Just wanted to tell you to have a great weekend! Any plans? Not much going on here, but I am just glad to relax!

Star 08-26-2005 04:38 PM

no big plans here either.......just trying to stay POP......
have a great one!

rebelridergirl 08-29-2005 11:26 AM

Good morning ladies!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was ok. We went to our nieces birthday party yesterday and they had lasagna, garlic bread, cheese dip, and cake and neither dh or I had a single bite! I was so proud of us!!

I was going to go out and practice on my bike last night, but we got home a little late and it was starting to storm.

Well, hope you all are well. Check back later!

rebelridergirl 08-30-2005 10:51 AM

Good morning!

Hey Star- Did you stay POP over the weekend? I did well except for some chocolate chips! I felt really gross after eating them, too.

I actually did some exercise yesterday. I did 30 min. on the Gazelle, 8 min. of Tae Bo, and ab work on the stability ball. It wasn't too bad either...I was (am) upset with dh and that tends to help me release frustrations. LOL

Star 08-30-2005 10:58 AM

Well the weekend was full of going out to eat and therefore food.....
I can't explain it but I'm more off plan than on plan. I know it's wrong, but thd disipline I had seems to have run off somewhere? I hope to sound negitive and am not really feeling that negitive, just acting wrong.
I had my bloodwork done and have an appt for the end of Sept to see my doctor. I plan on having a heart to heart with her about my struggle to be 'normal' weight. I haven't seen her in several years and I'm thinking she will want to help me get these last 15-20 pounds off. Afterall I started out at 216 with her. I'm still thinking there is a problem with my thyroid but can't really read the bloodwork. My other doctor ordered the blood work so my MD has just got it in the mail. I'm quite anxious to see what she says.....
Otherwise I'm good and happy for all you that are doing way better than me. I'm sure this will pass, but it seems like it is taking longer than normal.

rebelridergirl 08-31-2005 11:42 AM

Star- That will be great when you get to talk to your Dr. Maybe she can help you out with the thyroid.

We got a new kitten last night and he's a little wild man! He's all black, big yellow eyes, and we named him Simba. He's very sweet, but super playful. He did take to the litter box right away, which was a big relief. Now if only he'll get along with Lucy (my little old terrier mix)...

Dh and I took a walk last night and did good on eating. We were too busy! This evening will be interesting working out with Simba chasing me, but he'll get used to it!

Hello!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Slightly Annoyed

Ok, so I have been great on my plan. Added exercise this week. No fast food. No cheating. Given up my beloved beer :o and practically drowned myself in water and I didn't lose this week. :?:

I think its so hard now that I'm older. When I was 25 it just melted off, now losing a couple pounds is incredibly hard. I'm sure that next week I will lose a pound or so, but it is annoying.

I don't have any intentions on throwing in the towel...just frustrated.

Star 09-02-2005 10:52 AM

Andrea - Good for you...keep up the hard work and you'll see progress for sure!

rebelridergirl 09-02-2005 11:29 AM

Thanks Star. Thanks for the support.

Another draggy day at work. I am so ready for the weekend. I actually have a break today, which is great. I am trying to find another forum to post on also...this one is kinda dead.LOL. So that way when its lonely in here, I'll have somewhere else to go. I think posting helps with accountability.

Star 09-02-2005 11:33 AM

Reb - if you find one let me know where you go, I'll follow....
I also post on LAWL but since I'm not really on the diet I should post somewhere else too....let me know.

rebelridergirl 09-02-2005 11:38 AM

Yeah, I am trying to do some looking. I read some of the Butterflies under this Misc section and they seem like a small nice group. I would LOVE to both go to a new group. This was a good idea and all and maybe we'll have some posts on here from time to time, but I like having more interaction. Keep your eyes open, too, ok? Let me know if you find something as well.

Star 09-02-2005 12:12 PM

I'll check out the Butterflies too.

Star 09-02-2005 12:43 PM

Rebel - I think the Butterflies is perfect for you. They are a younger group and seem very nice and friendly. Why don't you join them. As for me, I think I will just hang low for awhile. Maybe I'll pop in from time to time......

rebelridergirl 09-07-2005 11:46 AM

Hello to anyone still out there!

Star- How was your long weekend? Did you have a great time? Is the temp getting cooler up in your area? Our nights are getting much cooler, but the days are still fairly warm.

Do you have any suggestions for fun workouts (short) to do on weekends? Anything dance, basic yoga, basic pilates?

Is your motivation getting back or are you still not too sure? We had a cheat day this weekend and I really did feel guilty, but I got back to it. I bought some Denise Austin videos on eBay and I am really hoping they will be in today!

Have a good one!
