me again, seems just as I post a bunch of others posted at same time..

Connie, good luck to your dh and yourself... all I can say is OUCH!!!!.
But you will feel much better when you are recovered. My ds#4 had scoliosis and had to have major back surgery 2 yrs ago at age 23. The surgery took 7 hrs. and he has a rod up his entire spine except for a couple vertebrae at the neck and a couple below his waist, so he can bend his head and at the waist. The rest are all fused together. IT took him 3 months to recoup. He moved back in with us to heal. IT was a difficult time but he recovered very well. As you will. I will keep you and your dh in my prayers. You will both be well before you know it.. you'll have to keep us posted when you can.

Ok, this time I am going to go do something else. Dh is watching a movie I don't care about so I'll go putter else where. Night again.

Hello all,
wow where did the weekend go? Seriously now that Im working again I find that this weekend literally zoomed by. Now expect the longest 5 days to be coming by...*sigh
Ginny,,,what is your son saying about this wedding? The 19 yr girl,,,she sounds rediculous.

Susan,,,put down the slurpee! And blueberry muffins.

So Ellen you are going to start your diet on Tuesday? What type? Other then sea food.

Hi Michelle welcome to our group.

Jules, I saw a recorder player at Linen N Things this past Christmas, how is it to find needles? My parents have their old record player but no needle. Would be cool since they have about 100 records.

Christina I just finished reading this book called WHAT THE DOG DID,,,by Emily Yoffe. I laughed so hard,,,its a good read.
Im now reading a book called Pale Indian, by Robert Arthur Alexie, its written about myhome territory. A bit graphic.

Well seems all I did was clean and shop this weekend, didn't shop for anything fun. Did a Costco run, thats a nice 300...yikes! Monte has a bad cold right now and has already crashed and burned,,,Im ready too. I still have to go and pick up some costumes from a theatre compnay.
Watched Jarhead last night...interesting.
My old neighbhours moved yesterday, they retired to BC, next province over. Have yet to see the new neighbours.
Anyways I should get going, ,,,

Hi Susan & Ginny...Thanks for the WELCOME...you're all so nice and upbeat here. Susan, I do love this area. My husband and I both graduated from Oregon City High School, and now we've raised both of our daughters here. I was born in Iowa, and most of my family still live there, but Oregon is for me! I love the beach ~ can't live without it. Thank you again for your kind words...

HI CONNIE... SORRY To hear about your husbands and your surgeries ,hopefully they will put you both on the road to recovery  I will keep you both in my prayers.

HI SUSIE Q...I bet you hate me calling you that don't you  stay away from that Slurpee guy  Let have a race to the finish line , you have 30 ,I have 35, lets do it,:dust:  what do you say. Just think how much better we will feel, heck I may even be able to jog down to Oregon some day.

HI ANGIE... I am going to do the chicken ,salad and veggies for a while and see how that goes. I WILL eat really light tomorrow and eat the cheesecake , as much as I don't want to eat it , I do, and I know my daughter would be hurt if she picked out the perfect piece and I said I didn't want it . She phoned me the night before she left and went down a big long list on her computer from the cheesecake factory site describing about 20 different kinds to see which one I would like most. Once I tell her I am dieting , she will respect that and will do everything she can to help me achieve my goal.

HI GINNY... I'm sure glad I make someone laugh , makes me happy that someone appreciates my sad attempt at humor  My Son always says Mom your cracked , with a big smile

HI TO JANE.....MARTI.....MINDEE.....SUE.....CRISTINA.... .WHERE ARE YOU CRISTINA....AND SORRY IF I MISSED ANYONE I HAVEN'T TALKED TO TODAY, HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU GIRLS,

Here I am at #50...the lonely post that hardly anyone reads, ha ha

Juat wanted to say Hi and Welcome to Michelle. Judging by our ages and locations, I bet we were at a few of the same football games growing up, as I graduated West Linn High in 83. I love Gladstone; I did some student teaching and subbing at Kraxberger in the early 90s and just fell in love with the place. If I didn't love my little corner of SW Portland so much, I think Gladstone and West Linn would be my next choices.

Have a great day everyone...see you in the next thread

Dang, you don't think these post are read Katy?? *sigh* I am too lazy to close it and start a new one.

If you give me a couple of days I could probably be up to 35 too Ellen. lol I love a challenge!! When are you starting? I am going to start right now! I am going to beat your ***......!! oops.....in a nice way of course, in a sisterly JL way......lol

Anyway, I am sick. Must have been the cheap chips that I ate. I popped 10 tums and that still didn't help.

My goal is 80 oz's of water today. I want to lose 1 pound this week.

It would be so hard to leave SW now, I agree Katy. Just seemed settled here. I do love the Oregon City area, so pretty. I would have graduated from OC if I didn't drop out - lol . We are the same age Michelle. My brothers went, maybe you know them?

chat later.....

RosieKate 04-10-2006 12:35 PM

This world just keeps getting smaller and smaller, lol! We were probably all at the same football or basketball game back in 1980 or something like that.

I'm still reading them, Susan

I've never started a new thread...I just figure Marti or Jane should do it so they can lock this one up....

I agree OC is pretty - I like their old town area, with the elevator.
