jolly -- A pause day is like a free day. Go back to the first post of this thread for all the details. And "food porn" is what we call talking about food that doesn't belong on any kind of reducing diet, and what we like to avoid talking about here as it defeats the purpose and could lead others astray or cause a lapse of resolve... like going on saying, "oh, I just had the most delicious chocolate layer cake (food porn) and then I pigged out on a whole pint of the most scrumptious Haagen Daazs new flavor (food porn)....."

And tay, yes, excellent suggestion from curly. There's nothing unusual about feeling hungry but you have to prepare for those times instead of reaching for junk. You NEVER need the energy of a candy bar. You need something to sustain you and rev your brain again for more work. Eggs are great for the brain-boosting protein. Grab an apple or pack some other easily eaten fruit for energy and low assimilation into your system. Stay away from the refined sugar!

Tay, talk to curly about low-glycemic foods. She's our thread spokesperson. Cream of wheat is highly refined. Best to go with All-Bran or some nonsugary cereal or slow-cooking oats if you gotta have cereal.

So we have monkeys in trees, and sloths in trees, and a fish out of water because she didn't get to work out yesterday either. I don't care what time I get home tonight - I will do at least 30 minutes of exercise so I can log a day one!

CBETA - I'm 36 and still have to sit when I put my socks on I can put everything else on standing. Just think - between your losing weight and your balancing whilst dressing, you will be able to audition for the ballet russe.

Red - your stating that the Japanese grandmothers will tell you that you are fat reminds me that I forgot to tell you all that the philipina lady who gave me my massage on the cruise told me I was fat. After my massage, the lady tried to sell me on the products. Guess what her pitch was? Give up? She told me that I was gaining weight and had cellulite and needed to buy these "external detoxification" products. B*tch. Worse, I sat there and agreed with her. Even though 1) I don't have cellulite and 2) I have actually lost 10 pounds in the past 4 months. I was still all sniffly and sad about it the next morning, and DH went up and spoke to the spa manager (and we canceled our other spa appointments).

YA one should NEVER run down 14 mile in pants that are two big and of course i go comando and i have a burnt *** from tanning at the gym... oh and also yes excerise was before AI audtions heheh

oh i dont have to have it and i know it aint that good for me and i hardly eat it anyway... i was just starving this morning and it was quick and easy... just add a little hot water and ur good to go

Fish -- Japanese grandmothers? No, Japanese racehorse trainers and chai's grandmother! But, I bet the Japanese grandmothers would say something too. The nerve of that masseuse. Obviously she was just saying that as a sales spiel. Ignore, totally! But, heck, yeah, who needs that kind of talk? Bet she got the ax! And I'm expecting a good report next post!!

freaky -- Good for you. But, wow, running down the street with pants around your ankles! "Going commando" and burnt As! You are something else. I love it! And you better be laughing about exercise BEFORE any boob tube or I am not going to be happy. Oh, no. fishwoman i am so sorry about your cruise... i think i woulda either been in tears or had to hit the woman

but your post did make me think

is cellulite really a lost cause we can do nothing about?? i have heard about all the creams and lotions and suranwraps and also heard that they dont really work... i have had BAD cellulite on my thighs and butt for years even when i was a size 6 i still had it and had it bad... the more weight i have put on the worse it has gotten and i now have it around my knees and its horrible !!

Update at last...

1. No sweets & 10 mins stationary bike (level 3, no free days left)
Completed Day 17 yesterday, Thur, Jan 19th.

2. Exercises for thighs and abs (level 2, one pause day left)
Completed Day 11 yesterday.

3. Fruit eating challenge (level 1, one pause day left)
Completed day 10 yesterday.

Haven't started anything new yet - still no work schedule. But the good thing is that I've been doing stationary biking in the morning every day but Thursday (when I forgot to set my alarm and woke up just early enough to make it to work on time!). I can't wait to be done with my second challenge though... it's a pain and I'm not too sure it actually yields any results...

my grandmother *did* actually call my boyfriend out for having gained weight since she saw him last...

and freaky, I have to say that *running* and *going commando* sounds like a nightmare of chafing in unmentionable areas....yowch!

red - I have made an official mental note to avoid all japanese racehorse trainers and grandmothers until I am svelte and tiny. Thanks for da tip.

I hope that mean old cruise lady got canned. I was just thinking about planning a massage/spa day for boyfriend and I on our anniversary trip this weekend but now I am having second thoughts b/c I don't want to deal with the low self-esteem horror of my miles of flesh being rubbed by a stranger. Maybe we'll just go to the movies and shop and eat *food porn* instead.

ok please bear with me lol im such a "newbie" on message boards.. first order of buisenss (im also a horrible speller) i was laughing so hard at the excerise before hand... TO TAY I AM NOT A SLACKER! she has known me since i was 13 ish lol also going comando and running isnt as hard as u would think not so much chafage but my face and my butt seemed to match in color for quite a while

But i did it dang it day two complete

hey do i get bouns day for the embarressment factor
