Yay new chicks!!!
:welcome3: to Stella & Tiffany!! I ride this... http://imageserver4.textamerica.com/...9100416939.jpg I've had it since 1985 or so.... I'm a calorie counter and have been working out using the workout routines from the book Winning By Losing by Jillian Michaels (the trainer for the show Biggest Loser)...I'm slowly attempting to get to goal and be toned when I get there. |
Hi Gina!
I know there are muscles somewhere in my abdomen-they are hurting from yesterdays workout. if I keep up the workouts and diet I may even SEE them! You are inspiringly close to goal! Hooorrraayyyy! Is that a daily ride? It has storage under the seat doesnt it??? (envy!) I saw one at the HD dealer and he nearly sold me on it- Ohh to the days when I was not toting a bunch of toddlers... He He He On the funny side I had an ugly grasshopper green moped for years- it was a fun ride and got such great gas mileage that I wish I still had it. I was in my teens and my parents were freaked out that I would be killed. :P |
It's a daily ride....under the seat are the gas and oil tanks...200 cc's of 4 speed, aircooled two stroke....(the new ones are automatic & 4 stroke) there is a little bit of space under the seat for a light jacket if you don't mind it smelling of gas...the glove box in the front works better. This bike tops out at 65 MPH or so...I don't take the freeway much anymore. I used to when the limit was 55. Just for the record it's nit a moped...it's a scooter... :P no biggie...only the guys who ride scooters seem to be touchy about this...I guess mopeds are even more unmanly than scooters
|
He He He I know it is a scooter- I used to ride a moped *GRIN*
You have a glovebox? COOOOOLLL!!! It must be a lot of fun to ride! It goes fast! I used to use a backpack when I was on motorcycle- and I will again with this one since we cant afford the saddlebags. I am hesitant to buy off ebay since I am not sure if they would fit. |
Hey Chicks I am back! Had a great 3 weeks off. I joined a gym and have been working out nearly every day. My DS roped me into it. I went on a 3 mile rock climbing hike on Saturday. It was so pretty but hotter than ****.
Welcome Stella and Tiffany. Glad to have you join us. Kathy what a wonderful ride. And all by yourself! Wow I am impressed. I don't know if I could do it solo. That is way cool! I have been to four weddings an engagement party and had my 25th wedding anniversary while I was out and still lost weight! I think it has been harder this summer, but I am sticking to it. Hope you all have a great day and Keep on Keep'n on Biker Chicks! |
i passenger on hubbies HD-but I off road ride, i ride a dirtbike and quad. I love the bike for trails-it is really my favorite..yes i feel like it is a workout-you really feel it in your arms and legs if you do some good trails..but way too hot here to ride for me until the fall when the temp drops below 110!!!!

I WANT A SCOOTER LIKE THAT!!!! Kris would probably have issues with parking it next to the Harley though, probably wouldn't ride with me either! Butthead! He is in love with our bike, I think I may even come in second to it. He wants me to email him pictures overseas of his bike. LOSER!! Anyway, my plan is to wait until the end of August. By then I will weigh less than I did 9 years ago. Only 8lbs to go for that mini goal. My plan is to have a friend of mine take a pic of me on the bike similar to an Easy Rider magazine. I will not wear a bikini, but I just bought a new corset thingy with garters and fishnets. I am going to wear it when he comes home the end of Septemeber, but a little preview shot on the bike wouldn't hurt him. ;) not too much anyway. He has not seen any of my weight loss so far. I have only been sending him head shots so far!! :D

He He He!
That is the way to welcome home your soldier! I have to plan a special suprise for when my sailor returns. BTW: Actually if it goes over 35 mph it should NOT be called a scooter--- it should be called a Zoomer HA! |
It is just my way of "Supporting our Troops"!!!

WOW!! I'm gone a few days and come back to a nice surprise of new biker babes and the return of HarleyMom!! Awesome Sunday!
Hi Tiffany, Stella and drtrdrmom!!!! My husband and I ride a '03 HD Softtail. I ride passenger. I also have an '85 Honda Rebel 250 cc that I have been practicing on. I havent rode much this year, since I'm just feeling too big and gross on back of the bike. What plans are you all doing for weight loss? Tiffany- That sounds like a great idea to surprise your hubby with! Stella- Congrats on your streetbob! drtrdrmom- I think that doing off road trails on a quad would be so much fun. HarleyMom- So glad to see you back. You have done fabulous on your weight loss and exercise! Gina- Did you have a good weekend? Hey, I got a question of Jillian's program. I see that she has DVD sets for Front, back, and cardio. Is that pretty much what you're doing? I think that I could follow a video better than book, so I was just curious. Have a great one, chickies~! |
Hey there to you too!
My plan is simple, or at least if feels that way. I eat 5-6 100-300 calorie mini meals a day. Averaging between 900-1400 calories. Every day and every meal differs. It has been working well for me so far. I have lost my 31lbs in a little over two months. By varying the calories, I think I am keeping my metabolism guessing. I hope things continue to go as well as they have been. I have been on Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, Fat Free, and STARVATION diets in the past. This new way is really working for me, I don't even feel like cheating, not even a little. Well, I do plan on cheating big time on my birthday. It is August 8, I'm turning 30, my friends and I are going out for dinner, and I am ordering WHATEVER I WANT. After dinner there will be large quantities of alcohol consumed. I drink vodka diet Coke, so not as many calories as other drinks but I think there will be a few more than average consumed. Maybe planning a cheat day a month will help me always stay on track, like something to look forward to. But like I said before, I don't FEEL like cheating. I am full all the time. |
I am doing Nutri-System to get started and then switching to WW :)
I am very proud of myself because I had a weekend out with the family and stayed on plan! I am so happy! With the heatwave I am sure that the pounds are dripping off HA HA HA! You know Tiff- last night was going to be my cheat night- and oddly enough I just ate enough to stay in my range- I did not even taste the HUGE dessert the table ordered. So do not be too suprised if on your birthday you just do not feel like going very far over your mark :) NICE TO MEET YOU REBELRIDERGIRL AND DRTRIDER and everyone else! Love this thread! |
I love this thread too! And your right, even when I plan on having a bad day, like I know we are going out to dinner or something. I still stay within my calorie range. Weird, huh? I guess I have made some big changes and haven't noticed it yet. When I used to go out to a restaurant, I would clean my plate! Now I seem to only eat about half of whats on my plate. I am full, can't eat anymore. Hmm? Maybe permanent eating habits have changed, for good??? It is a nice thought...hopefully. I won't fully know until I am at goal and maintaining.
Another funny thing I just thought of. I could be at or near goal by New Year's! Instead of being depressed and thinking about empty resolutions about losing weight, I will just have to think about keeping the willpower for maintaining! This is the strongest I have felt while losing weight. The most optimistic, etc. This board has been a great help to me. I know that it will continue to be. If I have a question, I have so many people to ask. If I am depressed or discouraged, I have the same people to support me!! |
Woohoo!!! I am getting closer, I weighed myself this morning, TWO MORE POUNDS LOST!!! I was so excited. I only have 27 to go until the end of Sept!!, Maybe I can do it. I have been losing pretty rapidly so far. I have lost 33 since the end of May, maybe I can get the rest off before Kris gets home!!! In "the rest" I mean get down to 199. That is my goal for his homecoming.
I just wanted to share. |
Congratulations Tiffany! You are losing super quick! Keep up the great work, girl.
