goddesskde 04-27-2005 09:56 AM

I'm good. Just sipping coffee and hanging out before I have to go get my eyes checked again. Gonna look at new frames again this year. I'm such a glasses junkie

chubbyvixen 04-27-2005 09:59 AM

I need to go get some new glasses. I have some cute little rectangle Calvin Kleins but I think I want some new ones. Ok, Im going to go get a pregnancy test. Ill be back later. Oh, Lynn, I added your quote to my site. Thanks.

Love,
Deanne

goddesskde 04-27-2005 10:02 AM

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

chubbyvixen 04-27-2005 10:44 AM

Ok, Im not pregnant. I have to say I am a little disappointed. But there are so many things going on with us right now as far as our living situation and Nics job. Also, it just means that I have more time to get myself healthy before we have kids. Now, I can relax and continue with weight watchers. Thanks for the support y'all!! I don't have any girl friends over here so its nice to have y'all to talk to.

Anyway, Im trying to decide on what to have for dinner. Probably just a boca burger and some Healthy Choice mac and cheese. Oh, I have a question for y'all. I have some frozen french fries. If I just bake them in the oven...how many points would that be? Any idea?

Love,
Deanne

goddesskde 04-27-2005 10:58 AM

Deanne
Since the cooking process doesnt add fat or calories you should be able to put in the calories, fat and fiber into the ww site and come up with a good idea of the points
I know how it goes with the pregnancy thing. Mine came up negative a few times and I didnt know if it was a good or bad thing. it worked out well for me since now I have 4 beautiful girls..

chubbyvixen 04-27-2005 11:01 AM

Ok, Ill check the fries. I just wanted something different to eat. Im also looking for the points for pesto. Anyway, you're so lucky to have 4 girls! Do you want to have any boys?

Love,
Deanne

goddesskde 04-27-2005 11:05 AM

LOL well i DID want to have a boy, but after that fourth girl I decided it wasnt in the cards for us. I had my tubes tied the day after Kenzie was born. I did not want to be a baby factory forever. 8 years of pregnancy/toddlers was enough for me. Its funny. I used to get all teary when someone else had a little baby. Now I just thank God I dont have to get up at 3 am to feed/rock/change a newborn. I wouldnt have another baby even if someone could garuntee it would be a boy.

candlelady4 04-27-2005 11:53 AM

Girls I had fun reading your post, you'll had a good time this morning sorry I missed out. I know for Deanne it is especially nice to have people to talk to, and speaking of you girlfriend I hope not being pregnant is alright with you, just not in the cards right now. Deanne go to Delphi forums and click on creative arts and they have the graphics there. I spend hours going through their website, love graphics. I wish I could make them, may just try one day.

Sure hope you feel better soon Lynn, it is the pits being sick. :(

Kim four girls how neat, I agree four is enough.

I went to Wal-Mart and got my walking in. I have done it 6 out of 7 days, now that is a first for me. :cheer: I have the afternoon off no grandkids or husband, hhmmmm wonder what I will do? It sounds like a good afternoon to take a little nap and watch a few soaps, then I have got to get some ironing done.

I have decided not to do Atkins, too boring and I am not sticking to it at all. I am going to watch my portions and eat healthy and try to stay away from the sweets. I had a bowl of shredded wheat for breakfast, yum love that stuff.

I will check on you all later....

o2bskinny 04-27-2005 12:48 PM

OMG!!! This forum is a hoot! I just got home from school and It took a while to read it all. I couldn't wait to get to the end and see if Deanne was Prego! It will happen when it is meant to be. Glad you took the test though, now you know.

Kim and I walked this morning and we will walk early again tomorrow. I have to take my dad to Chemo tomorrow. I have the say, the walks do start my day more energized.

I am off to lunch with a friend, so I will be back later!

Kim

chubbyvixen 04-27-2005 01:15 PM

Hey girls!!

goddesskim- Nic and I would love to adopt after we have 2 kids. His dad adopted kids in his first marriage so I know Nic would love it. I have always wanted to adopt too. The good thing about raising kids here is EVERYONE that has kids, has a maid. Im not saying that I want a maid to handle my kids all the time. I just would love to have a maid to help out around the house and keep the kids if needed. I know it would help. Especially if NIc and I both were working, the kids wouldnt have to go to daycare.

Diane- You are such a sweetheart! Not having a baby right now is totally ok. Like I said, I can work on my health and weight and marriage. Nothing wrong with that, right? THanks for the clipart info. You should definetly make your own! Oh and I understand about Atkins.

Kim- All I could think of with your first sentence was, "These are the days of our lives..." Hehe...How long do you and Kim walk in the mornings? Hows the weather there? Do y'all ever make it to Jackson?

Ok, I had a sort of kiddie dinner. I had these chicken fingers...I got to eat 5 of them for 4 points. Not bad. I baked some french fries for 4.5 points. Then, Ill have an apple before bed. I'll end the day at 23.5 points. What about y'all? How was your eating today?

Love y'all,
Deanne

goddesskde 04-27-2005 03:47 PM

We walk about 30 mintues or so, spend more than that standing in front of my house gabbing lol. The weather here is beautiful right now, 65 and sunny. It's supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow but stormy, we'll see how it is at 8 am .. hopefully we can get our walk in before it starts raining on us.
I know my life can be a soap opera sometimes. All the drama without all the sex LOL. I guess thats a good thing though.. in soaps people sleep with everyone.
My older two girls got into a world of trouble with the DH last night. I asked them AGAIN to clean up their room and of course they didnt. So when we got home from ball practice he went upstairs and started packing up their stuff. He took the computer, tv, video games, cd players, kareoke machine, all their nick nacks, pillows (he left them each one pillow and a blanket to put on the beds) and any article of clothing that wasnt put away. They are down to bare bones LOL and absolutely not happy about it. But maybe when I ask them to do something they'll think twice about blowing me off.

goddesskde 04-27-2005 03:48 PM

Oh and my eating has been pretty ok. I did eat a carb smart candy bar though. Low carb and no sugar. I dont know if it was totally in plan ,but boy was it good.

lateralus98 04-27-2005 03:54 PM

It is so hard to keep up with all of your posts!!! :dizzy:

As far as my nutrition plan goes, I just eat healthier than I used to (not as much fast food, not very much regular soda, tracking calories, etc.) and I go to Curves once a day, except Sundays, of course. Just that alone helped me lose 12 lbs. Yippee!

You all sure are an active bunch. A lot more active than some of the other threads I post on! ;)

goddesskde 04-27-2005 04:01 PM

Lusteralus, do you mind me asking how tall you are.. Just wondering since your goal weight is so low..

lateralus98 04-27-2005 04:04 PM

5'0'' and a half inch ;)

lateralus98 04-27-2005 04:08 PM

Well actually, I just went to the doc and I'm 5'1'' now. like the 1/2 inch actually makes a difference. but when you're my height, you take all you can get

goddesskde 04-27-2005 04:17 PM

AHHHH that's what it is.. lol

lateralus98 04-27-2005 04:19 PM

nah i'm not trying to starve myself, i've just been blessed by being short hehe

goddesskde 04-27-2005 04:20 PM

well i'm not short or tall..sort of average.. 5'6in that and I'm old and have lots of kids.. i'll be happy with 140 lol

lateralus98 04-27-2005 06:53 PM

Heck, I'll be happy if I weigh 140.

jessicamt 04-27-2005 09:16 PM

oh man is it busy in here, welcome to everybody new, so glad you all have joined, this group is so awesome, everybody here is super nice and cool.

That would be so much fun, all of us going on a cruise, we would look so sexy ;) .

Hey Deanne, wow have you had some excitement. I have had a couple of scares, but thats all, its kind of nerve racking and i do to get a little disappointed somtime. Its just all my freinds are married with kids, so i guess i would be kind of envious of them at times. But i know i should enjoy the time i do have, so im greatful, i know if will happen for me. But you know what i really wish. I wish i have someone that is pregnant with me at the same time, that would be so cool, lol, i have had a couple of freinds pregnant once, they were so cool lol.

Well today is my off day, i hung out with my grandma today, we went shopping for my moms birthday and mothers day, and i have still have to get a present for my sister for her graduation, man that really adds up. Mojo is getting fixed this weekend too, poor little guy, he is such a cutie.

Thanks everybody for all the support about the job, I am just gonna go with the flow and see what is offered, and just really think about whats best first for myself. Well i am going to have to check back more often, it took me forever to catch up. I love you ladies! talk to you all soon.

oh yea by the way, i lost 4 pounds, i weighed myself this morning thinking i have gained cause i have not been working out, but i have lost, so i was soo excited. So so far i have lost 10 pounds, yay! oh man i need to change my ticker. Thanks ladies, you all have helped.

Love ya
Jessica

goddesskde 04-27-2005 09:56 PM

YEEE HAAAAWWW Jessica! Congratulations on your loss!!

o2bskinny 04-27-2005 11:30 PM

Welcome to all the newbys!

Jessica ~ Congrats on the 4 pounds gone! Way to go! Especially since you weren't really expecting it! Those little surprises are the best! :D

I may not have to take my dad to chemo tomorrow after all. Now he is feeling better! YEA! I am keeping my fingers crossed that he stays feeling so good.

Ok, Just curious - I saw this post on another thread or maybe it was a poll, I am not sure, but my question to everyone is.......
What is your ideal size for YOUR body? I think mine is an 8. I am only 5'3" and small boned. I was a size 3-5 when I got married in 87. Of course, my body is different now, but an 8 would be great! I would take a 10 though. ;)

I want to hear what your answers are!

chubbyvixen 04-28-2005 02:04 AM

Mornin' chickas...or night for y'all.

GoddessKIM- That story about your husband taking your girls stuff out of their room....so funny. My parents did the same thing! It worked. You wrote... "well i'm not short or tall..sort of average.. 5'6in that and I'm old and have lots of kids.. i'll be happy with 140 lol"...shut up!!!

Lateralus- I'm ALMOST 5'2" so I can totally understand. I couldn't believe how low my weight range is! My goal of 125 lbs is at the top of it!

Jessica- Way to go!!! A 4 lb loss is great! Its always nice when you think you havent lost and you're surprised. Good motivation. Oh, what kind of dog is Mojo?

Kim- Im so glad that your dad is feeling better! Thats great news. Oh and my ideal size is a 4-6. Haha...we'll see if that ever happens!

Things are good in this part of the world. A gorgeous day. I think I might lay out today. TOM will probably come today so maybe not. I feel sluggish. Maybe a movie day.

Love,
Deanne

chubbyvixen 04-28-2005 07:01 AM

hey girls...i know no one is on but I just felt like posting.

I am having the best lunch. Its my TOM so I was STARVING. I wanted something that was alot of food but wasnt a buttload of points. So, I made these chicken crisper things(3) and they are 3 points. Then, I had leftover UB's ready rice(1/3 cup) at 1 point. And a 1/2 cup of sweet peas for 1 point. I know it may not seem like the best lunch but it really is hitting the spot for me. I think Ill even have a piece of fruit when Im done. Yum :)

I hope y'all are sleeping well...have a good day when you get up!

Love,
Deanne

kclay61 04-28-2005 08:35 AM

I"m here, just not feeling well - I go back OP today - get three 'free days' and it ended yesterday. Not sure how well I will eat today tho, my throat hurts and all. We shall see.

goddesskde 04-28-2005 09:56 AM

Well i think my ideal size is an 8 as well..a 6 would be nice, but highly unlikely I actually have hips and i doubt they'll enjoy being shoved into a 6 lol
and deanne, i'm old and i do have lots of kids.. lol i just face the facts. I'm not shy about saying i'm 32 and have 4 kids. Ask my 12 yr old.. she'll tell you i'm older than dirt.
We went for our walk this morning even though it was sprinkling on our heads. It was nice though. I enjoy getting out every morning. It gives me a reason to get up and not sleep half the day

goddesskde 04-28-2005 11:10 AM

Ok, i just finished my windsor pilates 20 minutes work out.. I'm guessing I'm gonna hurt tomorrow lol

krngallo 04-28-2005 11:22 AM

Hi Curvy Vixens!!!!

Okay---so beat me up with a wet noodle y'all (Deanne & Lynn in particular!). I have been absent way too long! Sorry about that. Guess I owe you a short novel to explain. I just got done reading all 19 pages of this thread! Wow--do you think its time to start a new chapter? Feels like just yesterday Deanne and I were chatting on the buddy board and dreamed up this "Curvy Vixens" group. We are the female foxes--everyone here that is!

Anyway....I need to do some catching up and fill you all in...but wanted to send out a quick hello and let you know I am alive and kicking. I will be back shortly to explain myself....like Ricky says to Lucy "you have some splainin to do!"

Tootles for now my fair maiden friends! :D
