hi everybody, sorry I haven't posted lately, but busy, busy, busy!! I haven't been on the computer much and this week i have been babysitting for a kid I don't usually have and she has kept me busy. But you know, she is 9 and she's like 4 foot 11 and weighs 165 pounds!! I see in her the chubby kid I was, and I worry about her. She just wants to watch movies all day and eat junk, but I made her (and myself) take the little one out in the pool and get some exercise and for snacks we had stuff like 100 cal mini bags of popcorn and she drank 100% juice instead of Kool-aid. She siad she likes the "diet" food that I eat and she wants to have it all the time. So, maybe she will eat healthier at home, and if not, I know that when I watch her, she will. Well, I weigh in tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Hey everybody. Just checking to see how everybody is doing. Seems like summer is busy for everybody. I got this in the mail the other day and thought it might help some people.

1-2-3 for Maintaining Motivation
When you feel your motivation for healthy living begin to wane, there are three steps you can take to avoid going off course.
First, make a list of all the reasons that you began this journey in the first place (or, if you’ve already done this, pull out your list to review).
Next, touch base with your support network, whether it’s a real-life friend or your favorite discussion group.
Finally, take stock of everything you’ve accomplished so far—the good eating habits you’ve established and the increased fitness levels that you’ve achieved.
When you take the time to acknowledge how far you’ve come, and remind yourself of why you want to keep going, your commitment to lifestyle change will be renewed.

This really hit home for me. I haven't been doing well the past week and these words came at the right time.
Anyway, hope everybody is doing well and keeping up with their goals. Take care.

Karla
