Whew, tired again :tired: (big surprise, eh?) I shave my workout down to about 40 minutes yesterday--25 on the eliptical and 15 on the recumbent bike. That way, I had time for dinner before my hostess shift. I got in all 1296 calories PLUS had 2 glasses of milk when I got home (at 90 calories each, total for the day was 1476). I think 1476 is pretty good--felt much better about that. I'd still like to squeeze in a few more, but I don't want to overdo it, either. I'm sure I'll make up for it plenty over this holiday weekend, though :p

My boss is going to be out for all of next week except Friday. Party in the office! :cb: Actually, I really like my boss--I just hate that our computer monitors are set up so they face the door of our cubicles. That means anyone walking by or popping in is behind me and can see what's on my screen. Not that I'm checking out porn or anything like that, but I hate getting caught chatting on AIM or checking my personal email (or reading/posting on 3FC ;) ). I've actually talked about it with my boss before. She knows I work in "spurts"...I'll come in and work for a couple hours, then take 20 minutes to just putz around, then work for another 90 minutes, then go chat with people for half an hour...which means I don't ever actually work 8 hours in an 8-hour day. Apparently, I get things done so much faster than everyone else that my boss has flat out told me she doesn't mind me only doing work for half the day since I still end up with more (and higher quality) output than half the other people in the office. What an ego booster for me!! :D But even though she knows I don't work constantly, I feel bad when I "get caught" doing something else. I have joked that the reason I am so big is to hold all of my conscience that would never fit inside a normal person :p

I hardly packed any calories for today (560) since I only have to work 1 job. It will be nice to leave here at 2, get to Jeff's house by 4, and just collapse on his couch for a nap before going out to dinner (that leaves me about 1040 calories for dinner!). mmm...I get happy just thinking about it...napping...:cloud9:

I actually fell asleep here at my desk for about 10 minutes this morning. Good thing no one else is here as early as me and I didn't leave any tell-tale traces of drool or anything :p

Well, time to fill up ye olde water bottle and start crackin' on my work for the day. Have a Fabulous Friday, everyone!!

haha, can you share some of that enthusiasm and energy with me please? :p I actually drink milk every day. I have milk with dinner all the time, which my boyfriend thinks is really weird, but that's how I was raised. I can no longer drink whole milk--well, physically, yes I can, it is a possibility, but it's too thick and icky compared to the skim I am so used to. I also have cereal with calcium-fortified skim milk for breakfast every morning, so I know I'm getting my calcium, if nothing else :D

Bah, 3 more hours of work...I just want to leave and go to Jeff's and sleeeeeep...then go out for dinner so I can finally have something that I didn't have to pack in my lunch bag the night before :hun:

dragonwoman64 03-25-2005 11:11 AM

Good Friday morning all.

I lost 2 1/2 lbs this week, unfortunately it's the same 2 1/2 lbs I gained last week. :^: Now my ticker is accurate again. :^:

I'm happy about the weight, but happiest about getting my good habits back, the walking (7 days, yeah) and getting the snacking in control.

Congrats Heather on getting back on program. I'm with Aimee, you guys with your schedules would probably floor me.

Aimee, I think I'm projecting a little; I'm going through job burnout and have no idea of what I want for the next phase. My family, well, let's just leave it at well!

I wanted to write more, but we're going out to lunch today. Take care.

SwimGirl 03-25-2005 12:11 PM

Goodmorning! So I'm running behind this morning, I have no idea how it happened! But I figure I know what I'm wearing, which shaves off like 20 minutes off my getting ready time. Ever since I cut my hair it takes me over an hour to get ready for work, now I have to blow dry it, and hot iron it. I actually enjoy doing it, I don't know whats wrong with me! My hair is still really healthy, I'm hoping when I get it coloured maybe it'll dry out a TINY bit (my hair is all silky and unmanagable). I use tons of products to make it stay in place.

Jill - my brother works like you, but he goes into work 3 hours late, and leaves 1-2 hours early but always manages to out produce everyone he works with. It's the weekend! You can sleep in tomorrow :) And so can I!! :) heh.

Diana - I am pretty sarcastic.. it's a curse really. Sometimes people don't get it, so I try and hold it back a little. People often say my boyfriend and I are exactly alike, we have the exact same humour. It's cute really.. hehe.. I'm modest too! ;)

Kimberley - I'm thinking you are right, and this way it'll give me some time to work on my feet (I got some kinda fungus or something last summer.. and it just reappeared.. ICK!!). 2 weeks on plan (how about 90% on plan?), with exercise! It's a plan! I am unstoppable!! ;)

Marge - Great job on the weight loss :) I'm very happy for you, it's nice to lose those pounds you gain! I jumped on my scale this morning to see if my theory was true about my weight loss.. and I'm down again. 1.5 pounds, so I'm still up 1 pound, but now that I've got my secret weapon... I AM UNSTOPPABLE! lol, I'm in a goofy mood.

So here's my secret weapon... One a day Weight Smarts. I've been trying to take them everyday again (with a meal, otherwise they'll make you sick), and since I have I've managed to drop the extra 6 pounds I had gained. I suggest ya'll try 'em. :) I have to go shower!

Are those just the one-a-day vitamin supplements? or is it some kind of diet pill?

Marge--don't you hate the losing what you just gained back? Well, not the losing it, the knowing that it was already gone once :dizzy: I know I used to talk to my sister baout my dieting and would tell her when I lost weight butnot when I gained, so in her mind, I had lost about 50 pounds after a while, but in reality, it was just the same 5 pounds 10 times

Kimberley--I am so glad my gym is not full of teens this week, even though it is spring break here. Hmm, I wonder where they all are, actually? Not that I'm not far from being a teen myself, but I hate trying to work out with the high school athletes all around--kind of intimidating. Well, maybe not so much intimidating as annoying (oh my god, like, did you see Jane and Nick at that party last night? They so totally hooked up! Oh, I'm so glad we came to the gym. I'm so fat! *pats her protruding hip bone*). I was so over the high school drama before it even started in my life, I'd much rather not relive it now :p

Diana--mmmmmmmm...Chinese...:T Do you have a PF Chang's near you? They have the most amazing Chinese food, and, while it may not be the healthiest food in the world, it is certainly better than take-out "fast food" Chinese.

Alright, 53 minutes of work left (but who's counting?). Comfy napping couch, here I come!

That's a SCREAM! I can so relate.

I didn't lose one stinkin' pound this week, despite cutting my calories back this week after my two off plan days last weekend. I kept to 1200-1400 or less calories a day this whole week. But...I didn't drink enough water, I know that. And the last two days with the bad headaches, I slept a lot. A LOT. Didn't burn any calories doing that. I'm just in a down place at the moment. :( It's one of those inevitable humps I've got to get past, mentally.

Happy Easter all!

I am so tired this evening. It was no exercise day to day.........yeah right! After a brisk power shop around Bury Market Dh and I walked up Holcombe Hill Now looking at the picture on this page, you can see a big tower, in the foreground some houses. We live in one of the houses, walked up the hill to the tower, walked up the steps to the top of the tower and then back home again. I was a bit naughty and had an ice cream at one of the vans on the way down, but I thoroughly deserved it!!!!

Back to the gym and pool tomorrow morning, if my little legs can still move.

hey Swim Girl, you are lucky you can reach your toenails  Can you coem and paint mine please????

DianaLS 03-25-2005 06:14 PM

Hellloooooo all!

hey everyone...Let me see how ya all are doing....Jill...Nope, never heard of that restaurant, our Chinese places here are all family owned ( mafia actually)...And the one thing I really miss that you cannot get here, which I think is very odd, is Almond Chicken...I will be getting myself some of that when we go back to Ohio to visit...and, hmm, thought u wrote in an earlier post u hated milk,,lol my mistake :moo:

WTG Marge...going in the right direction..I won't start seeing a loss until I begin a steady work-out routine... A cpl more weeks and I will be on my way! :dancer:

Aimeee--You are too funny. I know sometimes ppl do not know how to take my sarcasm , but I LOVE IT...I know what you are saying about your hair too...Seems like I need to get a great stylist after I lose my weight, or at least half...last time I went to one, I ended up with Dorothy Hamils' do from the 70s..UGH!!!! I refuse to go til I get a thinner face...Looked like she put a bowl on my head and cut...felt like "Mo" of Three Stooges fame, It was horrendous... :yikes:

and, Kimberley...you have done so great already, so you had a rough week, we all do...just look at at this way, Sunday begins a new one, and you can only move forward from there!

Sigh, I really miss my friend. I hate it when we have weeks like this one when we don't chat or hear too much from each other..She is my "Soul-sis" in every sense of the word...Sigh! :(

Well am off, have a great night , will BBL!!

DianaLS 03-25-2005 06:30 PM

LOL you wore me out just telling me all about your day, then when I looked at those pics...wow, you must be tired, and anyone deserves an ice-cream after that hike...I would love to go there someday..I would love to go the British Isles and tour old castles...Sigh, maybe some day we will...Beautiful!! and, if u should happen to bump into Hugh Grant, please tell him I said hello ( SHHH don't let DH see that ) :^: :o

HAG Weekend!

 It's true!!

I've gone through this before, and I'll go through it again, ha. I'd rather see it off than on, that's for sure. March was a sucky weight loss month for me.

Sure Rob, I can handle having Valentine's candy around, let's buy some!! :dz: That's what's known as the weight loss delusional moment!

Kimberley, every time I've had some injury and haven't been able to exercise (or if I don't exercise because I blew it off), I've either gained or maintained. Every time it happens I still feel bummed about it. Luckily there's next week. My body doesn't always go by my brain's time schedules, unfortunately!! Hang in there!

Diana, can't wait to hear about Curves. Keep us posted.

Today I tried TGI Fridays for the first time, hey, and on a Friday! Then we stopped at Lane Bryant (right next door) and I bought a hooded sweat shirt type top in a turquoise blue. They have some cute spring stuff. Then we walked through the park, met my bil who was feeding the squirrels (he takes peanuts to the park). So got a nice walk in. A nice, self-indulgent day.

Enjoy your evening.

 Once, when I had short hair, I went to get a trim and told my stylist to do what he felt like (I'd gone to him a bunch of times before). Well, I came out of there in tears! I look like I'd gotten a buzz cut!!

Kylie! Cute places! Here's Prospect Park http://www.prospectpark.org/dest/main.cfm?Target=home

Gotta get off the computer and do some stuff. Ga night!!

Ok, one more post! Rob loves milk. He drinks it whole and I drink it skim. He'll order it in restaurants. Luckily, NY is a dairy state!

I made it thru my day today... barely. Lots of gossip crap happened today, we'll see what will happen.. I was talking to my friend and she told me how her store was closing, and I said I knew, and asked her what she was going to do. Well, she went to her manager and asked her what going to happen, and mentioned that our store already knew about her store closing (it was supposed to be a secret). I'm curious to see how it will play out.. because this time my District Manager and Assistant manager were the ones gossiping.. teehee, I hate my job!

Jill - 1 a day weight smarts are a vitamin, I bought them at a grocery store (sorta like Fred Meyer). Perhaps its a psychological thing that happens.. but I enjoy that I seem to be losing weight. I use SO many products on my hair, it's INSANE! First I use Brilliant Brunette Straighting stuff, then I finish blowdrying my hair, and then I put wax on it, and then straight iron it, and when I'm done I use Citri Shine frizz/shine stuff, and when I'm DONE, I use hairspray. Insane huh?

Diana - find a picture! And you need a better stylist, a good stylist would know what would suit your face shape. I really suit short hair, and I want bangs, but they just didn't work out too well this time. I was barely born in the 70's and don't know the hair cut you are talking about.. I'm sorry :(

Alrighty! I am off to watch What Not to Wear! I shall bbl!

-Aimee

Well gals, looks like this is it until Monday! Have a great weekend! Don't eat too much chocolate, and Stay on PLAN!!!
