Whoo-hoo Kim!! That's a fantastic loss! I'm thinking that I can also arrive in Onderland in September!

Mo - OMG, those cookies must have been good to have your DH tell you to never make them again! How funny. I made pound cake and my DH uct it up in slices and put it in the freezer for later! It must have been good to him, because he was loving me after he tasted it!!! MEN!

Sarah - I've been discovering more about the mind body connection also. With food as well as exercise. I notice that when I'm exercising and thinking about my body...the muscles working...how I want to sculp my body...I get a much better workout that when I'm reading a magazine or book. I start moving slower when I'm reading. Just me.

Well, my weight in wasn't too good yesterday. It is TOM and I was up 3 pounds!!! I know it's water, but still...

Well, I'm off to do my Pilates. CBL.

Nori - I'm glad you are discovering the mind body connection, too. I see people running on the treadmill and reading, and I can't help but wonder how they don't fall! But seriously, I've also read your muscles get a better work out when you're actually thinking about it. What a neat idea. So far, on disc one, this self hypnosis guy is saying that if you tell yourself over and over "I'm fat" then your mind will give the message to your body and your body will comply. He also goes into a lot of other reasons why people carry extra weight. And he mentions that you shouldn't try to fit anyone else's ideals, you should acheive "YOUR PERFECT WEIGHT." I really like that idea.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

well morning everyone.. gonna be a hot one here today!! pool is not warm enough for my body yet.. but kids go in it... I went out to the movies with DD and we saw lake house.. i won't tell you about it in case you want to see it.. glad we got to go and get out.. i did not eat much dinner (salad with some turkey) knowing I would be eating popcorn.. can't break that yet... and I know everyday weight flucuates so a weekly or monthly reading is the best and then avg .. but still it is an addiction for me... but today scales were up a pound from yesterday..so i am gonna keep my weekly weight at yesterdays.. haha.. it says I have reached my goal!! my first 10 lbs gone...

sarah- what disc are you referring to.. I would like to hear more about it.. I believe there is some truth to that.. I see you are steadily going down on your scale.. what calorie range or plan are you doing?? sorry I don't know that yet..

Nori- That dreaded TOM .. what a bugger but it will soon be over and normalcy will return.. do you find you have to do anything different to help with weight gain or bloating..or anything that helps.. I hear walking helps with bloating.. i try water pills if it gets really bad.. i also hear tomatoes is supposed to be good.. keep up your good work.. !! so many goals met..

MO- I will have to look back over the posts to find out what cookies Nori is talkin about..

ok well tata til later.. Kim

Hey Kim! Thumbs up or thumbs down on the movie? I started out doing weight watchers. However, it was very tedious for me to always be figuring out the points and journaling. So I've slacked off. I am trying to eat less processed food, and make better choices. Have you read the book Superfoods Rx? It's amazing. You really look at food differently when you think about what you can do for your body. (Don't get me wrong - I'm still having slip up days where I have donuts and everything....I'm trying to reduce it every day.)

Default hypnosis

i bought a hypnosis cd one time and tried it but your suppose to relax and just sit back and listen but I was never able to relax cause even once my kids go to sleep I have to listen out for them cause when my husband falls asleep he's dead to the world. Even when he's awake he does't hear them half the time. I've been trying to find what I did with it so I could give it another try but I have no idea what happened to it.

My hair was down to my waste and it was getting on my nerves so I had it cut the other day. It's pretty short. I do that every few years. I let my hair grow all the way down and then get it all cut off and I've always donated it for the wigs for children going through kemo and I could have kicked myself cause I had thought about it all day and then completely forgot until I got up from the chair and saw all my hair lying on the floor.

Default Thursday

Hi ladies:

I was off yesterday for the kids last day of school. I went to DS school and then we went strawberry picking. DD had a party and then her piano recital so it was a busy day. The pool filled up last night. Tonight I'll start the pump/filter and hopefully the water will warm up, we threw a solar cover on last night...I don't know if they work or not??

Kim: congrats on the loss!!!

A quick hello to everyone else, busy this morning after taking a day off.

Mo

hi everyone..

mo.. yes those solar covers work awesome!!! but you have to leave it on.. a few days .. mine did not want to wait that long.. so just covering it in the evening and a little in the am it warms up 1 degree each day ours is 74 now.. it was 69 when we opened it.. as far as exercises in pool... the stuff i do is lay on back then using your arms get your legs to the fromnt of you then you are on your stomach and I go back and forth like that.. hard to explain,, but you will feel it in your abs.... experiment..

the movie (LAKE HOUSE) was good, thumbs up..a little slow, won't tell you anymore tho..

did my watp 2 mi.. i like how I feel afterwards... i find in summer i gravitate towards more fruits and veggies.. just don't feel like big heavy stuff, and I get fuller faster... any of you like that?? hope it helps me lose those pounds!!

The dreaded scales have crept back up to 232... i know it is just flucuating but it is still annoying.. i should be in the 220's next week for sure.. i am a bit hungry so i will go eat.. see you all later!!! Kim

I swear my 14 month old knows the keyboard. I had a long post all ready to hit enter and she hit the Esc button once again!

Talking about movies. I watched Freedomland last night. I wasn't overly impressed. I usually love Samuel L. Jackson movies, but this one was just so sad to me. I need to go see The DiVinci Code still. Anyone seen it? How did it compare to the book? I loved the book.

I'm down 4 pounds form Monday, so my TOM water weight is off.

Kim - I love fresh fruit and veggies, so summer is a much easier time for me to eat healthy too. We're on our 5th watermelon in the last 10 days or so!! And cherries are almost here. I make these killer cherry chicken lettuce wraps. Yum!

Serena - I'm like you - let my hair get real long and then chop it all off! I've only donated to Locks of Love 1 time though - they need 12 inches and usually I don't let it get that long.

Melina wasn't acting like herself this am, so I'm not going to the gym. I'll see how she is later on and we'll go for a walk outside. It's supposed to hit 85-90 today though.

Hi everyone!

Did I mention that I'm starting a part time job on Monday? I haven't worked (outside of the home) for 2.5 years. I went and bought some new make-up yesterday. I have turned into a mascara and lipgloss girl since staying home all the time. I bought some new lipstick and blush. Anyone tried Clinique's Black Honey lipstick? It's so nice. Don't let the "black" scare you off - it's not goth-like at all! Semi-sheer almost a berry. So many of my friends like it - it really looks good on anyone I think - no matter your coloring.

Kim - I could never get by on so little food! Is that a low day for you? I was LOL about your coffee though. I have to add so many calories in for my coffee too because of my addiction to coffeemate!! I use the flavored full sugar stuff that's like 35 calories a T. So I eat like 100 calories of Coffeemate a day.

Well, today we were planning on going up to the mountains for a hike, but Melina woke up so tight in her chest and coughing. She's had mild cold-like symptoms for a coupple days, but today she is sick.

BTW - I saw the preview for Lake House yesterday and it does look good. I justrented 8 Below and want to watch it this weekend.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. And a healthy one!
