!!

I have no vibs - lol .

I don't see a connection off hand. He has no special joy for kids and he smokes. I also am busy with the kids and the job - though it "might" be fun to go out with someone and it "might" not.
I guess I am picky with my time *sigh*.

He is nice though and very sweet from what I hear from others in the company. So, he has a good rep.

I am aiming for Christmas to get back down - figure that is plenty of time - if not sooner.

Thanks :) mmmmm, squash sounds good.....acorn.....maybe for dinner with low fat cottage cheese?? yum...........

Afternoon Ladies!!

Well I just got of my gazelle. I did a 40mins workout. Made sure I had sweat pouring off my face!! :D I feel good. I plan on doing some crunches and squats too before I take a shower. I'm so enjoying getting this body of mine back into shape!

I've avoided the scale for months now.....I think I may take a peak at what it says in the morning. I just know I've gained!! We'll see just how much tomorrow!

Katy--The annual apple tasting sounds like fun and yummy too!! Jhanai & I really enjoyed our trip the the farms this year. We didn't do it last year and I felt so bad. But we made up for it this year.

Angie--One of the pumpkins we got was a white one. Jhanai just had to have it. She also picked a bunch of gourds so she could do a center piece for my dining room table. It's a cute little center piece! Happy Thanksgiving to you!! I forgot that you had Thanksgiving in October. Here we are prepping for Halloween and you're enjoying yummy dinners!! Oh! don't forget to put your tracker in your siggy!

Susan--Don't even worry about the little gain you have. You'll lose it in know time. I'm very happy to hear that you stood up for your girl! Sometimes I wonder why adults don't think before they speak! Don't they realize that it affects the child in so many ways?? What a great mother you are!!

Cristi--CONGRATULATIONS on losing 5lbs!! You're doing a marvelous job!! I'm so proud of you! And your in onederland!! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! What an inspiration you are!! Keep up the great work! We'll be cheering for you the entire time!

Jane--Our weather here is a typical Fall day. And I love it. Nice and cool w/the sun shining through my window. I was wanting to ride my bike on the bike trail, but my tires are completely flat!! James will be home tomorrow so I will have him air them up for me so I can add riding to my exercise routine.

Ok...I need to take my mugglies out for a pee break then I'm hauling out the exercise ball to do some crunches and then some squats against the wall. If any of you have the ball and hate to do squats....using the ball up against the wall helps a lot! And boy do you feel it!!

Here's to getting in shape!

Good day ladies,
Susan,,,don't blame you for not wanting to date someone who smokes and doesn't care for kids.
10 lbs loss in 2.5 months,,,sounds like a good plan.
And so what did the principal say to this? I have a VP who ticked me off so bad once that to this day he probably still shudders when he hears my name. The guy was a total nut case.

Jane, I haven't voted cause I don't care where we go,,,checked the cost and its teh same.
The order desk is always open during the holidays except christmas day, new years day and good friday. We have recently started only having to work every second one. I get the next holiday off.

Cristi that is so awesome,,,you must feel more motivated to keep walking.

Well I promised Tan we would go the cheap theatre and see Batman. Monte and I went and saw MR. and Mrs. Smith,,,hilarous laughed so much.
ttfn

You know, Ive been here and at different places in this site..and never once have I had any kind of reply to anything Ive ever said...not even maybe something about my weight. And its not that I wanted any kind of notice but....a welcome would have been nice...so I guess I'll just go on my way...Be happy

The things that are whirling through my head right now...hmmmm

Was watching the tv show I could of been on Taking It Off...I coulda done better...*snicker I am kidding. I don't think I would of been happy being in a bathing suit infront of a camera...Yikes!
Anyways Tan and I watched it and by the tiem the credits were rolling we were struggling up the stairs with the gazelle. So hes taking his turn watching tv...Im killing 20 mintues till its mine. We saw Batman,,,it was good,,,not my thing but Tan and I had a bonding time. Brandon's wardrobe person called...love saying that! Anyways Brandon's wardrobe person called to ask what sizes Brandon wears so they can have his wardrobe ready. I think Im more impressed with that...lol but heck Im so easily impressed.
Ive got 3 loads of laundry to fold...figure I will fall into the pile after the gazelle workout then fold...something soft to break my fall ya know.

I'm sorry you feel so neglected!! We sure didn't intend to make you feel unwelcomed. I had to go and look where you had posted! There have been many who have come and gone w/just posting in the bio thread and sometimes they are overlooked. My apologies to you.

I really do hope you'll reconsider and join us here on the chitchat thread. This area is the place where we do all our yapping, and w/some of us having a hard time getting pages loaded on our computer, the chitchat thread is the first and only spot we go to.

So I hope you'll accept our apologies and do know that you are MORE than welcome to join us. We'd all love to hear more from you and get to know you better. Would you reconsider????

Mom2Gaby 10-11-2005 10:45 AM

Welcome!!!!!

Along with Marti I offer apologies to Janet. Looking closer I don't think I have offered welcomes to Linda, Connie, or Cheryl, so sorry!

:welcome3: :welcome3: :welcome3:

Chit Chat is the only thread I make a point to go with my limited time and figure if I can just manage a hello I am doing good. I really only talk about myself :dz: :dz: - lol

ok,.........I need to go. Tons to do today. Have water, carrot sticks, and tomatoes to munch on.

Wishing you all a great Tuesday!!

Mom2Gaby 10-11-2005 10:49 AM

Angie -

I forgot you!!! :) I mean 23 pounds by Christmas because I want to be down to 140. 10 pounds is what I have gained in the last 6 weeks.
I think I can do it or at least get close - feeling so depressed about it.

HUGS and hope to see you soon with the JL meeting - wherever it is going to be. If it is in Las Vegas we can gamble :) - if we can sneak past curfew with Ma Jane - lol

chat later :)

FrouFrou 10-11-2005 12:57 PM

A very good morning ladies~

Janet~DITTO what Marti said! You are most surely WELCOME here! We don't usually post on the BIO thread. But once in a while someone will check it and tell the newbies welcome and to come on over to the WEIGHT LOSS & CHIT CHAT thread where we do most of our chatting. And if we don't check it, we don't know you were here. But we are a friendly bunch of ladies and welcome everyone! Hopefully you will reconsider.

Marti~WTG on getting that work-out! I do have one of those balls but for the life of me don't know where it's at. Haven't seen it since we moved! Like you, I need to get my bike down. V bought me this bike for Christmas about 3 years ago while we were in the country and I had no where to ride it. Now I do and it's hanging on the wall in the garage. He forgot to get it down for me last week-I'll have to remember today when he gets home. But how do you do squats up against the wall?

Jane~I have been meaning to get to my closet for a couple of weeks now and just haven't done it yet. When I change over the clothes there will be lots going to the goodwill! I told V last night that I have to keep that rule in mind-If you haven't worn it in the last year, get rid of it! That would be half of my closet! I have a hard time getting rid of clothes. I also need to finish Josh's closet. I think in the back of my head I know he won't be home till December so I keep thinking I have plenty of time, LOL.

Angie~hey, I didn't know you had a Gazelle too! I'm thinking I may need to get one. I think Wal-Mart has one pretty cheap-just don't know where I would put it. We have the extra bedroom that we made an exercise room but between the weights and the treadmill that takes up most of the space. It's one of those weight systems, can't think of what they are called but it's pretty big. I could probably fit a Gazelle in the corner and move the exercise bike though, just alittle bit of rearraning. The exercise room is where I will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays now.

Susan~maybe you and the guy can just be pals and go places, not really a date. Don't think I could go out with anyone that doesn't want anything to do with children though. That's kind of hard and then a smoker...mmmmm. I think 23 pounds by Christmas is very doable. I would love to see that myself. But right now I am happy with a pound a week. Just trying not to focus on losing weight but getting healthy. I think it goes hand in hand though. But it seems everytime I focus on trying to lose I mess up and just can't seem to do it. So I am just focusing on the exercise, and water. Have actually been doing good with the water. Anyway, just don't think of the big picture and you won't get depressed and if you do-we are here for you! :grouphug:

Anyway, THANK YOU ladies for the support, encouragement, congrats, etc. :thanks: And whoever (think it was Marti??) that said it makes me want to lose more is so right. When I stepped on those scales and it said 199.5 I almost died!! Was wondering if I would ever get under 200! Such a great feeling to feel like I am actually getting somewhere with this weight loss. It's slow but I will take it any way it comes off!! And I actually look forward to my walks/exercise every day. Losing just that little bit has really made me conscious about what I eat now too.

Not much on the agenda today so maybe I will attempt to clean a closet! Need to get a couple of loads of laundry done and that's about it. It rained last night and early this morning so doing the WATP 2 Mile video was a good thing. Also, rode my stationary bike for 15 mns. and did a little bit of weight lifting. Not much on the arms because the left one is at it again, started last night. The ice pack helped some as did the tylenol but not much. Anywho...need to get the roast in the crock pot also so better get going ladies. Want to check out a couple of things online also before I get off this thing.

Take care everyone and have a great day! :flow1:

Jane 10-11-2005 04:03 PM

Hiya ladies,

Susan - I know what you mean about finding someone who can love your kids. Or at least like them! When I found Neal, it was great to have someone who knew it was a package deal, and that it was fine with him. Oh sweetie, please rethink trying to lose so much by Christmas!! Christmas is only about 10 - 11 weeks away, so losing 10 - 15 pounds total would be healthier than trying to lose 23. And btw, Ma Jane won't have any curfews for anyone no matter where we meet up, lol.

Marti - I've been gazelling, too. 30 minutes a day, going faster during a show, and slower on the commercials. I have to say, though, that I really like the treadmill better, but the gazelle is a whole lot more convenient, and I don't have to listen to the news like I do at the Y.

Angie - who stars in Mr & Mrs Smith? Sounds familiar.... So is Christmas your next holiday? About the meet up, when would you be able to for sure go? Do we need to start a thread for that, too?

Janet - :welcome: So sorry you got overlooked. There is just no excuse for it, and I heartily appologize. As the others have said, please just jump in.

Cristi - I'm so happy for you, being in Onederland!! If I had a ticker, I think I'd list my highest weight as the starting point, since you had already lost some. Just a thought. Btw, I'm using the crock pot today, too. BBQ chicken breasts. Then I'll fix a tossed salad, some wild rice, and baby carrots to go with it. Have you tried the 3 cheese Ranch Lite Done Right salad dressing? Mmmmm, good! Anothr thing that I've been having once in awhile is fresh apples, sliced and cooked with Spenda and cinnamon. Great for fall weather.

I almost didn't post because there's nothing new to tell, lol. I ran some errands, and that's about it. Need to clean, but don't wanna, lol. Other than that, same ol', same ol'. Have a great day, ladies!

Marti 10-11-2005 04:27 PM

Afternoon Ladies--

Well finally got on the dreaded scale. Up three pounds. Not as bad as I thought, but it's still a gain. So going to really work on that. I think I'll try and WI twice a month. I don't like doing it every week.

Workout w/a girl at work last night. We went on our lunch break. I walked the treadmill for 25mins. My legs were sore already from working out earlier!!

Angie--Holy Moly....dragging the gazelle up the stairs?? Heck I struggle just setting it up a few inches from where it's at!! How wonderful that you got some son/mom bonding in. I love those days. And I try to take advantage w/spending lots of time w/Jhanai....soon she'll be too busy for me! :(

Janet--I really hope we see you again! Would really love to hear from ya. Please stop in and tell us more about you.

Susan--I'm wanting to lose at least 10lbs by Christmas. A total of 25 by my anniversary. Think I can do it?

Cristi--If you have your Eball, take it to a wall that is flat (hard to find in my house that doesn't have crap on it!) lean up against it. Then just roll the ball down into a squat, to where you're in a sitting position. Then roll yourself back up. I think it helps keep the back in a better position, since I for one, have an issue of leaning when I squat. So it's really a good tool for me to do squats. (I only do 10 for now, 'cause I can REALLY feel it!)

Jane--Comparing the treadmill workout I had at work and with the gazelle workout at home....I like being able to switch my speed w/out having to push buttons. That's what I like about the gazelle. The treadmill....I love to get the incline difference....So....if I ever get rich...I want to buy a treadmill......because then I would have a bigger house to put it in!! :D

Ok...James is in the living room working out...I need to hop on the gazelle. Really motivated right now and I don't want the motivation to slip out of my hands!! I've got goals!!

Chat w/you all later!

Mom2Gaby 10-11-2005 04:38 PM

Ok, I will go with 13 pounds by Christmas.......I just want to get out of the 160's........

Yes, Marti!!! You CAN do it!!!! Bob the Builder says you can :) Your anniversary is in March? I forget, sorry. My size 0 co worker wants to lose 10 by Nov 12th. What a nut - lol

I looked on Wendys site and a large chili is only 320 cal. I don't know the fat content but am surprised at the lo cal of the chili. Course I like it with onion and the cheese w/ 2 crackers. So, maybe 400 tops?

Can I lose weight with just a serving of chili per day?? Maybe cereal in the morning and the rest in veggies & fruit??? Toot, toot......

Jane - no curfew??? dang......sneaking out is the fun part :) co worker and the horse lady he works for doesn't even allow kids in the barn. I could never take Gaby out there to see the horses and she loves horses. Rocky would have adored being Gaby's father figure but that would have never worked out. Though I know he loves me still.

best get! So tired of carrots.

da fat n da furious 10-11-2005 08:16 PM

We should get a thread called If I was RICH.
Cause if I was rich and had a bigger house I would have an awesome weight room,,,eleptic trainer,,,can't say it right...lol Id have that,,,and a bike,,,treadmill. AND important,,,WHIRLPOOL...and of course HANZ the massage therapist. If your gonna live,,,live big!

So the commercial was cancelled cause they changed their minds on the ages of the actors,,,they went younger. And here I was calling for Tanner and they overlooked him with this change. But the good thing is Brandon still gets paid.

Work was well work,,, I was offered a temp. job in the recept cause they are going to drop me...ya it doesn't make sense to me either. They want me to drop the call centre,,,and focus on the recept. area. But I told them why would I apply for a temp job when Im permenent now? They are willing to hire someone to temp for me in the call centre,,,someone who makes more money then me per hour...I so no logic here.

I learned something last night,,wear shoes while gazelling...lol it felt like those massagers,,,but I don't like those massagers..lol Feet were numb after.

I cleaned the pantry and found a wok. Brand new,,,don't even remember where or when I got it,,,it was great since I bought stir fry veggies from Costco the other day.

Well I should get to rehearsal...have a good night ladies.

Mom2Gaby 10-12-2005 11:01 AM

If I was rich I would live on a farm w/ roosters and chickens.

Good Morning!! Had some left over rice w/ veggies for breakfast and a Venti coffee.

Tough night with the girls who wanted to chat on the phone all night. They didn't fold the laundry like they promised so it is all wrinkled.

Had to iron a dress for the Gabster. Who btw spent the night at Doug's . When I went to pick her up yesterday at 5 pm they were sleeping - slept 14/15 hours - sheesh..........when was the last time any of you did that?? She must have been tired.

So, how long is the poll open?? Can we have a tie vote if no one breaks it?? Enquiring minds wanna know.

My former boss is so funny - enjoy emailing him all day - he cracks me up. Yesterday he came slidding into my chair ( he does that - like a rag doll) and I started laughing.I think he finds this place anal like me. We had more fun in the Tower. Anyway- better go....

ps - I am down 3 pounds - though think that has to do with retaining or some dang thing. Though I have suffered with carrots for 3 days - starting to look like a wabbit -

janet_921 10-12-2005 12:39 PM

Good Morning All;
Thank you for the kind words...but, not here to dwell on it. Are you guys all on different diets...or the same diet or what...I've sorta(?) been following Jorge Cruise, his diet seems to be fairly good, and he said you really dont have to exercise but with exercises you will lose faster and you will firm up your body so all in all, its much better to exercise..The hardest part for me is eating every three hours. Sad to say, I want to eat after 2 hours.
The weather here is lousy....rainy and such but it is fall and snow will be falling next. They say that our leaves will hit their peak next week here in Southwestern PA but thats because of no rain these past summer months. Dont know how thats gonna affect the color of the leaves...just have to wait and see.
For those that dont know...My first name is Janet, married to Paul. This past Sunday was our 17th wedding anniversary. I have 4 kids by my first husband and he has one by his first wife, but, truly, we arent a combined family. All the kids had left home by the time we got married.
I am 63 yrs old, drive a school van for the handicapped kids, and my husband goes with me. He takes care of the hard to handle kids, cause its hard doing that and driving too. Guess we are like a team even working.
Thats all for now....More later....

 my weight as of Oct 3rd...189
:^: my weight as of Oct 9th...182
