to eat yet) and I actually got in nearly forty minutes of "sort of exercise." Being trapped here at the office, I was limited because I'm sort of anchored to my desk, cant' stray too far or I'll not hear the radio. So I put music on and did a combination of walking ("Caged Turtle Circles"), side steps, knee lifts, kick backs and push-ups against my counter here. I was starting to sweat, (Turtle in a polyester uniform) and my thighs were DEFINITELY fatigued and barking. So, despite the circumstances, I made the effort and rose to the occaision (for once). But I just realized as I was setting reminders for myself for the time change, that I'm going to get less than FOUR hours of sleep tonight . Back up at 0500 AM to work one more day shift. What was I thinking? Oh yeah, "CHA-CHING!" (money)

Just a quick check in,

Still a little under the weather so I have not worked out but I am doing ok with the eating and logging my foods. My weight was the same this morning, so I'm not complaining. I sure will be glad when I can get back to my routine

Hope everyone has had a good Saturday!

It has been a long week. I've been totally off track...no exercise, food all jacked up. My daughter has been very sick and in a lot of pain. Come to find out her little intestines were all twisted up and she had to have a procedure done to fix it. It involved a lot of hospital time and a lot of stress. But the teababy is doing better, although I'm keeping a very close eye on her, and Monday I am back on track. I'm really going to try and up the exercise. My daughter starts school on Monday She'll go for about three hours. I want to exercise once when she's at school and once when she gets home. We'll see how that goes. I really want to get a consistant routine going and jump start my weight loss.

I have a formal to attend in two weeks and I want to feel beautiful. I won't lose much by then but when I exercise regularly and eat well, I instantly feel like a million bucks.

Hey everyone!

Having a good morning so far!!

I was down 0.9 which gives me a total of 2.2 for the week, I tried on the skirt of my size 14 suit and it fastened!!!!! It's tight and I'm afraid it would split if I actually tried to sit down in it but it fastened! The jacket still won't fasten though.

Also I have two smart blouses, the fitted kind with absolutely no give. The label says 16 but they're really tight 16s - anyway I tried them on this morning and they both fitted too!!!! So I'll be able to wear those for school when we go back after the Easter holidays!

Methinks a shopping trip is imminent . . .

teahoney - sorry to hear about your daughter. It's awful when they're in pain and there's nothing you can do! Glad she's feeling better and I'm sure she'll be fine at school. Mine started school last September and she loves it - eats it up!

Tracey - so sorry to hear your little one has been having problems. I hope they are all fixed and she is out of pain now. I am sure she will get to love school although first days are often rough especially if they are not used to being left for day care and stuff. I hope your new exercise plans work out I am sure you will be lovely at your formal.

Robsia - wow, what pictures! You look great! way to go on the NSV clothes fittings! Tell your secrets.

Lois - I am sad that you are under the weather. I will be glad when whatever is going around finishes the trip and lets everyone be well again!

Meowee - How are you doing? Thanks for the new thread!

Turtle - I like the idea of a sweaty polyester turtle working out in a pen...kinda sounds like a cartoon or something. Way to go with the improvised workouts and with earning the overtime. Take advantage while it is offered, I always say.

I managed to lose a pound so I am starting this month only 2 pounds up from my lowest this trip. Did the gym yesterday and actually made 22 minutes on the elliptical which is a personal best, I did a whole mile! So you know how slow I musta been going. But still it is a first! I got my brother to go with me and he did the pool and hot tub. We are going back sometime today. He says he has to work on his legs, they are giving him a lot of trouble. He has neuropathy. Even though he was way through before me, I still got my hour in so that was good. 22 elliptical 6 bike and the rest weight machines. Worked up a good sweat.

Other than that I have just been bidding on DVDs on ebay. Got several Johnny Depp movies coming from half.com too. Spent my free money for the month already...so it goes.

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm way behind in my personals, so hope I don't miss anyone.

Erin. So glad you have joined us! Look forward to getting to know you.

Robsia...Congrats on your weight loss!! Your pic's are fabulous!! Doesn't it feel sooooo goood to get into clothes that once fit. Even feels better to go shopping till you drop!!!

Linda... Glad your test came out OK. Ice cream and carrot muffin, YUMMY!!

Garnet...So the girlscout cookies got you too! Tricky little devils aren't they. But, I know you, you will just brush yourself off and hit the gym double time.

Lois...Wooo Hoo on your 1.5 loss. WTG!!

Paula....Come out, come out where ever you are. WE miss you!!!

Teahoney...So sorry to hear your little one is sick, hope she is feeling better soon. Sounds like you are going to busy hitting the old exercise mode.

Tina...Hey! If you are in the painting mood, come do mine. Pleeease. Good upper body workout. LOL

Java...You poor girl! All that double time and lack of sleep. You must really be dragging your shell. The light at the tunnel is that nice new house you can buy with all that extra money you are making. WTG on getting some exercise in while at work.

Well I'm happy to report the 4 pounds I gained when TOM paid me a visit, is GONE!!! Hope it never returns. Yesterday, my DH and I went to Fargo to do our monthly shopping. Had lunch at KFC and I did good. Usually it would of been a total pig fest, but with my husband help I had a samll serving of cole slaw, mashed potatoes/gravy, biscuit and chicken breast. I felt satisfied, without feeling deprived.

My DH, bought me my sewing machine I've been drooling over for almost two years. Of course it will be my birthday, mother's day, anniversary and chrisitmas gift for the next five years. LOL It's a Brother Innovis 4000D sewing/embroidery machine. Going to have to get busy and make the grandkids something, plus we have a new grandchild due is Oct, so I need to get busy and design a baby quilt.

Hope you all have a great Sunday. Hugs to you all,

Cheryl

Hi everybody . . . it's raining today and it's windy and chilly, too. Guess the sun decided to have a day off. Well I miss him.

Major HOORAYS for everyone who had an SV or an NSV since last I saw you. Keep up the great work. Major BOOHOOS for everyone whose household has a bit of a sickie going on. Hope everyone is soon feeling better.

Nothing too much going on around here but it seems to be keeping me busy. and I'd better get back to it.

Have a good rest of the weekend, gang, and keep on doing all the right stuff.

Well, a mixed sort of day today.

Started off on a good note after my SV and NSVs.

Then we went to Mum and Dad's and the day went down hill a bit as we were stuck in roadworks on the motorway for an hour and a quarter!!! It normally only takes 40 minutes to do the entire trip and it took over 2 hours altogether.

Then this evening I found out that the father of my old best friend died a week or so ago. I fell out with my friend a few years ago but I was always very fond of her dad so I am rather upset right now.

http://www.thisisblackpool.co.uk/dis...eat_friend.php

I will send her a card tomorrow. Some things are more important that silly fall outs.

Default I'm feeling better....

Tracey, sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she is better soon. I have been trying to get back on track myself since last week. Life sometimes has to come first but as long as we keep some focus we can get back to this task.

Robsia, congrats on your victories...you are doing and awesome job.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's dad. I read the story and it sounds like he was a wonderful man and loved by many. At times like this, petty differences mean nothing... I'm sure your friend will be very happy to hear from you and perhaps it will be a beginning to rebuilding your friendship.

Janet, I'm feeling better, but I'll wait til' tomorrow to be sure. Congrats on the loss and the workout. I bet it was nice having your brother along... is he diabetic? LOL, girl you love ebay, huh? I have to steer clear of them or I'd stay broke

Cheryl, thanks... I've been looking for Paula too! I hope she is ok and will rejoin us. Congrats on losing those 4 lbs. I'm sure you'll get another gift before then!

Linda, "Nothing too much going on around here but it seems to be keeping me busy. and I'd better get back to it"

I was able to get in a good workout today. I did my 2 mile workout and felt really good afterwards. Hmmm, maybe I just had some 24 hour bug. I'll just wait and see how I feel in the morning.... right now I feel pretty good. I'm still maintaining these last couple of days and still .5 from my ticker. You know with all that has gone on with me in the last couple of weeks, I'm quite pleased with myself

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Hey all! Just wanted to pop in and say I'm here! You know how weekends are for me. A house full. I invited my aunt/uncle/grandmother over for a bbq, of course mom and dad were here also. It's been busy here. I'm happy to report I'm down another pound! That's two for this week. After a 14 day stand still, I'm really happy! I've been walking around the neighborhood (new development, so not far to go) I clocked it today and it's roughly 2km walk. Not as much as I would like, but it's so refreshing to be outside.

That's about all new with me. I'll be back tomorrow for personals...I promise!
TTFN!

Oh Cheryl CONGRATULATIONS! wtg on the 4 pounds for sure, that's great. But a great big hurray for the sewing/embroidery machine! I know you will just love trying out all the different bells and whistles on that baby! Speaking of baby, congrats on the upcoming in October! You are just full of great news today.

Robsia - condolences on your loss.

Lois - no my brother is not diabetic he has AIDS and one of his problems is the neuropathy in his legs. We went and worked out again today. He does the pool and the hot tub, I did the treadmill, elliptical, and some free weights and weight machines.

I have the same problem going with him as I do going with my mom. I am not ready to leave when they are. He is nice about it though he goes outside and smokes and hangs around until I give in and quit. Which means I stop after an hour (hour fifteen today) when I would really like to go for another 30 minutes. But I am thankful I get to go at all. The extra fifteen minutes got snuck in because I could not find him (he was still showering or something) so I went out into the big area and did some machines out there.

I am glad you are feeling some better. I hope you are up to returning to your usual life on Monday!

yeah, I should stay away from ebay and half.com and amazon too but I usually splurge once a month when I get my check and then just enjoy getting the stuff in the mail the rest of the month and using it. Last couple of months it has been exercise videos and weight loss books. This month it is movies. I think next month I am going to have to buy a new VCR. I think I messed mine up getting out a stuck tape. Now there is tracking all over the place that I cannot get to adjust out.

Tina - glad you have a nice new sidewalk to pound on. The barbque sounds nice. We have not had a family barbque in a while.

Congrats on your new losing streak...I hope it is like the energizer bunny.

Meowee - I am glad you are still plugging away!

Seems like we have a lot of absenteeism going on here...I wonder where everyone has gone off to and when they will be back.

Morning everyone.

I am not at school now for three weeks so I went out shopping this morning. You may remember how excited I as when I went out and bought a pair of NEXT 16 jeans and they fastened. Well, as they are getting baggy, I went out and bought the same jeans in a 14 and guess what! They fastened!!!!!!

They're tight and I think I ned to lose a few more pounds before they're comfortable enough to wear out but wow. A pair of size 14 jeans and they actually fastened!!

I also bought a size 14 top that looked really small on the hanger. I tried it on, not really expecting it to fit and thinking I could put it away but it did fit! And it looks really nice.

I also was down 0.7 this morning which was a HUGE surprise as I normally have a spike on Mondays.

So altogether I'm having a good day. So far.
