Default Tuesday

Hello ladies:

Boy am I hungry!!! I started off good yesterday but it didn't stick, I didn't pig out but I'm sure I went over my 26 points...probably 35 or so.

I do my bargain hunting at tag sales, estate sales, salvation army, goodwill, and classified ads. My latest buy was at a tag sale at a local farm, they had a lot of vendors and a woman was selling her entire collection of Boyds Bears. She was selling them for $10 each or 5 for $20 which didn't make any sense but anyway I bought 5 for $20 because she had a monkey and my daughter loves monkeys. Anyway, I found that one of them (Victoria Bearybright) sold on eBay for $88.00 and they have one with a Buy It Now option for $269.00!!! The other four pieces weren't valuable at all so I'll give them to my daughter for her birthday! Victoria is going on the auction block soon! Now, I wish I had bought more. I guess this one is valuable because it was a Yankee Candle exclusive bear. I also bought my husband a box of old Penn salt water reels for $20 which he later told me he didn't want to hurt my feelings but didn't want them. Friday I got two quilts and a rug at an estate sale, I think I overpaid for them but I'm keeping them for my sun porch so as long as I liked them it was worth it I guess.

Where is everyone??? I'm hoping to walk tonight during DD soccer practice. Last night my TOM was so bad though. I couldn't wait to get out of the grocery store, when I got home I laid down and slept fully clothed from 8 p.m to 5 a.m.!!! I've got to get this period under control, it's going on 4 weeks now.

Hope to hear from everyone soon.

Mo

Default Wednesday

Hello ladies:

I guess everyone is busy. It's raining here today and it seems my pattern the last few days has been breakfast good, lunch good and dinner whatever I want. Well I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad!

I didn't walk last night because it was raining. I did start to organize the CDs, movies, etc. with my son. Right now there's crap all over the place so hopefully we'll finish his room tonight and then I can concentrate on my room and DD room. Luckily, the school is having a used book drive so I have a place to bring all the books.

DD wants to make her own soup so we'll be chopping and dicing and in the kitchen for a while tonight I guess. Nothing else new, I hope everyone checks in soon.

Sorry I've not been here this week. We have a big engagement party planned tomorrow for my sister and I've been cleaning and doing yard work for days! Finally everything is ready except for the shopping. Gotta go do that this afternoon. Melina is doing a little better - still doing nebulizer treatments every 6 hours and she's getting her appetite back. Poor thing. I hate it when my kids are sick.

I'm maintaining my weight this week. I haven't done any "official" cardio or pilates for a week now - but I sure can feel all the cleaning and gardening in my muscles!

I will be back next week! Have a great weekend ladies!

Default Friday!!

Hi ladies: I guess everyone is busy!

Nori: I hope Melina is better soon. You'll feel so good that you've got the house and yard done I'm sure. Have fun at the party!

Sarah: I can actually can go to tag sales tomorrow morning! My daughter has a night game and my son is playing soccer on Sunday. My son has a friend coming over Saturday but not till 2 pm!!

As for tonight, both kids have soccer practice one from 5-6 and the other from 6-7:15 that makes for along time! Actually I hired my nephew yesterday to watch the kids for me after school so I don't have to take so much time off from work. He'll bring my son to practice tonight and then I'll just have to pick him up when I bring my daughter. Last night I just picked up a pizza on the way home and my nephew said the kids had their homework done. Thanks to that I was able to finish cleaning my sons room. I ended up with 3 small trash bags of junk and two boxes of videos and games the kids don't want anymore. Tonight I'll try to attack my daughters room and then the family room over the weekend.

DD is having her party at our house next Friday night and I know at least one mother is coming to stay for the entire time (her daughter has seizures) so I'll have to plan some grown up food/snacks. Do you think 10 ten year old girls will keep themselves occupied for 3 hours? I wanted to plan some games just in case. So far I bought a valley ball kit to set up and I'm going to borrow my neighbors homemade outdoor beanbag game, depending on the weather I was thinking maybe water balloons, relay races, etc. I also bought 4 hula hoops and 4 balls. We have a basketball hoop and a cul de sac so I was thinking of drawing a 4-square on the pavement. I also bought little inexpensive toys for game prizes. For food I think I'll do pizza, snacks, punch, cake, etc. Any other ideas???

Thanks, Mo.

Notice I didn't mention a word about dieting!!

Post on the road again and off

Hello ladies, or rather it seems hello Mo! It seems everyone has spring fever. I have actually been helping my parents move. We drove ( my husband and I ) to Cleveland on Thursday and then we moved them to Northern Virginia yesterday and then back to Southwest Virginia where I am at. It was a long haul for two days. We slept a good part of today. I am happy to have my parents back in state. They are only 3 hours away now. And my mom is now only about 25 minutes away from her Liver Specialist. That makes me very happy. I have only one session left with my trainer, I am looking forward to it but I am going to miss him. Right now with TOM and a very bad cold I feel like two ton Tess. We have alot to do tomorrow outside. We are actully attempting a garden this year. It will be a miracle if we get anything to grow. Well, I think I am going to go to bed and take some cold medicine. Hopefullly I will feel better in the morning. Hope to hear from all of you!
LOL, Catherine

Default Monday

Hello ladies:

Well it looks like we're in a ghost town here! I haven't been doing good on eating but I did ride my bike yesterday to the town dock with my son and back 5 miles! (yes my *** is killing me today!) and I walked about a mile total to and from his soccer game. I also did a little yardwork and planted some containers with annuals.

This Friday is my daughter's birthday party and I did most of the shopping already, I just need candy for the pinata and a few decorations, balloons, etc. I think I'll just order pizzas for the party and make the cake myself.

My hip has really been sore lately, I've got to get on my pilates machine! I think I'll go take some advil now. Check in later and hopefully will see some posts here!!!!

Hey girls! *wavin* Remember me??? It's been forever since I've been on - well, since March I think ... anyway, sorry I haven't been around it's springtime and that's when our business really picks up. (we have a land surveying company)

Not too much has changed with me (weight wise) maybe just a couple of pounds (lost of course!) ... I've totally stopped counting calories and I know that's hurting me - Time to revamp and find my losing zone again ... goodness knows that I have too much to lose to plateau/maintain now!

I know I've missed SO much so just bear with me while I try to get back into the swing of things!

Hope you're all having a blessed day and I can't wait to read of all the success!

Hi strangers! I'm back! Except now DH is off for 3 days so we'll be out a lot and that mean I will not be online...

Nice new pic, Stacye!

Melina is almost totally better now.

I felt so bloated this morning that I didn't even weigh myself. I went off plan this weekend - in a very bad way. Doing good today though and am determined to stay on course. I cannot let myself get comfortable with just meeting my first goal. I want so much more for myself and family!

I'll check in tomorrow. Maybe I'll weigh mysefl and see the damage done.

Well, I did weigh myself this morning. I am up 4.5 freaking pounds! I don't feel like adjusting all my numbers here, so I just will not show any weight loss until I get back down to 225.5. I know some of it is water, but still!! I'm very bloated and unable to take my rings off. I am slowly learning that no matter what is happening around me I have to take time to exercise - no matter how busy I am. No excuses!!

So on that note, we're off to the gym.

Nori :: We all have *those* kind of weigh-ins ... you've done an awesome job so far, so don't sweat it too bad - besides, they won't be around long anyway!
Oh and big congrats for going to the gym!

Where the heck is everyone at?? Come on ladies - report in!
LoL - Don't I sound like someone who wasn't MIA for the last 2 mths??

So this morning the scale said 226 - so if .5 pounds is the true damage, I'm just fine!

Hi there ladies! I would like to join you in your weight loss journey. I'm chatting on another "accountability" 3fc website also but thought if I joined more than one, I could get feedback more often? What type of eating plan are you girls doing? I'm counting points but trying to eat the southbeach way - better carbs and not so much white stuff. I'm anxious to hear how you all handle hurdles - weekends are my hardest - any tips? I love pizza. Have a nice Mother's Day!
