Chefbran, Morrigan, losing4another,

You are all right! I just get so irked by my neighbor sometimes. No family, just an older gentleman who works from home. Maybe that's the reason. unfortunately our building has very thin walls. I can hear ever-thing! that goes on in my neighbor's apartments:flow1: -- upstairs and down :o

Anyway, 1hr. a day won't kill him. I already stomp around doing Tae Bo.

Anyway, how is everyone's week going so far? Mine's alright. This is the first week of my fitness/healthy eating plan and my muscles are still hurting. But oh well, 'onward and downward' right?

Cheers!
Annie :)

Ellipticals are not noisy. The closer to gym quality the less noise.

A treadmill isn't either if you get one with pro shox or cushioned where the belt and the bottom of the treadmill don't touch. You can actually put your hand between the belt and the bottom of the treadmill while someone is on it and they won't touch. With a mat under the treadmill too I think it will be fine. I live on the 4th floor and I haven't had any complaints.

SupersizedChicky 04-22-2006 03:40 PM

Just wondering how everyone's weekend is going & don't forget post your results.
Update: I finally hit 220 today which makes 30 pounds for me.

nicolbw 04-23-2006 10:07 AM

I decided to start a new plan today. I am going to be eating clean now. I've been going up and down around 177-180 for a few weeks now. I think maybe I've gotten off course a little too much and so I'm starting something new for me. I'm going to try eating alot more veggies!:yikes:

I'll post my results on Tuesday morning. I hope everyone is doing alot better than I have been this weekend so far.:goodscale :eating2:

girlieyorkie 04-23-2006 01:52 PM

Have not been consistent with my daily exercise and portion control this week.
I just hope the scale will not show a gain.:crossed:

My weigh in is usually saturdays, I did a monday weigh in last week 'cuz I thought we all had to weigh in on mondays.
I'll post the results saturday morning.

Hope everyone is doing great.

dgpebbles 04-23-2006 05:35 PM

I've been having a great week..I hope everyone else is doing great too..good luck at weight in tomorrow...

Weigh in

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend! Well I'm weighing in today at 195. I've had a good week with the exercise. Faltered a bit with the food on the weekend. But getting back on that ol' horse again.

I have a pair of 14 jeans that I would love to fit into. Can't wait! Think I'm gonna hang it front and center in my closet for extra motivation! ;)

Annie

melekalikimaka 04-23-2006 06:25 PM

Hey all, this week has been loads better than last week (with Easter and all). Weekends are always hardest for me when family comes over and we cook out on the grill...lots of snacky snacky foods like chips and dips and sometimes it feels like I want to graze all day. But! I've got some nice lean meats to grill today and will just take a single serving portion instead of a half side of beef .... and load up on the greens. I will weigh-in on Tuesday morning and post my results.

Chicky, congrats on your 30 lbs lost milestone, great job! :high:

Brandi, having a plan is better than not planning at all. Good luck and sending you positive vibes for a good W/I on Tuesday.

Annie, hey good job on the loss :cb:. If I read that correctly, is that 6 lbs in 1 week? That's awesome! Send me some good vibes. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are ya? We're about the same weight range and I'm just getting back into some of my 14 jeans. I'm 5'3" short though.

Hang in there everyone, just a few more weeks to go. We can do this :)

dgpebbles 04-24-2006 08:08 AM

I'm happy to say I had a great week and I'm down 2.4lbs which puts me at 168.8..now if I can just do it again this week.

anne-congrats on your loss...6lbs is awesome...you'll be in those14's in no time.

hope everyone has a great day.

Losing4another 04-24-2006 09:20 AM

Down 5 pounds to 229 :carrot:

Rosario 04-24-2006 10:03 AM

congratulations to all you losers!! Great job!!

I am ashamed to post that I am up 3 lbs to 228. My worst week ever. I ate whatever I wanted (and then some) and I didn't excercise. I am really putting my foot down. Just losses from here on out. I know I probably won't make my goal, but I'm gonna put up a fight to get there.

Have a good day ladies and keep up what you gals are doing!!!

purplecrush 04-24-2006 11:05 AM

Good job to all the losers!!!! We are going to hit our goals!!! My W.I. is tomorrow and im hopefull. I havent exercised this weekend, I was so busy! My son plays Minor Baseball and boy is that a big commitment!! We are busy 4 days a week plus weekends!! So needless to say, weve had alot of fast food! This week, I vow to do better, ill pack dinner and snacks, so we dont have to go out.
Its been so beautiful here, It was 75 yesterday and ill tell ya, it was wonderful! The kids gotta play outside, I got to work in my yard. I love being outside, well, when its not too hot. Today is only going to be 70, but ill take it!! Hope all of you have a wonderful day!!

PicklesPotter 04-24-2006 12:35 PM

Great job to all the losers. I am not actually going to weigh in until Wednesday. It is my normal day, I just switched it up last week. Now that it is getting warm exercising outside has been easier. (Except right now we are having winter-like weather. It was great until last night though!) I am a little worried that I will be up this week. Maybe I will give a last few days push and stay the same! :)

Losing4another-5 pounds is great. I have NEVER lost 5 pounds in a single week, and I always strive for it. I know 2 pounds is a good average to shoot for but I only want one week were I lose more!

Have a great week everyone!
Abby

SupersizedChicky 04-24-2006 04:42 PM

Well, even though I finally saw that 220 on Saturday, I had a horrible week. Didn't sleep for two days and didn't exercise for 3. I was doing well on my calories until last night when I had a splurge meal. Ribs and fries. I had a whopping 2,810 calories yesterday. That meal left me craving bad things today so I will have to fight those for the rest of the day. I hope my body will recover and I can lose some weight next week when I'm suppose to. I'm so close to being in the teens.

Losing4another 04-24-2006 07:57 PM

Abby- I don't normally lose 5 pounds in a week either. It was probably that I was eating so much junk the last couple weeks that this HEALTHY week made my body think NEW DIET. I lose big the first week on a new diet :)

Spersized- YAH almost in those teens...can't wait to be able to join you there:D

hoolagurl27 04-24-2006 10:35 PM

Hi everyone!

Noelle, I'm a shortie too, I'm a whopping 5'2! But I feel like I'm 6 ft. tall. Congratulations on your 40 pounds lost! That's awesome! I hope to be able to post up 40 lbs lost too! One day.

SO whattya say? Another 10 lbs or so to be in my 14's? They "fit" sorta. I mean they can button up but are hella tight. I feel like a sausage link, ya know?

I was looking at some of my clothes yesterday and I realized that one short-term goal is to fit comfortably into the smaller clothes I have. the 14's (usually range from 14-16 but for the last year its been the higher end).

Anyway, congratulations to all! Let's rock this for the next weigh-in!!

Annie

nicolbw 04-25-2006 10:15 AM

Well I lost the 2 lbs I put on last week and am back down to 177.6. Yeah! So I'm back to where I started.

I started my new plan on Sunday. It's not too bad. I'm trying the Sonoma Diet. It's all about whole foods. I figured I needed to try eating cleaner. We'll see how this goes. Well my grocery bill was almost twice what it normally is, so that's not good. But isn't it usually whenever you start a new plan? I'm hoping to lose 2-4 lbs in the next week. I'm keeping my hopes up anyway.

I hope everyone is doing well.

purplecrush 04-25-2006 10:58 AM

Keep up the losing losers!!! We are doing such a great job! I had my weigh in this morning and im down 1 lb. Ill take it since I didnt lose anything last week. Its been so nice here, I walked over 2 miles yesterday and will probably do that again today. I love it when its warm, not hot, but warm.

Have a losing day!

melekalikimaka 04-25-2006 07:51 PM

Another loser checking in...

Hey all, I am checking in for this week with a 2.2 loss, putting me at 188. Thank God since I gained 1.4 last week. At least I'm moving in the right direction now. heehee, just 3 lbs to go to get to "drivers license weight"

purplecrush, I'm with ya on the walking outdoors when it's just perfect weather like you've been having. It's getting hot and humid some days here in Hawaii and that's just a hint of what summer will bring :sunny: Great job on the 1 lb gone forever :high:

Brandi, good luck with the Sonoma diet. It sounds like a good plan.

Annie, I think another 10 lbs would put us comfortably in our size 14's. There are 14's I can wear now are the "big" 14's if you know what I mean (Old Navy, Bill Blass, etc.). But I am back in a pair of Nautica jeans that I haven't been able to wear for 2 years and they are smaller than the Old Navy ones, so I'm happy about that. I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach, thighs and butt (as my DH likes to say I've got a lot of junk in my trunk  ) but as I lose, everything pretty much slims down proportionately.

Super, one bad meal does not equal a bad week. (I know you know this :D) I hear ya on the cravings the "day after" though. You can beat it!

Rosario, you can do this girl, we're here to help you out.

Pickles, good luck on your WI tomorrow :crossed:

Great job everyone, keep posting and keep striving to be big losers :grouphug:

SupersizedChicky 04-25-2006 10:29 PM

I used to live in Hawaii from Jan 2001 till April 2005. My husband was stationed at Schofield Barracks, but actually worked on Wheeler. We lived in Helemano. It was nice because it was just a down hill drive to Heleiwa.

Where do you live? I miss the nice weather, the salt/pineapple flavored air, and the sounds of the waves. I now live in the desert.:(

PicklesPotter 04-26-2006 12:58 PM

I weighed myself this morning. I am only down .6 pounds, which puts me at 166.2. Any tips on how to step it up?
Abby
