Maintained through the weekend!!! Even with hubby cooking yesterday - little options for me to keep on track when he cooks. I give hime Sundays and that can be my "free" day as long as I was good the rest of the week.

Have a great week girls.

Heya Ladies ... remember ME? Sorry I've been MIA the last few weeks ... things with work have been really busy - I promise to make time to be here and be more supportive!

Congrats to all the 'Losers'!

I'll have to get caught up before I do personals ... so I'll be back in a bit to do some.

Happy Losing!

Thanks all for the welcomes! It feels great to have people supporing you and knowing there is a group of people here all with the same goal.

For those who remember my story I posted last week, I was doing really well on a diet until my boyfriend and I broke-up and I was gutted. I ended up gaining back about 14 pounds. The lowest I got when dieting was 187 June 2005. Today I weighed myself and I was at 193.8

The intersting news... The ex is living in Texas now and I haven't seen him since we broke up in June. He's coming to visit me this coming June. Roughly 18 weeks from now.

It might be for the wrong reasons but I am DETERMINED to lose 34 pounds when he comes. That would put me at 160. I know it's a bit aggressive but he broke my heart ladies. We're still very good friends but it's important to me that I look better than ever when I see him.

I am more motivated than I've ever been.

Default Back on track

WHEW! I'm back ladies! And I only managed to gain 1 pound! I ate a fairly good breakfast every morning (milk&cereal with a banana) and I was proud of most of my food choices. However, I did give in to tempatation a few times - I ate a milkshake and a few brownies but nothing too serious. I'm confident I will be able to get back on plan today!

I woke up this morning and school was canceled because of SNOW so I will have plenty of time to catch up on all the posts I missed!

Wow! To all you ladies in the snowstorms, be safe! Being stationed in the desert, you wouldn't think I've seen snow out here, but believe it or not, last year it did snow. It was so gorgeous.

To the LOSERS in the group - WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing work, everyone!

Hope everyone has a great day,
Sarah

New here! Was posting in another thread, but we'd dwindled down to just three of us, and it looks like they moved here. (Hi Maureen/MoNewEngland!) I've been pretty busy the last couple weeks and been lurking mostly. Been doing terrible with the exercise, but am doing great at the portion control and making wiser food decisions.

The scale has been moving very slowly, but I am down 1 lb this week. I was hoping for 2 so that I could get into the 20X range by Valentines, but oh well. I did not even make it 1/2 way to my Valentines goal, but I did make progress in the right direction and am trying to focus on that fact and not be discouraged. I think my next mini-goal will be an April Fools one.

DH is out of town this week at a training class, so it'll be much easier to stay on target at home. Anyway, we're on our way to a birthday lunch - going to Razoos - yay, fish!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Sounds like almost everyone weighs in on Mondays here? Me too. I was down to 246.5 - so down 2.5 pounds. I'm cool with that. Must be some water loss though because according to the math (I log everything on Nutridiary.com) I should only have lost 1.4 pounds even with all the exercise I did. I had a somewhat high calorie week - averaging out to 1,800 calories a day - which is actually my HIGH limit - not supposed to be the normal!!! So this weeks goal is to stick at 1,500 calories. I broke my 1,000 minutes February exercise goal this morning doing the BL High Intensity cardio and strength/weights segments. So moved my new goal out to 1,500.

As far as goals Tina - we have to be soooooo forgiving when we set them and then don't quite make it. I have a April 1 goal too. I think I can do it. BTW - This is a GREAT group and gals + J! We've had some come and go, but mostly stay!! What is Razoos? I gather it's seafood, but we don't have them here in Washington.

Lisa - Is Valentine's a big food problem around you? Like snacks at work? Good luck! You'll be fine. You're doing great! When I worked it was TERRIBLE. Plus drug reps bringing in special goodie bags for everyone... I was so much happier when they'd bring in tickets to the Mariners or Seahawks or gift certificates to Blockbusters or The Body Shop!! Stuff I didn't have to eat to enjoy.

Welcome home Katie! Was it a competition? Glad you had a good time and you are right on track again!

Hi Stacye!! Glad to see you here again.

Morning Mo! Congrats on your loss! How much snow did you all end up with?

Erin - Maintaining though the weekend is always a good thing!! That's cool that DH cooks one night a week. I'm way to controlling about my food right now to let DH do that. Heck if he had his way we'd eat fried catfish, mashed potatos, cornbead at least once a week! He is health conscious (controls his diabetes with diet and exercise), but he'll eat fried food a couple times a week or so...I guess when you're not trying to lose weight that's Ok.

Woo-hoo Donna!! Way to go on building muscle. I am starting to see some muscles definition pushing through all the fat on my quads too!!

SoccerGirl - That is an aggressive goal! You go girl! Are you and the ex "over" each other? Or is there a possible hook-up again?

Hi Sarah! How's the house hunting going?

Hi Lori, Catherine, Elizabeth and J! And anyone else I missed!

Default children been sick

MomTo2- My 3 boys have all been sick since October. They'll will all be well for a few days and then one will get sick and then the others and it just starts all over again. This last time that my 2 year old got sick he started showing signs of asthma and now has to do breathing treatments. Now my 7 month old has been having trouble breathing and is on breathing treatments now.

I actually think we might should move. I know it sounds funny but my older son use to always have nasal problems and would get stopped up when he would sleep at night and then we went and visited family near the beach and after just a day there he wasn't having trouble at all breathing or sleeping then the night after we got back we were back to the same sleeping habit.

Anyway, hopefully when the weather warms up everybody will be better.

I'm doing good on my diet. Still working on the weight I gained back after the brownie incident but so far so good.

Nori - No, it wasn't a competition (that was over in October, thankfully), it was an honor band. I had to try out to make it, and it's pretty competitive. Thanks for asking, it was very fun

Tina - WELCOME! I know you're gonna have a great time here.

I finally gave away/threw away all of my leftover snacks from this weekend. They were SUCH a temptation. I feel a lot better with them gone!

I'll be back for more personals later!

Serena - that's so rough with sick kids. So sorry you're going though this. A good friend of our had to move to the beach for her health. It has made such a difference for her - everything from depression to her immune system. Do you have one of those big air purifiers in your house? Or maybe just in their bedrooms. Maybe it would help.

Default Hi!

Hi guys,

Nori - no the candy isn't really the problem. Eating at restaraunts sometimes can pose a problem for me, though. I just have to try to eat as nutritious as a meal as I can. I asked for no candy this year, especially no chocolates, so that won't be a problem.

My main problem is that I'm pretty much hungry all the time. I try to eat more frequent, smaller meals to make that better. It seems to be working most of the time.

Serena - sorry your kids are sick. Hope they are better soon!!!

Smile snowy Monday

Hello everyone! So how did all of you fare up in the Northeast. I di not get it too bad here in Va. It was good for sledding though. Well, I did not lose any this week. I did not think that I would. I had an emotional week , which included emotional eating. I did go buy an outfit today that is my goal for April 1st. I am going to the races that weekend, I want to look good. It is withen reason and not beyong being able to do! I don't have time for personals now. Hope everyone is well. Welcome to the new comers! Glad to have you, this is truly a wonderful place to be!
