Happy Thursday!

Hi Ladies - it was great to see so many posts from old and new friends!

Living4Him :welcome: to our lovely group :grouphug: sounds like this is a great place for you to work on your challenges. We post our weight losses on Monday a.m. so just let us know on Monday how you did on your Saturday weigh-in. We want you to continue doing what ever works for you and We are here to support you in STOPPING THE INSANITY! with everything else that doesn't work for you.

JTC :welcome: to you too! I love your "big girl panties." I an going to start referring to mine in that endearing way. Great goal and just keep in mind - 3 weeks of a challenge is a 21 day!

Sushi - congrats on your STI :strong: moment resisting the crumbly thing after 8 and :strong: putting the scale up. I am a scale addict too, especially now that scale is constantly moving down!

dg - happy to hear from you again and :woo: for your 1.5 lbs down!

carla - :carrot: for getting to bed closer to your time. I know what a struggle it is to get into bed on time. I keep saying 10 p.m. too! You are leading the pack because it's still 12 and 1 a.m. for me. :tantrum: Perhaps I will grow up in the next week or two and be more like you.

Have a great day Ladies!

Good morning :)

Whee, whee! :cheer:

Thursday was good! Only one coffee. Ran for 23 minutes (I was going to go for 25 or for 3 full lenghts of the road, but started getting weak & dizzy at 2.5, and thought "better stop than drop" - it was a hot day yesterday, and still really warm at 8 pm, and my water bottle was under the tree at the very beginning of the road). Walked a bit and then did 18 minutes on the stability ball when I got home - a bit less than normally and lesser quality, but I was too tired to push more. And then in bed by 9:50 pm. The plan was for 9:30 pm, but we had some spider adventures, yuck. Lots of spiders here! Anyhow, I slept great and I'm feeling a lot more rested today. :)

Good luck to everyone for the rest of the week, and welcome to our newbies. :)
Must get to work now... by the way, by the middle of next week, my posts will become much less frequent because I'll have limited computer access. Just wanted to tell you now in case I forget later, so that nobody worries. :)

Friday no-go. There was a bit of an emotional crisis just when I was going running, so I stayed to help with it (and I'm glad I did).
Munched on a bit of chocolate while watching the Olys, then went running at 9:45 pm, so obviously now way of making it to bed by 10 pm. I was feeling really tired though, and only managed 13 minutes of running.

I think this is going to be a "recovery weekend"

Sushi Penguin 02-18-2006 06:02 AM

Where has everyone disappeared again... ;)

Saturday no good either... it's 10 pm and I'm on the computer... and I somehow forgot to do the stability ball workout... :o
Good news on the running front though. :) Did 30 minutes today, which translated into 3.5 lenghts of the dirt road, meaning one running goal met. Now I want to be sure I can do 3 lengths consistently before I aim for 4. :) And I did 2 lenghts in just over 17 minutes, thus improving my time by quite a bit. And I stopped at 30 minutes because I decided to, not because I couldn't anymore.... :p :cheer:

Tomorrow is Sunday and I'm determined to end the week on a high note, which means bed on time and not forgetting the exercise! :)

Oh, my next post might end up being on the new thread as the owner of the computer I'm using at home is going on a business trip and taking the laptop with him. I'm skipping weigh in this coming week, but will plan my challenges better than this week - aiming for 7 out of 7 days of success! :)

Good night!

morning everyone...well this week I've been sick..went to dr today and he gave me meds and said to rest for 3 days...so I guess I wont be getting any exercise this weekend...I've done good all week though on exercise and eating..I'm at 665 minutes of exercise so far this month...Hope mondays weigh-in is good...

Sushi - great job on the running.:running: .30 minutes is great ..keep up the good work...

Pebbles, sorry to hear you've been sick!

Mscat, so your scale is constantly moving down? :carrot: :carrot: That's what we like to hear! I read an article in the paper the other day (or maybe a mag) that agreed with me that weighing every day is in fact better for weight loss! Not so easy to let the pounds creep on "unnoticed". Also, less tendency to be sideswiped by those occasional weight gains that are really just salt and fat. If you weigh every day you get used to normal fluctuations and don't get scared by them. Anyway, that's my theory and I'm sticking with it.

Sushi, your running seems to be improving more and more. Good for you! But what will this thread do without you when you can't post every day? Does this mean (oh horrors!) that Mscat and pebbles and Bonnie and I will have to stop slacking off?

I've been in bed before midnight every night but last night. In fact, most nights by 10 my eyelids are drooping badly... Sleeping has been a bit of a challenge for me since I started the early morning boot camp. I've been able to get up at 4:50 without too much trouble, but then I'm drooping all day and end up napping as soon as I get home. Which means I'm not sleepy until I crash at 10 or 11. Which would be fine, except I keep waking up at 1 am, then 3 am, then 4... Don't know why. And of course even though I could sleep a little later on non-boot-camp days, the cats have now decided 5 am is a lovely time to get their first meal of the day. And it's pretty hard to ignore 15lbs of mangy grey tomcat jumping on my full bladder, not to mention a little ball of cream and tortie fuzz delicately drilling all her weight directly through the most sensitive spot of my right (and yes, it's always the right) boob, croaking loudly that a kitten could starve around here.

Last week (and part of this one too) were a sad display of excessive sweets and sugary coffee with cream. :( But yesterday I decided enough was enough, and doubt there's much harm done. Monday at weigh-in I hope to squeeze down another pound. Determined to get under 190 by end February.

Gotta go now, I'm watching a lovely old B&W Miss Marple movie.

dgpebbles 02-19-2006 04:44 PM

where is everyone?

Sushi Penguin 02-19-2006 04:50 PM

Good morning ladies :grouphug:
Monday morning here. I nearly nearly nearly made Sunday a success... did the stability ball exercises, finished dinner before 7 pm, and made it to bed just after 10 pm. Alas, I could not fall asleep! Ended up getting up and staying up until after midnight and eating some chocolate in frustration. Gah.
Hopefully this week will be better. :)

Note: Tomorrow is the last day I'll have reliable computer & internet access. After that I won't be able to post more than once or twice per week until March 9th or so. And then starting March 20th, I'll be totally offline for almost a month. It will suck!
