Default Wednesday

Hi ladies:

Where is everyone lately? I've not done that well today (gumdrops). I did do some raking outside yesterday. I can't believe I didn't gain weight yet, I'm waiting for it to show up on the scale because I have been eating extremely bad.

I'll check back tomorrow, I like to pretend I'm busy when the boss is here

Mo

I'm getting in a rut of only doing yardwork and no cardio. Gotta break this cycle. I love getting some sun too. I do wear sunscreen now though.

Sorry - I have a confession - I had a binge last night. Home alone, girls in bed and I didn't follow my own rules of waiting for a few minutes before making a decision. Usually I can talk myself out of a binge. Anyways, I made a little batch of those no bake oatmeal cookies - your know with PB, cocoa, butter, milk...bad idea. Why do I think I can just eat one and put the others away? Sometimes I can. But I cannot be trusted alone yet. I NEVER binge in front of my girls or DH or anyone else for that matter. I ate the entire small batch (not so small actually: like 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 c butter, 1/4 c PB, 1 1/2 c oats!!!) - most of them before they were even cooled and have a terrible headache today.

Sorry to be a downer. This is my ugly side. But, I'm in a good frame of mind today and not going to let it get me down. In my right frame of mind, I sit here and wonder "When will I learn?". Being honest is a start.

Welcome Nancy!

Danielle, Nori & Mo - I love pilates, too. My friend at work just gave me 4 Winsor Pilates dvds, so now I have those in addition to the basic set. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm really looking forward to getting into them!!

Mary - what's the blue screen?

Nori - I binge sometimes, too. But unlike you, it's always in public! Social gatherings, I snack and snack and snack until I'm in PAIN from being so full. I'm getting better, and that's what counts. I'm aware it's a problem.

Mo - I'm with you - we've been a quiet group lately! We need to get back to our posting more.

Back to work for me! Happy Thursday everyone! Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!

Default Mia

Hi everyone, I've been gone awhile. I haven't even been worrying about what I eat. I've been so stressed and depressed to care. I'm not sure that I'm even capable of getting out of it right now I just thought I would check in to see if it would help me. I have managed to stay active though. I walk atleast every other day but usually everyday.

I AM IN SEARCH OF A USED RICKSHAW/PEDICAB: I live in the same neighborhood as my mother and I live very close to the school. I was discussing with my mother how expensive gas is and we came up with the idea that I need one of the 3 seater rickshaws to shuttle my kids around in so I don't have to load them in the van to go to her house. Plus, I can take them to school in it. The bonus being I would get exercise in the process. Unfortunately a brand new one like what I need is about $3000.00 I'm hoping there is someone out there that has a used one that may need some refurbishing for only a few hundred dollars.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully I won't be such a stranger

Sarah: I have tried ebay. They have a lot of the 2 seaters which would probably work while the boys are all so small but for future use I would need the 3 seater but the only 3 seaters are too expensive. I've never heard of craigslist. Is that a web sight?

Post checking in!

Hello ladies! Well, here I am at the end of another week. Eating habits still s***! I have had a ball with my trainer, I am going to miss him after next week.

Thank you all so very much! Knowing that everyone can admit to binging helps. I have been binging a lot. I have stayed bloated with it. I try not to binge in front of others either. If there are other people around , Ihide the food until I can get to it in a private place. I know what I am doing wrong and kind of what I need to fix it, I guess I am just more at a loss then I think. I went on the eating disorders forum and found something that fits me to a tee. Haven't talked to my doctor about it yet. Then of course a lot of it is habit too.

Nori, I would have eaten the whole batch too. I love preacher cookies! I know that does not make you feel better, but I figured I would tell you! My legs are much tighter. I skated in shorts last week and a friend of mine said she couldn't even see in cellulite. She said she saw muscle when I was skating. Then of course I was not wearing a pair of Daisy Duke's! HEHE

MO, I hope you are doing well. I need to get in touch with you. Hopefully tomorrow I can sit down and write.

Hello to everyone else. Hope all is doing better then me! Dinner time so I will talk to all of you later!

Catherine

Catherine - I believe I have something of an "eating disorder" also. I've never looked over in that section here. Probably something of an "ignore it and it'll go away thing"? Yeah, right, since I've been in this cycle for over 15 years now. I am the fat person who always eats "healthy" in front of everyone - while they must be rolling their eyes at me because obviously I didn't get this body eating clean foods!

BUT, I actually enjoy eating healthy.

I love how I feel when I'm not eating lots of sugar or fatty foods.

I love how my skin looks from eating healthy.

And I like how my moods are even when I eat balanced and healthy!

The extreme guilt that is associated with binging sucks. Since I have kids now I can never binge in my car which was in the past my favorite spot. And since I never do it in front of anyone, it has been happening less and less -- but I have to deal with it because what happens when I start working again and am alone in my car, or my girls are in school and I'm home alone? I am learning more about intuitive eating these past 2 weeks. While I haven't had another binge since that cookie one a few days ago - I guess I haven't quite forgiven myself and have been doing some restriction of food during the day and then getting so hungry by night and overeating sometimes.

I long to find balance for this part of my life. Everything else in my life is so good - and I'm happy and content except for this issue. It's a heavy burden.

Sorry for the ME post. Just had to unload. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It's 80 here and I've been outside in the yard a lot. I love the Hawaiian Tropics (I think that's the name) self tanner. It's really evening out my lines I get while working outside.

Hey ladies! It's been a while since I last posted. I've been quietly maintaining, but not working out at all (except for walking a lot around school, the mall, etc.). Prom was last night, the theme was "A Night in the Spotlight". We even had our own red carpet! My dress fit perfectly - it hugged the curves in the right places, so I was very happy. The first attached picture is a closeup of me, and the second is a more full-body shot of me and my boyfriend (with sinister red eyes!)

Now that prom is over I don't have to worry about my dress not fitting. I'm going to start exercising a lot again. I love the way exercise makes me feel!

I have an interview for a major scholarship tomorrow and I'm EXTREMELY nervous. Wish me luck!

Default Monday

Hi ladies:

Well, I bit the bullet today and weighed in after several weeks of not dieting or exercising. I gained 2 lbs. but I guess it could have been much worse. It's a wake up call to get back on track. I'm going to try to concentrate on walking and exercising and hopefully then the eating right will fall into place.

Serena: www.craigslist.org is the website then you click on the city that's closest to you (on the right margin). Then look for the block that says "for sale" and then look in baby/kids category. This is a great site and it's free to post classifieds. I've used it before to sell and buy.

Nothing much new here except my bargain hunting on Friday and Saturday, I'll make a profit reselling some of it

I bought some annuals and DD and I filled four of the plastic bag hanging things yesterday. The bag holds 10-12 flower plugs and then will hopefully fill out into a big hanging display of flowers. We have two more to make and I have a wheelbarrow to fill with flowers as well. I'm not a good gardener but I'd also like to try some perennials this year.

We're thinking of buying a used above ground pool for the kids this summer. There's a guy near us that's selling one for $75.00. I don't really like the looks of above ground pools but the in-ground are too expensive and as long as I get maybe 5 years out of the pool then I don't mind trashing it. By then the kids will be teenagers and will probably prefer the beach. DH has to take it down though and then put it up in our yard, I think it's too much work but he said he'd do it.

I'm still trying to plan a deck too. DH has been busy and I can't decide between a small deck and larger patio or just a large deck.

Well that's all that's new here.

Nori: don't sweat the binge, at least you admit it.
Catherine: great on the rollerskating! Send some exercise motivation my way.
Sarah: how's the househunting going?
Katie: great dress and photo!
Mary: I hope your computer problems are all fixed

Talk to you girls tomorrow!

Morning everyone! It's great to read your posts. It looks like we all have taken a little break here and there. LOL I'm ready to be back on track. I even brought my lunch today, instead of planning on going out and pigging out.

Mo-We found a house! We close on it a week from today.

I was all ready to stick to plan today, but my baby got so sick during the night - and I grabbed a p&b sandwich on the run this morning along with a 16 oz latte - not "bad", but not my "plan" of a nice protein shake with fruit... She's has a cold/cough for about 5 days, but it developed into wheezing and sleeplessness for all of us. Anyways, I took her in and she has pneumonia, bronchitis, RAD and a really bad runny nose. She's on nebulizer teratments every 4 hours and a strong antibiotic. Hope she's feeling back to her perky self soon.

Mo - I'm doing lots of yardwork also. It's suppoed to get really windy here this afternoon - 40+ mph winds - so I'm not planning to going out today. Glad you are getting back on track. 2 pounds isn't bad at all.

I'm actually up 1 pound this morning. I'm not sweating it though. My exercise hasn't been all that great and my eating has been sloppy.

Katie - you looked stunning for your prom!! Glad you had a fun night!!

Well, got to go do some housework. You should see my list of stuff to do!

Hi everyone!!

Thanks for the compliments My interview went well, but I felt wiped out afterwards. I'm glad it's over with! It was for a $4,000 a year scholarship. I might have a chance! Eating's been good today, but I feel absolutely no motivation to work out. Not really sure why. Hmm.

Nori - I hope your daughter gets better soon!
Mo- Your bargain hunting sounds interesting. Where do you buy your items at? (yard sales, flea markets, etc.)

Talk to you ladies tomorrow (hopefully)!
