After doing yard work for 5 hours on Saturday and a boxing class today, I better see some results on the scale in the morning ;) My hamstrings are on fire...which is a good thing?
|
Once again I have proved to myself why I cannot weigh daily . . . I just can't handle the little ups following the downs. Yesterday I got on the scale and was totally elated to discover I was down 1.8. Today I am back up .4 of that. I know, I know . . . that's still a net loss of 1.4 but I'm depressed about it anyway. :( I will not get weighed again until Wednesday.
Other than that . . . nothing new in my world. It's sunny and cold once again but it looks like the predicted heavy snow is going to miss us. At least I hope so. :^: A big congratulatory  for those of you already able to record a loss on your Easter-pound hunt. I'll let you know where I am 'officially' on Wednesday. Keep moving and shaking your way to success, gang. See you soon. :carrot: |
Hi all-So the gym scale put me at 133.5 today. I'll post it, but I'll probably go up and down for a few days and be upset about the ups.
Meoww-I so hear you about the scale war. Down days are glorious, up days suck. |
Good Morning . . . happy to tell you I did NOT cave in and get on the scale this morning . . . a small NSV in and of itself.
|
What does NSV mean? I seen it on here a lot??????
|
NSV = Non Scale Victory.
|
Hey all, just checking in. Last Friday I was down about 2.75 pounds towards my easter goal but then I threw a wedding shower and had company all weekend (eating out) and on Monday the scale showed I gained most of it back! Ahh! I must have mostly been water weight because the scale is back down again, but we'll know for sure on Friday. Exercise is good so that must be what's keeping me on track.
Easter weekend also happens to be my neice's wedding (who I had the shower for) so I'm trying really hard to lose that 8 lbs before then. It looks like everyone else is doing good, keep up the good work! |
There is nothing like a stressful day to make one binge eat. I feel terrible, horrible day and ate terribly as well. Scale was down a pound today (and no gym because exhausted) so see what tomorrow morning brings. *SIGH*
Hope everyone else is doing better. I hope I don't gain the first year teacher freshman 15. |
Hi all,
Welcome Denise, look forward to getting to know you better. Well I weighed myself yesterday morning and I weighed the same. So Happy about that since I made some bad food choices during the week and really worked hard to get back to 338. Start of a new week, so I will try to do better. Cheryl |
Well, here it is, my official ww. I get to send one pound off to 'ugly-pound-heaven'. Hey, a pound gone is good news. :D Unfortunately on Sunday it had looked like it would be two but I guess one of them just wasn't ready to become "official" yet. A little disappointing since I've been doing the right stuff. But, heh, all good things come to she who waits . . . and waits . . . and waits. :^:
Nothing else very exciting around here. Weather is sympathizing with my mood . . . we are both feeling a little dull around the edges. Hopefully we'll both brighten up soon. :sunny: Have a great day, everybody. Keep doing the good stuff and the rewards will follow. :carrot: |
Meoww-Congratulations on your loss!
Flame-Sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Try to just put it behind you and jump back on track full force today! Hopefully that pound stays gone. Carol-Congrats on maintaining after the big weekend. Keep working hard everyone. It sounds like we are all headed in the right direction. Happy Hump Day |
Hi all
Weighed in this morning :goodscale. Down 2 more lbs. for Easter goal, 8 more to go. I can do it. Wishing You All The Best Denise |
Hi everybody - had a bit of a setback this week. After a loss of 1.6 over the weekend, I had a jump of 1.4 lbs on Monday morning!!
Disaster!! So it's taken until today to get that jump back off and now I'm down a further 0.2. I hate those jumps - I know weight fluctuates but it's horrible to see it! Still, it's going the right way overall. Congrats to all the losers. Well I have to go write a job application for THE most fantastic job that's come up - Teacher of Academic Music at Chetham's in Manchester - only the most prestigious Music school in the country! I don't have a cat in ****'s chance of getting it, the competition will be massive, but I have to try!! |
Hello everybody . . . hope you all have a great day. :carrot:
Congratulations to GR8 on the loss. And to Robsia for an overall net loss. And good luck on the application. You really never know what may happen but it's for sure that nothing will if you don't try. See you soon, gang. :carrot: |
It's written, re-written, printed out, scriubbled over, re-written a third time and it's now printed out onto sexy Conqueror paper, ready to be posted in the morning!
Wish me luck everyone! I actually sound pretty good on paper - LOL! I'd hire me! |
GOOD LUCK Robsia!!!!! Let us know how it goes.
I spent the past 2 days without food in a hospital waiting room. Going back and forth between thinking it is food poisoning and appendix. They still don't know and I am home. At a sandwich and will see what the hospital diet resulted in tomorrow morning. Spring has SPRUNG! The sunshine is a nice addition to daily life here. Hang in there everyone. |
Oh yeah - dropped 1.1 this morning - finally hit 2 stone (28 pounds)!!
3 lbs gone off my Easter goal (well, 2.9 but who's quibbling over an ounce or two?) |
Well . . . here we are . . . another day . . . and the sun is peeking through from time to time.
My WATP DVD finally came and I watched it through once and decided "I can do that" and immediately pulled something in the back of my right knee on the warm-up. So my wonderful, "I can do that" attitude will now have to wait a couple of days. The stupid knee is so sore I can hardly walk on it this morning. I do think the DVD will be great for me though. It wasn't anything strange in the routine that caused the problem, just my silly trick joints. :^: So today's exercise is going to be a 'finger-routine' ala 3FC. :p Congratulations on your loss, Robsia and best of luck on the job stuff. When do you think you might hear anything? Let us know . . . we're keeping our :crossed: Gee, Flame what a horrible way to spend your time. Especially since you never found out what was the problem. I hate that. Hopefully it will be a one-time event and will give you some unexpected extra loss. Have a good day, gang. Keep moving in the right direction and I'll see you soon. :carrot: |
Hey . . . where did everybody get to? :^:
|
Hi I'm here!!!:) I'm down about 3lbs so far,how is everyone else doing??
W. |
Hey there, I'm back after a few days of being too busy to get on the computer - I don't think that has happened in years!
With my neices wedding on Easter weekend and all the social engagements between now and then it might just turn into a habit, but hopefully one I can break! LOL! I'm down a total of 5 lbs toward the Easter goal and I'm thinking about changing it from 8 to 10 lbs, but I think I'm due for a "stall" this week. I'll wait to re-evaluate until the end of this week. Great job everyone! |
Oh wow . . . I could just become soooo jealous of both of you . . . Wendy and Carol . . . heh, my turn will come . . . I just hope it's before Easter.:p
|
Congrats Robsia, Wendy and Carol on your weight loss!!! I hope to join you with a loss on Monday. So far the weekend has gone well, no cheating. I'm eating good stuff like fresh mushrooms, broccoli and fruit.
Robsia...Hope your interview went well for you! Have a good weekend ladies! Cheryl |
Congratulations to everyone on their losses! I'm down another pound! Looking good for reaching this goal!
|
Well, things aren't looking too great in my search for the Easter goal. I had a bit of a melt-down in the middle of the night. My blood sugar dropped dangerously low and after I had a little nibble to bring it back up, I just kept on eating. Bottom line . . . by 4am I had consumed half of today's calories. :o Oh well, stuff happens. :p The rest of the day is going better but it's not going to be one of my lower-calorie days. :^:
Glad the rest of you are doing well. Keep up the good work and we'll talk to you again soon. :carrot: |
Meowee: we all have those days. Don't hang on it - just keep on swimming, swimming, swimming, just keep swimming, swimming on (finding nemo - lol). You have done so well already, don't let this one day get you down.
TO all others - how are you doing? Maybe we should post our favourite diet eating tip to help deal with those snacking or sweet or crunching cravings? I will think of mine and get back to you. Today I had to practice self-talk to get me past the donut shop (Tim Horton's Maple dip - my favourite). Just kepts saying "you don't need this, you are not hungry" and then drove past. Once I was past it I was fine. Out of sight out of mind. |
Hello to everybody.
My yesterday definitely finished better than it started. And the week looks OK with today left to go. ;) Of course, tomorrow morning is my official weigh-in and it remains to be seen what Mr. Scale will think of my week. :^: Nothing too exciting around here. Another sunny and windy day and I can almost smell Spring. But it never pays to get toooooo excited until mid-April in Nova Scotia. My best diet tip? Learn to love vegetables and make yourself a big pot of "sanity soup" (any broth-based soup with lots and lots of low-calorie/low-carb/free vegetables) to keep in the refrigerator for those moments when you just 'need something'. :D Have a great day. See you soon. :carrot: |
Glad things are looking up Meoew....Lost another pound here - but I think mine is still post not eating because I was worried I needed surgery. I will take it though!!!!
Can't get back to the gym though - been a rough week. |
Another beautiful sunny day . . . Love it  Another ugly pound has left my body this morning . . . love it, too  Certainly not the speediest weight loss every known but we all remember how the tortoise finished the race.
Have a great day. Keep it a-moving and a-shaking. :carrot: |
I swear that I signed up for this challenge...or maybe was going to but didn't. Anyways, I'd like to join. I like taking babysteps like these because it seems easier to getting to the big goal. Everyone sounds like they are doing great. That's great. Eight by easter. I can do it!;)
|
Of course, Angela, the more the merrier.
It's very quiet around the boards today. Maybe everyone is out shaking of the cabin-fever-cobwebs or something. see you soon. |
I for one was exercising!:D But I have been around here alot today! I'm up 5lbs from my week long binge:( SO I'm at 138 when I was at 133:( SO sucks!
I still plan on trying to get that 8lbs off by easter! Even if it kills me! lol! Kidding! But I'm going to do my best!:D Thought I'd pop in and let you know I'm still game!:) Catch ya later, Wendy |
I think it is amazing how our bodies deal with stress - one day it will make me eat like a hog, the next forget to eat altogether. So does that balance verything out??? The sun will come out....tomorrow.....:)
|
Hi all!
I have been working to try and get off my usual Monday spike! Does anyone else have that? Where you have a great weekend and then your weight jumps up on Monday morning and it takes a few days to get it back down again? It happens EVERY week and although I know by now that it will go down, it's still annoying to see. Anyway, it finally went this morning, along with 0.2 on top. So I'm only 0.2 away from hitting 30 lbs, which is great! It was Mother's Day last Sunday here in the UK and we went for a meal at my sister's house. I actually did very well - I was very restrained on the main course but there was home made apple pie with cream for dessert!! But my mum made it and she is diabetic so she makes it with sweetener instead of sugar, which cuts out a fair chunk of the calories. Obviously it's still pretty calorific especially when you drown it in double cream but it was SOO yummy! And even with that, I have still lost this week so I'm pretty chuffed! So, half way to my Easter goal!! Congrats to all the losers and welcome Angela!! |
Well another lb bites the dust!! Been a solid week since the gym - going tonight even if I am sleepwalking on the treadmill. Have a good day all.
|
I didn't lose anything this week. I've started doing the WATP videos and have noticed a lot of muscle building up. Hopefully it's fat loss and muscle gain.
Wishing You The Best Denise |
Sunny and mild again . . . oh, when will it all end . . . please not soon, I hope. ;)
Wendy . . . Sorry to hear that your scale burped. :o Just keep doing the good stuff and you'll whip back into shape in no time. Robsia . . . Wonderful . . . being able to eat pie and still lose . . . great going, girl. Flame . . . Good for you, too. Sounds like you've been doing the right stuff, too. Denise . . . Might be water. Apparently when you stress your muscles, they retain a little water for a day or two. Whatever it is, it will probably be temporary. Keep it up, gang . . . See you all soon. :carrot: |
Where are you ? It's lonely in here ?
|
I'm here!
I'm halfway on my Easter goal now!! Which is exactly where I should be according to Nutridiary! It's nicer to be ahead but better than being behind! |
Down 2lbs and 16 days to go....I think I can!, I think I can!, I think I can!....:D
Well, looks like I'm getting sick again WHAAA! I'm still not over the one I got a month ago and here I am getting a really sore throat. WHAA WHAA! Although last time I was sick I lost 6lbs in a week:) that was nice, but not the right way to lose it! |
