Good Sunday EVening Flowers!
Today was a lovely day....Sun was out, cool but dry. They are predicting a warm us later in the week. Jean: Hope the water problem is behind you now. Easter, especially with such young kids is lots of fun. That's quite a trek you have to make to get to the good stores. I guess I don't realize how lucky we are that there is a large mall so near by. Faye: Your Easter basket and clues for T are just terrific! He will always remember Nonny and all she did for him when he is grown. Our eldest grandaughter's 12 th BD was on Saturday and we went over for dinner and cake. She is growing into such a lovely young lady. She is getting tall and I had a hard time guessing her sizes but I was 50% correct. Got her a Jr. medium shirt and a Jr. size 3 crop pant. The pants were skin tight and mom is going to exchange them. Her older brother, 14, came over on Sat. AM with 2 school buddies. The are doing a project on WWII and came to interview DH. He is a great military buff and although, as he told them, he was only 13 when Pearl Harbor happened and his military tour was during the 'Cold War', he would love to talk to them. Well, they came with their camcorder and had a great interview. It was near lunch time so I made pizze for them and they really enjoyed that. DH was invited to the school when they make their presentation. Should be interesting. DD#1's 2nd boy,12, is rehearsing for a roll in the school musical...Annie! He is playing Daddy Warbuck's #1 Servant. The play is to be preformed mid May and I am dying to see it. It is fun to see how things change as the grandkids get older. Before it was having them visit or visiting them and now it is interviews and plays. WOW! Gloria in MA....TTFN |
Good Evening, Flowers, . . . although it still seem like afternoon! My day started with bell practice at 7:30 this morning. We were first on the program, prelude, so I left as soon as we finished; Bob and I headed for his hometown church as soon as I got back home. We got to see alot of local people and enjoyed visiting before and after church. Stopped at Jason's to spend some time and headed home. I have lots I could be doing, but Bob is asleep in front of the TV so I don't want to vacuum and that is next on my list.
"Gma" -- Bob used to coach for both Jason and Beth when they were little. My athletic ability leaves alot to be desired so I was in charge of water and band-aides! You sound like me . . . a not too warm, not too cold, not too windy fan! I'm sure T appreciates your being there for him! I hope your dryer leak is something simple. My washer has a leak but it is not every time. Bob keeps saying he will pull it out and take a look, but I never think about it until I'm washing clothes. Gloria -- It's nice to see you today! My basement still has a trickle running to the drain, but the pump under the stairs is not pumping as often so that is a good sign. Jason always liked to talk to my dad about his adventures during WWII. My dad made two audio tapes for Jason, but I haven't listened to them yet. We are about an hour and 15 minutes away from the mall if we drive the speed limit. Part of the way is 4 lane so it doesn't seem to take very long at all. Not much else is newsy from my corner of the world. I hope you all have a marvelous Monday! Jean -- from Iowa! |
