Yipes... I just realized I've left myself 30 minutes to shower and dress for work. Love you all... hope the cats and mice work out an appropriate survival strategy... and that everyone's kids are grateful they got born... even if they think their mothers can't do anything else right. I'm lovin' you all right now... and well get specific after I'm clean. (I'm not sure waxing and shaving will make much difference.. I'm sticking to my story (and a long skirt).
|
I love you too Painty.
And I love DS ... even thoughhhhh ... before he went to this Washington DC event, I bought him new shoes (dress ones that are way comfy and expensive) and a new blazer. He came home in the shoes, white shirt and tie. On the way home in the car, he ever-so-casually remarked that he had left the blazer in the Washington airport. But that was OK because he told the flight attendant and he/she said it would be sent on. Maybe it will. It has not yet. Kids are not forgetful. Their minds just move to something else. Sugar, I am serious. Mice carry diseases. Do not be so kind to them. |
Peachie - Regular DVD players are not very expensive anymore. Make DS "buy" you one for Mother's Day. i.e. buy yourself one.
One of my kitties caught a mouse last night -- outside. I'm not sure we have any inside right now, although about a month ago I saw one in the living room. The cats stared at where it went for a looooooooooooong time, but they never did anything about it. I am as careful as I can manage about cleaning anywhere I find mouse poop, but if our mice were carrying diseases, we'd all be dead -- we have had hundreds over the years. I sure wish I were more organized. I keep having to remind myself that I'm leaving for Charleston in 3 days. Even though it's only a long weekend, I have to have the right clothes for this shindig. And the weather :dunno: -- who knows? the forecast is for highs of 72, rain on Friday, sun on Saturday. It's going to be that kind of a trip where I have to pack everything. Well, except for the long underwear.. I made an appointment to get my hair cut tomorrow, but I don't have a clue what to tell them to do with it. It is way too long, and I'm ******ed when it comes to putting it up, so the only way I can think of to make it look nice for the wedding is to cut a few inches off and hope it looks decent as is. Today I'm making Scotch broth. I had a roast lamb shoulder the other day so I'm simmering the bone with some veggies from my freezer "veggies for soup" container (I wonder how old that is?) and onions and celery. Then I'm going to strain the broth and make a soup with barley, the leftover lamb and carrots, celery and onions. Maybe mushrooms too. They go well with barley. I'm still reading the French women don't get fat book. I don't think it's going to help me out much, although the recipes I've looked at sound interesting -- apple pie without crust, leek soup. Wabby, what are you surgery-ing? I hope it's not serious! Did you already tell us and I forgot? Speaking of forgetting, no wonder you've been forgetful, you've got this on your mind! Kiwi |
What is Wabby surgerying? How did I miss that? Well, I miss a lot. And I do own a real DVD player. The TV is so old that the DVD can't plug into it normal. When is Amazing Race on? Where can I find Chocoalte?

The Dr. is calling it surgery. I would call it a procedure. It will take care of the Aunt Flo problems, but darn, I won't be able to have any more children. It is not a hysterectomy. I go in on friday am, go home friday afternoon. The worst part is that I have to have general anesthesia. I always wake up nauseous. ick.
|
In that case, I hope you have a stress-free "procedure". Maybe I should have a procedure. On my brain! God I've got a wicked headache. Comes from too much coffee and junk food and not enough real food.
Oo, speaking of food, that soup last night was excellent. I am becoming the queen of soup. Maybe I should go into business. I could call it "Queen of Soup". "Queen of Chicken Noodle Soup" .. "Queen of Hamburger Soup" .. "Queen of Lamb and Barley Soup" Well, I got my hairs cut. It looked pretty good when I left the salon. Now it looks like a fat girl haircut to me. I have green fingers and a green tongue. I'm such a child. I bought a little bag of Cheetos that stain your tongue "Yoda Green". Kiwi |
I heared on the raydio that the Soup **** is opening a chain of soup kitchens allllllllllllll across the nation called "The Original Soup" or something like that with Original in the name. He prolly will not come to BeeSpit ME so you can open a shop... The Original Soup Kitchen ... that's.
Will Wabby be absent then? Boring myself. |
Yes. I will be absent friday until the following thursday. I know you will all miss me terribly. I could probably go back to work sooner, but I'm going to milk this for all its worth. I'm thinking of telling DH that I can't do dishes or laundry for 2 weeks - Doctor's orders!
I love soup too, Kiwi, but it's been summery here so I've been cooking summer time food like bbq hamburgers and chicken and pasta salad, corn on the cob, etc. The problem w/ it being summery is that I'm too fat to wear summer clothes. I need big bulky sweaters. Sorry about your sore brain, Kiwi. Did you watch Oprah yesterday when they discussed bowel movements & passing gas? They also talked about what we should eat to live long and have healthy lives. Chocolate was not on the list, but red wine was. My hair always looks good when I leave the stylist, but I can never duplicate it. I style it into the old lady do the next day. Guess that's because I'm the old lady. You have lovely taffy colored hair, Kiwi. It could never be fat girl hair. OK. I'm off to read some more of the curious incident of the dog in the night-time. It's past due so I've got to hurry up. I still haven't bought The Mermaid Chair. Peach, did the blazer show up yet? |

I can't drink red wine, it gives me migraines. Which I think means I should eat a lot of chocolate, don't you? Did you notice the new smilies? This one :tantrum: seems useful. Well, Wabby, we will definitely miss you. If you should happen across a 'puter that's not at the office (to be avoided at all costs, I should think), be sure to sign on and tell us how it went. I'm heading out to the airport around 3 or 4 in the morning tonight?tomorrow. I'm nearly packed. By which I mean I picked out some shoes and some jewelry to take. I still have laundry to do, I think.... Kiwi |
Kiwi, PLEASESSEEEE details about shoes and jewelry please. I am fighting off thoughts that you are getting kinky ... or have been always ... probably that.

Did I ever tell you that I organized all my shoes last fall sometime and put the decent ones in shoeboxes with printed labels. Now, that's kinky. Anyway, I went with the taupe 1.25" heel Trotters for the wedding. And the tan huarache sandals for the rehearsal dinner. And for jewelry, I've brought pearls for the wedding, and other stuff for other stuff. You didn't really want to know this, did you? It just gives me an excuse to waste more time on the computer instead of finishing my laundry. Kiwi |
Yes, I was concerned about what was in between the Pearls and the Huaraches.
You got $47 for working out? |
G'bye Kiwi! Have fun at the wedding!
