Hey!
Don't have much time today. Just gonna be a bunch of whining anyway. Well, I started this Schools Attuned workshop yesterday. Let me just say OMIGOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :?: :o :dizzy: Talk about system overload. The workshop is from 8 til 4:30. There is so much information, they keep skipping from topic to topic and too much material. I am so overwhelmed. I am not into all this cutsey foo foo stuff. Give me the meat of what we're supposed to learn and let's get into it. We have way too many activities. It's making me insane. I finally start to figure out one bit of information and they quickly transition into a different topic. I am really beginning to feel a little on the stupid side. I want to be able to implement this information into my classroom. I think it can be helpful, but they did a role play about a topic we aren't even doing until Friday. Ughhh. And yes, Kerry, WE HAVE HOMEWORK, LOTS AND LOTS OF HOMEWORK. I need a cart to bring all this material home, we have two huge binders, about ten booklets and assorted hand outs. Ok, so I just keep telling myself this is paying for one semester of college for my son...... :rollpin: :rollpin: Speaking of my darling nineteen year old, he just registered today, it's official. We have the car back, and it's running as of today......So there are two major milestones out of the way. My sinus infection is still roaring. I have MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR PMS, and to beat it all I have managed to gain almost six pounds in the span of a week. :( The only bright side to my week, I had a wonderful anniversary. I came home from my class to a HUGE bouquet of roses with a huge burgandy bow. Pink, peach, yellow, fuschia, GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D My husband had CLEANED THE HOUSE! :cb: We went to Outback for dinner. I won't go into the details of how horribly I ate....... :o What a great night. We decided to forgo the bed for now. We currently have a bed with two attached armoires(sp?) which takes up a lot of space. However, if we get a new bed, we then must get nightstands, and chest of drawers. So, we're gonna wait for a while. Please forgive my ranting, I am just terribly out of sorts today. I will try to come back tomorrow with a better attitude........ Talk to you all later. Miss you guys! Pam |
Mouse - I assume you just share the same day as Donald and not the year because I am thinking he is almost as old as Mickie and that is WAY older than me! Russians are blond? They never are in the movies! You fit my picture better! Crab souffle sounds WONDERFUL! It must be nice living near the coast. Crab never goes on sale around here and it is oh so expensive! Your new school sounds promising. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the best school wins!
Ginny - Ummmmm. I don't think a bone scan for a colonoscopy is a good trade. I have never had a colonoscopy but I about die just turning in my stool sample for my occult blood test. I can't imagine what I'll do when I have to have a colonoscopy. It won't be too much longer before I'll find out I'm afraid! The bone scan is easy. You just lay on the table and the machine takes a picture like an xray machine. You don't even have to get naked! I am glad I talked my doctor into having one. I have been trying for a couple of years but he kind of blew me off saying I was young and active so there wasn't any concern. This time I said why not do it so we have something to compare to when I do start losing bone mass then. They get the results right away and as it turns out I am right on the boarderline of having osteoperosis! A negative number means you have it and my scores were less than 1 with two -.6s. Luckily I should be able to get those numbers up if I get lots of calcium and exercise. Hopefully this will give me the incentive I need to start exercising. Yep, you win the eldest position. Look on the bright side, we all have to listen to your words of wisdom! Actually we range from 1960-1973 so we are pretty close in age. How is your dd? Getting hit with a soccer ball doesn't sound like fun. I went to a soccer game once to watch a student and it all looked pretty painful to me all that kicking and head pounding! Pam - Sorry to hear your class is so overwhelming. I think sometimes they just try to stick too much into a short period of time. Glad your ds's darn car is finally running. That has just given you fits! Look on the bright side everything is fixed so you should be good to go for awhile! You have to figure PMS is accounting for most of your weight gain. It is amazing the amount of water we can retain in our bodies! Your flowers sound absolutely beautiful but I think I would have been more excited about a clean house. My dh would never think of that! For my 40th he through me a surprise party. My birthday was the Friday of the first week of school so you all can relate to what state my house was in by then. All he did was stack some dishes in the sink and called it good! Thank God all he invited was my family and a few close friends. My children are begging to go into school today. I don't understand why that is such a thrill for them! It is suppose to rain so it is a good day to do it. Unfortunately my girlfriends corrupted me last night and I am a bit under the weather today. It was 92 actually temp who knows what with the heat index at golf last night so I sucked down two wine coolers (1 is usually my limit) then we went over to my friends pool and her dh kept sticking a fresh beer in my coozy! What can I say it was hot and they were good. I think I had four beers, which A LOT for me. I didn't get home until 1:30 a.m. and then had to get up at 5:15 to get to my bone scan. I was so worried about my alarm going off I don't think I slept more than 10 minutes at a time. I was so paranoid that I would still reak of booze this morning. One of the questions the tech ask was if I was a heavy drinker. She probably thought "liar" when I said no! Not only did I do damage with the alcohol but I ate potato chips on top of all that. Tonight I am meeting some teacher friends for dinner at the Outback. WI should be a thrill tomorrow! Sue |
Okay, I read all the posts since I was last here, and I'm dizzy. Lots going on. I'm not even attempting to address everyone personally.
DD has a sore throat. We took her to the doctor last night for a strep test which came back negative, so it is a virus. None of her friends are sick, so she probably got it from the babysitting room at the gym. Those places are petri dishes filled with cooties. The good news is that her sleepover planned for tonite is cancelled...I'm not too bummed since it's my best friend's very high maintenance DD. I was actually dreading tonite, so I got lucky. And instead of wasting my time preparing for her visit and cleaning up from it, I can focus on all the crap we need to get done before it is back to school time. We got a letter in the mail with another assignment for the first day of school in addition to the pile of crap assigned in June. Yes, kids need to read over the summer, but all of the assignments are such a drag. I guess we have to hand in all this documentation because of the lazy parents who don't make their kids read. Yes, we've read and done flash cards all summer. Now we have to do all the book reports and projects...goodie goodie gumdrops! Hopefully DD will be all better by Friday because DH took the day off to join the tricklets and their parents to go to Ocean Beach for the day. We are staying for the amusement park rides and the concert. So, August is a popular birthday month here? I have 4 August birthdays in my life as well. Rob, good luck at WW. You will love it, especially since I can picture you totally participating during the talk. Enjoy!!! I really got a lot out of the personal training session. Now I await my friend's decision of whether or not to do it with me. If she chooses not to I'm sh*t out of luck because I cannot pay $50 a session...it aint happenin'. |
Hi, all.
I haven't heard anything from the interview yesterday... the principal said he'd call me this afternoon sometime, so I'm kinda stuck here. He wanted to make sure I'd be home. This morning I went to look at the new gym, and its much more my kind of place. Although there are little children everywhere... they allow kids, and school IS out, so... However, I walked in to consider membership, and walked out with the offer to fill out an application because they REALLY REALLY REALLY need swim instructors! :) All of their college students are leaving now, and when can I start? :) We'll see... if I work there, I don't have to pay for a membership at all, so I can sort of not be confrontational with the other gym. They really don't want me to leave, but I really don't want to ASK somebody to let me in the darned elevator everytime I go there! My friend is supposed to come over later and help me with the bookshelves and the picture hanging... the movers never did come back or call me. Summer: Sorry your daughter isn't feeling well; summer colds are the worst! And yes, childcare areas at gyms are just like child daycare centers anywhere: full of germs! That's one thing I like about swimming: the chlorine kills just about everything, so I don't catch it. But I get lots of stuff from my students! Sue: Hmmm. Bone scans, wine coolers, golf... sounds like you're having some fun! And yes, I share the day with Donald. He is younger than Mickey by at least 10 years. Mickey turned 50 when I was 5, so he's 77 or so now. I went to his 50th birthday party (one of many!) and won a pastel portrait of tinkerbell. The artist who did something with her (either for the movie or the Disney TV show) drew her, and its personalized and signed. Its one of the first things I hang up, usually. Its going to be harder to hang here, because I keep it out of direct sunlight, so I'm limited where I can put her. Oh... yes, but the crab I ate that was on sale was from Indonesia, I think. It was your standard "Phillips" branded stuff. It was 8 ounces for like $6. Pam: Ack! I understand that feeling all too well! And I don't like it much; it tends to turn me off the stuff that I know I should be using in my classroom, maybe? Ginny: I have no doubt that the monster-cat will catch up with me. I miss him. The only good thing that would come out of my being at the other school and not being able to go to camp is that I could go get him Saturday after swimming lessons. :mouse: |
Mouse, how cool that you will get to go to a gym perfect for you, plus get a job there, and big bonus: free membership!!! WOW!!! Now that's my kind of gym!!!

Hey!
In a much better mood today. It was a much better day today. Although let me give you a little laugh. I got up this morning got dressed, took the flat iron to my hair, and decided to feed my fish before I left for the workshop as I still had fifteen minutes before it was time to leave. While I was out there, I decided to go ahead and get the water lettuce ( a floating pond plant) which is multiplying rapidly, and take some to my friend who is also in this workshop......The next thing I know, I am falling headfirst into the pond. Clothes, hair, bra, undies, socks shoes wet, makeup all over my face, and now I have ten minutes to find something to wear, fix my hair and leave. I managed to do it............The frog (Giantor) was laughing at me, I'm sure of it. I think tomorrow I will just feed the fish and leave it at that! :D I enjoyed the workshop more today, and everything was starting to mesh. I have found a lot of useful tools I will incorporate into my classroom. Still too much info, but it was much better. Although, I got stuck in a group this afternoon with two Middle School Administrators for partners. Ughhh. The lady was was fine, but the man he left much to be desired as a group partner. We told him that if it was Survivor we would be voting him off the Island. Ha ;) My case study group is great, and I am really comfortable with all of them. One is a sixth grade LA teacher, one is a sixth grade Exceptional teacher, and one is a Middle School Assistant Principal. He is a trip. But, he talks a lot and throws these bad one liners. All you need is a set of drums for his punch lines. Mouse: I happen to not like doing the cutesy foo foo stuff, but I actually have a lot of similar activities in my classroom. Makes me wonder, how do the kids feel about this? Glad you like your new gym. Summer: Summer colds are the worst. Misereable. Hope she is feeling better soon. We start school here the 25th and we begin work next week. Is it already that time? Sue: Sounds like you had fun at the pool. Ha! Sometimes its nice to just relax and just not worry about anything. Before long we'll all be too busy to take a breath. My friend and I have decided to go to the beach Saturday for one last Hoorah. My husband has to work and says it's mean that I get to go to the beach, he's doing a secret rain dance I think. I was very very pleased with the clean house. Relieved I must say! Ginny and Kerry: Hey! Pam |
Hi All,
Sorry to have been missing for a few days! But I needed to catch up on my sleep and sort out a few things with my stupid dh. We just didn't see eye to eye on why I was so tired this weekend when he wanted me to go here and there with him and the kids. Plus it is that TOM and I gained 3 1/4 pounds from it. So I will just have to work harder at not putting junk in my mouth this week, so the scales can start to fall again. I did go into the school this morning and start to get my room ready for this school year. We start school with the kids on the 23rd. I have decided not to bust my butt off getting my room ready this year for my kids, since I have been busy this summer with school. I figure that the first couple of days I will just go over some activities with the kids to get them use to each other and than the following week start with the academics. Last year. there was not real team-like mood in my room and that just killed the classroom setting for everyone. I will not put up with that this year. Well I need to go and straighten up the house since the dh and kids are at football practice. Talk to you all later. Kerry |
flying by on my way to bed....
hello to everyone! hope all is well.... i've not read any posts due to time! (and school doesn't begin for weeks yet!) today was spent in my classroom, moving boxes and unpacking a few! one of my dear friends from my old school came and helped me figure out where i'm going to stash 19 years worth of accumulation of 1st grade stuff! i also got wrangled into meeting with the sped teacher and principal about my incoming class.... you guys are going to be hearing more about THIS class, i'm afraid! whooohoo... statistically they are a group of doozeys! i'm sure that i'll have details and hair pulling out sessions later! :) i do like challenges, tho! so, i'm not too afraid of the kidlets! it is just sort of scary to know that they were "given" to me for specific reasons! academic remediation is my thannng...so...I guess they have been "given" to the correct old broad, hmmm... Ginny...when are you going to the beach? I'm sure that you are glued to the weather. Irene (the dreaded "I" hurricane of 05) is headed straight for some of our favorite spots in NC which also is horribly close to MEEE! ??? Did you get the weather insurance on the cottage? AND... Why do you come in August?! Seriously...have you considered June? (Look at the storm stats!) Ok...enough of my SisterDoom weather predicitions! Bleech! Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best! Gotta get to bed... that darn alarm clock was horribly early this morning! Take care, meeee |
Morning!
Gotta be short, have to get Dd to soccer camp (9, someone asked her age). Robyn- we leave for the OB in a week.....Sat 8/20. Irene should be outa there by then.....I hope. And yes we do the trip insurance thing. Can't go much earlier- remember I live in Yankee territory, and school is in session until June 20 something. I have total confidence in your ability to handle these kids.....can't think of anyone better than you for academic remediation. Keep your wonderful sense of humor, and you will do fine. Mouse- doesn't get any better than free gym to do something that you love!!!! Wonderful, and congrats. BTW- the offer on Fidgie still stands.....wonderful wacko cat that she is. Bet you can't wait to get your Imp back. Kerry- suffering from PMS too??? (I will make you feel good when I report in later with my WI....I am SO bloated.) I hope you have made some headway with Dh and am sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with him. Hope you were able to enjoy the peace and quiet during football practice.....ah, the joys of an empty house, even if you are cleaning it! Summer- hope Dd is feeling better!!! Ocean Beach where.....Maryland?? (or is there one by you). $50 a session????? Wow, I had no idea personal trainers were that pricey. At least you got to see Broomhilda once for the experience and pain! Sue- good thing you went for that bone scan!!!! (isn't that why we subject ourselves to all this stuff.....to catch problems early?) BTW, the colonoscopy was not bad- seriously. WOuld not want to do it every day,but again to prevent major problems worth it. Pam- glad your anniversary was so great.....and wonderful Dh to clean. Perhaps he can send some cleaning vibes to my Dh.......naw, skip that......when mine cleans he is such a MAJOR crab. Got the long walk/run in again this am.....5 am that is. I am doing the almost 4 miles (3.8) in approx 50 minutes....which is pretty good for an old bugger like me, I guess. Gotta go! Enjoy your day! Ginny |
Sounds like we are all heading into our classrooms. I went in yesterday and actually wrote lesson plans for the first 7 days. I ran some handouts so I won't have to fight for the copy machine later. I do have to make a test review but it was too hot to stay at school any longer. Sounds like you all are starting a couple of weeks before I do. I am hoping to have everything ready so that the last week of summer I can not think about it!
Summer - Sorry to hear your DD has a sore throat. Hopefully it will be a short lived one. Have fun at Ocean Beach. So how long do you have the personal trainers attention for $50? If you have a friend is it the same price and time? That is the way to go because have the time you are repeating what they told you to do anyway. That is how my friend and I did our golf lessons. While I was practicing what he just told me to do, he would be telling her something new. It worked out well and cut the cost in half. Mouse - Your Tinkerbell picture sounds wonderful. What a special treasure it must be for you! How nice that you can get a free membership and earn a bit of spending money too! Plus it sounds like you really enjoy teaching the lessons too. You aren't planning on keeping the other membership are you? That would be silly not to get your money back. Hopefully you will get a call today from the school. It must be tough to be in limbo when it is getting close to time to go back to school. Pam - Too bad no one was video taping you when you fell in the pond. You could have gotton rich from the Funniest Home Videos show! I am sure you didn't find it so hummerous at the moment but it will be a great story to tell into old age! It sure made me laugh! Kerry - I think team building is so important no matter what you teach. If the children feel comfortable and supported by the whole they are so much more likely to take a risk. Robyn - We must both be sick but I enjoy a challenging group too. If all our students did exactly what was expected, how boring would that be. Last year was full of interesting moments. I am afraid the group I have this year will be very dull in comparison. Ginny - Wow 4 mph?! That is a pretty fast clip especially in this heat. I wish you would walk a bit for me! Okay who had the DD in cheerleading? Did you see the news today about the girl who died at camp because she landed wrong? How scarey is that?! I have been doing some major and much needed scrubbing today. I don't know how my house can get so filthy when I am not even working! My DH is off on a business trip tonight. I have been trying to not start a new book so that I will be more productive but I may have to break down tonight since I'll be alone HEAVENLY ALONE in my bed. I just picked up two books for our camping trip Sunday. One is Janet Evanovich Hot Six. Please tell me if that is the middle book of a series. I don't like to start in the middle. The other one looked cute it is called "Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons"! It is writen by Lorna Landvik. Anyone familar with her work? I'll let you know how it is. Sue |
Hello again!
Well, survived a visit shopping with the kids......the two oldest that is. Ds drove up (he is on his permit) and Dd bellyached the whole time about what a crummy driver he was. He blew a fuse.....and there was a ton of yelling..oh, what fun!!! And then Ds telling me that I could not possibly know a darn thing about driving. Huh?????? (did he forget that I just took my gazillionth defensive driving course??????) So I just bit my tongue.......and got thru it. And our shopping trip was productive- got lots done. My trip to WW was a walkin weigh in......I gained .2#. Huh?????? I have been walking my hoofies off....this 4 miler almost every day for the past 2 weeks......and my eating has not been bad. Guess it is water weight. And it will be gone next week!! Got our route review sheets today....route selection is next Wednesday. So far, it appears as though my route is pretty much the same, and I would really love to have it back....(someone please remind me that Isaid I liked this route when I want to strangle the kids!). Just pray that I can get my route back. Sue- you are not the only one doing some major scrubbing. I bumped into a teacher yesterday and she too is scrubbing away and stripping wallpaper. So you are in good company. As far as the Janet Evanovich, I think Robyn or Summer left me a list in order on this thread. It was last week....so go back a few days and the list in order should be there. Also, maybe Evanovich has a web site- Cornwell does- and it lists the books in order. Glad you got organized for the first week. I am sure the effort will make a hectic time much easier for you. And the first week of school is never known for being easy! Guess I'd better get myself in gear and do something. Have to go pick up Dd from soccer soon. And it is incredibly hot.......I do not wish for school, but a nice cool breeze like we get in October would be nice! See ya! Ginny |
I've tried 4 different times to post.... I'm getting a bit ....ummm... ticked!
Hello everyone! Sue... One for the Money is the first Stephanie Plum (that is the main character's name!) Evanovich (is that spelled correctly?) novel! While it isn't really THAT important to read them in order... I would! I finished reading the newest one while we were at the beach! Can't wait to see what trouble Stephanie gets herself into with Book12 http://www.evanovich.com/ is her official web site! While I *LOVE* the Stephanie Plum books... her others (the Metro Girl and the "Full" Series) are enjoyable too! :) ....but Stephanie Plum is THE best... maybe because she is such an exploding mess! Read them in order! (The titles all include a number word... they begin with One and run thru Eleven!) I hope that I haven't repeated everything that Summer posted while I was at the beach... I tried to find the post..but couldn't...so please forgive me if I'm repeating! :) Yes, the news about the 14 year old cheerleader was TRAGIC! I believe it is Summer who has the daughter who cheers... Remember the wedding that I attended in June? The bride was the little bit that was thrown (I don't know the proper term!) throughout her 4 years at Marquette University! I wonder how this will change high school cheerleading... That poor poor family! Re: Scrubbing... I need to get my big butt into gear! I'm getting VERY short with the time.... and must get something meaningful done this summer! Cleaning would be a great place and way to start! Gin, Glad to have you point out that I nearly missed a FULL WEEK of summer putting you in NC next week! Whew! :) Glad that you are scheduled AFTER the hurricane! ...and I did forget that you are so far up north that you get that Wonderful February vacation and then must stay in school for a bit longer in June! We "do" our official vacation (when we do one!) the very last week of June or the week right after (but not including!) the 4th of July! Mouse, FREE gym to do lessons?! At the gym that you really liked better?! Did you grab that chance? What a perfect "excuse" for you to get out of the other one! Did you hear anything from the principal? I also just found a word document that I had typed to you about my son. I can't find any evidence that I sent it to you... it was a reply to your questions, etc... Did I send it to you? We will be having an IEP meeting soon (I refuse to call it anything other than an official IEP meeting ....that way they HAVE to have it soon and when I want it!) Back to the stress of being the mother of a SpEd kid! Oh BTW, I have NOT forgotten about my kid being allowed to NOT participate in the NJHS without us ever being informed that he even QUALIFIED.... ARGHH! Summer, How is your DD? Summer illnesses are THE worst! My boys spent the afternoon with my inlaws. They take them out once a week. They went to a museum and out to lunch! The boys enjoy the time with their grandparents. I have to admit that I enjoyed the afternoon with them gone! :) I got into the pool with my DH for an hour or so! The kids always want me in the pool with them...and I do get in... but it is far from peaceful in there with them! So today was a treat in many ways! So, did you friend go for the sessions with "DaTrainer" (I have visions of SNL's Hans and Frans bringing in one of their "associates" to you!)? I am not too sure about the WW thing... You KNOW that I'm a shy, timid delicate lil thing..... (at least 1 of those words REALLY does describe me!) but I usually can't keep my mouth shut (oh how toooooo true! in soooo many ways!) Pam, How are the fish? Have you recovered from your pond dive? I am a NUT about being late to things... even if I THINK I'm going to be late I BUGGG out.... SO, your story makes me giggle AND die all at the same time! Did you get to your class on time?! I don't like to be mixed with administrators when I'm taking classes or inservices etc... I love that you told the guy that he would never make it if it were Survivor! Don't get me wrong, I have actual friends that are administrators....but for the most part, I don't want to "hang out" with MY administrators! Horrible, aren't I? Kerry, glad you checked in! Glad that you are getting to catch up on your sleep! I've got more than 1/2 of my boxes to still unpack... I'll go in at least 2 more days next week. The beginning of the year is so important ... to establish the "team" or "family" feel with the kids right from the start is so important! So I hear you about NOT allowing anything less from the very beginning! Good luck! I hope that I've not forgotten anyone! I've got to get to cooking dinner...so I must run! Take care, meeee |
Did my last message go thru or not? I am not too sure...
SO...if you don't see something above this from me... I'm sorry... 4 attempts has worn me out! hope all is well with everyone.... take care, meeee |
Hey!
Hey! How is everyone? How is everyone? I thought we were doing doubles since Robyn posted twice! Ha! I was getting a bit of de ja vu! :D One more day of this workshop. I had fun today. As much as I was complaining the second day, I am really learning a lot. Today, we focused on Social Cognition, which you know is soooooooooo important in the middle school setting. My fish? I AM GOING TO STRANGLE THAT BIG STUPID UGLY FROG. Remember when all my fish began to disappear? I am down to one. I looked it up on the internet last night. The frog in my pond is a bullfrog. Did you know bullfrogs are predators? I didn't. Cannibals too. Anyway, I have one lonely fish out there today. I can't find that stupid frog which I want to relocate. Ughhhhh! I started with 21, AND THEN THERE WAS ONE........ Robyn: I love the administrator that is in my study group. Omigod he is so funny. I would work for him in a heartbeat. He is an assistant but told me this morning, you know I will get a school someday, I won't forget your name. I have not done any pond diving this morning. My best friend laughed so hard she said she almost peed on herself. I am a very punctual person. I even dream about being late to things. But, I ran in threw all my clothes, shoes, undies etc.......in the tub threw some clothes on and dried my hair and off I went made it with five minutes to spare. Too close for comfort. What grade are you teaching this year? Sue: My best friend Sue told me the same thing about sending a video to America's Funniest Videos. I could have gone through public humiliation for ten thousand dollars......... I have been trying to clean a little everyday. Hopefully this will continue once school starts. I doubt it. But, who knows. Ginny: My husband will remind me until the end of time that he cleaned the house. Oh well, I don't care, it was cleaned. So you are coming to my state huh? I am going to Atlantic Beach for the day Saturday. Well, I was supposed to be going. Now, they are predicting rain for the next three days. I will be back at work when you are down here. Bummer...... Kerry: Welcome Back! You have been busy with school all summer. I am sort of itching to get into my classroom and get things put away. I sort of just chunked everything into my room and now it's in a huge pile. I sorted half, but had to move my files and everything, so I need to go through those and do bulletin boards and stuff. I think I have already lost my classroom key. Yikes. Mouse; Ever hear from the principal? Hope all is well and you can get that job at the gym.. That would save ya some money. Talk to you later. Pam |
Oh, bother just me again!
Robyn- before I forget, one biggie reason we go to OB so late, is the rates go down for rentals somewhere around 8/15. We end up saving big$$$$ by going late. Even if we flirt with disaster with the hurricane season in almost full swing. And it is less crowded (I am not a crowd person at all, neither is Dh). So, did you get to Busch Gardens this evening????? Lots of fun, a nice place! thanks for straightening me out with the Evanovich books.....I am going to see if the used book store downtown has a copy of her first to take to the OB with me. I should be done with Scarpetta by then......who is tormenting me at the moment. Sicko that I am I am now sort of rereading Blowfly and Trace in tandem......just to compare some of the bombs she drops in one to the story line of the other. See, I am really a nut case..... Think you knew that however... And happy cleaning.....hope you can get some done!!!! BTW- has Dh had any leads with a job? Pam-still gotta love Dh for cleaning. At least he did it!!!!! Sorry your trip to the beach might be rained on. Think it is that hurricane remnants?? (I am not sure). Can't say that I knew bullfrogs were predators. That stinks for you! Want to rent a blue heron? They eat bull frogs......yum,yum! Glad you enjoyed the workshop today. Sounds as though you are starting this year with fully charged batteries revved up to go. Well, Dh came home in a mood from h***. Job stress is phenominal- and he usually comes home a mess. Tonite was worse than most. Nothing pleases him.....just wish he would come home with a smile for me once in a while. Guess you have heard enough from me in one day. Sue, Summer, Kerry, Mouse hope all is well with each of you! See ya tomorrow. Ginny |
