Just got done with some appts that went very well....think they may be booking the dates! YAY!

OMG....WI time is getting closer!!!!!! Will leave in about an hour or so...a little earlier than I usually do b/c I have to be back for an early afternoon appt! I'm actully looking forward to going but at the same time am a little SACRED! :yikes: I'm hoping it's a good result. I haven't gone off the program and lord knows I've been exercising a lot! :ebike: :wl:

I'm a little depressed right now. I just got done talking to an old friend of mine, who I haven't talked to since December. WELL it turns out that she had the stomach surgery...you know where they make it the size of a thumb. She had it done in January. She tells me that she lost 70 lbs in 5 months. UGH. I have been on WW since Aug 2004 and have lost 56 lbs in 10 months. I know that I am doing it the healthy way and for the rest of my life. But it still is depressing to hear someone else lost more and faster in such a shorter time. Don't get me wrong, I am proud of myself for my accomplishment, but still. :( I didn't even tell her that I lost any weight at all. I just felt like I did nothing compare to her.

Sorry just needed to vent a little.

SPILLIE: I can totally reltate to what you said BUT: here's my theory on it: you are doing it the healthy and safe way--no drugs/surgery or whatever. You are doing it on your own w/o any help. To me, it means so much more this way b/c of the simple fact it's all on my own w/o the assistance of drugs or surgery. It's more of a struggle, yes, but you WILL make it thru to the end and will be so proud that you did it w/o all that stuff!!! Know what I mean? That's how I feel anyway....just wanted to throw that out there.

Besides....complications can arise down the road from that surgery too. Wouldn't you rather tell be you did it via WW with do help from diet pills or surgery? What an incentive that is to others in the same position!!! I too, at one point wanted the surgery--wanted a quick fix--so glad I didn't go that route though. I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished and yes, I've had some MAJOR set backs but I'm back on track and on my way!
