Hey Britt, I'm a freelance writer - and I love my work. Most of what I do is writing articles for magazines and newspapers, and my specialty is politics, women's issues and human rights. From time to time I interview 'celebrities' - but I try and restrict that to no more than once a month, because it's pretty tedious work.

:-)

Lindor 10-06-2006 08:04 AM

Day 5

I stuck to my planned menu.

I drank three litres of water.

But...I added a naughty extra :(

I also had 150g of hazelnuts today :(

Won't hurt will it? :^:

I have also solved half my problem for the weekend...I am now working tomorrow

I am supposed to be at a 'party' right now, pigging out on all the party food, but it really is not my thing, so I am using 'I have to be up early for work tomorrow' as an excuse. One day (if they haven't already) people are going to realise how antisocial I really am - most likely just when I am ready to flaunt my new skinny body off!!!

Ani, sounds like you are getting right back on board now too! I trust the cats are able to relax a tad now too? :p

I hope you made those deadlines without too many unfortunate typos :p

So, knowing what you do now, you have to spill a little more...what 'celebrites' have you interviewed??? Just curious that's all :D

Britt, you know there is no harm in seeing a doctor and getting his or her opinion. At least then you will have a definate answer as to whether you are dealing with PCOS or not, or even if you are dealing with anything. Whether you take his/her advice on treatment or not (ie. go to a naturopath) is entirely your choice and the doctor cannot hold that against you.

Do yourself a favour...stop stressing and make an appointment? As much as you try and deny it, I think it is obvious it is something that is constantly playing on your mind just now

Well, hoping everyone is having an fun filled evening and, have a nice, relaxing weekend.

'Night all :)

plumptobump 10-06-2006 09:51 AM

Ani, Wow! Sounds like a brilliant job! No wonder you are so articulated...:) I can see how interviewing celebrities would be tedious! :) You should name drop that ones you have interviewed..haha.

Lindor, good on ya for doing well today and I have to say that if youre going to cheat on ANYTHING, I think hazelnuts are probably one of the milder of vices. I think youll be ok! :)

I admit it is weighing on my mind a bit, but nearly as bad as it was a couple of nights ago. At the end of the day, I cant do much until I drop weight, so I will just keep going and see someone when/if I need to. The main prob with going to see a dr is that the GP will refer me to a specialist, who will cost a lot of money! Money that we dont exactly have at the moment. We do have health insurance, but they only cover a portion of it. SO, I would rather wait until I really feel like I need to go. I have 4 parents, all in the medical field, so will get any answers from them in the meantime. Helps having drs and nurses in the fam...:)

Alls well here - I didnt drink enough water today, but eating was good. Took all vits. Now I just need to motivate myself to get walking again. Ugh.

Have a great night and great weekend everyone - Im sure Ill check in! :)

Britt

plumptobump 10-06-2006 06:07 PM

Hi gals,

Just had to pop in and say that those 2 kilos I gained last week are now gone (hopefully for good!). I have NO idea where they came from and I dont ever want to see them again! So, back to 3 kgs down - I so want to move my ticker already! Ani, I want to catch up to you!! At least I know that if I stick with this, I will continue to lose, and it helps with my pcos fears...Come to think of it, the dr never mentioned cystic ovaries when I had Carter anyway - I think I was worrying over nothing. Just come AF already!

LOTS of housework today as my sister is coming for a visit for Monday through Thurs and then MIL on Friday for a week, so since Im OCD about having a clean house with company, I have a lot to do today. Course, that means a good workout, so Im not really complaining. Kinda like a spring clean - I actually enjoy it secretly anyway.

Hope you guys have a good day!!

PerthChick 10-06-2006 07:06 PM

Woo Hoo Britt - great to hear those kilos have disappeared :-). I have to try and write quickly this morning because I madly offered to help a friend get her garden tidied up for a house inspection … and then I saw what I was in for! Picture this: a huge backyard that is chock-a-block full of weeds, all about a metre high – and strewn with rusting kids toys which have been discarded.

Hmmm…

I'll write more this arvo if I have any muscles left!

You girls want me to name drop? That's funny :-). Let's see - most of the Aussie women singers, lots of the Big Brother and Aus Idol people, quite a few actors and writers. Some names? Kate Ceberano, Marcia Hines, Melissa Etheridge, just off the top of my head … and the other day I interviewed Stephanie Macintosh (now that was as rivetting as watching paint dry).

I'm happy to talk more about that later if you're interested, but I wanted to suggest something to you Britt, before I run off for the day. I don't know what it's like over there, but in Perth we have a Family Planning Clinic and a Women's Health Centre - both of which bulk bill, and both of which specialise in women's health issues. if you're worried about money, maybe they would be affordable options for you.

Lindor, hazelnuts aren't naughty. You're allowed to eat things you like – good grief, I ate a Turkish Delight yesterday, and I refuse to beat myself up for that.

OK - must run and play Jungle Queen! Have a great weekend everyone, and inspire yourselves to get to that goal.

:-)
Ani

plumptobump 10-06-2006 10:24 PM

Thanks Ani! :)

Yeah, haha, funny you say that about Stephanie MacIntosh - Im not surprised in the slightest! I dont know if you guys got, but they did a couple episodes of a "day in her life" type of thing and it was so bloody boring. The poor thing. Granted, shes pretty new to the music scene anyway, but Im not impressed. Im a singer (not professional or anything), but have a pretty trained ear and I dont think shes bad, but not neccessarily good. ***Sorry to anyone reading this who likes her***I just think shes just another Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, run-of-the-mill type...who knows, she might just make it big??

Anyway, thanks for the info on the clinics - I might investigate further if need be. For now, we are just having fun trying to make a baby and losing weight - and thats all I need to do right now. :)

Hope you had a blast hacking through the forest at your friend's place....If it makes you feel any better, I am scrubbing showers again today, not to mention scrubbing floors, scrubbing fridge, scrubbing toys, scrubbing windows - the list goes on. I think I may need Vicoden (spelling?) rather than Panadol tonight...haha.

PerthChick 10-07-2006 01:55 AM

Here's a clue to how passionate she is about music. I asked her what makes her unique, and where her inspiration comes from. She giggled and said: "Oh, nobody's ever asked me that – I don't know how to answer it". She told me she's an actor/singer/performance artist … are you getting a picture? :-))

I have just spent FOUR hours solid whipper snippering in the sun. Does that mean I don't have to go for a walk? Have I used enough calories? I hope so, because I feel stuffed! Mind you, they made pancakes to thank me - pancakes!! And I had to eat them because it felt rude not to. What do you do in moments like that?

On second thoughts I guess I should go for that walk, hey!

*sigh*

kathyhegg 10-07-2006 06:19 AM

Oh it was PMS, I got my period, pigged out on caramelo koalas and kept going. I haven't had a shake all week so will start back at it this week. Back to school this week too. I just wish I could stick to something.

Lindor 10-07-2006 06:32 AM

Sounds like you two had about as interesting a day as I did...I went to work. They were down a weekend staff member so asked me seeings it was my job a few weeks ago.

I learned this week too, that my pay increase in my new job amounts to no more than 65 cents an hour. And my new job offers no penalty hours for extra income like my previous job did either, so I have in fact had a pay drop!!! So I jumped at the offer of overtime

I know I am going to really embarrass myself now...

...who is Stephanie Macintosh??? (it's ok I'll google later)

Actually I found reading todays posts from you both a bit of a mental challenge...my new job means translating medical talk and doctors use loads of abbreviations so your post Britt, was a good practice lesson for me (even if they weren't medical terms)!!! I worked all but one out and I really can't imagine why you want 'Atrial Affibrilation (AF???) to come already'. Knowing how you have agonised over PCOS, I really can't imagine you getting impatient about getting a Cardiac condition

Ani, I can't help but wonder how your muscles are going to feel come tomorrow. Hope you have had a nice warm soak already.

And Ani, anything that deviates from my planned menu is naughty!! And if that means hazelnuts are naughty then so be it!! :p

Have I mentioned that I am stubborn???

Well I have stuck to plan again today (yup no hazelnuts :p). Looking forward to Monday for weigh-in...hoping I have lost one or two kilos through this week - I have worked hard.

I plan to mow the lawn again tomorrow, but right now...it is time to relax :)

plumptobump 10-07-2006 06:45 AM

Hahah...you both have given me quite the giggles today!!

Ani, pancakes - yikes! I only eat them smothered in peanut butter and syrup...yum. Hope you enjoyed them! Did you end up walking??

Lindor, haha...AF=Aunt Flow. Sorry to confuse you love - no heart conditions for me, thanks! :)

Kathy, good to see you! PMS makes us do crazy things, huh? WELL, it would make me do crazy things if I was even getting my period! Argh! I take Blackmores Sugar Balance to help with cravings tho and its really helped...might help you too?

So I was thinking girls, why dont we start a challenge in here? 21 days maybe? There are other threads devoted to this, but I would rather do it with you girls and not have to join a new thread of non-Aussies (no offense meant since Im American)...what do you think?? Regardless of whether you want to join me or not, my 21 day challenge: walk 5 times a week for at least 30 mins. Every challenge I will add something new. Come on girls, I reckon this will motivate us!! :)

Hope you join me!

Britt xxxx

Lindor 10-07-2006 07:03 AM

How about a 21 day challenge of 30mins of any exercise a day?? It's starting to get too hot for walking here (and yes that is just another excuse ).

I like the idea Britt!!! ;)

plumptobump 10-07-2006 07:21 AM

Yay Lindor! Haha...you can make the challenge whatever you want - I just meant the the challenge for me personally would be the walking, but you can adopt whatever you need to! :)
Ok, so to make sure that Ani and Kathy and Leeny (?) and whoever else sees that this is starting, we will wait until Monday to start. Whoo-hoo! 21 days and hopefully Ill have lost a few kilos! :)

PerthChick 10-07-2006 07:53 AM

What are we doing? Count me in, as long as it doesn't involve walking on hot coals or talking to people I don't like :-).

Lindor, don't be embarrassed - I had to Google Stephanie Macintosh before I interviewed her. She's on Neighbours … yet another soapie-chick with singing aspirations, and now she has put out a CD called Tightrope. Related to Jason Donovan - blah blah. She isn't exciting. And if that isn't enough stereotyping for one blonde chick, she also goes out with an AFL footie player.

Britt, I didn't know what AF meant either. But I made guesses (all wrong)!

I'm a bit scared, because my muscles don't hurt and I don't feel tired. You know what's gonna happen – I'll wake up in the morning and my entire body will have seized up.

Now, back to our 21 day challenge. Excellent idea :-)))

plumptobump 10-07-2006 08:31 AM

Ani, do whatever you need to do to up your routine during the challenge (ie, more water, more exercise, etc). Mine is exercise. Not looking forward to it but I know I will reap the benefits! :) You however, already have that down, so maybe something else?? Maybe your muscles dont hurt because your stamina is so much better than it used to be, that it wont even phase you! I, however, already had to drug up!

Hahah - I had no idea "af" would be so confusing!! I post on another forum called babyandme and I guess I get used to the lingo there and forget that other people (normal people) dont understand our gibberish! Ill try and be a little more conscientous in the future! :)

Ok, so Monday it is - 21 day challenge - we can SO do this and I think it will give us results that will keep us motivated for the next challenge!

Off to bed I go - tired, hurting and afraid that the huge moth that entered our house has made its new home in my bed!

PerthChick 10-07-2006 09:08 AM

My muscles don't hurt because they are still in shock :-). Wait until tomorrow!

You're right, I need to think about what I am going to do for our 21-day challenge. Maybe I'll incorporate some situps and light weights, as well as walking every day.

I laughed about the moth Britt. It reminded me of the time I found a dirty great huntsman spider on my pillow. It just so happened that the ugly hairy thing made an appearance on the very first night I had invited someone to stay over. So I attacked it (the spider, not the date) with the first thing I could find – a golf club. I guess you had to be there!

As tired as I am now I am waiting up to watch that show on Channel 10 about the Bali Bombings. I really want to see it.

:-)
Ani

Lindor 10-07-2006 10:19 AM

Moths and spiders??? Pfffft!! Try a fat, slimy tree frog that p*sses all over the place when you go to pick it up!!!

Yes, my cat had left the lovely green critter on my bed just for me!!!

I won't begin to tell you what lovely surprises my dog has left on the bed for me, but (and I hope I don't jinx it now) I haven't had to wash my sheets at 3am for some time now!!!

How dumb am I??? It has only just registered with me who (or should I say 'what') AF - Aunt Flow - is! How am I going to do my job now??? I am going to see AF - Atrial Fibrillation - and just crack up!!!

Ani, should we send an Ambulance your way if we don't see you tomorrow??? Or maybe just someone who knows how to give a good massage? :p

'Night ladies :)

plumptobump 10-07-2006 05:53 PM

Well I suppose I cant complain about a lowly little moth when compared to huntsmen and tree frogs!! Hahah...I will tell you of a night I got attacked by THREE bugs in my bed. The first was a cicada that divebombed my head when I was reading in bed, only to find a small cockroach (the only one Ive ever seen in our house) scuttle across the doona, then wake up (after having dreams I was swiping something from my face) with spider legs all over my chest (where the body went, I dont know...). I swear I couldnt sleep properly after that night for a long time! Since then, Ive had DH (darling husband for the normal people!) spray the house every couple of months. We are having an ant problem at the moment and have found a couple of baby huntsmen around (wheres momma?!?). Ugh. I HATE bugs!

Maybe I should come up with another abbreviation for my period so that it doesnt affect your work Lindor! Let me know any suggestions... :)

Ani, how are you feeling?? Im feeling a bit better, still a bit sore, but manageable without drugs. However, I am far from being done with the house - spring cleaning is such a long process here....

Well, nothing new to report really - just cleaning and hopefully wasting away the fat stores! Have a great day girls - have a bbq to go to today (ugh) - wish me luck! :)

Britt
xxxx

PerthChick 10-07-2006 07:39 PM

Well, aside from my arms and back feeling a bit sore, I appear to have survived the Jungle adventure – and I'm now contemplating doing my own lawn today. I'll see how I feel when I have had my morning coffee :-)

Lindor, I'm a bit like Britt – bugphobic. So if I had found a tree frog in my bed, I would have lost 5kg on the spot! Eew!!! But I giggled at the image I had in my head. It reminded me of the day my cat brought a (not yet dead) rat into the house, and leapt onto the dining room table with it. Charming…

Anyway, I've been thinking about our 21-day challenge. Since I already walk every day, I feel like I would be cheating if I made my own challenge about walking.

So I am going to make myself a new challenge: As well as walking I am going to add in the following:

• Situps three days a week
• Swimming three days a week.

I'm not a very good swimmer, but even if I go to the pool and start off with five laps, then build it up - that has got to be a good thing. I hope.

Alright - must go and try and do something constructive with my day. I hope you all have a good one.

:-)
Ani

Lindor 10-07-2006 09:29 PM

Just a bit sore????

Ani, you must be getting fitter then??

We have to love the gifts our cats bring in don't we?? I have had many lizards brought inside! My cat catches them, brings them in and then lets them go - INSIDE!!!

How he manages it I don't know because he is strictly an indoor cat and has a small enclosure that he has access to outside to do his business. But these dumb lizards get into the enclosure!! And to think the idea of the enclosure was to prevent the cat being able to catch wildlife!

The frog, by the way, and to make matters worse, came from the toilet!!!!

I've decided my 21 day challenge is going to be 500 step-ups (in front of the TV) a day. OK so I am starting small...gives me something to work on for the next 21 day challenge

Well, I am going to annoy the neighbours and I am going to get out there and start my lawn mower...9:30 on a Sunday morning? Is that evil? Do I really care!?!?

Lindor 10-07-2006 11:36 PM

Ok, so I didn't exactly start at 9:30am in the end. I am a master at procrastination!! I got me a new ticker for the 21 day challenge and I reset everything else to show my new start from last week. I feel fresh and new :D

Anyway the lawn is all done now, front and back - even though I did the back last week and didn't really need it again this week :carrot:

You know back at the end of last year, early this year, after mowing the I'd just die in a heap on the lounge room floor from exhaustion. Now...well I am sitting here and feeling good for it!! I feel I could almost do it again...or not :dizzy:

When I stopped the lawn mower I realised the neighbours had turned the stereo on at full volume...maybe I did manage to annoy them after all!!

I was just fiddling with the BMI calculator, as I do occassionally. I am actually in the 'overweight' range now - meaning I am no longer considered 'obese'

Better yet...in 14kg time, I will make it into the 'normal' range!!! And that figure seems easier to work with that 20+kg!

Yup, I think I am motivated again :carrot:

PerthChick 10-08-2006 12:16 AM

I am SO happy to see you on fire Lindor … you go girl.

I just went and whipper snipped my back yard, emptied out a pond, made a 'shade house' for another one, and weeded a garden bed. I think I'm sick!

After lunch I'm gonna do domestics for an hour, and then that's IT! Slothful afternoon for me so I can prepare for our 21-day challenge :-).

I measured myself yesterday morning, because I was getting annoyed that my scales are on strike … well, it's the only reason I can think for why they won't move ;-). Anyway, I've lost a few centimetres everywhere since I started my weight loss, so that's a good sign.

I'm like you Lindor - have noticed that my stamina is already much improved. Can't wait till the next 5kg is gone. Great work, by the way!

:-)
Ani

plumptobump 10-08-2006 03:02 AM

Im so excited you two are all on board for the challenge! I sure am too! :)

Well, bbq didnt go quite as well as I planned however - I didnt eat TOO bad except for a bit of pasta salad and then...the worst part...I had cake! Not only cake, but pavlova as well! They were very small pieces, but still! I counted today as my junk meal day so at least I dont feel TOO awful about it! I reckon Ive burned more than a fair share of calories this weekend with all my cleaning! Oh, who am I kidding - Im gonna have to work damn hard to work the cake and pav off! Ugh!

Anyway, might just have a light, low-fat, low-carb dinner tonight, so I dont add fuel to the fire. Sister arrives tomorrow, so that might prove difficult walking with her here, but shes a bit of a fitness-nut, so might want to join me (and then pass me and arrive home an hour before I do, the little in-shape brat! >:( ) . We'll see I guess. Im still gonna do it no matter what tho, even if I go before she gets up in the morning.

Ok, off to finish (kinda) the house - I cant believe the amount of cobwebs that have accumulated in every corner of the house!

Have a good night!!! Tomorrow is Day 1!!

plumptobump 10-08-2006 03:05 AM

Oh and by the way LIndor, LOVE your little ticker! Might have to get me one of those!! :) Then I can at least move one ticker downward! :)

I cant wait to be in the "overweight" category and then in my healthy range! You are so close already! Im just getting to where you started from, so my journey is going to be a lot longer, but Ill get there...

kathyhegg 10-08-2006 07:58 AM

21 day challenge hey. I'm back to school. I'm so busy at the moment having 1/2 an hour to exercise is a luxury. Unless I got up half an hour earlier... erk. Give me time I"ll think of something, but I'll go with no cheating for 21 days.

Lindor 10-08-2006 09:05 AM

Go for it Kathy!! :carrot:

I am finding this 21 day challenge thing very motivating!

Well 7 full days and my only slip up was 150g of Hazelnuts! I am pretty proud of that :D

I still feel detemined and I reckon I can hold up another week too!!

Weigh-in tomorrow! If I am still sitting on 84kg or my scales show something higher I think I will commit suicide!!!

I am really looking forward to starting this 21 day challenge too :carrot:

BRING IT ON!!

plumptobump 10-08-2006 05:08 PM

Sounds good to me Kathy - you can totally do it! (I sounded like a California girl there - haha, well, I guess cause I am...)

Lindor, whoo-hoo on the 7 days! I reckon you will have lost some, but IF you didnt, dont commit suicide! We need you here to help keep US motivated! :)

Day 1 girls! It will definitely take some getting used to for me - I now have to plan my day around my walk....Carter and I will be setting off right after his morning nap today. Im so not a morning person (course having a baby changes that a bit...haha). BUT, I will succeed!

Let us know how you all do today - it takes 21 days to form a habit, so we're on our way to healthier bodies! :)

Have a great first day and we'll check in later! :)

Britt
xxxx

Lindor 10-08-2006 06:37 PM

So I weighed in this morning...

Ani!!! If I was going for your goal, 3kg by Xmas, I can proudly say I have reached it!!!

Yup - three kilos down this morning :D

Boy was I glad to see that!!!

The trick is now to keep that off and hopefully lose some more.

I usually start off losing 2kg - 3kg a week for a few weeks before it slows down to almost a stop and then I get really despondent. But right now...I am still going for it!!! :carrot:

11kgs until I am 'normal'!

I'll do my step-ups this evening to get my 21 day challenge underway!!

I'll report in again after that!

Heres to a good day and another good week!!! :carrot:

PerthChick 10-08-2006 07:05 PM

Great to see so much energy in here this morning - THREE kilos Lindor… Woo Hoo!!! I have never lost that much in a week - that's fantastic.

Britt, you sound determined today too - so there are no excuses for me. I'm going to go for a walk early today (it's supposed to get to 29 degrees in Perth), and then do my situps. If I get a chance I also want to whipper snip my front lawn.

Good luck girls - we can do this!

:-)
Ani

plumptobump 10-09-2006 06:05 AM

Whoo-hoo Lindor! Thats brilliant!! I bet that was motivating!

Just about to hop on treadmill - a little late than wanted, but am going to do it regardless. I ALMOST talked myself out of it and then I knew I wouldnt be able to face you girls tomorrow if I didnt, so here I go - starting is the hardest part! And, I have a bit of good news too - I have period cramps!! :) :) Haha..ok, thats wierd, but I think Im about to start FINALLY! Baby, get ready to be conceived in a couple of weeks! Hehe..

Have a good night girls - might hop on after my walk, if not - see you all tomorrow for day 2!

Britt
xxxx

PerthChick 10-09-2006 06:33 AM

Day One has been good for me. I walked for an hour, bought a weight bench and did a set of exercises … but the situps were really tough. I only managed 20, and I already know my muscles will be sore tomorrow.

I was so enthused about getting on with Day One that I forgot to weigh in. I promise to do that tomorrow morning. I've drunk 2 litres of water too, and hope to get through some more before bedtime.

Britt, I'm pleased you didn't talk yourself out of it :-).

How did you go Lindor?

plumptobump 10-09-2006 07:59 AM

<singing> I got to move my ticker!!! :carrot: :carrot:

Its amazing what a few weeks of inactivity will do to your stamina levels! Ugh! :dizzy:

BUT, 34 mins done and MANY more to go! :D

Good on ya Ani for buying a weight bench! I would love to buy one - as soon as I get down to 100kg, I think I want to start doing the weight exercises from Body for Life, so will need one for those I think. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it....

Well, eating was good, exercise was good, water not AS good, but still 2ltrs, and all my vitamins. And...with period possibly on the way, I am a happy chook! Im just glad that my sister didnt get any junk food today at the store that would tempt me. Shes very health conscious, so thats a bonus!

Well, have a great night gals - I would LOVE to lose as much as possible before getting pg, so Im gung-ho about keeping this up - already trying to think about what Im going to incorporate for the next challenge.

See you tomorrow - day 2!

Britt

Lindor 10-09-2006 08:04 AM

Done!!!

500 hundred step-ups and day one down!! :D

But I get the feeling you two are working harder than me??? Should I be doing something else as well as the step ups???

So far as the rest of the day goes...

I ate to plan! I have had my three litres of water...and some more while doing my step ups.

I am also in the process of planning a 'get away' break early January...I reckon I'd have deserved it by then!! But...I'd like to be close to goal by then too.

And Britt, I can't say I have ever met anyone who gets excited about period cramps :p But I understand, and I am hoping it all goes well for you.

I am off to have a shower, I am all sweaty and icky!!!

PerthChick 10-09-2006 08:26 AM

Lindor, I can't believe you don't think you're working as hard as Britt and me. I just experimented, and did 50 step-ups after I read your post … and I almost needed oxygen :-). If I tried for 500 I would be unconscious!

Great work girls! I'm really happy that we all made it through Day One with our dignity intact … so here's wishing us all success tomorrow.

:-)
Ani

plumptobump 10-09-2006 06:27 PM

Good morning girls on day 2! Hows everyone feeling? I didnt sleep too well (Carters fault), but am coping...

Have a great day everyone - check in today! :)

Lindor 10-09-2006 06:35 PM

I slept like a log!!!

And I am in no pain after my first 500!!

I am all ready for Day 2 :D

Ani? Are you alive?? :p

I have to admit I was doing blocks of 100 step-ups then sitting for 5 minutes then another 100 step-ups...

I guess my next 21 day challenge would be to do more steps between rests?

I'll post again this evening with a final report for day 2.

Have a good day girls!!!

PerthChick 10-09-2006 07:04 PM

Good morning, and yes I have survived :-).

I weighed in this morning, and was 99.8kg – which is a drop of 0.7kg from this time last week. Thank goodness the scales have finally shifted in the right direction.

OK, here we go – Day Two. I'm going to walk for an hour and do some weights with my dumb bells today, and I feel pretty motivated to get it done.

Good luck with today everyone. I'll report in this evening.

:-)
Ani

Yeah here i am FINALLY!!!
I have just read from page 43(where i became MIA) and that took me nearly an hour...i downed 1 litre of water whilst doing it though. Thanks everyone for your concern about my whereabouts...where to begin.....

Back at Page 43 i was not feeling 100%. I ended up with the dreaded flu and boy did it hit hard. It went thru the whole family like wildfire literally. The 4 of us where so sick. Well we got over that (that took about 10 days or soish) and then went camping for the school hols. Anybody want to buy a used only once tent. Definititely not my thing....beds went flat in the night, dirt, sticks, forgot the tent pegs, sore back, smelt of smokey fire etc etc...YUK. The rest of the fam loved it...next time they can go by themselves!!!

Got back...heaps of washing...definitely not worth all the work it created. Then i ended up in hospital with another bowel infection. I have a dodgy bowel which they want to whip out(not happy with that decision) so i end up with diareah or not at all, pain etc etc all the time. So that threw me for 6 for a while. Got out of hosp. and the computer has been dead. Its been to the hospital as well and now we're all better. Actually the computer is new and improved with Broadband and more RAM...whoo hoo.

So that is briefly me over about 3 weeks or so. Needless to say Diet??? I am not even game enough to weigh myself just yet as i know i have gained....my clothes are all tighter:devil:

Glad to read you all are doing 21 day thingo. I will be just glad to be back on track again. Started yesterday but did manage a muffin:dizzy: I am still not 100% so am easing back into it(great excuse eh).

Lindor...have you sold your house yet or any offers? Thanks for your email too...i have only just checked it just now. You are a great friend to think of me:hug:

Ani...you are doing great and have such determination..hows the archilles?

Britt...you go girl for your baby...what an exciting time and to think you will boost your metabolism....lucky thing.

Kathy...are the Tonys still doing it for you? I was on them for about 6 weeks...can't afford them anymore but i must agree they are soooo convenient and yummy and do work...keep going..

Thats me for now...sorry it was so long....i will post daily from now on(I promise) as i am not getting sick anymore and will be getting skninnier from now on. I would like to lose 6kg by Xmas too Lindor...3s not enough for me either...too impatient...Thanks girls and have a good dayxxxleeny:hug:

Oh Leeny! You poor chook!!! We kinda thought something must have been wrong with you mia for so long! Glad you are back and feeling better...my goodness! We missed you for sure! Your 21-day challenge then is to get back to 100% health and back on track with eating - take it slow my friend! :)

I, like you Leeny and Lindor, want to lose more than 3kg by Christmas - would love about 10, but would be happy with 7. Might have to work harder than normal, but I think its completely do-able!

Ani, yay for the loss!! Glad the scale finally got back on track! :)

Anyway, havent walked yet - will be on the treadmill as soon as Dh comes home to watch Carter. I think I will stick to the treadmill until my sister leaves and MIL arrives - she loves taking walks with us. But my sister likes running, so dont really want to leave her here alone while we walk, ya know? Plus I can put my ipod on and just enter a different world for a while...mmm.

Ok girls, will check back in tonight. Have a wonderful day!

leeny, it's wonderful to see you pop in here. Sorry you have been having such a torrid time of it, but I'm really glad you're back. YAY!!!

My achilles is still giving me a bit of grief, but it's strapped up, and I have a heel raiser thingy in my shoe – and that seems to be helping somewhat.

I've been pretty good sofar today. I've walked (only for half an hour), and then have spent three hours moving books and bookshelves. And I will slap anyone who tells me that isn't exercise :-).

I want a nanna nap now, but I wouldn't dare. I've got about 1000 books sitting in my kitchen waiting to be re-shelved – and if I don't get up and do it now, they'll still be there next week!

Ani, just so you know, they say that housework is VERY good exercise... :)
