I got up and went to the gym first thing this morning...I am improving on my cardio workouts and lifting weights...I am doing the sets of 10 and only doing what I can lift easy...I'm not going to push too hard...I don't want to end up injuring myself...

Bonnie - Glad to hear you did your this last week and that your hanging in there..

Carla - I know you can do it...You'll be back on track before you even know it.

Evenin' Ladies

This has been a much better day - I started back on my BP med and relieved a lot of excess water and bloating. Did a 2 mile WATP and ate sensibly. I am determined to get some type of workout everyday this week, either WATP, treadmill or stair climber.

I am dreading weigh-in tomorrow because I have gained so much weight since my trip to Houston but we will go with it and start anew.

carla - you will never be forgotten  We are not letting you go! Hang in there with us - we are looking for your return on the 20th!

Bonnie - the BB buddies have returned :grouphug:

Pebbles - you go girl :strong: with those weights. I can barely hold my 1lb cans when I do WATP. You inspire us all!

:goodluck: tomorrow ladies - Let's weigh in and take on a new lease on life!

Monday Success!

Hi Ladies - its sooo late and I have had a busy day. Started the a.m. with a STI moment. Instead of laying in bed I got up at 6:30 a.m. and did a 1 mile WATP :strong: Then I ate decently and got in 48 oz of water
Weight - sadly I am changing my ticker to reflect the weight I had gained from my vacation. Up a whole 6lbs! :yikes: But (BB Butt Buddies) we will dig in and start anew. Tuesday - intend to get in another 15 minute (at least) workout before the day is done.

where are our weigh-in buddies?

Maintaining the Current Thread!

Since our group is rather small right now - I am going to maintain the same thread till the end of this challenge (April 2) hoping that it won't become too unweildy. Let me know here or by pm if anyone has strong thoughts about this

carla49 03-14-2006 12:59 AM

Just a quick hello from rainy San Fran. I won't be weighing in until next Tuesday when I'm home, but I have a feeling I'll be joining Mscat on the walk of shame... If I'm up too far I may decide it's time for WW again - on-line this time. Meanwhile I'm eating rather too much, although not too bad on chocolate or junk food. But the wine! Ah, the wine... glorious wine... (Yes, today was Sonoma area wine tasting, and a grand time was had by all.) No challenges at the moment, apart from staying warm enough and surviving an uncomfortable accommodation situation. I'll be so glad to get home, and would leave sooner if it were possible to change my flight. Instead I'm escaping Wed to Fri to Gilroy, shopping outlet centre of the universe. (Slight exaggeration.)

Mscat, good idea to maintain the same thread. Bye!

Hi Ladies :) :grouphug:

For some reason, I'm not very motivated to challenge myself these days! Fortunately, I'm not motivated to be bad either! So while I haven't been 100% good, I also haven't been bad.

Yesterday (Monday), I got up early and went to bed early, didn't have any food after 7 pm, drank lots of water, and took the dog for a walk, so I'm counting it as a successful day.
Today was supposed to be good as well, but I only just had dinner and it's 9 pm!

I've been busy prepping for my trip - planning routes, researching attractions and national parks. We're leaving in a week's time. I'll miss you... and the internet!

dgpebbles 03-14-2006 08:06 AM

Well last week is better than I thought it would be...I'm down 1.5lbs for the week..I guess the gym is paying off...went yesterday and did 15 mins on elliptical and 70 mins of weights...

mscat / Carla - hang in there ladies...you can do it ..vacations can really hurt a diet..It's hard to eat healthy when your out and about along with getting in exercise...

mscat -great job on getting up early to workout...it really makes you feel good all day...I don't mind keep the same thread.

mscat816 03-14-2006 02:55 PM

Hi Ladies  did another 1 minute WATP this a.m. :carrot: That is 2 down this week - 5 more to go.

carla :val1: be my WW buddy :^: I am on on-line member and my money has been going to waste! I will pledge to tally points every day too. Starting today.

Sushi :cp: for your Monday. We will miss you too

Pebbles :cb: and :bravo: for your 1.5 lbs down and a big :strong: for that workout yesterday! Thanks for the encouragement.

Bonnie :strong: you are almost back in onderland - you can do it!

Wednesday Evening Report

I am on a roll  This is day 3 for my workouts. Hmmmmm - do we see a 21 day challenge in my future? I did a mile and 1/2 this a.m. at 6:30 :carrot: :cb: :carrot: It felt good. I am also using weights!

I was concerned how I would keep up with my workouts when DH and I go to Chicago for a training this weekend. My DD is letting me take her portable DVD player so I can WATP in my hotel room since there are no fitness amenities.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am missing your posts. Have a great day on Thursday. I probably will not be able to post throughout the weekend. Last time our internet connection to our laptop was not working. This time we are in training from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 a.m. So I am relying on each of you to keep the thread alive.

love,

Night Ladies

I hope everyone is doing well out there - it is lonely on the thread tonight. Just wanted to report that Thursday was great - I decided to change my workout routine and get on the stair climber instead of doing WATP. I forgot how hard the stair climber is! :fr:

I was perspiring, exhausted and wanted to quit at 10 minutes. But I had an STI moment :strong: and hung in there for the full 15!

I will try to check in the a.m. before I take off. Otherwise have a great weekend.

Sushi Penguin 03-17-2006 07:52 AM

Hello ladies :grouphug:

I decided to take things easier and not stress out so much about not sticking with my challenge. It's counter-productive.

I'm doing good with my water and I've been up early every day but Tuesday. I haven't been doing the stability ball exercises, but I did make a conscious effort to go running twice this week - which counts as exercise and which I didn't quite "have to" do since I blew my 21-day running challenge not too long ago and I'm not starting a new one until after my camping trip.

I had an STI moment while running this morning.... I ran one lenght of the road at a faster pace than usual and improved my time yet again (and for the second time this week - from 8 min 1 sec to 7 min 52 sec on Monday and now 7 min 41 sec today). That came at a price - by the time I had ran 10 minutes and came up a hill, I just couldn't anymore and had to stop. But instead of stopping for the day, I walked for a few minutes and then ran for 15.5 more minutes! :) :cheer:

So I'm fairly happy with this week so far, except for Wednesday when I slept in till 10 am or so. That being said, it's nearly 12 am, so I better go to bed! :)

carla49 03-17-2006 12:40 PM

Hello all. Nothing good to report, so I'll make this short. There's just 3 more days of this trip to get thru, and then I'll be home and plan on getting back on track big time. I think I'll be having some serious fear of scale on Tues morning - I feel more jiggly somehow, which probably isn't a good sign - but the bullet WILL be bitten, I swear.

Anyway, I'm still around, just keeping a low profile. Back home the wine tap will be turned off, and the whine tap too... Either back on the 1200 cal diet the doc gave me, or else WW again. I've never tried the Core plan, and it really should be both workable and affective. Mscat, I think you said you might be interested in trying it too?

Gotta go, catch y'all later.

dgpebbles 03-17-2006 11:21 PM

Hello ladies...well today made 6 days straight that I've gone to the gym..It's so addicting..I look forward to going everyday...

Sushi - great job on sticking to that running..

mscat - 15 min on the stair climber is great..I can only manage 5 mins and my legs are burning..

Carla- I know you'll be glad to get back home...trips are fun but there no place like home...I know you'll hope right back on board..
