Today's inpirational message is from my favorite website "The Daily Motivator"

"To achieve, stop talking about it and start getting it done. To achieve, stop seeing every obstacle as an excuse and start seeing those obstacles as forming a pathway to your goal.

To achieve, stop looking for a quick and easy shortcut. To achieve, start putting forth the diligent, sustained effort that will create real value.

To achieve, stop complaining about how things have been. To achieve, start making the most of what you have right now.

To achieve, stop using your own words and thoughts to put yourself down. To achieve, start expecting the best of yourself, and know that you're indeed fully capable of it.

To achieve, stop pretending that you are someone else. To achieve, get connected to the authentic, unique person you are.

To achieve, develop a vision so positive, meaningful and compelling that you simply cannot sit still. Then get up, go out and delight in creating your own special greatness for the world."
-- Ralph Marston

WOW - that my ladies, says it all - have a great day - believe it, then achieve it!

Just checking in:
I did the WATP 2mi on Wednesday AND I have geen drinking my 8 glasses of water daily. woohoo!

deborah.jennelle 09-08-2005 06:37 PM

Allie, I know exactly what you mean about the support here and it helping so much. I feel the same way.

Even days I don't feel like moving at all [or cutting it short] - I think then how I'd feel to have to report in that I didn't get my goals for the day done 'n that keeps me on track big time.

Way to go with your exercising and with your water. You go girl! :cheer:

mscat, thanks so much for the encouragement and the :cb:'s ... it makes me want to try all the harder. THANK YOU!! :)

Also, thank you for the daily message as well ... I used to read those every day but hadn't for quite a long time. Today's was definitely a good one. :grouphug:

Well - I got both of my goals done for today.

1. Walked down 25 flights of stairs
2. Drank 5 cups of water

I was going to do 5 extra flights but decided against it [I was tired and also, I think the extra 5 yesterday were a bit much 'cuz my back hurt a little last night and today.]

Hope you've all had a good day!

See ya tomorrow. :)

Love,

Debi

Hi Debi, Nice to meet you too! I'm glad that you're glad I'm back online and here. And I'm back online from the long holiday weekend! :D

Thanks for the welcome back mscat and thanks for the :cheer: on my goals! Glad to hear thatyou have talked the situation over with your ob who did your hyst and you two have discussed surgergy as an option. Me too. Now I jsut need to follow up with an appt.!

Since I last posted, I walked 10 laps around the baseball field my son has his games at. My DH told me that I walked 2 miles. That was Saturday. Boy did I feel it! Suday we went to a cookout, but I danced so much to the good music that I hope I countered what I ate!

My son and I walked to the neighborhood store (all hills both ways). And I got the batteries for my scale! yesterday morning I wighed 168.5 lbs. I'd like to at lest lose 20 -25 lbs. Now all I need to do is figure out how to put a scale on my posts!

I managed to catch a headcold, so I havn't been doing much since Monday. :(

mscat cograts on your shed project. We are getting ready to redo the kitchen. My DH "says" that we will begin on tomorrow! :smug:

Hi AliLewis  welcome!

Hi Bobolink! Welcome!

Oh, I forgot to tell you all..... I bought some Weight Watchers desserts to satisfy my sweet tooth. Had 1 point value yesterday! :D And guess what?! I just went to the freezer and my DH bought a bunch of Healthy Choice selections! :D

I just went and weighed myself and I'm 168lbs., so I've lost 1/2 lb. of salt/water.

Hi Friends! :)

I'm late in posting today but did get my goals done.

1. Walked 25 flights of stairs.
2. Drank 5 cups of water.

That's the good news ...

The bad? Weeeelllll .... last night I caved in and went to Walmart and bought a package of Stawberry Cheesecake snacks and ... :o :ink: :ink: I ate them. :rollpin: :tantrum:

I knew better than to buy them to begin with [I have absolutely NO sense of moderation whatsoever when it's something that I like.]

But ... the one thing that I am proud of is that I am NOT going to quit and decide to start again another time.

I used to be famous for going off and doing something like that and then just plain giving up and saying that I'd start again [I've always been a good one for ... well, I'll wait and start again the 1st of the following month, etc.]

This time though, I am going to keep going and am NOT giving up!

I made a mistake but I go up, brushed myself off and am going to keep going! :) To me, this is an amazing accomplishment! :cheer:

Casper, it sounds like you're doing really well with both exercising and with losing. Keep up the good work! :) :cp: :cp:

To put your weight tracker on here, you need to go to your "user CP" at the top of the page.

Then click on "Edit Signature" and in there is where you put your code for your tracker thingie.

[Hope that helps but if not, let me know and I'll try to help you more with it, K? :) ]

Love,

Debi

We are Almost Done!

Hey Ladies - it is the end of the week and only one more day to go! Let's all emerge victorious on accomplishing our goals today and tomorrow!

Allie :cb: for Thursday's goals! Thanks for stopping in and letting us know how great you are doing. I love my treadmill - I think I need to get WATP too!

Debi :cb: :cb: for Thursday and Friday's goals! Good for you for recognizing your setback, putting it behind you where it belongs (in the past) and moving forward to the future! It is so awesome how diligent you are on stair climbing. I am inspired to start stairs at work since I am missing out on so much treadmill time.

Casper :woo: for your loss! Sounds like you are making walking one of your goals to meet each day/week? If so let us know how your doing each day or report on each day's progress periodically when you get a chance. Our week begins on Monday so you still have today and Sunday to earn kudos towards this week's goal.

and me - :cb: :cb: for Wednesday and Thursday's water. Going for the gold today too!

:grouphug: we are missing you AliLewis, Sushi, Selina, Bonnie, Carla, and Bobbi - hope you are all doing well.

Have a wonderful day! :)

Hello Ladies :)

Just wanted to let you know how I'm doing. :)
I'm not doing my challenge just yet... just taking things easy for now, resting and relaxing after the stress and craziness of the move (which went well, btw). I only have occassional internet access, and it's much harder without your support!
We don't have a place yet, just staying with my fiance's family for about 2 weeks before getting out on our own. Things will probably get stressful again, but hopefuly not as hectic. :) The good thing is that I'm sleeping great - hurray! I've been getting up to 9 hrs of good sleep, and am in bed by 9 pm at the latest (can't keep my eyes open longer than that!).

I'll check in again as soon as I can :)

Good luck with your challenges :)

deborah.jennelle 09-10-2005 10:37 PM

Hi Sushi!

It was good to hear from you and I'm so glad to hear that you got moved okay [and that you're taking it easy for awhile now. Good for you!]

Sleep ... uhmmmm, what's that?

I do sleep at night [but not well] ... I am positive that I have sleep apnea but though I had one test done -- I couldn't sleep while I was there and so have to wait now to get approved to get another test done. [Grrrr!]

Anyways ... I guess my point to all of this is that even though I do sleep at night [I've had no problems in falling asleep for a long time] ... but, I still feel like I haven't slept in years. :( :tantrum:

I'm not sure of what type of sleep problems you are dealing with but trust me when I say that I can sure sympathize with you, sweetie. ((HUGS))

Hurry back when you can! :)

Love,

Debi

Hello Ladies!

For the past week, I did do my WATP for 4 days for a total of 9 miles.
I drank 8 glasses of water 6/7 days. Still feeling under the weather not really hungry or thirsty.

mscat816 09-11-2005 06:12 AM

Early Sunday Post

Good morning ladies - I am taking Sushi's place - its 5:45 in the a.m. and I have been up for about 2 hours - unable to sleep. My current insomnia (and diarrhea :( ) is just stress. I have some work issues that have taken over my weekend and some contractor/construction project issues that have taken their toll as well.

I have to keep reminding myself is I really don't have any problems - my house is not under water, I am not staying in a shelter, I didn't watch any of my love ones slip away into dark waters, I have all my clothes and possessions, I have a job to return to on Monday. I am blessed to be able to get on this computer in the middle of the night and be worried about eating too much food and my treadmill collecting dust. How lucky we are! I am very grateful for all of you :grouphug: to have an escape. You all lift me up with your positive spirits.

Sushi - thanks for checking in - we miss you! We are so happy to hear you have been getting good sleep. Keep your chin up - I know how you feel. This is a cakewalk and as my mom always says "this too shall pass." We are here for you!

Debi :cb: for your Saturday goals! You are soooooo awesome!

Allie :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: :cb: for 6 days of making your goals including 4 days of WATP! No wonder you are so close to your goal - consistency is the key - you are great example to us all.

Well, I will check in later - I have a full day of completing the shed project and hopefully working on the DD closet project and then cleaning my construction dust/tools/remodeling material ridden house for a staff retreat I am hosting on Monday :fr:

Have a blessed Sunday!
